Whether you call your Mother, Mom, Mere, Mutter, Madre or any one of countless titles in numerous languages, it all means the same thing: The one that births or adopts you, nurtures you, loves you unconditionally, raises you, is your soft place to fall.

One day a year really isn’t enough of a tribute for the woman who gave birth to you but it’s a good place to start. It may have been years since you’ve agreed on anything but deep inside you realize all that she’s done for you. So take time out and find ways to show her that you appreciate it! If you and your mom are already best friends, count your blessings and celebrate the day!
