Bauchle: A relatively mild insult that describes either someone who is shaped in an odd way or is just deemed to be somewhat slovenly.

Bampot: Used to describe someone who is not quite right in the head. This could be because they are a bit stupid or just plain dangerous.

Bawheid: Implies that the person is daft or stupid, almost suggests that the persons head is filled with air like a ball.

Clatty: Someone who is clatty is best described as being dirty, whether it be by mud or just not washed.

Dobber: A slang term that describes an idiot.

Eejit: The Scottish way of saying idiot. Can also be used in the phrase eejit-heid to describe someone who is stupid.

Glaikit: Describes a person who is perhaps not the sharpest knife in the drawer. i.e. someone who is deemed to be lacking in the brain department. A rather stupid person.

Grotbag: Derived from the English word grotty which means someone who is dirty and unkempt.

Hackit: Describes a person who has no chance of ever being described as handsome or beautiful. Or could be used to describe someone who is deemed to be dirty and unwashed.

Midden: Used to either describe someone who has a certain lack of fashion sense or someone who looks as dirty as a tramp.

Manky: Refers to someone who has probably never hear of soap as they are deemed to have a problem with personal hygiene. Can also used to describe an article that is dirty.

Mockit: Same as ‘manky’, someone whose personal hygiene is really bad.

Numpty: If you are one sandwich short of a picnic, or a couple of cards short of a full deck then you would be a numpty. i.e. stupid.

Nyaff: To describe someone as a nyaff could be because of their diminutive stature, whether in height or just in attitude.

Tumshie: Or Tumshie-Heid, means a turnip. So call someone this and you are meaning that there brain is like a turnip and thus not too smart.
