Curare is a poison extracted from the bark of a particular climbing vine found in South America. It is black in color and very lethal. The hunters of the Amazon Basin used it to paralyze their prey and block simulation to their nerves resulting in a fatal death. Amazingly, this same poison can be used to save lives.
