Moving to a new city, state or even an area in your city will expose you to many new and unknown things. Checking the neighbourhood you will live in is not hard.

When looking to buy a house, the location of the house is very important. Most people want to buy a home in a decent neighborhood, as they have the intention to remain at their home for many years to come. If someone is planning to buy a home strictly for the resale value, then the location will prove to be even more important. The resale factor of a home is very dependant on the location, simply because someone wouldn’t want to buy a home that wasn’t in a decent neighborhood.

Relationships are all about give and take, and it is no different when it comes to your relationships with your neighbors. Even though it might seem as though it is unimportant to establish a relationship with your neighbors, these relationships can be beneficial to you in a number of different ways. After all, there will be plenty of unexpected instances when you need someone to keep an eye on your house, or when you need help with a problem or emergency.

I presently am vice president for a heritage society (The Port Moody Heritage Society, Port Moody, BC) and have volunteered for it for the past 10 years.
