Good Heavens! Oldest-Known Astrologer’s Board Discovered

A research team has discovered what may be the oldest astrologer’s board, engraved with zodiac signs and used to determine a person’s horoscope. Dating back more than 2,000 years, the board was discovered in Croatia, in a cave overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The surviving portion of the board consists of 30 ivory fragments engraved with signs of the zodiac. Researchers spent years digging them up and putting them back together. Inscribed in a Greco-Roman style, they include images of Cancer, Gemini and Pisces. The board fragments were discovered next to a phallic-shaped stalagmite amid thousands of pieces of ancient Hellenistic (Greek style) drinking vessels.  An ancient astrologer, trying to determine a person’s horoscope,could have used the board to show the position of the planets, sun and moon at the time the person was born.

DT Rebuttal:  This type of “secret /wake up call” news is a prelude of things to come when the upcoming new Dragon in Scorpio will reigh upon the world…Rest assured UFO are next and by the way the word “trying” reflects the ignorance of Owen Jarus assuming those wise men were not fully Cosmic Conscious.  Another  Astrological discovery in Israel date of  the third or south century AD.

DT Rebuttal: Like NASA, current Astronomers and Astrophysicists alike sees the stars as dead rocks only but without Cosmic Consciousness I do not expect them to make much good for humanity from this incredible discovery. Yes Christopher Columbus discovered an America and like NASA educationists they are constantly discovery new planets that have been there for ever… Gee do I need seven years in college to come to this conclusion? All the while, young soul scientists are wasting precious financial resources because they can not or have not been taught how to enter the archetypal realm of consciousness or see the stars and signs as God divine manifestation. Time for me to  educate our infantile science outside of the  ”educated” accredited box they are all stuck in…  In fact  do you think Jones and StašoForenbaher or the elites of the journal for the History of Astronomy will ever acknowledge that Astronomy is a byproduct of a much older “pseudo-science” called Astrology?  Gee those who are perceived as the experts are the least to know about a subject they can only see with their five limited human senses and inferior  UCI or “Unique Celestial Identity” 

A ‘King Tut experience’

Continued:  In 1999, the team was digging near the entrance of the Croatian cave, a site well known to archaeologists and people at the nearby hamlet of Nakovana who simply called it “Spila,” which means “the cave,” Forenbaher told LiveScience. But what nobody knew at the time was that the cave had a section that had been sealed off more than 2,000 years ago. Forenbaher’s girlfriend (now his wife) burrowed through the debris, discovering a wide low passageway that continued in the dark for nearly 33 feet (10 meters). Forenbaher described going through the passageway as “the unique King Tut experience, coming to a place where nobody has been for a couple of thousand years.” Stepping into the cavern “there was a very thin limestone crust on the surface that was cracking under your feet when you went in, which meant that nobody walked there in a very, very, long time,” Forenbaher said.

The team would later determine that it had been sealed off in the first century B.C., possibly in response to a military campaign waged against the local people by the Romans. When the archaeologists investigated they found the phallic-shaped stalagmite, numerous drinking vessels that had been deposited over hundreds of years, and something else. “In the course of that excavation these very tiny bits and pieces of ivory came up,” said Forenbaher, “we didn’t even realize what we had at the time.” The team went to work. “What followed was years of putting them together, finding more bits and pieces, and figuring out what they were,” Forenbaher said. In the end they found themselves staring at the remains of the oldest-known astrologer’s board.

DT Rebuttal:  Knowing scientists have no clue of what Astrological symbols looks like it took them years to make sense of something that would have taken a real astrologer only a few minutes. Most of all, because Astronomy and Astrology have been at war for supremacy (like any religion) chances are  many secretive debates must have taken place before announcing the truth and age about Astrology that predefined Astronomy for many century. Regardless of their PhD’st the new kids on the block could never realize the importance of such discovery and the impact it will make on the Mother of all science or Astrology acceptance by the general public.. I can’t wait to reach the media and explain a few things to an unconscious humanity. 

How did the board wind up in the cave?

Continued:  Archaeologists are not certain how the board came to the cave or where it was originally made. Astrology originated in Babylon far back in antiquity, with the Babylonians developing their own form of horoscopes around 2,400 years ago. Then around 2,100 years ago, astrology spread to the eastern Mediterranean, becoming popular in Egypt, which at the time was under the control of a dynasty of Greek kings. ”It gets modified very much into what we think of as the Greek style of astrology, which is essentially the modern style of astrology,” Jones said. “The Greek style is the foundation of astrology that goes through the Middle Ages and into modern Europe, modern India (and) so on.”

DT Rebuttal:  Yes indeed all disappeared civilizations knew and used the stars and all had a direct “connection” with extraterrestrials but early Illuminati (church Inc.) worked overtime to “modify” the science by replacing Jesus’ Ministry or the voice of  ”Our  Father in the Heavens” into man made religious doctrines that plagues the world nowadays. Doing so the old science turned into a fiasco of religious denominations (875 of them) and a myriad of horoscopes / psychic deceptive Neptunian endeavors handled by people like Mr.s Cleo or Silvia Browne  who are only concerned on its financial aspect and have nothing legit to offer society. The wave of deception blinded humanity to its direct relationship with God’s divinity and our solar system. there is no wonder why, with so much ignorance by infringing the Cosmic Code daily  this world became lost, cahotic  and dangerous…Ain’t you glad I am here reader to help you make sense to the divine?  I wish I had some serious help to accelerate the process of freeing humanity form fears and ignorance…

Continued: Radiocarbon dating shows that the ivory used to create the zodiac images dates back around 2,200 years ago, shortly before the appearance of this new form of astrology. Researchers are not certain where the board was made although Egypt is a possibility. The ivory itself likely came from an elephant that was killed or otherwise died around that time, they suspect. Being a valuable item, the ivory would have been stored for several decades, or even a century, before it was used to construct the zodiac. These signs would then have been attached to a flat (possibly wooden) surface to create the board, which may have included other elements that didn’t survive. At some point it may have been put on a ship heading through the Adriatic Sea, an important route for commerce that the cave overlooks. The people who lived in Croatia at the time were called Illyrians. Although ancient writers tended to have a low opinion of them, archaeological evidence suggests that they interacted with nearby Greek colonies and were very much a part of the Mediterranean world. 

DT Rebuttal: In the absence of pen and paper Ivory was the next best material they had but because there are no more or they did not find relics stolen by early Christians stuck in the miles of  the Vatican secret library does not mean there are not there. Remember early Plutonic, greedy controlling  Illuminati are NOT interested in giving you such a rare wisdom that could compete with the power they currently exerts on the world at large.

A consultation held in the flickering light of the cavern would have been a powerful experience, although perhaps not very convenient for the astrologer. ”It doesn’t sound like a very practical place for doing the homework for the horoscope like calculating planetary positions,” Jones said. A SAD STORY

Christopher Sullivan, 22, has a Purple Heart for wounds sustained during a suicide bombing attack in Afghanistan a year ago. Today he lies paralyzed after being shot Friday at a party in his honor in California.

This type of anticipated shocking news really upset me when a thug, a gang member high on drugs tried to kill an honorable veteran who risked his own life in Afghanistan to allow this low life  to continue his criminal activity. Imagine the task I have in hand readers when confrontation takes place in the name of religions or sports in this case? This type of moronic interest and judgment shows how seriously depleted the human spirit became.

But what scares me even more 99.09% of the population reflects the “norm” of what America and the world is made up, are you feeling safe readers? Most of the ruckus centers around the Mayan Long Calendar used in pre- Columbian Mesoamerica. The essentials of the calendar are based upon a system which had been in common use throughout the region, dating back to at least the 5th century BCE. The Mayan were highly skilled astronomers who kept meticulous records of the night sky. They documented the phases of the moon, recorded eclipses and even tracked the movement of Venus. In fact, the Venus cycle was an important calendar for the Maya. Their records enabled them to predict future astronomical cycles with great accuracy. The problem facing those who worry about such things is that their long calendar appears to end on December 21, 2012. To make matters worse, there are those who claim that the predictions of Nostradamus agree with the Mayans!

So where does that leave us today? First of all we have to remember that even if what the doomsayers say is true, prophecy doesn’t make it so. Although I don’t claim to be a Nostradamus, I think the world will continue on much as it has. I’m sure there will be problems, perhaps even greater than any we have faced before, but there will also be good things happening. How we handle these will be our choice and has not been determined by some ancient seer.

Some will ask what does the year 2012 hold for me personally? Will a psychic be able to help me? The fact is that no matter what anyone tells us, we alone create our future. It is not what happens to us, but what we do about it that really matters. If we start each day with that realization and decide to send out thoughts of forgiveness, good-will and joy, these will return to us in good measure, and nothing that happens in 2012 or later, will be able to harm us.

The world is changing, of that there is no doubt, and perhaps more rapidly than we ever imagined possible. Global temperatures are rising, glaciers are collapsing, ice-caps are melting and sea levels are rising. Extreme weather and seismic events seem to be on the increase. Scientists the world over are trying to fathom what this means for us all, and just how quickly and significantly we can expect these changes to affect our planet.

Amongst many predictions of the end of the world, one of the most popular of our day is that supposedly foretold by the Mayans, a civilisation that existed in Central America from approximately 2600 BCE (Before the Christian Era (traditionally BC)) to around 1450 CE (Current Era (traditionally AD)).

The basis for the belief of this prediction is the understanding that the current Mayan b’ak’tun, or ‘creation’ in the Long Count Calendar ends on a date equivalent in our current calendar to 20 December 2012, thus the date of 21 December 2012 is, in some spheres, being considered as the end of the world as we know it and the beginning of a new ‘creation’.

The Mayan Long Count Calendar, a calendar used not only by the Mayans but by other mesoamerican civilisations, is based on the Mayan belief that they were living in the ‘fourth world’ or ‘fourth creation’. It is generally accepted that the Mayans believed that their gods had created the world three times before, and each creation had failed. The ‘fourth world’ or ‘fourth creation’ was successful, and this is the world into which man was placed.

Contrary to what seems to be increasingly accepted as fact, there is no evidence that the Mayans believed that the end of this b’ak’tun would mean the end of the world. Rather, in the rare and few texts and inscriptions that remain from the height of the Mayan civilisation, notably the ‘Dresden Codex’ which details much of their study of astronomy, there is no ‘prediction’ as such at all.

It seems that our society’s love for mysticism and the unexplained has created this prediction themselves through mistranslation, media hype, linking the Mayan dates with other mythical predictions such as the supposed predictions of Nostradamus, themselves mistranslated, undated, generalised and so full of questions and symbolism as to leave them completely at the mercy of each and every reader’s individual interpretation.

Another link made, is to the arrival of Planet X or ‘Nibiru’, a hitherto unknown planet, that will affect the magnetic poles of Earth, causing catastrophic seismic upheaval, shifting of continents and unimaginable tsunamis as the Earth slows to a halt and begins spinning again in the other direction. Some may say ‘laughably’ the ‘Nibiru’ prediction comes from an individual who believes that she is ‘contacted’ by extra-terrestrials through an implant in her brain, and that she was told of ‘Nibiru’ by these extra-terrestrials. The originally predicted date of 2003 came and went, and the myth has now been picked up by 2012 doomsdayers and linked, completely unrelated, to the December 2012 date.

Planetary scientists and astronomers across the world say there is absolutely no evidence to support the prediction of ‘Nibiru’ at all.

As for the Mayans and the date of the end of their current b’ak’tun, who really knows, but it should be noted too that the Mayans made predictions for events occurring after this date also. The curator of Latin American Art and Archaeology at the Florida Museum of Natural History has said that there is no record or knowledge that the Mayans would think that the end of the world would come in 2012.

Sandra Noble of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Florida would seem to agree. She has said that for the Mayans, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a cycle, and to quote 21 December 2012 as doomsday is a complete fabrication, and simply a chance for lots of people to cash in on public willingness to accept predictions without any proof.

There is no proof, anywhere, that either the Mayans or Nostradamus have correctly identified the date or time of the end of the world. Regardless of this, the myth that they have, through the media, word of mouth, and our old friend the internet, has woven itself into the ‘belief’ of so many, and as the supposed date draws near, continues to put question marks into the lives of many new followers, day on day, from the masses that find it easy to believe without proof.

So, as we enter 2012, and the myth is perpetuated by those that ‘fear’ or ‘believe’ the so-called prophecies, an entire society is at risk of ‘believing’ that these unproven prophecies are going to come true. An entire society, on the basis of nothing more than ignorance and following other ‘believers’ begins to prepare for what they think are going to be the end times ahead.

Others, those that are perhaps unsure themselves quite what to believe, watch as these believers, one by one, begin to stockpile food, or bottled water. It may begin as a laughing ‘just in case’ measure, but more will follow. As the date draws closer still, still more begin to stockpile, ‘just in case’. And so, as the myth itself breeds, so does the fear and the ‘just in case’ attitude.

Imagine how you yourself feel about these predictions right at this very moment. Have you researched, or have you blindly believed what the media or your friends and family have told you? Perhaps you’re on the fence and a ‘just in caser’? You’re not alone.

So, more weeks and months go by, and so are born new believers in the prophecies and just as damaging, the just-in-casers. They stockpile, they induce question and possibly panic into others, and as the day itself draws near, so the panic becomes widespread. Fill that petrol tank ‘just in case’, get a months worth of food and water ‘just in case’.

Our fast moving world is not geared to provide for its people in such future terms, not even months into the future. Our shops and supermarkets are geared to support us on an ongoing daily basis, not to supply a society of the fearful and unsure who are buying a months worth of supplies at a time, just in case.

The shop shelves begin to empty, and cannot be replenished in time, and the news spreads. Yet more people panic and run to the shops, not because of the fear of the prophecy myth, but because they simply fear now that they themselves will not have any food because of the emptying shelves.

Small scale arguments over the last can of beans erupt quickly into life threatening confrontation when people start to wonder where the next one will come from. Riots and panic spread from such humble beginnings, and chaos ensues. Civil unrest, looting, roads gridlocked with people trying to reach shops, petrol stations, loved ones.

The civil authorities cannot cope as the panic buying and unrest spreads so quickly, even the army themselves, decimated from desertions of their own ranks worried for their futures, cannot control the outbreak of unrest and the rioting. Transport infrastructure fails as gridlocked roads prevent fuel and food stuffs reaching their destinations…..and the panic deepens amongst an entire society as it begins to buckle and reduce itself to an animalistic, survival approach.

Too outlandish I hear you cry? Just ask yourself please, what you believe right now, and what you’ll be doing in the weeks leading up to December 2012, and just what you would do faced with the possibility that your food cupboards may be empty by the end of the week, and you’re unable to buy more food, anywhere.

Please, do some research. Don’t dismiss me, or blindly believe what anyone else says with no proof? Use your heads, and THINK about what you believe before it’s too late, or, as the title of this piece suggests, poor old Nostradamus and the Mayans may well have unwittingly, through the ignorance of the masses, CREATED the end of the world as we know it.

Imagine if you will, that Nostradamus, as with many of today’s so-called mediums or psychics, played on that same need in human nature. People are not so very different today than they were in Nostradamus’s time after all.

It is largely believed by scholars the world over, that Nostradamus, in his collection ‘Les Propheties’ wrote quatrains, undated, unspecific, originally in a mix of French and Latin and some say disguised and coded into fanciful poetry, either to avoid being labelled a heretic, or perhaps more likely, to disguise his own plagiarism, a practice much more easily executed in his time than it is today. Was Nostradamus just an early medium of his time, playing on and selling to the weakness of a portion of society that needed something more than fact?

None of the so-called prophecies of Nostradamus have ever been proved to relate to any world events over history in more than a fleeting way. They are so incredibly generalised, vague, shrouded in symbolism and at their very basis, likely very poorly translated from the originals in the first place, as to be not so much prophecies, as “let’s fit them to whichever event we see fit, AFTER the event” because it adds to the mysticism, and we love mysticism don’t we?

The Internet is awash with ‘proof’ that Nostradamus predicts a comet in the skies in 2012 which will affect the gravitation of the Earth, and result in apocalyptic destruction on a global scale. Yet, the references to such seem to be plucked out of his hundreds of prophecies, undated and unspecific, and no real reason given as to why they supposedly relate to 2012. Maybe it is our culture that is linking these to other myths such as Nibiru, Planet X, the Mayan long count calendar and so on.

Whatever Nostradamus intended, let’s just hope that the belief and fear that popular culture has built up around these unproved, loose and possibly downright made-up prophecies doesn’t itself lead to the demise of society as we know it.
