A critical commentary about Muslim criticism's of U.S. drones operating in "THEIR" country!!!

OK, we all know how the United States was sucked into a war in Iraq under George Bush Senior, and then again by his “boy” Good Ole GW Bush Junior, Right. I mean I have to applaud the American military for their efforts in Iraq to rid the country of the radicalized, rag headed camel jockeys that roam the desert nation looking for something to “blow up”! And I sincerely sympathize with any American family whose son, daughter, husband, wife, father or mother dies in service to their country to assist this time proven waste of humanity. However, NOW the New Regime has stated they do not want American drones operating in “their skies”.

Give me a break! These people who were ruled by a corrupt, little weasel named Sadaam Hussein for “like ever”, now are ordering American diplomats to keep U.S. drones out of “their skies”. I would suggest that President Obama send Hilary Clinton over there to kick some “camel jockey ass”. Evidently, those two bit sand snakes have forgotten how we kicked the crap out of their “Royal Guard”, who went running for the hills at the first sight of the power and might of the American Armed Forces. How are military forces had to look through every drain pipe, sewer line, and hole in the ground until we found their “Supreme Leader” who held them captive for 30 years. Or how he and his idiot sons played torture games with their own people, raping and beating their women and daughters.

Looking for good reads and HOT SELLERS? GO TO AMAZON.COM, KINDLE EBOOKS OR CREATESPACE.COM AND PURCHASE HOT SELLERS LIKE: “TASHA-THE ASSASSIN WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO” OR “STACIE WILDE’S WILDE TIMES” OR “THE WILD RIDE” OR IF YOU WANT SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS TRY “JACK THE SURFER DUDE-THE BEGINNINGS”; “JACK THE SURFER DUDE-PART DEUX”; “JACK THE SURFER DUDE-HIT THE ROAD” OR “JACK THE SURFER DUDE-HANG TEN” ALSO AVAILABLE AT WWW.YOUCANTTAKETHETRUTH.COM

Yet after all of that, some of those mindless flea ridden sand rats had the nerve to say they thought they were better off with Sadaam Hussein! The American Government should immediately begin proceedings to initiate reparations to pay back the Trillions of dollars wasted on the two Iraqi wars. Additionally, a Death Benefit should be paid to each American family who lost a family member in any form of service while serving in that hell hole. Its not hard to do. We have all those worthless politicians in Congress, who can’t get along and try to do ANYTHING that benefits their constituents. Put them to work taking back the money America spent on those worthless Muslim Bas—-s over the last 20 years.

“The United States, which will soon begin taking bids to manage drone operations in Iraq over the next five years, needs formal approval from the Iraqi government to use such aircraft here, Iraqi officials said. Such approval may be untenable given the political tensions between the two countries. Now that the troops are gone, Iraqi politicians often denounce the United States in an effort to rally support from their followers.

A senior American official said that negotiations were under way to obtain authorization for the drone operations, but Ali al-Mosawi, a top adviser to Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki; Iraq’s national security adviser, Falih al-Fayadh; and the acting minister of interior, Adnan al-Asadi, all said in interviews that they had not been consulted by the Americans.Mr. Asadi said that he opposed the drone program: “Our sky is our sky, not the U.S.A.’s sky.”

Well, Mr. Asadi, Mr. Falil al-whatever, and your puppet Prime Minister Maliki, KISS OUR AMERICAN ASS! YOUR Skies, give me a break! You guys hid cringing in camel dung when the American F15’s went roaring overhead. Now you are going to “pretend” to tell the United States to “Get Out”? No kidding, when is someone in the U.S. government going to have enough balls to tell these rag headed Muslims to “Pay us Back” for all of the misery, anguish, and lives lost defending their “Civil Rights”? OH, Wait I KNOW! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!

This is about what a 15 yr old could possibly know about the world, and how we should care about it.

Those of us who are new to the world don’t know much about politics, or world issues. We know about school, football, our favorite athletes, and people who we “like.” But I must posse the question.. Should we as teenagers worry about the issues our government face? Should we care about poverty, and the destruction of the economy? Should we worry why our parents are so damn worried about our future? or should we stay in this bubble of ours? I think about these things all the time, and I’m going to be honest- they worry me. Where is our society headed? Where are when we run out of oil and such? We shouldn’t be wasting all our money on war! but on alternative fuel sources, and cures for diseases, and food for the hungry, and jobs for the jobless, and world peace. We need to unite everyone before we can move forward again….

Americans and Europeans send the navy into the Persian Gulf. Maybe it is just a continuation of diplomatic coercion. Or not.

Preparations for War (2)

Americans and Europeans send the navy into the Persian Gulf. Maybe it is just a continuation of diplomatic coercion. Or not.

On Sunday, 22 January entered the Persian Gulf aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Apparently this is a routine voyage. The Gulf also directed the British and French warships. American fleet will strengthen two more destroyers and battle cruiser USS Cape Wed George equipped missile system. These will join the British HMS Argyll, and a French warship.

Israel faces restrained

Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan advocates a tactic against Tehran “low intensity war”: for example, using the murder of scientists, infection by computer Iranian terrorist and nuclear decommissioning. That is also happening.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, although he said that “confrontation is very remote.” , On the 22 January in an interview for CNN stated: “It is time to deal with Iran and its nuclear program. People understand that Iran is bent on acquiring nuclear weapons. There is no other possible explanation for what actually did. And it must be stopped. “

In early January, an American Jewish publisher Andrew Adler writes in an editorial: Maybe it would be appropriate to let assassinate President Obama to prevent the future extinction of Israel. Yes, if the U.S. president killed a Muslim, it would be for Israel really good news. But he believed it after the assassination of Kennedy someone else, that the shooter is not interposed?

If the Americans were attacked by Iranian military forces, comes immediately overwhelming retaliation. That we already know. This Monday the Americans sent to Iran 50 years old mother ship nuclear-powered USS Enterprise. Alternative analysts immediately began to create a conspiracy theory: the old warship could be sacrificed in the False Flag event. It is good to start a war because we are under attack and defend.

Does America need another war?

BUT NOW debt America needs – tired of Bush’s wars – the new long and costly war? What she will complete destabilization of the Middle East and the subsequent Cold War? It is economically and politically feasible? And what Obama promises peace-policy? It does not match. What does Iran? Once threatened to block the emergency passes, it does not become threatening. Now the Iranians can watch telescopes, both bound for an enemy to their coasts. That channel is one of the world’s most important shipping routes, each day passes about 15 million barrels of oil. And the idea with his blocking is not like even China. Tehran has a reason to be angry: the EU, true to Washington, has introduced economic sanctions on Iranian oil. The British promised to send troops crisis point. Suspected Iranian missile explosion at the base, after the assassination of nuclear scientists in daily traffic on the street. Dirty work for which no one answer, but it’s pretty clear who fits.

Waiting for the Savior

Ahmadinejad knows how to hit Saddam Hussein confident. Confidence can be suicidal. But, what if the rationalist West to do with Muslim who truly believes in an apocalyptic war will return, “Imam Mahdi” to save the world.

Some experts suspect Ahmadinejad, working on such a scenario. Resound fears that Ahmadinejad, who at the beginning of each of his speech implored the Mahdi to return, maybe he wants his nuclear policy directly provoke an Israeli military strike. As the German political scientist wrote of Iranian origin Safiarian Kamran in his new book Sud gunpowder Iran, Ahmadinejad is “messianic supporter Hodžatí League, founded in the 50s.” They should soon appear Mahdi and free the world of wickedness and injustice. The Iranian offshoot of Shiite Islam is enshrined in the belief that the 12th Imam Muhammad Mahdi, the last direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammed, disappeared about a thousand years ago, the teens and one day return to save humanity.

Russia and China

Russia has verbally supported by Tehran, but he probably will not help. It is expected that if war breaks out with Iran, rather it uses the occupation of Georgia, where he pushes Americans. Beijing protested against the sanctions while, but it also warned Tehran before closing the Strait. Chinese Premier during the tour of Arab countries criticized the reliance on Iran nuclear program. Beijing apparently has no interest in the war. On the contrary wants to build a $ 10 billion oil refinery in Saudi Arabia. China is one of the largest customers Iranian oil.

Background

The new crisis of relations between the international community and Iran broke out after the Tehran White House – on the basis of a report issued by the IAEA in December – charged that the aim of its nuclear program to be nuclear weapons.

However, neither the organization did not demonstrate that Iran is actually working to create an atomic bomb. The same conclusion was reached even U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, when the American broadcast television station CBS said that the Iranians are trying to produce nuclear weapons. Indeed, one former member of the IAEA, strongly questioned the way the IAEA’s work and argues. Nobody knows if the Iranians really develop the atomic bomb. That does not matter to politicians, as history teaches us, the politicians just a pretext, and that they already have. And Tehran is playing into their notes. It reminds Iraq-Afghan scenario.

chronology of development

JANUARY 2012

1.24 – The embargo on Iranian oil imports has joined Australia.
1.22 – Israel warned the U.S. leadership that will inform Washington about the attack of their armed forces on the Iranian nuclear objects just 12 hours before the start of combat operations. He said the newspaper The Sunday Times.
1.14 – Iran announced that it has evidence that the initiator of the murder of Mustafa Ahmad, Rosana, the United States. Washington denied it.
- The U.S. announced that they are concerned about the possibility that Israel will take separate air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
1.13 – United States warned Iran has a secret diplomatic channels before closing the Strait of Hormuz.
11.1 .- In Ieheránu was assassinated by a bomb Iranian nuclear physicist Rosana Mustafa Ahmad. Iran accused Israel of an attack.
1.3 – U.S. newspaper publisher Atlanta Jewish Times, Andrew Adler speculates that one of the ways to save the state of Israel is to let the Mossad to assassinate President Barack Obama.

DECEMBER 2011

12.28 – U.S. and Israel were negotiating the borders of the Iranian nuclear program, the excess would be considered sufficient reason to attack nuclear facilities.

NOVEMBER 2011

11.18 – IAEA Board of Governors approved a resolution on Iran, calling for the unconditional and complete explanation of all of the issues of Iran’s nuclear program. All answers to unanswered questions Tehran has supplied no later than March.
11.13 – At a military base in Tehran, there was an explosion that killed several members of the Revolutionary Guards, including the officer who was a key figure in Iran’s missile program. Some media speculated that the explosion was that of Israel.
8.11 – Russia and Iran warned against a military attack against Iran.

The race against time is getting ever more urgent around the wreck of the Costa Concordia cruise liner, rescue divers retrieving a 13th body, that of a woman wearing a life jacket, on Sunday, as the ship continues to slip. In the way that floating platform legs are tensioned, it is being put forward now that a mooring system consisting of tendons, attached to the structure and connected to a foundation on the seabed, be employed ASAP

This 114,500-ton giant ran aground with more than 4,200 people aboard 9 days ago, yet passengers unaccounted is an unclear number as the liner may have been carrying unregistered passengers. The rescue efforts must go on, but preventing an environmental disaster is also vitally important.

It can clearly be seen that this huge wreck is undergoing daily movements, resting on two stone benches on the bottom, close by the edge of a 200ft underwater cliff edge, the ship laid at a 24v degree angle, but these pictures – above and below- taken six days apart are graphic displays of the reason for alarm, the funnel much nearer the water

Since fuel recovery operations might take between two and four weeks, possibly during rough seas, experts are now seriously thinking that anchoring the ship to the reef to prevent it from sinking is vital, so that the Smit Salvage company can drill into the ship’s fuel tanks and pump out 2,300 tonnes of fuel oil inside them.

With the vessel continuing to shift dangerously, the inclination now more than 80 degrees, sensors recorded a shifting at a rate of about 0.39 inches an hour overnight. Remember that these seas are home to the Pelagos Sanctuary for Mediterranean Marine Mammals, over 700 species including fin whales, sperm whales, dolphins, tuna, billfish and sharks potentially threatened

Should the liner slide off the shelf to the sea floor 290 feet below 500,000 million gallons of heavy fuel could be spilled into this pristine Tuscan wildlife sanctuary. It is said that 21 steel ropes, 4in diameter are needed to chain the Concordia to the reef and the sea bottom, the project achievable in only two days, and urgently needed. Let us hope action is taken in time.

Wedding parties take place everywhere, but they are all different. Wedding parties take place all the times but none are like the one of my childhood.

I cannot exactly remember how old I was when I was aware of wedding parties around me. Although I am positive that I attended such parties when I was in my mummy’s tummy and later on when my sister was cuddling me until I was able to join other children independently.

I do not know how everything started, and that was not important for me either. The chief chef of my village was a woman called Auntie Halaw, she had giant things at hand on that day; giant pots, giant deep pans, giant spoons and she was also looked quite giant to our eyes. She was standing beside a pot half full of water with oil swimming on the top. My friends and I were looking at the pot and we imagined it was a swimming pool. It was good that they asked one of the men to guard the whole cooking area otherwise one or two of the most naughty children might jumped in the imagined swimming pool.

The smell of the burning wood, the half burned oil, the blurry rice inside the pot all was big experience for me. Pure Halaw was not only the chief cook of the women but she had a lot of power over a group of young men appointed to help her with the fire, lifting heavy pots, preventing the children from coming too close to the risky area, and to be as ready as a bullet to anywhere she ordered them to go to bring more equipment for that great day.

The equipment, as they were so giant they were not for daily use, come from different households, a pot from this house another one from the next and so on. It was a busy day; however we could not just stick to the cooking part as we heard the sound of the songs and dance from the village square. We were running from one to the other and when we spent some time watching the dance and looking at the dancing men and women we were coming back to check what was going on in the cooking domain.

Men were served first, among men guests from the surrounding villages and higher ranked men from our village such as the religious leader or Imam, the village chief called Kwekha and other elderly men. After them came the women and as we desperately were waiting to have our share in the feast they repeatedly told us ‘you children, stay quiet and soon you will be served’. It was not only ‘late’ but it was as late as it looked if we were waiting for ages. I heard my mother, who was dressed very brightly, complaining about me to a neighbour as I was not going home to have something to eat and was waiting for the feast, ‘children like that because it is a public event, all the children eat together in an open yard, that is why they like it so much’ she said. I did not care so much about that as I wanted to have my share of the rice and stew I was waiting for it so long.

The rice they served the children was somehow coloured, serving the men and the women left so much rice half eaten and have meat mixed with it and stew changed its colour. It was so delicious that it looked like as if it was my first time to eat any rice at all. The burnt rice in the bottom of the pot was so hard that it looked like a giant iceberg. That was not rubbish as one may imagine, as the children were lined up to get their share of that too before the big event when they throw sweets over the bride and we had to have our share of that too.

The dance, the song and the rice became a triangle that I never forget, although now I may easily forget things I did one day ago.

A take on how resources affect revolutions.

Image via Wikipedia | Finish Your Milk and Eat Your Greens!

The Dinner of Nations

“Clink, Clink, Clink!” Mother Earth taps the side of her plate with her knife.

“Come now, Sam,” she commands, “Drink up all your oil and finish your gold!”

Little Uncle Sam looks down at his plate of gold bars with his black glass of oil and starts to bawl.

“But I can’t eat it!” Little Uncle Sam blubbers.

“Well then drink up all your oil!” Mother Earth demands of this fat little boy.

“Whaaa!” he cries, “but you can’t drink that!”

Mother Earth is fed up. She looks down at the dinner table, her brood of 196 little brats, nations all, quietly munching away at dinner – terrified of Mother’s wrath.

Wee Aussie pipes up, “You can’t treat Little Sam like that Mother!” in an irritating, squeaky loud voice.

Mother Earth shoots Wee Aussie the, “I’ll – Send – You – Rain,” glare. It’s a hell of a feast and everyone’s plate is nearly empty. Only Mother Earth has the power to replenish this, “Dinner Time of Nations.”

“Enough!” She howls sending wind, quakes and storms. Wee Aussie doesn’t care, the most spoilt one of them all. He can’t hear her anyway – as his is the only plate full and his face is right down in the bursting dish of stores – slurping it all up like an animal.

“I’ll tell you this,” she continues with a chilly gust, “You’ve all dined on the wrong diet (She’s now mad as hell) AND I’M GOING TO CHANGE ALL THIS!

This Little Tale

The above metaphor explains why revolutions are started. They start from a lack of resources, our focus on the wrong reserves and price rises during scarcity.

Two examples:

1. The cost of staple food increased in Egypt just before the revolutions now whipping the land

2. The cost of everything – electricity, rent and staples – increased before Israeli’s took to the streets to protest.

Resources and Revolutions

Back to the above tale, it is a figure of speech, to show that as a race we are placing value on the wrong resources. You can’t drink oil and you can’t eat gold. I challenge anyone powerful to sit in locked room with me for forty hours with only gold and oil on a table. You would see rather fast that these resources are fruits of plunder and of no benefit except to a primitive society.

Solutions

The three resources that will be important in the coming years are:

1. Clean water

2. Fresh Air

3. Quality topsoil.

Anyone who owns one or all of these will have a much better chance of survival in the coming years. That oil and gold are important is an error. If you truly consider it, social upheavals start and end with supply.

There is a bright economic future guaranteed to Countries that are blessed with oil provided they boldly confront the associated political risks, manage the economic opportunity and extract the maximum return from the resource. (Richard Akinjide SAN: Lecture Series 24: Good Governance, Oil & GAS, and National Development). Nigeria has not been able to cue in to the foregoing opportunities on all fronts. The Country has not been able to manage the political risks which have already manifested in the emergence of militant groups all over the regional divide; the latest kid on the block – Boko Haram– the bomb welding Islamist reli-political group agitating for Sharia Law, because of their frustration and disgust with the Western style democratic governance. There is oil wealth in Nigeria no doubt about it, but the oil wealth has created a disease that breeds injustice as a consequence of the unrelenting progression of corruption, the persistence of bad, incompetent public decision-making and lack of prudence in resource control and management. In fact it is the firmly grounded opinion of some qualified observers ( which I agree), that even if the prices of oil were to reach a more than a thousand US dollars per barrel, Nigeria would not fare any better. Only waste, mind boggling misappropriation of public funds and extreme mass poverty has continued to grow as glaringly illustrated by Nigeria’s history since the oil boom.

A few years back, a World Bank report said the Nigerian society is where it was (and in my view, still is) and what it is because it has disintegrated and lost its cohesiveness. The World Bank explained that; disintegrated societies without cohesion do not thrive even in the midst of abundant material resources – they regress and collapse. To measure the wealth of a nation, the World Bank determined the relative importance of three categories of capital in the nation’s balance sheet (i.e. National Wealth): Natural Assets; Produced Assets and Intangible Assets. Natural Assets are a county’s natural resources, Produced Assets are its accumulated productive capital and Intangible Assets the human and institutional capabilities. The World Bank report concluded that it is not a Country’s tangible assets whether natural or produced; that it is a Country’s mineral resources, agricultural land, forest, industrial equipment and infrastructure which makes a country rich and prosperous. It is rather Country’s intangible assets, the society’s quality index. What precisely are intangible assets? They are all the qualitative components of a human community (Richard Akinjide SAN):

·         The skills and know-how embodied in the labour force;

·         The ability of a nation to efficiently invest the rent extracted from exhaustible resources (The setting of Sovereign Wealth recently is to fill this gap);

·         The mutual trust which exist among members of a society;

·         Their ability to work together for a common goal to which they strongly adhere and in which they firmly believe;

·         The quality of formal and informal institution;

·         The saving and maintenance culture;

·         The extent to which citizens have confidence in the laws of the land and abide by them;;

· Patriotism both the extent to which citizens trust and support their government and the extent to which government trust and support its citizens.

The late American icon, Martin Luther King has this to say on the same subject: “The prosperity of a Country depends not on the abundance of its revenue, nor on the strength of its fortification, nor on the beauty of public buildings, but it consist in the number of its cultivated citizens, in its men of education, enlightenment and character.”

In a nutshell, intangible assets are the policies, actions, values and attitudes which cement a society, make it efficient, make it deserve the right to be called a nation and allow her to attain prosperity.

“Rich countries are largely rich because of the skills of their population and the quality of the institutions supporting economic activity.” The World Bank report concluded.

How then can a Country develop and increase intangible assets, those mostly responsible for its prosperity? The World Bank answers the question thus: Invest in Education. “Educated men are superior to uneducated as the living are to the death.” Said Aristotle. To this end, a holistic investment in human capacity development geared toward mindset and attitudinal transformation based on ethical imperatives is critical for attaining economic vitality and political stability. A well informed (educated) and ethically developed individual is an asset to the society any day. Invest in the functioning of justice delivery system and I daresay develop policies under-girded by a Godly worldview. While I agree that rich Countries are largely rich because they are well governed; poor countries are largely poor because of bad governance according to the World Bank report; but I dare to add the rich countries would not have gotten to where they are today without a Godly Worldview as the foundation and springboard of wealth, even though they try very add to deny it today and are consciously advising developing countries like Nigeria to discard entirely the notion of Godly worldview and rely strictly on secular world view.

The secular mindset sees poverty in primarily physical terms and proffers its solution in material terms, because its under-girding philosophy is materialism. It is this mindset that Africans are anchoring their Development Ethics. But even the so-called developed Nations did not reach where they are today without a Godly worldview in their governance. Among the final remarks of George Washington to the American nation in 1796 after serving two terms as the first president, was: “Of all the habits that lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would man claim the tributes of patriotism who work to destroy these great pillars of human happiness”.

Bernard Shaw in his “Everybody’s Political What’s What” advised: “If you want rule a people in perpetuity, one thing must not. You must not educate them.” But I dare to add this truth: “Everyone who has a thorough knowledge of the Bible may be truly be called educated…..I believe knowledge of the Bible without a college course is more valuable than a college course without the Bile.” William Lyon Phelps. “But for the Bible, we could not know right from wrong. I believe the Bible is the best gift God has given to man.” Abraham Lincoln And “Without the Bible the education of a child in the present state of society is impossible.” Count Leo Tolster.

A noticeable but unsurprising outcome of the World Bank report is the fact that rich Countries intangible assets are by far the major contributor to wealth and prosperity whereas in developing Countries intangible assets often prove critical liabilities, key factor of regression with high negative contribution to wealth. Why so? Tangible assets (natural and produced capital); a Country could either have them or not. If a Country has them, tangible assets contribute positively to its prosperity, if a Country does not have them, it does not make any contribution. The influence of tangible assets on prosperity can be positive or nil, but not negative. In contrast, intangible assets can become intangible liabilities: if skills are low or absent, if inefficiency, incompetence, corruption, irresponsibility and bad management are the rule rather than the exception. The value of tangible assets is the value (positive or nil) of what a Country owns. The value of intangible assets is the value (positive or negative) of a Country’s ability to turn its tangible assets into new wealth. (Richard Akinjide SAN).

A half century of Oil and Gas production would have done marvels in Nigeria if the proceeds have been prudently managed and efficiently invested. Natural capital would then have transformed productive investment (produced capital) aimed at educating, protecting and cementing society (intangible assets). In such a scenario, oil would today play a much smaller role in the Nigerian economy, as a number other economic players would have emerged and Nigeria would be wealthy nation with diversified economy, a solid infrastructure, a strong currency and meaningfully employed citizenry. But our oil has not done of the forgoing. Instead, it exacerbated greed and raised unreasonably high expectations of private appropriation of the national commonwealth, thereby eroding ethical and social values necessary for cohesiveness and meaningful progress. The unearned rent from oil has also frozen incentive to build intangible assets necessary for economic prosperity. We have built a culture in which there is no national standard of values as a firm rational base for our corporate actions. That is the manifestation of the Nigerian disease. And above all Nigeria has so far proved incapable of reforming the institutional system responsible for such an accumulation of intangible liabilities.

The rhetoric of transformation is the present political language of our leadership. While transactional leadership is the daily stuff of mundane politics as the usual pursuit of change in measured doses, to give and take, the transformational leader cut more profoundly and operates on a different spectrum. To transform is to cause a metamorphosis in form or structure, a change in the very condition or nature of a thing, a radical change in outward form and inner character. It is a change of the foregoing breath and depth that is fostered by transforming leadership. Quantitative changes are not enough, they must be qualitative too and so comprehensive and pervasive that new cultures and value system take the place of old.

Vigorous interaction between transforming leaders and their followers is itself a powerful causal force for change. Leaders take the initiative in mobilizing people for participation in the process of change, encouraging a sense of collective identity and collective efficacy which in turn brings stronger feelings of self-worth and a sense of meaningful pursuit in life. The word for the process is empowerment. Instead of exercising power over people, transforming leaders champion and inspire followers to rise above narrow interest and work together for transcending goals. Transforming leaders define public values that embrace the supreme and enduring principles of a people. These values are the shaping ideas behind Constitutions and legislation and their interpretation. Transforming leaders led by example and engagement. These are the essence of statehood.

simple really. bush is arachnophobic. arachnophobic people often kill every arachnid or spider they see. bush, not being the sharpest marble around, went to a shrink who told him he had arachnophobia. he’s not so good with big words and decides that arachnophobia means he’s afraid of people from Iraq, or Iraqnids. so he sends off the military to kill all the scary spider people.

A look at why we forbid the cultivation and consumption of Marijuana and why we need to change our views on this medicinal wonder-plant.

As with any subject you want to find REAL truth in, you have to do your own research to get it. People are often to quick to accept society’s moral standpoint on something like Marijuana as reason enough for it to be wrong, without asking why exactly that is. Even if people have smoked a joint or two in their youth, they still feel that it is wrong, and that what they have done is just a result of youthful rebellion, not to be repeated in their more “enlightened” adult years.

The Lies

Now, when you spend a little time researching how Marijuana was first criminalised in the 1930’s you will see that the real reasons are mainly Racism, Fear, Protection of corporate profits, Personal career advancement and Greed. The propaganda and lies used to aid in the criminalisation of Marijuana in the 30’s worked for the less informed people of the time. The failed attempt at prohibiting alcohol left many in law enforcement without work, so something new was required to create jobs in this sector. The director for the newly formed “Bureau of Narcotics”, Harry J. Anslinger had this to say on Marijuana smokers:

“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.”

“You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.”

“Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.”

Anslingers views were backed up by a movie called “Reefer Madness” in which groups of young white Americans are corrupted by “Weed from the devils garden” sold by mostly Hispanic dealers.

Of course none of this was based on any scientific research whatsoever, but Anslinger saw a great opportunity to create a problem to which he could provide the solution. Anslinger brought these racist lie’s to the American congress and Marijuana was swiftly prohibited without out any real opposition.

Medicinal Marijuana

Now apart from the well publicised high associated with smoking Marijuana, it also has some scientifically recognised health benefits to users with certain ailments. Among the 100’s of conditions Marijuana is said to alleviate are, Premenstrual Syndrome, Alzheimer’s, IBS and Crohns, ADD and ADHD, Multiple Sclerosis, Tourette’s and OCD, Glaucoma, Migraines, Seizures and Cancer. The main active compound in Marijuana that creates the high and combats these diseases is THC, and nearly all the studies conducted were done through the smoking of the plant. There is however, a recently discovered more effective way to take Marijuana medicinally. This is done by extracting the pure THC loaded oil and ingesting orally or applying topically, as discovered by Rick Simpson. I would encourage you all to watch his film “Run from the Cure” which shows people with terminal cancer and other incurable diseases being cured by this new method of ingesting Marijuana.

Now you may be inclined to doubt the authenticity of what can only be described as a wonder medicine which can cure literally EVERYTHING. The reason being that you haven’t heard about it on the news and if this were true, surely someone would be talking about it. Sadly this is just another example of how truth is not important.

Could the real reason it’s not talked about be that a plant, easily grown by anyone, which can cure almost everything, is not good business for pharmaceutical companies? Surely not?

Who Benefits from Marijuana Prohibition?

When we examine exactly who benefits from the criminalisation of Marijuana we start to see a very true reason behind the reluctance to legalise and regulate it. Lets look at the various agencies and people who benefit from it.

- Drug dealers get a highly profitable black market

- Drug enforcement officers get job security

- Drug enforcement agencies get to keep the property and cash of drug offenders

- Private prison corporations get more prisoners (more prisoners – more money)

- Alcohol and Tobacco companies keep their drug duopoly

- Pharmaceutical companies don’t have an all natural, organic, cheap, unpatentable, grow-your-own competitor.

As always, I would just like to encourage people to do their own research and make up their own minds about the truth. Form your opinions through being informed, not through ignorance.
