Human actions take toll on "everything."

Research shows the depliting resources and condition of the world we live in, Earth. Organizations, news, reports, documentaries, goverment and films are all waving the red flag on Global Warming that has already taken effect on the world. Bad news is good news, people are worried when the effects and stress of the world are made known to us. But, for how long and how much does it affect us?

Because no one seems to be doing anything about it. Big corporate companies are still fueling their huge machines in factories, communities are still littering in the ocean, while the hard work of those who try to clean the ocean is overwhelmed by the majority who pollute the waters. Forests are still being cleared for wood and more land, while wild life are dying. The food chain of the world is imbalanced, and we are finding more dead never discovered animals deep down in the once too cold oceans to uncover.

While factories are polluting the air, the big corporate company is drowning in cash, as their profits increases from their name, product and “services”. While forests are being cleared, landslides and wild life growing extinct, the big corporate companies are making more money from selling the land, building more houses and apartments, profiting from the dying world.

But has anyone stopped to think? The fact the world is deplicting of oxygen, deplicting of land, deplicting of oil, deplicting in heatlh, that even having a mountain of thousand dollar bills as high as the Everest is not going to be of any good, besides a useful tool for wiping the bottoms of humans when money no longer matters. The damages that have occurred to the world, is something money can never buy, and neither is life. If humans think that they are capable of being great and doing amazing things, because we are meant to be the smartest of all living creatures, then replace the forest and trees that have survived through the world wars but have been cut down, replace the oil that is in the core of the Earth that have become oil only through the centuries it has been there. Bring back the lifes of those who died in the tsunami, and revive already extinct creatures who became extinct only because of human ignorance.

If money if really more important than the world, then buy back a perfect world that it was once. The fact that humans are so selfish, self-centred and uncourteous, watching out only for themselves and thier wellfare, equates to Earth today.

China creating fake inedible eggs to sell to their community, because it is cheaper than the real thing? Running a little girl over in 3 different vehicles, with nearly twenty people walking by, letting her bleed and die? Government of developing countries forgetting about it’s people, and decide to corrupt just so they can own the latest, most luxurious Mercedez on the market, for now?

Does anyone see the horrible state this Earth has become? Or does everyone honestly think that we will all be moving to Mars to survive? Does everyone honestly think that ‘everyone’ is going to bother if ‘you’ or your family makes it to Mars? Does everyone honestly think that Mars will be like Earth?

Have everyone forgotten that IF humans move to Mars, we would be back in the barbaric, uncivilized age? There will not be internet, no computers, no cars, no buildings, no nice apartments, nothing you see around you will be on Mars. And even if one day Mars “could” be like Earth, you will not live long enough to see it.

Think again, how long more do we really have before this world gives up on the people living on it. Ice bergs in the Artic and Antartic are already melting more than you would ever imagine. Water level is rising, and the heat that is stuck on Earth, unable to leave the ozone layer around the world, serves as rising temperature like a chicken in a mircrowave. But if you have given up on the the world, because you are too selfish to care about other people. Then move to Mars yourself. Because those who do still care, are doing everything they can in trying to prolong the effects of what the world will become, for the sake of their love ones, who would still be around after their death.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is finally due to begin his 3-month jail sentence in Las Vegas after being found guilty of domestic violence charges laid against him by ex-girlfriend.

Time of liberty and free movement for well known boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will soon end as he is due to begin a three-month jail sentence in Las Vegas. Offences landing him there include hair-pulling and arm twisting of the mother of his three children in September 2010.

Mayweather Jr. was sentenced on December 22 for his guilty plea to reduced charges in domestic battery case.

The 35 year-old boxer was initially due to begin his 3 month jail term on the 6th of January but was allowed sometime by Saragosa at the last minute to move out free until he had fought Miguel Cotto which was scheduled for May 5 in Las Vegas. Nicknamed ‘Money’ the fighter won the bout plus a guaranteed $32 million while Cotto had $8million.

According to Police officials, Mayweather Jr. will be separated from the other 3,200 inmates for at least a week. He will also be allowed to get an hour of exercise daily outside his cell.

Mayweather had threatened and hit ex-girlfriend Josie Harris in the presence of their two sons who are 10 and 8 years old at the time. The older boy upon hearing the threatening words of the father ran out through the back door and got a security guard in the gated community.

The judge accepted the plea deal that avoided trial on felony and misdemeanor charges that could have gotten Mayweather 34 years in state prison if he had been convicted on all counts.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s pending jail term will be capped 87 days out of which he has served 3.

Mayweather has in addition to the jail sentence been ordered to complete a 1 year duration course on domestic violence counseling program, engage in 100hours of community service and pay a fine of $2,500.

To the outside world Sweden may seem to have one of the best systems in the world when it comes to financial and social security. But what is it like for those who live right in the middle of this system? Is the safety as great as politicians claim when one loses their job, get sick, or are poor from the start? Let's take a look at what it really is to live in Sweden when things get though.

I read in a Swedish paper just today that the Swedish government decided back in 200 on a 0 tolerance against evicting children, no child should have to end up homeless. It looks like the message didn’t get through to the communities around the country, and the social services seem to never heard a word of it either.

There are many families that have been hit by the finacial crisis and unemployment in Sweden too, but when asking for help the answer is very often “no”, and have so been for many, many years. I know of several families that when finally contacting the social services to ask for help, the answer was, “Sorry but we can’t help you out” – and then they were told that if they couldn’t pay their rent and were evicted their children would be places in foster care. Do these people who work at the social services truly believe that these families will get more money by that response? Some of these families get through it with the help of relatives who offer a place to sleep or can help out financially for a short while, but many actually end up homeless and the children being placed in foster care.

I have one friend who had worked in the same place since he left school, and then the company was sold to a big corporation and moved to a low-cost country around the world. The wife worked at the same company, and lost her job too, and suddenly they stood there with a house that no one wanted to buy and no income to pay their bills. Last I heard they lived in the in-laws vacation home with their kids, and was looking for work in Norway. I hope they got to move there.

Another family, former neighbours, had to leave in a hurry when they almost lost their children to foster care because of an argument with the landlord that landed them on the street over a weekend. They lived in a trailer over the summer, the husband worked in construction in another town, and was able to find a new home in another town when fall came, with some help from relatives.

So where is the help when ordinary people needs it? Truth is, in most cases there is no help to get. If you get laid off and can’t pay your bills, it’s your own fault. If you leave a bad relationship, or even if you ask for help to get out, you put yourself there so live with it. No matter what the circumstances, it’s your own problem and the authorities won’t lift a finger to follow the law that say you have the right to that help. Why? Because the law is so open to interpretation that any given social worker in any community can say that they follow the law and do absolutely nothing to help the individuals who need help.

So is Sweden the land of social and financial security the politicians claim it to be? If you are a highly paid white-collor worker it probably can be, but if you’re a poor single mom, a laid off factory worker, long-term ill or low-income family, I’m pretty sure they would say it’s just fancy words without any meaning behind them.

This is an article I wrote for an essay and it is about how items can go scarce and affect people greatly. In this particular instance I am talking about money in the U.S.

1. This article is talking about how we the general public have many wants and desires but we tend to run into points where resources are limited/ scarce. When people have to feed off of others it tends to take down the person getting feed off of because they aren’t getting enough income to pay for multiple people that just sit around hoping some job will pop out in front of them. This is why America has accumulated all this debt through having to give things free to people who either choose to not work or are physically unable to work. While the people that are physically unable have a reason for not work the people who choose to not work need to get up and find a job. This is all shown through the growing amount of Americans on the food stamp program which is currently at 45.8 million and growing every day. He speaks of his grandfather and how he used to feed raccoons food and the animals became so unfit they were unable to support themselves. That kind of sounds like what the U.S. government is doing for the people who are unemployed they are just feeding them and not expecting anything in return. Soon when the U.S. no longer has these programs these will be the people out on the streets because they have no clue how to support themselves. This is causing generations to come having the thought in their head I don’t have to support myself the government will help me out with whatever I need. But while it is putting that into those kids heads its putting the thought into the middle class kids saying “why work if the government is going to tax me so badly to help out the people who aren’t contributing to society.” He speaks of a young looter in England who says “We heard that other people were getting things for free, so why not us?” this is showing how our country gives too much to people who sit and don’t do anything. I see this as America’s death trap due to the attitude being passed down from generation to generation.

2. This article is very news worthy because it is showing how America began to build up their debt and how people who are able to work should and shouldn’t live off the government. Everybody should be extremely concerned because this spiral of living off the government could cause America to just fail due to all the accumulated debt to China and other countries. I really believe this should be the focus in the upcoming election finding a way to differ between the people who need this additional help and the people who take advantage of the system. I am not saying this program isn’t good I am saying it needs to help the people that have to have it and doesn’t need to help people who don’t work because they see that the government will just hand them a paycheck for doing nothing at all.

3. I believe it should be heavily addressed in the upcoming election on how if we only help the people who need it. We would see a great decrease in U.S. spending on this program and how it might just kick the people who were using it as a free paycheck into actually working for once. This might just be the way to turn America’s debt from growing to actually decreasing for once. So I believe we should definitely address this as a main idea of how to reverse the debt in a way.

4. If action is taken we may be able to help decrease the debt while still helping the people who actually need it. In the long run this can help us to work through our countries needs and wants and how they can save us money if we just use the systems for the people with the needs. Now if no action is taken it will just keep the spiral going from generation to generation leaving kids with the thought I don’t want to work so I’ll just live off the government like my parents did. I mean because if they don’t have to work for the paycheck they need why would they? It’s like if you offer a kid a candy bar if they run 20 laps and then you offer another kid a candy bar and they don’t have to do anything for it. So it needs immediate action to stop this spiral from going on and on.

5. This is a big concern in my eyes and to me I feel like the system needs to be for the needy and not for the people who are essentially the laziness of America. I know that many of the current runners for president are working to figure out how to help this program out. I hope they can figure out a way to fix the program so it is a positive influence to the general American public.

6. This is crucial for me as I have a cousin is on the program but she is currently going to college so she can get a job to be able to pay for her son and her lifestyle. So I see her as a person that is actually in need of the program because she isn’t using having a son as a reason not to go to school or get a job. In fact even with her going to school she still works at a restaurant to try and help pay for everyday needs and some wants. I have never had to be on any government programs and my parents haven’t had that problem either.

I wanted to share this with my Triond friends, for it is sacred to me :)

I feel the need to be a little more active here on Triond, because even in my personal projects you guys are always there to give me good feedback and support. (Check out my personal blog here: http://www.jameswadmanblog.com/) I wanted to describe my first novel in terms of my pursuit of inspiration, so here it is! I welcome all comments and feedback as always. You can also follow me on twitter (@UsefulSoul), because I just started and I am a little alone!

There are two seeds from which my first novel grew, both of which came to me in my dreams. I saw death in a dream, and I wondered of the neurobiological implications of near-death experiences on the perception of time and space. This became a simple question: can time collapse in the moments before death? As I tried to answer this question, my mind was consumed by a beautiful concept of human potential. Before me was a story, infinitely interwoven with the empowerment of dreams and human emotion—the perfect recipe for my first novel. Wordless pages followed for months. I left this story as only a thought in my mind, exploring the scientific concepts that would nurture the realism in my fictional work. Science was the reason I was able to invent a story in creative space.

My second dream was less sophisticated but, in a way, monumentally more appealing. I can’t remember what I saw (perhaps a flower or a tree, maybe even a patch of grass), but I was instantly drawn closer. It was as if nothing in the world mattered as long as this hypnotic gradient of green shades, glittering in pale yellow sunlight. It was in that moment that I knew that this idea I was entertaining for months was something I must write down, something I must share. I awoke from this dream, for the first time really considering myself to be a writer. I had the obligation of sharing what I had seen. So as the science settled in my mind, I stepped back to write something more beautiful that only the magic of the human mind could bear.

Does it put people's drinking out of control?

Its not because of the quality. Cheap alcohol means people can get drunk for a tenner in some parts of the UK. I decided to write an article after reading a report about young people in Newcastle about young people getting so drunk that some of them ended up being taken to hospital.

One of the reasons they were drinking so much is because drinks were so cheap. Here is a couple of examples: A bar was offering two cocktail jugs for just £10, and one club was offering a triple shot of vodka and vimto for just £2.50.

I’m not saying the price of alcohol is completely to blame but it certainly doesn’t help the problem when for £20 you could get completely wrecked.

I asked people if the prices of alcohol would help the problem and this is what they said:

“ Sensible drinkers shouldn’t be penalized by having to pay more for alcohol just because some idiots choose to drink far more than is necessary or safe. Leave alcohol prices as they are.”

“ They raised the price of cigarettes to a very high price but people still smoke. If the price of alcohol is raised people will still do it. Maybe the better way would be to raise the price of certain alcoholic drinks that people use to binge drink, like all those nasty cheap white ciders that you see for sale in corner shops that are 5 litres for £3.00 etc. that is just ridiculous.”

“ The grand experiment in the USA in the 1930’s showed what happens when alcohol becomes scarce. Organized crime made millions and gang warfare broke out over supplying cheap alcohol to the consumer.

Raise the price and you make it unavailable to people of a certain income. Some entrapenuer will step in and start selling it on the black market at prices affordable to all. Soon gangs form and fight over distribution of the alcohol.

The second problem is people start making their own alcohol, and if not done right, can cause blindness and central nervous system problems.

It is better to have a clean product available without the gang warfare.”

The good news is that there are many things that you can do in order to raise money, and you don’t have to be working on them every day of the week, either.

Sponsored events are one of the most popular things that you can do to raise money at the moment, and this is something that really doesn’t need to take up a lot of your time. Last year, I did a sponsored slim and raised £400. I was able to do this as well as my degree, because it wasn’t much extra effort to just stop eating junk and do a little bit of exercise, and stop eating the amount of junk food that I may have done in the past. You can gather sponsors from people in your spare time, on social networking websites, via your friends and family: anything providing that you get the money at the end of the day. Other ideas are sponsored jogs, skips, swims, eats, anything that you think people would be willing to pay you to do.

If you use the popular online auction website eBay, you can actually donate a small amount of money every time that you buy anything on there. You can set your account to do this automatically, and this means that you don’t even have to think about it, but an extra £1 will go to them every time you choose to buy something. This is a briliant way to raise money, because it doesn’t take any effort or thought, yet can donate a fair amount in the long term. You could also encourage your family and friends to set this as their charity as well if they don’t have one, and this means that you would be able to raise even more money for the charity that you had in mind.

If you have a spare few hours at the weekends, then a lot of supermarkets are happy for you to do a collection at their doors with a bucket. This means that the shopppers who pass by will have the option to put a small amount of change into your bucket, and you would be surprised if you saw just how much money you can actually get during the course o the average day. Some places also let you put buckets on the side of the tills, and this is a great place to be able to put them as it means that you are able to get the attention of people who have just received their change from the till attendant. Whichever of these options you decide to take, it is important to remember that there are many things that you can do in order to earn some money for charity, and not all of them have to take up a lot of time or effort either.

This is a section in my upcoming book "The Fundamentals of Joy", more will follow if it is desired.

This is the most impactful chapter in regards of finding and living with more joy in your life, looking at how very special you are, seeing your uniqueness and how essential your role is in the world, and understanding how you are irreplaceable, your perspective is priceless. What you have to offer to the world is highly valued by others, and no one but you can offer whatever it is that comes directly from you and your unique perspective, discovering what it is that only you can offer is what we will explore in living out your passion. It is an exploration of what it is that you truly have a passion for doing, what it is that you do for the pure pleasure of doing, and what you can see yourself doing and actually making a very good living at while doing it.

Do you know anyone who is actually living out their dreams? Perhaps they seem to be having everything going their way, effortlessly, naturally, whatever they touch turns to gold, a perfect spouse, a perfect house, and far more money than you currently have in your life. If you could look at them closely you would see that they are living out their passion, they have discovered something of value that they can offer the world, and the easy flow of their success shows that they have found their downstream flow to success, they don’t have to struggle upstream to make their success happen. This is not to say that they don’t have to work for what they have, it is saying that whatever work they are doing is something that they have a passion for doing, work and play are one.
