Sightings of UFOs skyrocket in 2012

The first week of 2012 UFO reports piled in from all around the world, numerous eyewitnesses describe and videotaped odd things up in the sky.

The largest UFO investigative organization in the world called the Mutual UFO Network received tons of reports of UFOs throughout the first week of the new year 2012 from people in 36 of the 50 states. 

MUFON recorded around 500 reports of sightings for the entire month of January 2011, and for the first week of 2012 the have already recorded 233 sightings.

Most UFOs turn out to be explainable objects , but there is always the small remainder of the unexplained.

Java codes resemble a Dracula sucking away what could have been the best youthful time of your life … while bugs munch the leftovers of sanity … adamantly throwing exceptions, one after another at regular interval …

The cafeteria where once you delightfully had damp puffs and where the clouds posed for you near the window looks like a wormhole … a portico, connecting your golden cage with the cacophonous world.

When you talk, it becomes Rant. When you smile, it becomes an emoticon. When you write, it becomes Ramblings and Grumblings. Your phone bills are soaring high, yet you feel stuffed with unsaid words.

Looking up at the same-old-moonlit sky, you pray for incidents to happen… something remotely out of ordinary. Sincerely hope , that your molecular duplicate on the other side of universe, in a parallel world is not suffering the same fate. “

A kiss was just a passion plant, also contains the value of art. The proof, some people do it sensational.

Here are four stories about the heroic as well as sensational kiss in various corners of the world.

In Sri Lanka, 200 couples were arrested for kissing in public areas

Affection in public areas is prohibited in Sri Lanka. Earlier this month, about 200 couples were arrested because they do a hot session in the public areas without the slightest embarrassment.

“Not to worry, we will usually free them after telling their parents,” said police spokeswoman.

Japanese lab creates “simulator kissing”

If the desire to kiss the spouse can not take place because of distance, Japanese researchers try to realize the desire. Last month, a laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications announced it has developed a Kiss Transmission Device designed to effectively send a kiss feelings toward the other person even though the relationship of virtual communication.

After all hell broke loose in Canada at the Stanley Cup on June 15, several pairs seen kissing on the pavement while around him a lot of riot police were securing. In the picture, she looked resigned to their partner while providing a quick kiss as if to imply that everything will be fine.

The couple in Thailand break a record “longest kiss”

Approximately four months ago, the couple kissing in Thailand record-breaking world’s longest, namely 46 hours, 24 minutes and 9 seconds during Valentine’s Day. And, the Guinness Record rekok noted.

They do kiss in any position, either sitting or sleeping. In fact, they were still kissing, drinking from a straw. The record is printed through a local competition that won a competition in which spouse is entitled to a diamond ring worth USD1.606 dollars  and cash amounting to USD3.213.

Colonel Qaddafi Hooked On three Stooges:

            According to a former friend of the Libyan dictator, Muammar Qaddafi is still so infuriated over the United States’ bombing of Tripoli that he prefers to remain in his tent and watch old Three Stooges movies.  “He just sits there, watching his Stooges videotapes and pouting like a spoiled child,” says Ali Adjina, who has defected to France.  “He used to idolize world leaders and men of war like Napoleon and Alexander the Great.  Now he looks up to nobody but Larry, Moe, and Curly!”  After a friend gave Qaddafi three racing camels in an effort to cheer him up, the colonel had them killed and stuffed, then placed them outside his tent with signs around their necks bearing the names of the Stooges.  “The colonel has gone off the deep end before, but I’m afraid this time he’s gone for good.” states Adjina. “The other day he started laughing to himself in that idiotic way the fat Stooge does….I tried to tell him it wasn’t right for a man of his stature to spend all day watching the Three Stooges – and that’s why I’m not living in Libya anymore.”  (Weekly World News – submitted by George Edwards, Rosedale, N.Y.)

Walking Catfish Eats Farmer: 

A huge walking catfish in China’s Yunnan province consumed a farmer and injured his wife and eight children.  Although officials believe that 41-year old Chen Xieping beat his family and fled, his neighbors swear they saw the 13-feet long, two-ton “River Dragon,” says Chen’s wife Li.  “We were sitting for our evening rice when we heard a shrieking noise from the river.  Chen ran outdoors to investigate.  The noise grew louder and we could hear Chen shouting for help.  “She heard her husband pounding on the door, and opened it to find him being swallowed by the enormous fish.  Local farmers says it swung Chen against his hut, bringing it down upon his family, then walked back to the river with Chen’s feet protruding from his mouth.  “I could hear Chen screaming for help, begging for someone to come and release him,“ recalls one neighbor. “My heart goes out to Chen’s family.  They have lost a true hero of the people.  I would never have dared fight the River Dragon…It is a demon sent from hell to punish us.” (National Examiner)

Fortune-teller Erma Valen is able to predict the future by reading letters in alphabet soup.  Proficient at reading tea leaves for 30 years, she knew nothing of her abilities with soup until the day she decided to cook some for her nephew.  “I felt like having soup and remember sitting there stirring it,” says Erma.  “Suddenly, this strange, cold feeling for my friend, who was to leave on a bus trip, came over me.  When I looked down in the bowl, I saw the letters D-E-A-T-H spelled out on my spoon.  It was undoubtedly meant for my friend.”  Erma warned the woman, who decidedly not to take the trip, and thereby saved her life – the bus collided with a truck later that day, killing several people.  Erma also told her sister not to be concerned over her problems with money after seeing the word gold in her bowl.  Sure enough, her brother-in-law’s salary was nearly doubled when he was hired by another company.  “It’s a combination of my own abilities and destiny,” Erma explains. Washed-up Rock Group Makes Waves: 

Atlantis, the world’s first underwater rock band, had its premier gig at the Los Angeles Swim Stadium near the L.A. Coliseum.  The group played with waterproof instruments, breathing apparatus, and shock resistant cables while their fans looked on from behind a Plexiglass partition.  “They were a real gas,” one comments.” “Bubbly,” I guess, was the word for them.  I especially liked their “Sea Cruise,” “Rock Lobster,” and “Wet Rap” songs.  In fact, I can hardly wait for their LP, Moray Eel, to come out.” Although they made a splash, leader Jim Mouth doesn’t know if there will be future performances:  “The rest of the group want to escape rock n’ roll depths and go on to greater heights…We could play as we parachute down to earth.” News Extra).

1 – Fireworks

Have the ashes packed into fireworks and let them go off with a bang - A Final Hurrah!

There are a number of companies who offer provide this service, including (in the UK) “Heavenly Stars fireworks” or “Heavens-Above Fireworks”, however most fireworks companies will provide this service upon personal request.

Fireworks can be fabricated to include all or part of the “cremains” – and the firework packaging personalized with the name of the deceased and a prayer or personal tribute.

Cost

 “Ashes Rockets” cost around $100,00  whilst a multi shot box costs around two $ 400.00.

2 – A Diamond

Convert the Ashes into a Diamond

Natural Diamonds are created when carbon is subjected to millions of years of extreme heat and high pressure deep within the earths crust.

In recent years, inventive humans have developed a quicker method of creating these ultimate glittering gems in the laboratory.

As the human body has a high carbon content   - it is possible to purify the carbon in the ashes, apply heat and pressure in the lab and the result is a perfectly formed diamond – which can be cut and polished to any specification – to fit in any type of jewelry, a ring or a pendant or brooch etc.

Cost

The cost varies depending upon the colour, weight, cut and carat of the desired diamond, however, based upon a pricelist from the cleverly named “Phoenix Diamonds” the prices vary from $ 2700.00 – $11 000.00 pounds.

3 – An Eco Reef

Convert the Ashes into an Underwater, Ecologically Friendly Memorial Reef

 For anyone who, in life, was keen on ecology, the sea or marine life, it may be a fitting tribute to have their ashes mixed with a specially formulated cement and molded into a permanent eco-friendly reef, providing a habitat for a variety of sea life one submerged.

This service is provided in Florida, USA and Acapulco Mexico by “Eternal Reefs”.

Cost

The cost for an individually fabricated reef is between $3000.00 – $7000.00, depending upon the size of the completed product. 

4 – A Portrait

Commission an artist to use the “Cremains” to produce a Portrait of your loved one.

The portrait above was done by Raven J Collins using the ashes and a selected photograph of the subject, just google “Portraits from Ashes” to see more examples of Raven’s work. 

The ashes are ground into a paste in a pestle and mortar, liquid is added and the mix carefully applied to the pencil sketch or painting beneath.

I would imagine that many artists would be open to offer to carry out this work – although specialized artists in this field will advertise in your location.

Cost

Using Raven’s work as an example, portraits cost between $200.00 and $300.00  – although this may vary significantly with different artists, so it is wise to get a fixed quotation at the outset.

5 – Pencils

Have the “cremains” converted into pencils….a concept by product designed Nadine Jarvis

“240 pencils can be made from an average body of ash – a lifetime supply of pencils for those left behind.

Each pencil is foil stamped with the name of the person. Only one pencil can be removed at a time, it is then sharpened back into the box causing the sharpenings to occupy the space of the used pencils. Over time the pencil box fills with sharpenings – a new ash, transforming it into an urn. The window acts as a timeline, showing you the amount of pencils left as time goes by.”

Despite this being a very imaginative and poetic concept, I cannot find any manufactures of this product……yet.  I am sure that it will only a matter of time before someone markets this product so, if this appeals to you, watch this space!

 6 – Paperweights

Human ashes can be converted into decorative glass products – which may be more personable than a traditional urn around the house.

There are a number of companies which will incorporate human ashes into a variety of glass objects, including paperweights, sun-catchers, sculptures, perfume bottles or vases.

This idea should not be too shocking as cattle “cremains” have been used in the production of bone china since the 1800’s.

The ashes are added to the artists molten glass, which is molded and cooled very slowly to prevent cracking

Cost

Prices vary from between manufacturers and are dependent upon design, shape, colors, size, however as a very rough guide, individual pieces may cost between $ 150.00 – $1000.00 

7 – Tattoo

For the more adventurous, have the ashes mixed with inks and tattooed into your skin.

Many tattoo artists are now offering this service and it is becoming an increasingly popular choice for the younger generation, however, it is not without its risks.

Although pathogens from the deceased are removed during the cremation process, ruling out issues regarding cross-contamination,  the risk lies in the fact that you are introducing impurities to the skin within the tattoo ink, no matter how small the remains are ground, the body may still try to reject them, as it would a small splinter. 

It is therefore wise to seek further professional advice if choosing this option.

Cost

Tattoo artists who provide this service will vary considerably in price depending upon the artists experience, the size, colours, intricacy of tattoo design desired, so it is wise to get a quotation up front.

However, considering the potential risks, choosing the cheapest quotation may not be the best option in this case – Opting for the most experienced tattoo artist (particularly in the use of ashes) with the best health and safety record may be a better search criteria.

 8 – Off World

There is a company offering to take human ashes into space either to scatter or……just for the ride!!

The company “Celestis” offers to take a small portion of the “cremains” and scatter them in earths orbit, in deep space or even, on the surface of the moon.  You even have the option to send them up – just for the ride, where they “experience weightlessness” and are returned to Earth.

It is reported that the remains of 1960’s icon Timothy Leary and Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry have been scattered in space by Celestis.

Cost

1gram of ash – $ 995.00 for space-flight with return to earth

1gram of ash – $ 2995.00 scattered into earths orbit

1gram of ash – $ 9995.00 scattered on the surface of the moon

1gram of ash – $12,500 scattered into deep-space

9 – Balloons

The ashes are placed within a helium balloon which is released to float symbolically skyward – the ashes are scattered when the balloon pops.

The “Eternal Ascent Society” provides this service and describes the process thus:-

“Our service is elegantly simple. After processing the cremated remains we place them in a 5-foot, biodegradable balloon. We inflate the balloon with Helium inside our patented inflation chamber, transport the balloon in the inflation chamber to a site chosen by the family and release it to the heavens. When released, the balloon slowly ascends to a height of approximately 30,000 feet. During the balloon’s ascent it expands and at a height of approximately 6 miles (where it is 40 degrees below zero) it freezes and fractures, scattering the ashes to the four winds.”

Cost

Between $995.00 and $2,500.00 depending upon how elaborate you want the release ceremony to be.

 10 – Cremation Jewelry

If you cannot bear to part with all the ashes, cremation jewelry is designed especially to contain a small amount of ash.

There is a wide variety of design of cremation jewelry available, something to suit all tastes, and of course it can be personalized to any specification.

Cost

As a rough guide, $ 50.00 – $ 500.00 depending upon the metal, design, size, personalization required.

Eh’haeusl

At just over 8 feet wide and with room for one couple, the Eh’haeusl Hotel in Amberg, Germany is the world’s smallest hotel. It’s also almost 400 years old! In the 1700s, local laws stated that couples couldn’t get married until they owned a house. To get around this law, a resident built a small house in between two houses and sold it to couples for a low price. Eh-haeusl translated means “little marriage house,” and now it considered good luck for honeymooners to spend the night there. And despite its small dimensions, the hotel is actually spread over 7 narrow floors and has achieved 5-star status.

Yotel

Yotel rooms are unique, futuristic and a cross between a Japanese capsule hotel and a first-class airline cabin. The 16 square foot rooms are fully equipped with ensuite bathrooms, WiFi, flat screen TVs and couches that transform into double beds with the push of a button. There are no fridges or minibars, but you can always venture out to the hotel’s outdoor terrace, bars, restaurant, studio and gym. Yotel has locations in New York, London and Amsterdam and if you want to explore the city past checkout time, a giant luggage robot (“Yobot”) will store your bags for you.  

Das Park

As its website’s awkward translation states, Das Park Hotel offers a “temporary comfortable uncomplicated home for a certain time.” In other words, you will spend the night in a refurbished sewer pipe. It’s a nice sewer pipe though, with a double-wide Eurofoam mattress, a power outlet, luggage storage and fresh blankets, pillows and sheets. Toilets and showers are supplied in the common space. Plus, Das Park operates on a “pay as you wish” system.

Desert Cave Hotel

The Desert Cave Hotel is found in Coober Pedy, Australia, which is the opal capital of the world. Thanks to its abundance of mines and unbearable 36°C average summer temperature, much of the town lies underground—hotels included. The Desert Cave Hotel is Coober Pedy’s only 4 star underground hotel and features rooms that are quiet, cool, dark and airy. There are no windows and the walls are 4 feet thick, but the hotel still manages to offer free WiFi. If you’re deathly claustrophobic you can escape to the above-ground pool and restaurant, or stay in one of their above-ground rooms.

Utter Inn (Otter Inn)

The above-water part of the Utter Inn resembles a tiny Swedish house with white gables, which is an odd sight to see in the middle of Lake Mälaren. But when you crawl down the hatch, you’ll arrive in a single-room hotel that is 3 metres below the surface, containing only twin beds, a table and panoramic windows in all directions. Guests are taken the 1 km out to the hotel, then dropped of with nothing but an inflatable boat. If they pay extra, supper can be delivered later. No word on how the bathroom situation works.

 1 – The Ghost of the Twin Towers

Take a good look at this photograph, you will notice two dark lines in the skyline

This could be a coincidental flaw on the film / smudges on the lens, however, given the location of these two “shadows” I found this photograph disticty eerie! 

Could a residual energy remain at this site of heartwrenching tragedy, visible in a spectrum of light outside our human field of vision but detectable with the extended spectrum of a camera equipmet explain the photograph?

Could the imagination, thoughts, sorrow and consciousness of the people on the tour bus somehow conjoured the apparition to appear on the photograph? Or is this a simple coincidental flaw, reflective shadow or even a deliberate hoax, perhaps we will never know

This is one of the most famous ghost pictures in the UK!

This startling image was captured in 1936 by a photographer from “Coutry Life” magazine when they were running an article on the Rainham Hall estate in Ilford, Essex.

The apparition had been sighted in the hall on several occassions prior to this photograph being captured:-

·         Christmas 1835 – it was recorded that guests Colonal Loftus and a chap named Hawkins ran into an apparition on the staircase – they described it as an aristocratic woman in a brown dress – perfect in every feature – except that she glowed with a strong etherial light and where her eyes should have been, there were just empty dark sockets.

·         Captain Marryat, another guest at the hall was the next to have recorded an encounter with the apparition, he and two others described seeing the glowing figure stood in a doorway,” grinning diabolically” at them – The Captain, terrified tried to shoot the ghastly being, but the bullet passed straight through it.

·         In 1929, Lady Townsend, who resided in the hall reported that her son and his friend had confessed to seeing a ghost on the staircase.

Further examinations of the photograph have ruled out any deliberate tampering.

3 – 1970’s Wedding Crasher Ghost

A professional photographer was commissioned to take photographs of guests attending a wedding reception held in Paisley, UK in 1972. 

If you look closely at the legs of the gentleman on the right, there appears to be an additional foot (with sandal) trouser leg, and a eye peeping out from the bottom of his jacket!  The figure looks small and totally out of proportion.

Both the photographer and the guests confirmed that there was categorically no one else in the picture with them.

This photograph has been tested by a local police lab – who confirmed that the image was genuine and had hot been tampered with.

4 – RAF Ghost

Sir Victor Goddard, retired RAF officer, revealed this (now famous) photographic anomaly -

The snap was taken at the Royal Navy airbase HMS Daedalus in 1919 on the day of the funeral of the squadren mechanic, Freddie Jackson – who had been killed two days earlier in the propellor of an aeroplane.

 It is said that it is undeniably Freddie’s features which mysteriously appear in the photograph (image enlarged on the left for clarity).

5 – The Ghastly Monk

This famous (and totally horrifying) photograph has got to be the inspiration behind the “scream” mask!

It was snapped in the early 1960’s (prior to prolific photoshop tomfoolery) in Newby Church, North Yorkshire, UK by the Reverend K F Lord. 

The church was 200 years old, however, many believe that the monks garb is more indicitive of the dress code from the 1500’s.

6 The “Angel”

This amazing human shape mist appeared in a photograph taken in 1988 in New York City  by a professional fire department accident investigator just prior to rescue of the living driver from the car wreck. 

Many imagine that this is some kind of “Angel” spirit – rushing to the aid of Rose Benvenuto the driver – who, miraculously survived the ordeal.

Both the photograph and it’s negative have been vigorously tested for any signs of interference – however – no evidence of a hoax has been determined.

7 The Tulip Staircase Ghost

This bizarre photograph was taken in 1966 in the National Maritime Museum, Grenwich, UK -

Reverend Ralph Hardy, a retired clergyman from British Columbia was admiring and photographing the elegant “tulip” staircase, an architectural focal point in the building.

The Reverend insists that the staircase was empty when he took the shot, and was therefore flabberghasted to view a strange “faceless” translucent figure holding onto the bannister rail when he viewed the developed photograph.

The photograph was examined by experts from Kodak, who had to agree that the image had not been tampered with in any way.

The photograph above is taken from an article in the Daily Mail in March 2009 – where a ghostly pale small childs face can be seen peering at the camera from inbetween the teenage girls.

Unbeknown to the Reverend, the building (and particularly the staircase) had had been previously dubbed as being haunted due to the number of people who had heard mysterious footsteps and noted doors opening and closing on their own.

8 – Car Ghost

This 1960’s photograph of the brand new family car caused a stir when they got it back from the developers.

The man in the driveway immediately noticed the image of his dead “car loving” father watching him from the car behind him – the man who had taught him to drive years earlier.

These apparitions were witnessed by the entire crew – firstly on the side of the ship, and then in the ocean.

The faces were those of seamen James Courtney and Michael Meehan who had tragically died aboard the ship the previous day….they had been overcome by noxious gas fumes whilst cleaning out a cargo bay.

As was the ships tradition, their lifeless bodies had been committed to the sea – so the entire vessel was in shocked uproar to see their disembodied faces the following day.
