Individuals of light skinned are automatically granted hierarchy on the social scene and competition for mates. The individuals that control the major factors of production, the corporate business leaders, politicians and the elites are predominantly descendants of European/Mulatto, East Indian or Asiatic descent. This situation has fostered the bleaching epidemic as darker skin women compete with their brown skin counterparts for jobs, opportunities and popularity among the masculine gender.
