Mother Lindsay Sandiford is either a tragic hero or a terribly foolish and bad parent. Either she was prepared to put her own life on the line to save her sons' or she has been caught foolishly trying to bail her children out – and at their age they should know better. So should she for that matter.

The mother who faces the death penalty for cocaine smuggling is claiming she did it to save her sons’ lives.

Lindsay Sandiford said she had no choice but to board a plane to Bali with £1.6million worth of cocaine stuffed into the lining of her suitcase, otherwise her two sons would have been killed.

If the 56-year-old is telling the truth then this is a truly tragic story, especially if she is put to death for her crime.

It does obviously raise the question of how far a parent is prepared to go to protect their children.

Personally I would do anything to save my daughter’s life. There would be no limits and if it had to be cocaine smuggling then cocaine smuggling it would have to be. Load me up and off I go.

I’m sure many parents would do the same. Obviously you would have to have got caught up in that kind of criminal world in the first place.

Returning to Ms Sandiford – if she is telling the truth then she deserves a whole lot of sympathy and steps must be taken to spare her life.

If however, she is lying and in actual fact her sons had got caught up in the underground world of drugs and she was simply saving their skins, then that is a completely different thing.

These sons are both in their early 20s so in theory are responsible adults. It is not for their mum to have to bail them out and really her sons should not be expecting her too. It is terribly difficult for a mum to stand back and watch her children get into trouble but really as a parent she must be showing her children, no matter what their age, that they must pay the consequences.

In this case she should never have got on that plane in the first place. Not only that, but if this second option is true, she has told a terrible lie to police, that she only did it to save her sons lives, and so in my eyes this actually increases her crime ten fold.

Any parent who would try and get herself off the hook by lying about her children’s welfare to such a serious degree is no real parent at all.

Hopefully the truth will out, but which ever of the two option turns out to be true will radically alter how I perceive this woman.

When a mother provoked to anger by children behavior.

There are times in motherhood when you couldn’t simply ignore your children attempts of testing your patient. I felt them and I fell into them many times. Being angry is not wrong and part of human traits. A mother too is allowed to be angry. Society become so judgmental when it comes to an angry mother that caused an accident to the children but closing eye to what’s behind. I know that angry mother could be dangerous to the children at the point of hitting, pinching, etc. and that’s why I decided from the first time I got angry with my little one I will simply left him on the safe place and stay away from him. God knows what will happen if I stayed close to them while I tend to burst out. I will get a magazine, do chores or have a scoop of ice cream to cool down. When I’m ready to see him again I will come out. This may seemed cruel for some people but if you were only alone with your little one, it’s the safest way. We could not and should not demand a mother to be a fairy god mother all the time. What’s should be included in the thoughts is the safety of both party. So when a mother is angry (which is bound to happens once in a while) I will definitely suggest this. Put your children somewhere safe (i.e. in the room) and get away. Find other way to defuse the anger before you get back. For me, treating myself with my favorite food or doing chores usually help to reduce anger to the point of smiling back at the culprit and say a prayer, “God forgive me for being angry, but I’m human and You should know better what I’m capable and what I am not. Thank you for keeping my child safe. Amen.” For other women (or men) it could be something else such as gardening, taking hot shower or shopping. Just don’t forget to make up with your children when you get back. But if you feel that you are unable to deal with it on your own, seek help. It will be best for you and the rest of the family.

Oh sure he loves me

He says it

He shows it

but does he love me? or does he love this little child that never left his cradle?

Sure he tells me to be a Man, but apparently a Man isn’t what I thought it was

Apparently a man is someone who is a robot

Apparently a man is just Mr. Perfect who doesn’t have anything wrong with him.

A man is somehow just a guy that does not pick his own bedtime. his daddy picks it for him.

Sure he says he loves me, but he sure as hell doesn’t respect me….

Granted I am a teenanger, I am not an adult, but I’m not a kid either.

Sure he can say

” please, come set the table”

and I would say Yes

” please, take out the garbage”

and I would say Yes

” please, come and eat dinner”

and I would say Yes

but no its all

” Get to the table”

” take out the garbage”

” COME DOWN, and EAT DINNER!”

its as if the word please doesen’t exist to him

He says that I should be grateful.. and I should

He says that I should feel happy.. and I should

but he is making that very difficult

I don’t want my Father’s love, I want my Father’s respect

The one thought that scares me, is that one day I could grow up to be just like him….

Maybe I shouldn’t have children.

This article expresses my emotions and memories while watching the move "Imagine." John Lennon was truly a gifted musical genius.

I just watched the movie about John Lennon titled ‘Imagine.’ The movie was poignant in many regards, but the portions of the movie that moved me most was the death of his mother, the Beatle’s first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show and the death of John Lennon.

John Lennon was sixteen years old when his mom died. The songs John Lennon sang after the death of his mother were very sad and poignant. Those songs brought out a lot of bitterness John Lennon felt deep inside. One of those songs was titled ‘Mother.’

The first appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show moved me because I remember watching that show. I remember watching a news video of the Beatles being questioned by reporters at the airport before they performed on the Ed Sullivan show.

I loved the Beatle songs. I still have a music book containing all of the Beatle songs and use to play some of them on my recorder. One might say I grew up listening to the Beatles. I guess I will always be fond of the Beatle’s songs.

The most moving part of the movie ‘Imagine’ was the senseless death of John Lennon. That was a very sad day for many people.

Watching John Lennon’s senseless death in this movie brought out all the emotions and frustrations I harbor. It brought to mind all the crazy senseless hatred that exists in the world today. In current politics, it reminded me of the acts of the Tea Party.

These are the frustrations and emotions that the movie ‘Imagine’ invoked. John Lennon’s songs were always about himself and his experiences. In a sense, his music matured long before he did.

John Lennon spoke through his music. His music expressed his opposition to the Vietnam war in his song ‘Give Peace a Chance.’ His music expressed his unconditional love for his wife Yoko in his songs ’Starting Over’ and ‘Woman.’ He expressed his love for his children in his songs ‘Beautiful Boys’ and Beautiful Boy.’ His music expressed a kind of utopia particularly in the song ‘Imagine.’ It expressed his withdrawing from the musical world in his song ‘Watching the Wheels.’

The most appropriate way to end this article is with a link to the official web site of John Lennon. This list was not created by me and I am not affiliated with this web site.

Sunshine’s by name;

Sunshine by nature;

How true is this??

Well not always but I will not be sharing any of my darkest secrets on here-ha ha ha -

It was a week yesterday that I decided to find out more about about The Cherokees.

Ever since I have become totally engorossed in their lives, beliefs ,faith and lifestyles. So for today I am going to be Sunshine Ray.

Lone Wolf

ever since

I have

been with child

this canine wonder

has never

ever

left my side .

He loves

my beloved man

Silver Creek

with

every breath

of his

canine being

and has become

my protector

for

every moment

when my beloved man is

not around.

I pat the green ground

by my side

and

Lone Wolf

without

hesitation

walks

or

almost

glides

to my side

in a floating motion.

His wise head

resting

on my knees

and those

deep seeing

eyes

almost lock

with mine.

Their untold message

so clear:-

‘I am your protector’

‘I am your saviour’

‘Yours and Silver Creek’s babe

I will protect forevermore.’

‘Never worry as l am by your side’

We sat together as one

watching

absorbing

and

allowing

our minds

to be inspired

by

each beauty

enfolding

and

carressing

each view

locked in our

hrearts

and

spirits

forevermore.

I tenderly rub my

swollen form

in which lay our

precious new life; a life

brought forth

by

the most loving connection

there could be.

Oh Silver Creek

we are so as one. Our hearts

spirits

and

souls united

with Earth Mother’s

loving grace

and her

blessings.

Oh Gods

of the

mountains

dales

valleys

and

rivers

unite in harmony

each breath

we take

and

each word

we speak.

Source: wikimedia.comSunshine Ray.

I sit high

on top of the mountain;

I sit leaning back to allow

the spring breeze

to blow through

my long dark

glossy locks.

How I allow

inspiring values

to enter my being and into the depth of my spirit.

Far down below

almost like small

insects

I see a hive of daily activity.

Our stallion

‘Morning Mist’

the leader

of our horses

is kicking

and

frollicking

in frenzied excitement

to his

heart’s content.

Next I can

quite clearly

make out

Crimson Red

with her

little group of children

her pupils

so eager to

learn

Distance hinders

but my

mind’s keen eye

tells me so much.

She tells me

all about

of little faces

eager

hungry to learn

in awe

wondering

and loving

each step

and

each day

of

Crimson Red’s

teachings.

They sit in full circle

young spirits entwined

so new

so fresh.

They absorb

each lesson

like a flower

to sunshine.

They wave their hands

in tune to her lead

like flower fairies ;

free flowing

brimming over

with

love and joy.

Beside me there is a rustling

from the

midst of the

yellow laden gorse.

In my mind

I knew

before

this rustle

became vision

that it was

Lone Wolf.

I

Source: wikimedia.com

I have already felt

the very first stirring

of life

from my womb.

Likened to the

the

soft flutterings

of a

butterfly;

of being at one

with Earth Mother.

I look far

down below me

with an inner pride

and

love

that was new

and so wholesome.

I coud

see the

beginning of a brook

which ran into

the silver thread

of

the river.

At the end

of the journey

many rivers

came together

and ran as many estuaries into the sea.

These

estuaries

I liken to our lives .

Which one

we take

is our desicion.

Source: wikimedia.comTHE RIVERS OF LIFE.

.

A splutter and a gurgle

From deep inside the earth

Is a flowing indication

Of a shimmering new birth.

Leisurely she’ll flow along

Over the earth and its charms

Bringing peace, love and solitude

Like a new babe in mother’s arms.

Over obstacles she’ll meander

Until she conquers her fight,

Compare we this to childhood

As we learn wrong from right.

Wearily she’ll flow along

Into estuaries she’ll divide,

These are the rivers of life

Which one? Is ours to decide.

Source: flcikr.comMy Journey.

I have a journey to travel beofre the birth of our little one.

To clear the slightly overgrown pathways to my heart and soul.

A pure and sure heart our baby will be nourished from;his very first look into my eyes will show me as a strong person with inner pathways cleared.

Silver Cross and my spirit entwined; fitting so well ;each contour;

fitting with ease.

My heart misses a beat as I see my man ;far down below me gathering together his horses;horses that had been injured or were ill;but had now recovered due to his gentle care;the care of a loving and tender hreart.

Lone Wolf also looked down and with bright eyes and wagging tail.

He understood;as he had that deep set gift given to him by our Earth Mother,of spiritual understanding.

A knowing which ran almost as if on an invisible silver thread from his soul to yours Earth Mother; a gift which will last while he is on this earth.

I know that I have this journey to travel but I am not alarmed or worried,I have a deep set trust and understanding inyou my Earth Mother . I accept my journey and I know that I will emerge a better person.

A cleansing of my deepest spirit; in order to be a true mother in all ways.

My Journey.

Oh Earth Mother

I trust you so;

Wherever I am

Wherever I go.

I see you in each sunrise

I see you in each life;

In Lone Wolf’s cries

Your prescence is rife.

I will follow you

As I travel along;

I trust you too

So sweet your song.

I will be cleansed

I will be wholesome.

I will be blessed.

I accept the outcome.

Earth Mother I do love

In Earth Mother I trust.

So like a white dove

This journey is a must.

Source: wikimedia.comSource: flciker.com

As Lone Wolf

and I

sit in

seren silence

those up till now

flutters

had blossomed

into a much stronger

kicking movement.

I look down

in deep wonder

and I see our baby

move as if in

an almost

slow motion;

Oh yes

‘Lone Wolf’

another

day has

begun..

The love of a mother is the truest love of all, Death only parts you physically love is perpetual.

I spoke to my mother today, but she neither heard me, nor replied. I told her how much I loved her, missed her by my side. But, still she remained silent, unmoved, and oh so cold, as I opened up my heart to her, as if I were still a child. My head bent down in sorrow, my voice seemed warped and cracked, as I told of my adoration to the earth so hard and cracked.

The rain began to pour down, disguising the tears I shed. I asked the Good Lord silently.” why oh why Lord was it mum?” But, I guess he was busy in heaven where all the good guys go, so I’m hoping he’s with my mother, and I pray he’ll let her know, just how very much I miss her, and I send her lots of love. And, to tell her If I am a good girl I’ll see her up above!

What a day to show your special mother just what she means to you.

What a wonderful day to celebrate some lady that is very special in your life. and to show them how much you love them. Giving them a hug and telling them how much you love that person is enough, but go farther and take them out for a lunch.

Think about how much they have done for you and without being asked. They went to all your baseball games, dance recitals, Christmas programs, and field trips that you asked her to go. All you had to do was smile that special smile of your and say please in that voice you have that could melt butter.

All the worrying that she did after you started your first day at school such as was the other children go to pick on her special little man/woman and as you grew, would worry more without being asked or she would never tell anyone about her worries about her special little person.

Today, is a day to show how much you should have said thank you in the past for things that happened and for all the things that she did without being asked. All those treats she supplied to the school didn’t come cheap and did you remember to say thank you mother.

Today, is the day to wrap your arms around her and say “Thank you for all the little and big things you did for me. Thank you mother!”

Do it before it is too late and you are whispering to a person gone out of your life. Watch for her special smile that only she has that can melt your heart and make you do whatever she wanted you to do.

An exploration and opinion of mothers day and similar holidays.

Is mother’s day just another holiday? No, it is made like valentines day and fathers day to respect a single individual. On days like this revenues spike because people feel inclined to spend money that is quite unnecessary! I spent some money but not on the general flowers and/or chocolate no this stuff is too common. I bought some spray paint and my mother was right there with me she didn’t know what I was gonna do with it. Anyhow I was able to get some graffiti work up on the back of our old shed (she knew I was doing that but was ignorant to the sentiment that was going to go into it) and I think it came out nice! This was my first big piece and I thought that only made it more special.

So the message here is be creative and really put thought into gifts don’t blow money it IS the thought that counts!
