This is just an account of something that happened in the past.

I am now comfortable talking about this because I have already come to terms with my age. Many years back, I thought being old was a shame and something one has to avoid by all means. When I hit 40, I started to lie about my real age. When people asked me about it, I’d take off 5 to 6 years so I wouldn’t sound so old. I was in the gym everyday doing aerobics, so people thought I was really that young. It was in my mid-forties when I learned how to use the computer. My son taught me about chatting, messaging, emailing, etc. Wow, I thought, this is wonderful. So I began to sign up for many sites in which I could exchange views with others. It was during this point of time that I learned to slowly accept the number because people I met online freely flaunt their ages without batting an eyelash. They’d say they’re 60 or 65 like it was nothing. So I started to give my real age as well and it was fine. I have learned a lot from the interractions I get online and one of these is the ability to accept myself, of who I really am. I can now say, okay, I’m old, so what? That’s none of your business.

The abuse of elders by caretakers is a worldwide issue. In 2002, the work of the World Health Organization brought international attention to the issue of elder abuse. Over the years, government agencies and community professional groups, worldwide, have specified elder abuse as a social problem. To combat this growing problem the 15th June has been declared as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. On this day an increasing number of events will be held across the globe to raise awareness of elder abuse, and highlight ways to challenge such abuse.

If you know of someone who may be a victim of eldery abuse you are urged to contact your local Police or social services offices.

Signs to look out for:
The signs of abuse vary considerably among older people and with the type of harm being experienced. An older person who is being abused may:

Say she or he is being harmed
Seem depressed and withdrawn; signs of depression in elders are not getting dressed, not performing basic care of themselves that they are able to do, never going out even if they can, inability to sleep or sleeping too much
Not accepting invitations to spend time away from their family or a caregiver
Seem afraid to make their own decisions
Seem to be hiding something about a caregiver
Not have any spending money
Put off going to the doctor
Feel anxious and fearful
Try to “run away, leaving their place of residence and not wishing to return
Seem to have too many household “accidents

Please remember these signs can indicate problems other than abuse or neglect, and none of these prove there is harms occurring. The presence of the signs simply indicate that further inquiry may be necessary.

Please remember the 15th June is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Support this cause in anyway you can in your local community.

We owe our lives to our elderly companions we would not be here if it was not for them.

Every human being must be old now, although young, thriving in good health. It is wrong when we were young we forget that tomorrow will be the same as now. We all would have a alias elderly seniors if our life long. Healthy now, even in the future we can ill who need a lot of sacrifice. Thus we must take into our old age so as not to regret for the actions of our youth.

1. Prepare the Fundamental Standard Assets

While there is no harm in young people we have prepared the basic things that would be useful to grandparents later. Homes, motorcycles, cars, furniture, etc. are examples of the underlying asset. Polar house good location to raise a child and is a good investment in the future. Imagine if we retired but still ngontrak home, how does it feel like? If there is more money taken immediately landed a home loan, rather than flats or apartments.

Buying a house is a small possibility of being evicted by a certificate of property with good size and design. If you have more money buy the motor vehicle / car that can be durable in use until old age with little maintenance cost. Mutually homes, cars, furniture and so on would be a waste of money, and therefore choose a long-lasting, durable and easy and inexpensive to maintain.

Do not follow Satan desires to always feel like buying something new, fashionable, trendy, sophisticated and so forth. Buy something simple that can be used for a long time and still use it while it is functioning properly. Example: in fact we can replace the phone every five years.

2. Preparation of Social Community

Prepare the people around us to give attention to us when we enter old age. Educate our children well so that they will be able to live independently and have more food to help the happiest parents in the elderly. Bina our relationship with the wife or husband that is always faithful to accompany and assist us in difficult times and good times.

Humans are social creatures who need a helping hand communication and others to be able to survive naturally. Plenty of help to the people around us unconditionally, without being asked because someday maybe they will give you more help than we asked for later on when we enter a difficult period.

Do not forget that we have a God who created us. Therefore if we want to live meaningful, then choose to worship heaven and devoted to Allah SWT. Useless we are happy to live a hundred years, but after we die we are thrown into the hell of pain and suffering. Expand deeds from now as an investment alias After lunch we leave this world.

3.Preparation of Income In Retirement / a Difficult Time

All people need money to survive in society. Including the parents should still have an income that does not necessarily depend on the child, wife / husband or other people around us.

If we are civil servants or military national police then our so-so at ease in dealing with the elderly because of a salary while not working. But for those who always feel less or who work in state enterprises and private and non-formal old age it will look very scary because there is the possibility for loss of income but have a huge burden of cost of living.
As a young ristislah business that can save us in the future. Has various business units in different without having to involve us in their management was enough to make the heart calm. It could also have a lot of homes, land, shops, kiosks and other things that can be rented. Do not forget to educate the next generation to run the business without us that we can trust such as biological children, nephews, grandchildren, friends, and so forth.

Old age is not an obstacle for us to continue to enjoy the beauty of sex. Enjoy your Sex in old age,,,, keep the spirit ... ok?

Many older adults say their sex life would improve in old age. You can too. Improve your sex life requires more communication with your partner and also make some changes. What are they?

A. Expand the definition about sex

Sex more than vaginal penetration. As you age, various options may be more convenient and satisfying to you. Touch can be a good alternative to penetration. Could mean holding hands touch each other. Can also mean sensual massage, masturbation, or oral sex.

2. Communication with partner

Close communication with your partner. Discuss the changes you are experiencing and what you can do to adjust to a partner during sex. Maybe you both need to change positions. Massage or cuddling may make you uncomfortable. Ask your partner what the needs are and discuss how you accommodate that. Communicate itself can stimulate.

3. Change the routine

Small changes can improve your sex life. Change time to time to have sex the most energetic. Try the morning when you just wake up and still fresh. Because it takes time for a little alma aroused, take more time to find time for romance like a romantic dinner or dancing. Try new sexual positions.

4. Set your expectations

If you do not often have sex when young, do not expect to do better when older. Perhaps you and your partner needs to express intimacy differently than when younger. Couples who have sex when young often have a tendency to continue to do so when the elderly.

5. Take care of yourself

Regulate a healthy diet and regular exercise make your body healthy. This healthy lifestyle will keep your sex organs remain healthy at any age. Make a balanced diet with increased consumption of vegetables and fruits. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Avoid alcohol and drugs because of this bad habit of lowering the sexual function of male and female

Tips Avoid Decrease Memory.

Positive thinking, especially if you want a good mepertahankan memory with age. That’s the advice of scientists at North Carolina State University who found that expecting a decrease in memory with age could be the forecasts will happen to yourself.

In the study published in the journal Experimental Aging Research, they found that adults who do not believe the negative stereotype that memory loss is a natural event in old age, with a good memory test compared with other adults.

“The adults will perform poorly in memory tests when they were told that his colleagues are also doing the same memory test is not good,” as stated by Dr Tom Hess, a doctor who headed the study.

Dr. Hess and his team tested memory in adults aged 60 to 70 years and aged 71 to 82. In addition they perform poorly in tests if they believe the negative stereotypes about age and memory, the parents also do a test with the bad if they do they have a bad stigma because of their age.

“Some situations of adult experiences of everyday life, as worrying about what others think about them in the workplace can berperngaruh on their abilities, and thus potentially reinforce negative stereotypes,” Clearly Dr. Hess.

According to the researchers, the effects are very strong negative effect on adults with higher education levels.

But plusnya side, if the parents have a positive view of age, their memory is much higher.

“The message can be taken is the social factor has the possibility of a negative effect on adult memory,” he added.

Image by Aunt Owwee via Flickr

The demographic changes that are now under way will change virtually every aspect of life. Our task is to thoughtfully and proactively redesign it. What should life scrips look like when most people spend as many years as “old people” as they do rearing their children? How should families operate when there are four or five generations of a family alive at the same time? How should societies work when more people are over sixty than under fifteen?

The actions of today’s generations of older people will set the course for decades to come. Change will happen, one person at a time. So as you begin a new year, envision the steps–small or large–you can take to ensure a long, happy, healthy, prosperous, and a bright future.

Invest in yourself by learning something new. Design your world so that healthy habits are a priority and that come naturally to you. Diversify your social network by befriending a person from a different generation. Start a business that puts others to work. Consider hiring not only the young but incorporate the mature person for their knowledge, experience, and longevity. Think creatively about ways that an unprecedented number of mature, talented, healthy adults can address society’s great challenges. Then take a first step to ensure that the big challenges will be addressed. Imagine: If every person over fifty makes a single contribution, the world could be improved immeasurably.

Take note that social science is clear: People are happiest when they feel embedded in something larger than themselves and when they are needed.

Let us explore that older societies are better societies for every age on the planet.
