Setting up a Paranormal Investigation Team.

The truth is a ghost hunting team can be made up of one person. Many a ghost Hunter started out by themselves. I will tell you the truth, and that is that once they realized what they got themselves into, they made sure to find others with the same interest to go and hunt with them. The truth is, no one should hunt on their own. It is okay to be in a certain place by yourself while hunting, as long as you are in contact with someone else on the team. This is done for many reasons, not the least of them the possibility of spiritual danger. It is also done for physical safety. Again, I emphasize the fact that most ghost hunting is done in places that can be dangerous, and it is always good to have someone else with you. Most ghost hunting is done at night when there are not a lot of people around, and that could put some of you in a dangerous situation, depending on where you are hunting.

Before beginning a hunt, a ghost hunting team needs to know what personnel they have on hand and what their abilities are. It is important to know if someone has psychic ability are not, or if they are better working a camera and computers as opposed to physically investigating. Each member of the team is given a certain job, or jobs. It is essential that they do their job and do it to the best of their ability. If a team does not function as a team, it could be dangerous to the whole as well as the individual. Once each job is established, and each member of the team understands what will be expected of them by the others, then and only then are they ready to investigate. If there are computers or any other electronics that have to be set up, they should be set up prior to the beginning of the investigation. Once the investigation begins, everything needs to be in place and ready to roll. If this is done the investigation will go as planned. I say this with tongue-in-cheek as it is very common for an investigation to take on a life of its own. We must be ready for anything that may occur during the investigation. No two investigations are like. On one investigation everything may go smooth, and you may gather absolutely no evidence. On the other hand, another investigation may produce incredible amounts of evidence, and the spiritual action that takes place with it can seem extremely chaotic, and at times frightening. If any trainees go on an investigation they should always be with somebody who has experience. Never, never, leave a person alone who does not have experience, not even if they have a walkie-talkie and the means to stay in contact with the rest of the team. Ghost hunting should never be looked at as a game, because contrary to what the media portrays, it can be very dangerous. Most people who begin to ghost hunt either quit as soon as they find out that it is not a game, or they seek out someone who can educate them before continuing their pursuit. I hope that ghost hunting groups, and paranormal investigators will pick up this manual, if only to help train new, inexperienced investigators.

Most paranormal investigative teams have a life of their own, and find the best way to set up and perform investigations using the specific members and their talents. A simple investigation with three or four people may have one person at base, which will be will watching the video equipment, if video is being used, and usually they are the point man for communications. The rest of the team is usually broken up into teams of two and directed to a certain location in order to use the equipment on hand, and perform the investigative process. There are probably as many different ways of using teamwork during investigations as there are investigative teams. For this reason, I will leave this up to the individual teams to fill in the blanks in this area. For more information on equipment and the investigation itself, you can get the complete manual on Amazon.com “Ghost Hunting and Paranormal Investigation” by Phil Murphy.

Homes built on top of a cemetery may be cursed.

Just outside of Houston, Texas, is a neighborhood filled with upscale homes and manicured lawns. In the early 1980s, Sam and Judith Haney settled in at the far western edge of the development. Sam described it as their dream home:

“When we bought the house in Newport, it was the house that we had always been looking for. So, it was the house that we intended to stay at for a long period of time.”

But there was a morbid secret about the Haney’s perfect home, one that soon turned their lives into a never-ending nightmare. Sam said it all began when amysterious old man showed up at their door with an ominous warning:

“This elderly man told me that he had noticed that we were putting a swimming pool in our backyard and that there was something about our backyard that I needed to know about. So I followed him around to my backyard and he pointed at the ground and said that there are some graves right here. And he marked a spot on the ground where they were. And I really didn’t know how to react to that. I didn’t know if he was just joking. I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to joke about something like that.”

Using a backhoe, Sam decided to see if the man’s alarming claims were true. Sam says it wasn’t long before he hit something:

“And at that point, we stopped with the backhoe and we got down into the hole and continued digging by hand. There were pine boards. When we lifted up the first board, we could see an indentation of a skeleton form. It didn’t take long to figure out that it was actual human remains.”

Sam immediately called the Sheriff and county coroner who conducted an official exhumation. Most of the bones had turned to powder. But 25 fragments were found, some so brittle that they disintegrated when touched.

A second coffin, located alongside the first, hadn’t been disturbed. Inside, two wedding rings were discovered on the frail index finger of the exposed skeleton. Judith Haney was mortified by the discovery:

“They handed me the rings and it was sickening to think that I had desecrated somebody’s grave.”

Wanting desperately to do the right thing, the Haneys decided to find out whose remains were buried in their backyard. The search led them to a longtime resident named Jasper Norton.

Years earlier, Norton had dug several graves in the area. He told the Haneys that their home and a dozen others were built on top of an old African American cemetery called Black Hope. The deceased were mainly former slaves. The last burial was in 1939, and as many as 60 people were interred there in paupers’ graves.

he two people buried in the Haney’s backyard were Betty and Charlie Thomas. They died during the 1930s and their graves were eventually forgotten.

Judith and Sam Haney made an extraordinary decision. They reburied Betty and Charlie in their yard, and prayed their spirits would rest in peace. But, according to Judith, peace was not forthcoming:

“There was a clock in my bedroom and one night it started sparking and putting out a sort of blue glow.”

When Judith checked the clock, she found that it was unplugged. That was only the beginning of the Haneys’ ordeal. On another evening, Sam went to work the night shift, leaving Judith alone:

“I heard the sliding glass door open and I heard what I thought was Sam saying, ‘What you doing?’ Everything was quiet, the sliding glass doors were locked, and I thought, ‘Well, you know, you must be losing your mind. This really must be getting to you.’ But much to my amazement that’s not where the story ended. In the morning I awoke, went in my closet to get my red shoes, and I could not find them anywhere.”

Sam backed up Judith’s story:

“So, of course, I started looking for them and went through all of her closets where she normally puts things. And we just couldn’t find them. We had walked just a short distance from where the gravesites were and I could see something on the grave. And they were both side-by-side like someone had just picked them up and carried them over and laid them down on the gravesite.”

Even more disturbing to Sam was the realization that this was Betty Thomas’ birthday:

“And I kinda got the feeling that it was like Charlie was giving Betty a birthday present.”

Judith felt she knew what was going on:

“I began to come to the realization that this was not all in my mind and that this had to have some relationship to Betty and Charlie’s graves being disturbed. Their spirits were saying, ‘This isn’t right.’”

The Haneys were not alone. A dozen of their neighbors also reported lights, televisions and water faucets turning on and off, and unearthly sounds andsupernatural apparitions. Worse, these bizarre events were becoming malicious.

Like the Haneys, Ben and Jean Williams thought that they had found their suburban paradise when they moved into the same neighborhood. But Jean said she never felt at peace in the house:

“After we moved, in everything changed. When I tried to plant new plants, they just would not live no matter what I did. You know, fertilizer or whatever, they still would not live. And I constantly had a foreboding feeling, a feeling of things are not right or something bad is about to happen.”

The Williams said that near their flowerbed, sinkholes appeared in the unmistakable shape of a coffin. The Williams would fill them in, only to have them reappear a few days later. The Williams also felt their ideal home was being invaded by a menacing presence. Random shadows slid along the walls, followed by whispered words and a putrid smell.

At the time, the Williams’ granddaughter, Carli, lived with the couple. During the blazing heat of summer, Carli said she would stumble into bone-chilling pockets of ice-cold air:

“It would be very, very chilly and you’d have this feeling of foreboding, or just, you know, like something wasn’t right. Anywhere in the house you’d have a feeling that you were not alone. Somebody was watching you. It terrified me to be in the house by myself. The toilets used to flush on their own. As the water went down I could hear, it was almost like conversations. You could hear people murmuring to themselves. It was a presence or spirit or something there. Something that wanted to be heard. Wanted me to know that it was there.”

Jean Williams had no doubt as to the source of the disturbances:

“I absolutely believe that all of these things happened to us because we were on the graveyard, and that we were simply going to be tormented until we left there.”

Ben said he and Jean debated what to do next:

“Me and Jean, we talked it over. And she said, ‘Well what can we do? Walk off and leave it?’ She said, ‘We ain’t got enough money to pay down on another home.’ I said, ‘We’ve always been fighters. We’re gonna stay right here and fight it and try to beat it.’”

According to Ben, it wasn’t long before he got his chance:

“I came home from work around ten after twelve from the midnight shift, and I walked straight to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator door, and that’s when I seen these two ghostly figures. And they went straight backwards into the den. And then they started heading right down the hall to Jean’s. And it was standing right about a foot and a half from the end of the bed. The only thing I really thought of was, ‘They ain’t messing with me wife.’ As I dove through it, I felt a sticky cold sensation in my body.”

Down the street at the Haney’s, Judith said the disturbances caused her life to unravel:

“I was crying all the time. I was frightened. I was scared of doing my daily routine in my own home.”

The Haneys decided to fight back in court. They sued the builder for not disclosing that their home was built over a cemetery, in part, so that everyone would know what was happening at their subdivision. A jury awarded them $142,000 for mental anguish. But a reversal ruled on legal grounds that the developers were not liable. The verdict was thrown out and the Haneys were ordered to pay $50,000 in court costs. Sam Haney recounted the total cost of their ordeal:

“At that point we decided to file bankruptcy. All in all, we ended up losing the case, losing the money, losing the house.”

The Williams also explored legal recourse. But they say that they were told that without definitive proof of a cemetery on their property, nothing could be done. It was then that Jean made a decision that she will forever regret:

“That was the last straw. You want a body? I’ll show you a body. So, I thought to myself, I can dig about two feet a day and I knew I would reach a body.”

But soon after she started digging, Jean felt ill. Her adult daughter, Tina, volunteered to finish the job. After digging for a half hour, Tina also fell ill. Carli Karluk was there that day:

“I remember her saying that she was, that she felt funny. She was getting dizzy as well. She put the shovel down and she went back inside. And she just laid down on the couch. She’s like mom, daddy, I don’t feel right. There’s something wrong. The last thing I remember her saying was, ‘Mommy, take care of my baby, take care of my baby.’ And she looked so scared.”

While waiting for paramedics to arrive, Jean tried to keep her daughter conscious:

“Almost immediately her eyes started glazing over. And I was talking to her, trying to talk her out of dying. ‘Please Tina, talk to me.’ And all this time her eyes were changing until they got to the point where I knew that she wasn’t responding at all.”

Tina had suffered a massive heart attack. Two days later she died. Jean burdened the blame:

“I realize that I had desecrated another grave and now I’m paying. I told Ben, ‘We have to get out of here. It doesn’t matter what we lose, what we had.’ And I knew that if we didn’t, that I was not going to make it, because my fight was gone. I could fight no more.”

The Williams escaped to Montana and later moved back to another house and another neighborhood in Texas. Today they are a happily growing family, no longer plagued by mysterious noises, horrific apparitions or heart-breaking tragedies.

Back in their old neighborhood, none of the current residents have reported any paranormal activity. No one has ever been able to explain what happened to the Williams or the Haneys.

Review of the most scariest movie released in 2011, Paranormal activity three.

Author : Jonny Das

Paranormal activity, who doesn’t know about these film sequel, these are horror based film and people expected to get shock and paranormal activity 3 left no complain of doing it.Even though there isn’t much difference between the first two and the last part but still manage to keep the crowds together without being going cheeky or over the top and this consider to be the greatest strength of this movie.

Year 1988,the unfamiliar sound of his new house bound a wedding videographer to fit video cameras to capture paranormal activity. However his step daughter and his incredulous wife reluctant to have belief on paranormal activity despite all the proof was available to them..

The first two sequel has already explains how the story progresses, probably you are immune to the chill factors and fear since you know where it comes from.In this part it doesn’t wanna play any trick with any visual effect neither with some bigger sound quality but what it does it believes on the formula which they made into the other two sequel.Despite of all these and your self-assurance it still manages to sneak up on you and give u a shock at 240v a.c current.

Charlie Chaplin a legendary film maker in film industry and the best,&he will remain the best till the extinction of cinema from human civilization. The reason for this in that because his films clearly clarifies the importance of the purity of cinema and connect to the audience & squeeze the full emotion of it.What he did was fully based on comedy and the Paranormal Activity series does with horror.

But nevertheless how can some one forget Blair Witch Project the real game changer. But,the difference between two films of this series and Paranormal activity is that the former wanna put some extra and do something different in it own sequel, and latter completely denial to do so.

Playing the same tricks again which it has been played in the first one, or showing less or explaining as little as possible doesn’t necessarily means it gonna bored the audience but what it does to the film industry is that-simplicity,clarity ,purity and a strong foundation base of a film is sometimes makes more sense and connect audience in a greater way rather than some of the expensive budget films with visual effect and greater sound system.

Every sequel usually tries to better than the previous one, but surprising enough Paranormal had no such aspiration on that, the whole series simply believe of same old tricks to engage the audience and that’s why its feel so fresh, is indeed the most Paranormal Activity in the series.

Ghosts, Hauntings, paranormal - do you believe?

I have strong belief the haunting of homes by a spirit or ghost, as well as the supernatural and paranormal. I personally have had some strange experiences throughout my life, but let me tell you about my very first experience.

When I was in kindergarten, we lived in half of a house. We had a nice size back yard with a large storage area that almost looked like a garage, but I do not remember any vehicles ever being parked in it. At this time in my life, I was having a problem with wetting the bed at night, which went on until I was 8 years old. It was not that I did not know I had to go to the bathroom or even that I did not wake up in the middle of the night with the urge to go. It was because there was something standing in front of my bedroom doorway blocking my way out.

Since the lights were always out when I would see this thing, it just looked like a dark shadow-type image to me. I could never make out any facial features or clothing it might have been wearing. The best description I can give at this time is that this shadow looked like some type of ancient Egyptian statue, but I could tell it was definitely a male figure standing in the doorway as it looked to have a large weapon of some sort held in his hands. It seemed to me like it was guarding the doorway in some fashion. I cannot say that I ever heard it speak or move at any time, but something was definitely there. As a small child, upon awakening and seeing this image, I would decide that it was safer for me to just wet the bed than to attempt to get past whatever was standing in the doorway as I was simply terrified of it. I would then just fall back to sleep and the image would be gone when I woke up in the morning.

This same scenario went on every single night. Although I could not be certain, I kind of had the sense that whatever it was, it was not there to cause me any harm, but at the same time, it seemed apparent that it was not going to let me out of my bedroom either like a guard. As time went on, I actually gave it a name. I started calling it “Bobby.” I was convinced that he lived out back in that large garage-type shed. I would never go inside as I was scared to death.

I did not tell my parents about it right away or anyone else for that matter. As my parents grew more and more concerned as to why I would not stop wetting the bed, they confronted me demanding to know why I was doing it. I eventually told them what was going on. My father took me into the large shed in the back. He went in first and I followed. We searched for Bobby, but he was nowhere to be found. My father tried to convince me that there was nothing there, but I sensed his presence even though we could not actually see him. My parents tried to convince me it was only a plain shadow of some kind, but there was nothing outside my bedroom doorway to cast any shadow. I continued to wet the bed the whole time we lived in that house. It was not until we finally moved when I was 8 years of age that I finally stopped doing it.

Friggatriskaidekaphobia the Fear of Friday the 13th. Lets break it down like a fraction. Frigga the Norse goddess, whom “Friday” is named. Triskaidekaphobia the fear or morbid fear of the number 13. Kind of fitting on Friday January 13, 2012. this Phobia has origins back to Babylonian circa 1780 BCE. However documented reference occurs in 1869.

In nature, there is no perfect philosophy, perfect science, perfect religion, perfect knowledge, perfect human or a perfect plan. Nothing can be perfect in this man-made finite world. Everything in the universe is moving, expanding and changing. Irrespective of good and bad every movement is the cause for further development.

There is a basic difference between the static philosophy and moving philosophy, static God and moving God, static science and moving science, static tradition and moving tradition. One of the spiritual persons Basavanna once said, “There is destruction for what stands but not for that which moves”.

Whenever nature gives birth to new wonders in the world, be it in science, religion, tradition, or in something else it represents a moving character. Nevertheless, this moving character will not last for a long time because of our own static way of thinking. Whenever new research emerged in the history of humanity, it has maintained moving character in the beginning, but slowly it has lost the beauty of the moving character because of the orthodox interaction of our own finite mind. Nevertheless, the transformation of moving character to static character occurs only in human mind, not in nature.

In the western world, now there is a spiritual madness to dig out all the static philosophies of the ancient history. Some are talking on Tantra, some are talking on Yoga, some are talking on Vastu, and some are talking on mediation and so on. In fact, they are searching for the static shelter to compensate or to define their own lethargic way of life. Nevertheless, our ancient Sages, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Rama, Prophet and other prominent spiritual personalities emerged with moving philosophy; not with a static one, but who made it static? Ask yourself! Which philosophy, science, religion, culture, god and tradition you are representing? Is it a static one or a moving one? Vivekananda says, “Faith is not a belief; it is the grasp of the ultimate as illumination”.

When we realize that nothing can be perfect, we will be completely integrated with nature. For example, during the Tsunami attack in South East Asia on December 26, 2004, the wild animals had already moved to safer zones of habitat. They instinctively sensed danger. The question is how did they decode the signs of the impending danger sent by nature, when the entire scientific world failed to warn about the imminent threat of Tsunami? The reason is simple. We, unlike the animals, have disconnected ourselves from nature and travelled far in to the world of materialistic pleasure. We have long lost the power to decode the sensitive vibrations of nature. Whenever vibrations reach us we are busy adding our selfish meaning to it, but the animals have remained far more receptive to the natural science of creation. The animals do not question nature or impose selfish thinking to such an event, they merely accept it, and survive.

When you cradle yourself in the bosom of nature, it takes care of you. Learning is not a process of abandoning nature. Somewhere in the process of building our own egocentric world, we have fatally forgotten the source we come from. Nevertheless, nature neither forgets nor forgives. It just balances its own creation.

We like to think that our brains are the penultimate creation in the universe, but could we be missing something?

My dog is smart, man. I don’t mean save-Timmy-from-the-well smart, but still he’s pretty bright. He knows what he can get away with when nobody is looking, understands exactly when he can commit his misdeeds, or when it’s in his best interest to behave. He has an uncanny sense of timing when someone is expected to arrive home. He’ll sit near the door and wait. I don’t know how he’s aware. He doesn’t own a watch, and I’m not sure he can see the clock above the refrigerator. Yet, somehow he knows.

As smart as he is, he does have a few weak points. Sadly, he can’t understand even the most rudimentary concepts of algebra and geometry, and when I try to discuss the works of ancient philosophers with him all I get is a blank stare. He can learn a new command sometimes within minutes, but he has no grasp of the Pythagorean Theorem, no matter how many times we go over it.

It’s not because he’s lazy or fell in with the wrong crowd at doggy high school. It’s just how his brain is wired. He can understand some things really well, while others are simply beyond the scope of his biological makeup. In short: Dogs can’t do algebra.

It makes me wonder about humans. We like to think that our brains are the penultimate creation in the universe, that scientific laws as we understand them are infallible, and that if we can’t imagine something it isn’t possible. But maybe we need to stop and think: In the same way that dogs can’t do algebra, is it possible there are concepts we are simply incapable of understanding? It’s not that we’re not advanced enough, or don’t try hard enough; it’s simply that our brains are not wired in a way that we could grasp certain ideas. There are limitations to our mind that prevent us from understanding certain concepts.

Don’t bother to try to imagine what those concepts may be. You can’t imagine them, and that’s the point. Your brain doesn’t work that way. But this does raise some interesting questions. For one thing, if we accept the theory that there might be beings out there, somewhere, with far more brainpower than we’re capable of processing, doesn’t that raise the possibility that interplanetary travel could be easier than we think? Our hang-ups about extraterrestrial visitation really hinge on our understanding of science. Once that’s out the window, and once we embrace the possibility that there is science that we aren’t capable of understanding, all bets are off. Alien visitors may be able to travel here and take part in all kinds of bizarre activities that we literally can’t even fathom.

And what about other paranormal activity like ghosts or even the existence of God Himself? Anyone who argues against the existence of such beings usually does so while standing behind the shield of logic. If we dispose of the idea that our minds are the highest form of intelligence in the universe, we then need to discard logic as a valid opposition to such ideas. We need to give up our self-imposed crown as master of the universe, and open our minds to greater possibilities.

There lies problem. We’re an arrogant species, and we don’t like to think there might be some entity or creature out there with a bigger brain than we have. It’s scary to let to go, to embrace things that logic tells us are impossible, and believe in the unbelievable. Once we can do that, once we’re able to put aside our ego and embrace the possibilities of an endless universe, maybe that’s when many of the problems we’ve inflicted on ourselves will began to go away. Besides, my dog seems pretty content being blissfully in awe of the world around him.

The idea that we can live after death as another person--maybe a famous singer or be born in a different country--is intriguing and, for me the idea is not only highly appealing, the idea is freaking awesome. Do you think that you may have lived a past life? Do you believe in Karma, spiritual lessons and the fact that you can be born again?

There are people who don’t believe in past lives, karma and reincarnation. But we should be more open-minded. There is so much information about the universe, about our minds, that is so mysterious to comprehend. Is there any truth to it? Is this just an idea to stop feeling scared about the after life? A fantasy? Or is there real evidence?

Small Children And Past Lives

Believe it or not, kids don’t make up stuff. For example, highly respected scientists, investigators and researchers studied millions of memories of young children between the age of 3-9, who had vivid memories of previous lives, and spoke about past lives in great detail.

Hypnosis and regression therapy

Hypnosis has never been a valuable tool to find out about past lives. Hypnosis can reach the unconscious mind, but it’s believed that the information kept there by our brains is not real. It has been discovered that the hypnosis can create false memories. That doesn’t mean, however, that this technique should be discarded. If the past life information given by the person under hypnosis can be verified by doing some research, their stories can be considered more serious if there’s some evidence to back up their claims.

Deja Vu or Spontaneous Recall

It’s hard to explain to others that you get the feeling that you’ve been somewhere before. There are all sorts of experiences and many people tend to believe they are real–they’ve lived before in other bodies, cultures, and centuries.

Conclusion

Past life recall is one of the most bizarre cases of paranormal phenomena. As yet, we haven’t been able to prove or disprove the evidence. Many scientists are unsure whether the information given by some people was somehow given by the subconscious. Unfortunately, there is the possibility of fraud and it’s very important to be skeptical about claims, but the stories will always be fun to read and hear.

An in depth look at a paranormal group out of California.

East Valley Paranormal was officially founded in 2007 by Jamie Dwyer, Brian Dwyer, and Heather Wexler. The purpose in starting this was to expand on what they were seeing within the community and to help others while continuing their research in the field.

There are currrently 4 members. EVP has 3 core members and the newest member is Brittany. They do accept new members. They will usually set up a meeting with the individual and decide if they are a good fit for the team. EVP is located in Southern California. There is not a set distance they will travel when going out to an investigation, but will always depend on the case.

EVP has a certain style to their investigations. It does depend on the location and they have certain rules that they abide by for safety and for general common sense.

wear appopriate clothing: comfortable shoes, pants, etc…Nothing that would catch on equipment or will interfere with the investigation.

Do not use perfumes or strong lotions.

Turn off cell phones, as they interfere with K-II meters/EMF detectors.

Be respectful to fellow investigators during evp sessions, allow time between questions for responses.

Be aware of oyur surroundings.

Always let your fellow investigators know if you need to leave the current location for any reason.

Investigation protocols will depend on the location and situation. Certain locations call for measures to be taken such as historical locations. It is important to always be respectful of your clients too.

EVP has done too many investigations to count.

They only use handheld equipment. They like to leave a little trace of them being in a location. They also use intuitive tools and there are several members with empathic and intuitive abilities. They try to use their individual strengths and abilities to back up scientific evidence.

Their main focus for investigating and research is the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.

Check out EVP by visiting them on their website. You can find them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. If you have questions you can also email them.
