The ancient Mayan long-count calendar ends on the Winter Solstice on December 21st, 2012 and some people believe that this marks the end of the world.

2012 Prophecy or Panic? Examines the original source of the ancient Mayan materials with an in-depth look into the issues that are surrounding this modern-day concern that the end of the world and the Mayan long-count calendar predicts a date of this event.

Movie review:

I found that this movie documentary was a refreshing eye-opening exploration into a little known subject as to the ancient Mayan long-count calendar. The known facts about the ancient Mayan culture, beliefs, superstitions and religious practices was helpful in understanding the importance of the much disputed long-count calendar.

The panel of experts delivered a briliant presentation of facts, fictions, evidence and history to the table in an easy to understand manner. This 87-minute movie documentary covers so much information about the 2012 prophecy of the world coming to an end on December 21st, 2012 – that when all is carefully considered there isn’t any reason to panic regarding the ancient Mayan prophecy?

I would strongly recommend this movie documentary video to anyone with reason to panic about the December 21st, 2012 ancient Mayan long-count calendar prophecy, which seems to be stirring strong emotions in people around the world and only being fanned by Big Budget Hollywood Blockbuster movies such as: 2012 released a year or two ago.

Little girl traveling alone ends up in the wrong state after the airline switches her flight!

Nine year old, Chloe Boyce was travelling unaccompanied from her home in Nashville, Tennessee to Laguardia Airport in New York. She was on her way to visit her grandparents, only she ended up in the wrong state! Instead of getting off in New York, Chloe ended up in Baltimore, Maryland!

Apparently due to the weather the airline decided to make an extra stop (one that Chloe nor her mother had planned on). According to Southwest Airlines when minors travel unaccompanied it is not in their policy to contact the parents upon changes to the flight. They did say that they had sent the girls mother an email but her mother says she did not receive one. Needless to say Chloe’s mother Elena Kerr was shocked when her sister called her from the airport in New York asking her where Chloe was. Of course she immediately started to panic.

After half an hour of being on hold Elena Kerr finally got a representative from Southwest Airlines on the phone and her daughter was found. One of the pilots kept an eye on Chloe and got her something to eat as well as keeping her calm through the ordeal. The airline has apologized for causing Chloe and her family grief and has issued a refund. Yet, Chloe’s mother is unsure that she will trust Southwest Airlines for her daughter’s travel in the future.

A Remedy for Panic and a key to unlocking your bountiful bliss-filled dreams.

You wake up and the sun is shining.Yet you feel antsy and panicked. You worry about where you are at in your life. It often feels like we are so far away from all that matters to us. It often feels as if we have only barely brushed upon all we know we are meant to do and be and experience. For those of us who know what we want it seems to hover over us like a gigantic towering mountain, that reaches far past the clouds. And we feel the weight of every inch of this colossal dream upon our hearts. We search every corner of our mind, attacking ourselves as if on trial, “what have not done? What have i forgotten to do? There must be something holding me back?” We torture ourselves with this, We Need To Stop! Relax into a strong fierce faith that lives within you. You Must Believe! when its hardest to do so. The cheesy well known statement of, “fake it till you make it”, is so true. Be not a fake person, but proclaim the parts of who yo are, and what you are meant to do and be, before they happen. Put simply, if you have dreams, dreams of true love, music, helping the world, painter, circus clown, teacher or whatever it may be, but you are not quite living those dreams…YET. Calm yourself before you drown in fear and doubt. You will find great strength if you think about what these dreams mean to you, how at home you feel in these dreams, how the very thought of these dreams makes you feel safe, ALIVE and more like yourself than any other experience. Those very feelings, ARE MORE THAN MERE FEELINGS! they are very loud, very important, Very REAL signs that those dream are actually YOUR DESTINY! It is hard to keep faith and easy to loose yourself, when all around you, smothered by, surrounded by, bear witness to, and often made to feel by most people and experiences, lost, uncomfortable, board, frightened, alone and uninspired. But YOU NOW BETTER. So trust in your dreams. hold on to them, they never let you go. Not even YOU can stop your beautiful destiny. Anything is fucking possible…IF you believe.

Exams can be traumatic. They can sometimes lead to strange homicidal urges. No, really. Here are 10 tips on how to avoid killing those around you while you prepare for those examinations. You may not pass the exams but at least it may mean that the chair on which you sit in the future is not of the electric variety.

Panic

Most exam guides will tell you to try not to do this. But do, please. Take time out to run to the most isolated place (to avoid the quizzical stares of family and friends) that you know and scream your head off with sheer, unadulterated panic. Go wide-eyed and frenzied, howl at the skies, and scramble around in the mud. Then get over it. Quickly. After you have run around like a headless chicken for a while it gets tiring, tedious and can lead to stays of indeterminate periods in secure institutions. The time is ripe, after this first mindless outburst, to take stock of the situation and do some serious planning. It will also substantially decrease the likelihood of you committing homicide in the run up or aftermath of your examinations. Ultimately, remember that exams are not the end of the world. This is.

P&P: Planning and Preparation

Murder, done well, is always planned. Strange how they call it malice aforethought, shouldn’t it be ‘malice with lots of thought’? Yet, so it is with examinations. If you do not know the exact dates of your exams, find them out. This may induce a physiological condition in your primary educator know as ‘sarcsasmo perplexus’ where they will utter phrases which they think are laden with irony (but that would be ‘ironia perplexus’) wondering why the question is only now being asked. The condition is temporary (even though the eyebrows may take some time to recede from the bald patch) and if you can convince them that you are (starting to) become serious about passing your exams, you will have achieved an important step (see also Make a Timetable).

Next, set out a timescale, by yourself, which indicates when each exam is and separate the days between them. Work out how long you have got until each exam. Find out what days of the week they are on and what time. Do not panic, that is past (see Panic!). Do not involve your parents in this. These are your exams, not theirs and you must take ownership and responsibility for them. However, as expletives often offend try and be talk reasonably with them about what their role should be (see Get People On Side). Things can get out of hand without civility and matricide and patricide are considered serious crimes in many states. Neither will your sentence be reduced if you claim exam pressure as an extenuating circumstance.

Attitude

Some times you just have to smile, grit your teeth and get on with it. If you are serious about passing these exams then the correct attitude is a must. First of all, you must believe that you are at least capable of passing. Many institutions have league tables and if they thought you incapable they would not have entered you for these exams in the first place. Otherwise their results would look bad and yes, to them, these exams are as much if not more about their results than yours. So, although your teachers may come across as idiots, preserved in the amber of the eighties or even before, they have at least got this bit right. Plus this may reduce any desire you have to eradicate them. Without a formal word for killing teachers we will call your potential failure a famicide to them, go look it up. So, from this ever so slightly cynical point of view, you can and you will pass these exams.

If you are going to get all full of angst about these exams then it really won’t be any good for anyone. Occasional moments of breathless terror are fine, as long as they are only occasional. You must try and get over these by returning to the fact – you can pass. Murdering your teachers will not help but a good attitude will. Besides, for every time the thought of killing your math teacher has passed gently through your head the likelihood is that the reverse has passed through theirs the same amount of times but to a factor.

Make a Timetable of Action

It is probably a sad fact that timetables of one sort or another will run (and ruin) your life for the next fifty years. You may as well get used to the fact which may sound like heartlessness. Oh, sorry, that’s exactly what it is. You should set out a timetable (or even a tick list) of what should or must be revised for each exam. If you are reading this with two hours to go before the exams then go back to point number one. Stay there. Forever.

If you haven’t gone back to the first point then you should next make a timetable of what you must cover in each subject. Make sure that you cover each of the main parts of the curriculum in your plan. Be careful, though, you can overdo it. The revision, in the end, is more important than the timetable. If you are unsure what should be covered, return to the second point and ask your teacher. They do generally see a question asked several times as a sign of an enquiring rather than a stupid mind, even if you are. Besides, they get paid to answer questions. They don’t let people know this as often as they perhaps should.

Sharing ideas is important here. Take in to account that you must choose your revision buddies carefully. Choosing those with whom you will study and share ideas is vital to a death-free exam period.

Get People On Your Side

If you get people on side, especially your close relatives or friends, you will find that they will respond to your requests in much the same way that slaves of Roman Emperors once did. Quickly and without question. You may not get your every single whim satisfied but it will give you a sense of control that will be of great psychological help in getting through this tiresome period. Be diplomatic as the difference between household chore activities being suspended for this period, a constant supply of snacks being delivered and not may depend on this. Remember, too, the ultimate fate of the likes of Jabba the Hutt – don’t overdo the ‘treating parents as slave girls’ thing.

Also, use your language in an Orwellian a manner as possible. Snacks for example, should be referred to as ‘revision aids’ when you request them: people get used to new terminology very quickly. If you convince people (even for a short time) that you are a responsible and mature young adult rather than a kid who has no plan and who will fail then you are much more likely to have your relatives in a state of domestic servitude for the duration. If persuading them of your new find maturity seems unlikely, then just try to convince them that you have finally joined the ranks of that species known as Homo sapiens. It still may work. Plus there will much be less chance of an ‘Agatha Christie Moment’ with a candlestick in the kitchen.

Past Papers and Exam Reports

Those study books you can find down the mall may be of some use, but nothing beats looking at past papers. They may not, no, silly, will not have the questions you will have to answer yourself but if you look closely at three or more you will see a pattern emerge in the type of question asked and the ways in which they are asked. If your teacher cannot give you any, then search online. Many exam boards provide past papers. You may also come across revision forums which will hook you up with like minded people and provide you with notes on the bits you have missed.

This may sound uber nerdy, but see if you can find the examiner reports for the last time these papers were taken. Most examining bodies are required by law to release a report on how the last session went and they can be quite revelatory. Often they will talk about trends in answers and mistakes most commonly made. Once you know what they are you will realize whether you are making these mistakes yourself and can work towards putting this right. A little reseacrh can spare some additional time up for gaming – or any other hobby you may have. Additionally, they may reduce the urge towards parricide but they will not, unfortunately stop those voices in your head. They are something quite different.

Take Time Out and Revisit Stuff

If you settle in for an extended five hour revision session the chances are that after the first hour you will take in nothing more. This is because there is a part of your brain that is similar in a way to the RAM on your PC. In it, stuff is stored for short periods of time and it is thrown away if it is not needed again in the near future. Like your RAM there is a limit to the information it can take in. While you are revising, make short notes that cover the essential points. After an hour or so, take some time out. Time this period to coincide with something that you want to do, for example go watch a TV show.

Take the notes with you and once the show is over, pass the notes to the semi-recumbent but hopefully not semi intoxicated family member or friend on the couch next to you and ask them to quiz you on its contents. If they are a parent, no doubt they passed their exams many years ago and are in full possession of their, well, diplomas. This may or may not precipitate a discussion on the subject where you actually learn more but it will certainly tell you what your RAM has retained. Return to your revision area and go over what you did not remember. The information in your RAM will hopefully go in to your ROM pretty soon.

This is only one example – apply this principle creatively. It is important, however, to take short breaks between study periods. After five hours of revision without a break you are much more likely to commit a heinous crime than with four hours of revision and four fifteen minutes breaks. And if your parents have a friend called Fletcher, Miss Jessica Fletcher, seriously, take breaks.

Choose your Revision Buddies Carefully

If a friend of yours is determined to fail these exams, either through over confidence (‘I know it all already’) or sheer bloody mindedness (‘f**k this, man!), then drop them. Don’t worry about the long term repercussions – if they are your true friends they will come back to you after the exams. If not, you will have discovered one of those truisms in life – that those who are determined to fail always (like misery) prefer to have company on their downward spiral to the unemployment office.

Watch out for those who exhort strongly (usually accompanied by wails) that they have done no revision. This is a clever strategy usually implemented by those who revise for a zillion hours each night in order to give others a false sense of communal security. Pay attention to them and they will get their straight A grades while you fail and then contemplate amicicide. Perhaps that should be ex-amicicide (the killing of an ex-friend).

You could always give the class nerd (swot, clever dude, whatever you call them) a call and ask for some revision time together. Conversely, if a friend is struggling but truly is trying their best, then rope them in too. Either way, what this involves will be peer group teaching and learning, which is a good way of either being informed or informing. It also helps to diversify your revision methodology. Or, as Jennifer Anniston will tell you, will help give you a variety of different ways in which to check and build on your knowledge. Variety is, after all, the spice of this thing we call life.

Choose Where You Revise Carefully and Be Careful with Your Diet

Home is the best place to revise but it has to be acknowledged that sometimes it may be the worst. Depending on the amount of younger siblings you have, the support you receive from your parents and the size and place of your room, it maybe a better option to try and find somewhere else to do the work you must in order to pass. Several or more visits to the local library may avoid bloodshed at home. It is unlikely that your local law enforcement agency will allow you to do the exam, even in handcuffs.

Also, there is such a thing as brain food. By moving your diet towards fresh fruit, vegetables and clever meat like fish and away from E-numbers and foods high in saturated fat and sugars you will find that as your body becomes cleaner inside then your mind will become fresher for longer periods. Incidentally, fries and those green gherkin things in a Big Mac do not constitute vegetables (fresh or otherwise).

Being careful with the above may help you to avoid familicide.

Be Cynical but Not Jaded

Cynicism – well measured – is not too bad a thing when it comes to exams. After all, these exams are measuring your performance against not only those you know but those you do not – your whole nation possibly. If you think this is an irrelevance in terms of where you are at the moment, this may be true but think again. One day it will be wholly relevant and pretty important and when that day comes – and it will, believe me – you will care. Recognize the fact that to you as an individual, right here, right now exams may not mean much or anything but that here there is a massive but (one ‘t’ you chucklehead).

This is it. Future you will care a whole heap. So try and disallow your (only natural you great big bag of teenage hormones) cynicism from spoiling your chances in the future. Suicide isn’t usually painless, honestly, but it can take a long time as well. Remember, too, that after the exam period you will usually have a period of time off, whether it is a few weeks or even a few months. Work now so you do not have to spend the time off worrying abut your results. Oh happy happy, joy joy to be ending on a high note.

Another End Note

Of course this is not and never was an attempt to guarantee you exam success. Only you can do that, you are your own only guarantee. However, the author hopes that in some small way he has relieved some of your worries and contributed to lowering the number of exam related homicides in this beautiful but sometimes violent world we inhabit. Sigh.

All you need to do to study effectively is just hard work and this guide.

Follow the given guidelines if you really want to gain what you can.

1. As usual make a time- table and live on it but while you write anything in your time table just don’t make the work too lengthy. ex- write like this-’ make notes on Biotechnology’ rather than writing ‘ Study science’.

2.Study with full concentration even if you study for a little time. Increase your concentration by doing yogic practices.

3. Take study as your frtiend not your enemy.

4. Study in a place where you can face least distractions.

5.Make notes- this is the most helpful part. You should study notes while revising for Exams, this saves a lot of time.

6. Proper revision is a must.

7.Be positive.

8.Do not panic. You are not alone.

9. Take help of your friends in solving problems and revision.

10. Take short bursts while studying and entertain yourself during the break but do not cheat yourself.

11. Exercise daily for a fit mind and an confident approach.

12. During studying when you feel bored close your eyes and concentrate on your breath. Breath slowly.

13. You can study using flash cards also.

At last i wish you all the best in all your endeavors

A few things to do if you think your in a house that is haunted. This article might also help if you think you're being "stalked" by a demon. Better not to read this in an actual haunted house, things might happen...

First of all i urge you if you are reading this in a house you suspect is haunted, then get out of the house and go somewhere populated i.e. Library. This “guide” is basically made up of lists for things to watch out for, and things to not do)

To start off here are some things to look for:

You saw an object moving by itself. (Very obvious, unless it happens when you aren’t looking.)

You are in a big house. (By big, I mean BIG, this is usually an expensive house/town home)

You are in an old house. (If the floors are creaky then you are most likely in an old house)

You witnessed/heard a door open or shut on its own. (Too obvious to list details.)

You are usually alone. (This includes pets, as they are usually an annoyance to demons/ghosts)

You notice TVs/Radios going haywire for no apparent reason. (Walkie talkies placed in a baby’s room are a great example, as they show if it goes nuts because of noise or something else)

You hear an extremely loud noise of which you can not figure out the reason for its occurrence. (Something banged on a wall, but nothing was near the wall at the time)

Demons are much more presistant than ghosts, if any of the above happened more than once, it will happen again and become more violent if it is a demon. Ghosts usually try to rest in peace, demons like to stir up trouble.

If you notice any of these things do not panic, make sure it has been repeated or something else above has occurred.

Here are somethings you should not do:

Don’t taunt whatever is haunting your house, especially a demon.

Don’t set up a camera. (This can also taunt whatever is in your house)

Don’t let any family members access your house.

Don’t go to a family member’s house. (Demons can go for them to scare you)

Do Not stay in the house, even if you have to sleep in a car.

Do Not try to find out why your are being haunted by communicating (ex: Ouija board, try google instead)

Please read this:

Do not be afraid of what i have said, you might experience something i have said above, but trust me it might be your imagination. Do not let your mind control you, mind over matter is something you might have to learn and accept. If under any circumstances of the above stated you truly believe you (yourself) are being haunted, then contact a demonologist. Do NOT let them into your house! Go to them personally. Letting one in your home will

Most likely not solve much. (The demon will probably scare him/her away)

It will make the demon angrier as this is a form of taunting the demon.

If you think it is the actual house that’s haunted, try to contact someone holy to preform an exorcism. (Becareful as it has been said not to work before). Depending on your religion, there are a variety of things to do. Switching religion might actually help, as some people believe some religions do not protect from evil, in short it is a false religion. Don’t go around switching from religion to religion though, as you must truly believe in a religion to notice a difference when you try to make the spirits leave. Some people also state that there are virtually no way to get rid of demons. So going to a website that states why demons might haunt a specific person might help in finding out if your haunting is demon related.

Again, as i have stated above, don’t let anything i have said go to your head. This will most likely cause you to see things that really did not happen.

Good luck in finding a way to get rid of what ever you think is in your home. Be Brave…

Act of Terrorism Defines

By

S J Tubrazy

Act of terrorism would cover actions which caused or were calculated to cause alarm, fright, dread, panic, horror and fearfulness etc.

In order to ascertain the true connotation of the term “terrorism” the following are being referred:‑

Black’s Law Dictionary, 1968, Revised Fourth Edition at page 1643:‑

“Terror. Alarm: fright; dread, the state of mind induced by the apprehension of hurt from some hostile or threatening event or manifestation; fear caused by the appearance of danger. In an indictment for riot it must be charged that the acts done were ‘to the terror of the people’.

Chambers’ 20th Century Dictionary, 1983, New Edition, at page 1335:‑

“Terror, extreme fear, a time of, or government by, terrorism; an object of dread; one who makes himself a nuisance “

Webster’s Collegiate Thesaurus, 1988, at page 579:‑

“terror , fear alarm, consternation, dismay, dread, fright, horror, panic,, trepidation are fearfulness.

Legal Thesaurus by W.C. Burton at page 999:‑‑‑

“Terror‑fear, panic, phobia, trepidation”

“Terrorism anarchy, lynch law”

“Terrorist‑assailant, criminal”

“Terrorize ‑ bait (harass), coerce, endanger, frighten, harass, intimidates, threaten. “

Eugene v. Walter has defined terrorism as a process of terror involving elements: ‘the act or threat of violence, the emotional reaction and the social effects, (Walter, E.V., Terror and Resistance, New York, Oxford University Press, 1977, p. 14.

R.K. Sinha has defined terrorism as the use of violence when its most important result is not only the physical and mental damage to the direct victims but also the psychological effect produced on someone else. (R.K. Sinha; Crimes Affecting State Security) Deep & Deep Publications, New Delhi.

A scrutiny of the above definitions would reveal that acts of terrorism cover actions which cause or are calculated to cause alarm, fright, dread, panic, horror, fearfulness etc.

This is a tutorial on how to hold your breath underwater and increase your time by at least one minute.

Okay when i was 12 years old i went on a cruise ship with my parents and this man was in the pool and i noticed he had been underwater for at least 5 minutes. When he came up i asked him how he did it and he told me these simple tips.

1st – Calm your body and breath in and out very deep and slowly for about 2 minutes.

2nd – Grab one last breath and plung under, remember you only need to have your mouth and nose underwater, theres no need to swim to the ocean floor.

3rd – use an object to hold yourself down, try to use your muscles at least as possible because when you do you muscles use up oxygen and you wont be able to go under for as long.

4th – Close your eyes and find “your happy place” dont think about your breath just picture yourself in a calm place.

5th – When your starting to panic dont wiggle and tussel, this will only use up more oxygen, try to stay as calm as possible and dont let go up until your going to explode, think about it you only need to lift your head up your not going to die…

Even panic fear can be overcome through training.
energetic carting of the nerves.

Some people panic fear of heights or dogs, and other knees tremble at the thought that should the threshold of the dentist’s office.

Fears are many and varied. Unfortunately many of the tablets against the fear there, but why do we overcome it through training, psychologists say.

At the heart of trainings lies energetic carting of the nerves method that allows assessment of activity of the various divisions of the cerebrum. Unlike functional MRI imaging (tomography by nuclear magnetic resonance) energetic carting of the nerves completely safe procedure, allowing effective correction of fear.

The head of the patient are placed special sensors and the monitor screen to monitor what takes place in his cerebrum. Initially, the patient learn how to relax, whose quality of relaxation is also estimated using equipment.

Doctor, asking specific diagnostic questions, draw a circle of situations that cause fear of the patient. With the help of a computer all inherent human fears are arranged in a sequence of the strongest to weaker.
When the patient’s brain is in a state of complete lethargy, the doctor leads him to describe at least it frightening situation. This procedure continues until the human brain does not learn to remain completely weakened at the moment of mental experience of horror. Then the procedure is repeated for the next terrible situation.

Energetic carting of the nerves method is considered with great prospects. According to experts with its help can be increased and the efficiency of the process of educating students and pupils to raise the level of training in athletes and to develop resistance to stress.
