Are You an Objectivist?

by Silent Wasp in Philosophy, March 9, 2010

I would like to say firstly that im an objectivist, and being an objectivist I like to look at life, and all of the aspects of life objectively. This great philosophy created by Ayn Rand, is one of the few things I agree upon when it comes to her philosophies, as there’s is an excessive amount of her teachings that I find severely clashing with my current ideologies. I could say that there’s no one person out there that I would agree to entirely, but then I am an individual with clashing and contradicting values. But through the Objectivist approach at least I recognise the good of both collectivism, and individualism. Just as I see the good in real democracy and the bad in the crap that gets sold as democracy nowdays. I’ll be concentrating on the philosophy of objectivism here though, and looking at the pros and cons of this great philosophy. I also must say that im no expert of objectivism or any philosophy, im merely mirroring my understanding.
