Looking for what’s right is a life-enhancing choice–a choice that promises peace, contentment, and fulfillment.

It’s easy to look for what’s wrong. For most of us, this is our default way of viewing the world. We are experts at describing in great detail what isn’t right about our jobs, our mothers, our relationships, our teachers, our children, our bodies, our government, and our bank accounts. When we look for what’s wrong, we choose to view our lives through the narrowest possible lens, zooming in on the places where our expectations haven’t been met, where others have failed to meet our needs, where the world doesn’t look the way we have decided it should. When we’re looking for what’s wrong, our eyes focus on the negative qualities of others, spotting their weaknesses and their incompetencies.

In addition to immediately shifting our perspective and thus our mood, what this question does is show us that maybe–just maybe–what’s wrong is not “over there” with others. Maybe the problem lives not outside us but rather in our own lenses, the ones through which we choose to view the world. We can easily argue against this point and say that our spouses are wrong, that our bosses are wrong, and that the waitress who brought the wrong kind of salad dressing is wrong, too. But what we can be assured of is that if we look for what’s wrong in any given situation, we will find it. And then our experience will be one of disappointment and discontent.

The moment we find something wrong, we automatically point our fingers in blame at the other person or the situation. It’s so easy to find fault. Finding fault with others is the lazy person’s out. I’ve done it a million times myself. I’ve pointed my finger at others instead of taking responsibility for the reality I see. I have been guilty of blaming my boss, my boyfriend, my coach, and even my mother for my discontent. Making others wrong becomes an excuse we use to justify our moods and bad behavior. By focusing on what’s wrong, we avoid taking responsibility. . . .

When we are looking for what’s right, we invite life to shower us with all its many gifts. Looking for what’s right opens our hearts and allows us to live in a state of gratitude for what we have. It lets us appreciate the little things that bless us every day. It causes us to stop taking for granted the many gifts in our lives. Just think of all the things we have to be grateful for!

We must all ask ourselves what would happen if we changed the lens through which we view the world. How would our lives alter if we saw out co-workers as divine beings who are here to impart essential wisdom to us? What would happen if we listened to our neighbors as though they were the wisest people in the world? Would they show up any differently than they do right now? What would be possible if we approached our partners as though their soul purpose was to bring us ecstasy and joy? What would we hear? What would we see? What would be possible? Looking for what’s right is a life-enhancing choice–a choice that promises peace, contentment, and fulfillment.

I have seen a system, a new system. A system to do away with the infections and regrets of this current an old system. A system where the currency for all is the currency of love. Where the only social class that exist is the class of equality. A system where all exist and live in peace and universal harmony, Where balance is the scale the governs all, Where justice is the law that protects all, Where order is the chisel that structures all, Where the earth, Mother Earths umbilical cord stretches to all her children and provides for them.

A dream of mines today.

A system where a powerful overwhelming light shines but comes not from the sun to hit the earth, but from the earth, from us to hit the universe. The one light that exist in all, and all in it. The light that comes from the one true source. The one light that is the essence of our soul our human spirit, the same human spirit that is being crushed right now as i write. Knowledge and understanding is needed to life the veil of darkness from our reality. The darkness has poisoned the world with its hate and greed, its corruption, its lies and unrighteousness.

But sure is our road to the destination of all destinations.

A ‘Me” Agenda
Be Specific
What Is Evil?

A ‘Me” Agenda

One of my friends just said, “I’ll take care of my family and you take care of yours, I won’t ask you to do my job, please don’t ask me to do yours. If you can’t take care of a family, please don’t have one.” On the surface, this is true. However, when your financial existence and stability is predicated on the greedy and underhanded actions of ruthless and unscrupulous people, the truth needs to be further examined. Let’s examine the whole truth. Let’s not ship jobs overseas so that cheap products can be sold to us that don’t have the same value and longevity as products made here. Our politicians and corporate executives have sold us out for their own gain. When our representatives and our biggest suppliers screw us, the argument presented above has a completely different tone. People who have families and mortgages have lost their homes believing in the American dream that was sold out to profit and the bottom line. Ruthless and greedy people with a ‘me’ agenda. We can best serve others by educating people to seek balance and order instead of manipulation to satisfy their greed. It’s not just about America and the people here; it’s about ALL of us. We should live within our means and our means are determined by our social and economic progress. When our own people sell us out for the bottom line, the whole world hurts; not just America! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Be Specific

The general essence of being vague is being quite specific in your ambiguities. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

What Is Evil?

What is evil? It is something morally wrong or bad, wicked or characterized by the expression of evil deeds. It is described as something that is harmful or injurious usually accompanied by states of misfortune or suffering. It is a state believed to occur outside of oneself from ‘other’ forces that create misfortune and disastrous conditions. It is due to the actual or imputed bad conduct or character of a person marked by anger, irritability, irascibility, ultimately affecting a person’s disposition [dictionary.com]. Is it a belief or a state? It is a state that results from the belief in its condition. There are many people that can be described as psychopathic, sociopathic or just downright evil. But how did they get this way? Their behavior is a result of what they observe in their world and what they believe they have to do to live within in it. It is based on an attitude of fear that their ego experiences. They have to control, dominate and manipulate everything in their environment to affect selfish changes based on greed and an attitude and perception of lack and limitation. Evil is a result of a complete attitude of separation from all of creation. It is more concerned with ‘me’ than with ‘us’. Pray for those who are lost in this state but don’t allow them to affect your state. Put them in their place by standing firm on who you are, how you need to be treated and what they need to do in order to exist in peace with you. If they reject what you demand, then remove yourself from their egotistically perceived sphere of influence. If they come after you, allow their anger and desire to hurt you pass through you without their attitude of ‘evil’ to affect you. This will discharge their negative energy and their perceived control over you and create a state of grace and peace within you that protects you with a shield of love. Evil cannot exist in the light of love. It ALWAYS seeks the darkness because that is where it can deceive and confuse the seekers of truth. Remove yourself from evil’s projection by accepting the grace of God to create the peace within you to live in an ongoing state of love, honor and respect. It is your choice to allow evil to exist in your life or squelch its perceived power over you. Trust God to guide you to a state of realization where evil no longer has any hold over you. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

My prayer for YOU: Make the time each and every day to go within and feel the presence of the Spirit of God. Be the co-creator you are by living in the now. Give of yourself to others and experience the avalanche of love from the Divine bringing you health, wealth prosperity and abundance. It is your birthright to live in joy, peace and understanding each and every day of your life. Peace, joy, understanding and love be with you always! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

In this article I write about the need for every conservative and traditional values individual to promote and vote for Mr. Romney.

I was a substantial critic of Mr. Milt Romney during 2008 and 2012 republican primaries. It is still of great importance to me that political leaders have great honor and integrity. During Obama’s experimentation with social reengineering we have learned how dangerous fascist are in any society.

I am not saying my problem with Mr. Romney was that he was a fascist. I have written I could not trust a person who changes his beliefs regularly. However, I am smart enough to see how democrats out voting republicans in republican primaries has brought us Traditional Values people and conservatives to the choice of Milt Romney.

The reality is that America is in great danger. The issue is no longer Mitt Romney. The issue is the death of America through Socialist fascism.

Obama does not know better than most of us. Obama’s accomplishments are his healthcare reform and spending 7 trillion dollars. Obama and his bureaucrats are using Obama-care to interfere with the religious liberties of religious organizations. Obama-care is an extreme financial burden on individuals, organizations, and companies. The interest on monies Obama borrowed are increasing the American debt everyday

Mr. Mitt Romney is a better leader. His resume is the resume of a talented proven leader. He knows how to cut spending (including employees) in order to save a company. He will be able to downsize government and save tax payers money.

I have written that the relationship between government and the citizens is a delicate balance between governing and freedom. Mr. Romney understands that it is not governments’ job to manage, orchestrate, or run the American free enterprise system. Governments exist to administrate government departments and protect the public welfare.

Threats to the public welfare have to be legitimate not perceived threats. Capital investment is not a legitimate threat to Americans. Investments fuel business start-ups, which in turn fuel job growth and economic growth.

For too long the liberal democrats have been brainwashing Americans in to hating the American free enterprise system. Since Obama took office he has been criticizing chief executive officers, Wall Street, and other symbols of the successful American economy.

Yet all these ingredients are necessary for a prosperous economy and successful people. We need not give up on ourselves. Everything that is, was, and will be is still possible.

Freedom fuels the greatness that decent and good people can create. Even in these troubling times I believe that the majority in any people group are good and decent people. The average person does not believe that his or her success is invested in how much he or she can take from his or her neighbor.

Only Obama and his kind think in such foolish terms. Who spent the US into great debt? That would Mr. Barak Hussein Obama. The rich, successful, and wealthy people of America did not borrow and spend America into the current economic mess.

Furthermore, I have no problem in supporting Mr. Romney. I had the opportunity of watching Mr. Romney’s speech at Liberty University (my Alma matter) and this morning I saw Mr. Romney’s speech to the Hispanic Economic Coalition.

These were great speeches focusing on the public policy initiatives that will lead America out of this current economic mess. Low taxes, low government spending, and low government regulation will allow for greater investment in American and Americans.

However, do not be fooled. I have my eyes wide open, looking for any signs of wavering by Mr. Romney. If I see any wavering on ultra conservative issues, I will report it. My report will not be to knock Mr. Romney down, but to help him improve as a servant of the people.

I want Mr. Romney to win because America will win. I am fully aware of the challenge. Liberals are resorting to all their tricks. The network news is liberal. These liberals are manufacturing polls to make Obama appear more attractive and to demoralize conservatives.

This is why every voter is going to be necessary. Traditional Values and conservatives have to vote and help promote and market Mr. Romney.

America was built on the tradition of the potential behind freedom. I heard Mr. Biden, vice president of the US, retort that liberals dream and want personal success. It is apparent liberals want to be the only ones that have their dreams come true.

I am not a slave of Obama. I was born free and will die a free man. It is impossible to remain free when Obama wants to take everything I earn.

Let us have a mature and serious conversation on petty envy. My life is not defined by how much more my neighbor has than I have in life. This is Mr. Obama’s campaign in a nutshell. In this year’s presidential election, Mr. Obama cannot campaign on Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, the national debt, tax reform, and illegal immigration reform.

Afghanistan is a mess. The US has no influence in Iraq. Egypt, Libya, and all the other Arab nations who went through the Arab spring are now under Muslim extremist’s control, i.e. Iran’s control. The residents of Gitmo were not giving civilian trials and Gitmo was not closed down. Ninety five percent of Americans did not get their Obama promised tax cut. Obama did not cut the deficit in half. He doubled the deficit. During Mr. Obama’s first two years the democrats were in charge of the Legislative branch and the Executive branch and did not bother to construct one immigration reform bill. To date Mr. Obama has not issued any immigration reform public policy.

However, there are still people high on the novelty presidency of Obama. We cannot allow this man to ruin America. I have set aside my concerns about Romney. America is more important than my personal held belief system. In addition, Romney is not a deviant. Mr. Romney is educated and has excellent experience administrating large systems, such as the Olympics. Mr. Romney is also a person with high moral character. Any one when compared to Obama has high moral character.

Therefore, please get involved in building a better tomorrow for all Americans. Vote republican for president and congress. In addition, get involved in the Romney optimistic and positive public relations effort.

This article will never solve all the world's problems, but maybe it can start with one and create a chain reaction.

Although most children will deny that they need structure, that is one of the best things we can give our children. As a parent and teacher, I have learned that children do not only need structure, they want it. From the age of birth to adulthood, young people need structure and discipline in their lives. We have to strive to incorporate those things so that our youth will grow up to be mature, well-rounded individuals.

The main purpose of raising children, or teaching children, is to let the children know that you love them, but you will be strict and expect them to do the right thing. Even if everyone else is doing wrong, they are expected to do the right thing. My first rule of teaching and my household is that “Life isn’t fair.” Some people get by doing things and never get caught, but wrong is wrong, and I expect better of my children and my students. I have learned that, even though children get mad and sulk when they do not get their way, they respect someone who will stand up for what is right. It may not always seem fair, but if a parent and teacher is consistent with discipline, children will always understand their expectations.

Rewards are also cherished when handed out sparingly. Children should be verbally commended for doing good and being a good person, but doing right should be something that a child does because it is “the right thing to do…not for a reward.” Once in a while, I will catch a student helping someone else, and I will give them a piece of candy, or let them go to lunch early, and it is amazing how much high school children appreciate such small rewards. It also encourages others around them to stop and think about positive ways to help others and be a genuinely good person.

Sometimes, all we need to remind us that there are good people in the world, is to see one person doing good. Then, it sparks something in ourselves to want to do something good for someone else, and then it starts a chain reaction. In my little world, I think that being consistent and disciplining our youth, teaching them that a good deed can in turn produce more good deeds, and just showing love is the true meaning of world peace in a world where there is so much trouble.

Excerpted from the book ‘Spiritual Growth’ by Dean A. Banks, D.D. - What does it mean to focus on a desired outcome? Does it mean that you attach yourself to that outcome no matter what? Or does it mean that you develop the fogged determination to accomplish your goal no matter what befalls you. Anything that is worthy in your life must be done with an unfaltering faith and trust in the Divine. Without those key ingredients, you are just treading water.

Dogged determination. What does that mean? In most cases it is an unwavering focus on a desired outcome. It doesn’t mean that you sometimes don’t have any doubts and feel like throwing in the towel; it means that when you do you still “press on” toward your goal. It means that you still hear the negative chatter in your head but you take a stance and reject the perceived outcomes it reveals. Bias begins within each one of us. It is something that we are taught and sometimes accept as true without even knowing why, or worse, caring why. The story of Vivien Thomas comes to mind. I saw an HBO film about him in 2004 and shared it my fiancé last Saturday. Amidst the feelings of anger and a hope for fairness and recognition, we ended up with tears in our eyes by the end of the movie.

Vivien Thomas was a person who was a skilled craftsman. He was recognized as such but was let go at his job. He took on a job at a medical research facility in Nashville, TN tending the dogs that were used in the experiments. He applied his skills as a carpenter to help the doctor with surgeries on the dogs. His hands were steady and his mind was focused. The doctor recognized his skill as a perfectionist. This is where Vivien learned how to feel his way through the body during surgery. He would often close his eyes so he could feel better. Later on, this technique would astound other surgeons.

After Vivien lost his life savings in the bank crash in 1930, he paralleled his own career along with Doctor Blalock’s career. He accompanied Dr. Blalock to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He was classified as a “Lab Technician” but was only paid the same rate as the janitors. His anger brewed as he saw his research and discoveries being recognized as the work of Dr. Blalock. He channeled his anger inward and used it to become more determined to create the tools that would be needed to help in the surgeries of blue babies. At one point, Vivien left Dr. Blalock because he accepted full credit for the discoveries, acknowledging the “white” doctors without giving any credit to Vivien. Vivien then hawked antacids for a while until he realized that it was more important for him to complete the work he started with Dr. Blalock than to succumb to his desire for recognition and equal pay. He made the goal of helping others more important than his goals.

Vivien chose to “press on”, even though the prejudice against him seemed insurmountable. During the first surgery on a blue baby, Dr. Blalock stopped the surgery and sent for Vivien to help guide him through the procedure. Another doctor told Vivien to “attend to his duties” and Dr. Blalock told the other doctor that he was “attending to his duties.” The pompous, arrogant and prejudicial attitude of others didn’t stop Vivien from performing his duties. He assisted and trained Dr. Blalock and other surgeons and he never attended medical school. He had talent, genius and educated himself. All of that wasn’t enough to elevate his social status. Vivien was eventually recognized for his work after Dr. Blalock died. He was given an honorary doctorate from Johns Hopkins and his likeness now hangs in the entrance hall next to Dr. Blalock’s. His dogged determination is why. I suggest your rent the movie “Something the Lord Made.” It’s very inspirational.

Vivien faced prejudice, rejection and the negative attitudes of those less talented than him and channeled his emotions toward the ultimate goal of saving lives. He was determined to be the best he could be amidst his rise from a carpenter in the old south to a surgeon that pioneered a procedure that saved the lives of many children. That is dogged determination. It is the spirit of God within each one of us that knows the gifts and blessings that God has given us and refuses to let others tell us what we can or cannot do with our lives. Listen to that spirit. It is your guide to the life of your dreams.

Gay marriage has become an issue lately and both Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama have ‘come out’ in support of civil unions and ‘gay marriage’. The media has made such a ‘hubbub’ about something that is completely natural for some people and such an offense to others. Since when does the relationship of two adults adversely affect your own relationship choices? It only affects you when you choose to live by your ego instead of Divine love!

What is marriage? Is it an ‘institution’? Is it something ordained by God? Is it a ‘religious’ commitment? Or is it simply a public declaration of love for another human being? There are differences between the emotional and ‘legal’ versions of ‘marriage’.

When two people are so satisfied with the love in their relationship and they decide they want to keep that love in their lives they opt for that commitment to sharing exclusively with each other. There is an emotional exchange that feeds both people and makes them feel fulfilled.

However, the legal version is somewhat different. They are now looked at by the state as one. They share property and finances are each held liable for one another. There are many ancillary functions of marriage that need to be addressed by both parties before they decide to make such a commitment.

Marriage, according to definition, is the legal or religious ceremony that formalizes the decision of two people to live as a married couple. There is nothing ever stated that it is a sanctity between a man and a woman EXCEPT in ‘religious’ practice. And since when is the religious practice of one of our many religions binding on EVERYONE?

According to the Bible, marriage was instituted in Paradise when ‘man was in innocence’. Monogamy was the original law of marriage. In the patriarchal age, polygamy and concubinage became prevalent. Men were the masters of the marriage and women and children were chattel owned by the man. The man in the family made the choices for his sons and daughters in whom they would ‘marry’. Gaining of favor through work and exchange of money would ‘win’ the hand in marriage of daughters and sons were also dedicated to a ‘chosen’ marriage. Paul furthered the ‘institution’ of marriage as being honorable (Heb. 13:4) and to represent the union between God and His ‘people’. It was compared to the love of Christ to his saints (Eph. 5:25-27).

But what about people who don’t ascribe to the Bible and its tenets? Should they have to be bound by someone else’s backward thinking based on things that occurred over 2000 years ago? People have been homosexual since the beginning of the existence of people. It is what they feel they are and NO ONE has the right to treat them any differently based on their own standards. It is all ‘whipping game’ on someone who is considered ‘different’. Let’s call it what it is; BULLYING!

Jon Stewart made an interesting comment about what Mitt Romney said concerning ‘marriage is between a man and a woman’. He asked if it is still marriage if it’s a marriage between a man and 5 women, like Mitt’s grandfather enjoyed. Marriage has moved from monogamy to polygamy and back.

The Mormon’s instituted polygamy in Utah because when they arrived there, there were more women than men still alive. In order to propagate the ‘species’, men needed to take on several wives. Yet again, MEN made that decision and NOT God! They claimed they were ‘guided’ to that decision by the Divine. This is interesting based on their philosophy that ‘Elohim’ impregnated Mary with ‘Jesus Christ’. The origin of the ‘Elohim’ are the 7 spirits of God in the Torah; not one ‘spirit’ that impregnated Mary to have a son that was the brother of Lucifer.

Those who try to legislate what they ‘feel’ is their ‘morality’ on others are not coming from Divine love. They are coming from their EGOS!!! It is the ego’s attempt to control, dominate and manipulate others into behaving like them. Don’t allow the agendas of self-righteously indignant pious assholes inflict their agendas upon ANYONE who loves another human being. These people are the Pharisees. They ones who tried to trip up Jesus, but to no avail. He put them in their place each and every time. Why don’t you do the same? ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

It is a precious life and not for political purposes. The Creator has created it to worship Him. All other aims of life are secondary in all religions.

Peace which is a defunct element in the world politics is the cherished goal of common person. He wants peace and calm all around him. He wants to live and let live but the theologians’ politicians and ideologists are against his idea of peace. They want to monopolize the world. They want the world to act upon their whims and wishes. Although international community has recognized peace as the only thing that can make this world progress and prosperous yet the same world is against it. When we go deep into the ocean of the affairs of states and the real politics we find that the power politics is in the vogue. Some countries of the world having a specific frame of mind and following specific religious ideas are on the background of all the chaos. They are not letting the publics and republics to live according to their own ideas and beliefs. The terrorists are the product of this phenomenon. They are reactionaries and do not want to follow the dictates of these hegemonic people and states. When you use some ideology or religion to propagate your own covert interests the reaction will be terrorism and extremism. In this age of information technology no nation can be kept in the dark for longtime. The world trade Centre has been reconstructed with a new name One world trade Centre but the people who died in the heinous incident are no more. A strange kind of change has gripped the world and some kind of hysteria has been produced in the people. Common man has been terrorized and frightened from imaginary enemies and the secret aims are being achieved. The cost of all this politics is the human life. Life of a man has no religion. It is a precious life and not for political purposes. The Creator has created it to worship Him. All other aims of life are secondary in all religions. The world peace day which was recognized and established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly and modified in 2001 to observe September 21st as the International Day of Peace has just become a formality. Every coming year brought more violence and loss of human life since the establishment of the day of peace worldwide.

The aim of the United Nations resolution was to observe a day of peace and nonviolence but on the same day a lot of violence occurs. The same people who are in the forefront to observe the day allow violence and bombardment to achieve their commercial aims.

Although an ever-increasing number of people worldwide, representing a wide variety of religious and spiritual traditions, have joined the purpose yet violence is on the increase.

The following objective:

“To encourage worldwide, 24-hour spiritual observations for peace and nonviolence on the International Day of Peace, 21 September in every house of worship and place of spiritual practice, by all religious and spiritually based groups and individuals, and by all men, women and children who seek peace in the world.” are the words only as scribed by the scriber to mitigate the intensity feelings of those who want real peace in the world.
