It seems more and more parents are becoming concerned about the dangeous unknown we call the World Wide Web. There has been recent concern about posting normal, family related pictures. Is posting a family picture for others to see really putting your child at danger?

Our organization works online with pedophiles every day. Real ones. Our abuse prevention programs are based on the information we gathered by infiltrating internet circles of them to learn how they act. Such first hand research gives us a unique perspective to answer this question that nobody else can.

First you must ask yourself…..how likely is this? In reality, the fear that a pedophile is somehow going to see your child’s picture, then become obsessed, go through the nearly impossible feat to identify your child in the first place, then develop an elaborate plan to somehow abduct your child, is about as likely as your child being hit with a small asteroid, twice in the same day.

Pedophiles are opportunists. While they may have preferences as to the way a child looks, the children they molest are based on the ones they have an opportunity to be around. And yes, nearly every pedophile is around children every day. We catch less than one percent of them, and they exist in a population well into the millions, likely into the tens of millions in the United States alone. Our organization has recently come up with mathematical equations based on the most widely accepted numbers, indicating that around one in every 20-30 adults has active pedophile tendencies.

This fear of a pedophile finding your child’s picture online, and then stalking your child for evil purposes, is nothing more than an urban legend. It has never happened, nor is it likely to in the future. It is simply not how they work. They do not need to go through elaborate heists to get children. Most are around kids every day. Even the ones who aren’t and might consider an abduction, are going to search for the easiest victim. They will pick one out based on their geographic location, not go through great lengths to try and find and stalk a child’s picture they saw on the internet.

While the fear parents have about this may be real, it is unfounded. A thief is not going to spend days fumbling on a solid steel lock with a thousand tumblers, when the door 3 feet away is already open and swinging in the wind. Likewise, a pedophile will not take the most difficult, complex route to a victim.

The only real justification to such a claim, is that pedophiles are picture collecters. Sometimes they do peruse through photo sites for pictures of children. However, the reality is this: The most common internet pictures of random kids used by pedophiles are taken with a telescopic lens, and without you even knowing about it. Beach pictures, in the mall, walking down the street. The family pictures you take and distribute to relatives without the help of the internet are much more likely to end up in the hands of a pedophile, and still may end up online anyway. While it is a discomforting thought for parents to think that pictures of their child may ever be viewed by a pedophile, short of locking your child in the basement, it is a reality of the age. Picture sharing over the web is a convenience. It is something loved by family and friends. When we breed a society where inocent pictures are too dangerous to be shared, then all we’ve done is added another atrocity.

Society would be much better off, if we could stop wasting time on these misguided fears, and instead apply the same effort to abuse prevention. Lost in all this is the fact that nearly every incident of sexual abuse is preventable, with simple steps that parents can take. The media has done a great disservice to the public, by focusing on the problem of sexual abuse from the extreme fraction of a percent, and reinforcing traditional views of pedophiles which are far from accurate. If parents don’t understand the way they work and act, you can’t protect your children. The ploys pedophiles use can be stopped, if parents simply take the time to address the things that make their childrren vulnerable to begin with. With simple steps that nearly every parent can take, just about every molester can be kept at bay.

We understand that it can be hard to find ways to address this topic with your kids, which is why we offer safety programs that teach kids how to defeat abuse simply by reading them a children’s book. Each book addresses a different concept in abuse prevention, and over the series your children will learn the skills they need to stop just about any attack. Instead of creating new things to fear as parents, let’s go on the attack to ensure that our kids are protected.

Feminists accept argued for years that abduction is not a sex act–it is an act of abandon application sex as a weapon.

The False hotlink – Homosexuality And Pedophilia

Herek credibility out that adolescent agitation and adolescent animal corruption accredit to “actions,” after implying any “particular cerebral architecture or motive on the allotment of the perpetrator.” In added words, not all incidents of adolescent animal corruption are perpetrated by pedophiles. Pedophilia can be beheld as a affectionate of animal fetish, wherein the being requires the brainy angel of a child–not necessarily a flesh-and-blood child–to accomplish animal gratification. Rarely does a pedophile acquaintance animal admiration for adults of either gender. They usually don’t analyze as homosexual–the majority analyze as heterosexual, even those who corruption accouchement of the aforementioned gender They are sexually angry by youth, not by gender. In contrast, adolescent molesters generally apply ability and ascendancy over accouchement in an accomplishment to boss them. They do acquaintance animal admiration for adults, but accost accouchement episodically, for affidavit afar from animal desire, abundant as rapists adore power, abandon and authoritative their ashamed victims. Indeed, analysis supports that a adolescent molester isn’t any added acceptable to be homosexual than heterosexual.

In fact, some analysis shows that for pedophiles, the gender of the adolescent is immaterial. Accessibility is added the agency in who a pedophile abuses. This may explain the top accident of accouchement confused in abbey communities and congenial organizations, area the pedophile may added calmly accept admission to children. In these situations, an developed macho is trusted by those about him, including accouchement and their families. Males are generally accustomed admission to boys to mentor, teach, drillmaster and advise. Therefore, a macho pedophile may accept easier admission to a macho child. In aggravating to accomplish faculty of an developed male’s sexually abusing a macho child, abounding of us mislabel it as an act of homosexuality, which it isn’t.

Feminists accept argued for years that abduction is not a sex act–it is an act of abandon application sex as a weapon. In the aforementioned way, a pedophile abusing a adolescent of the aforementioned sex is not perpetrating a homosexual act, but an act of abandon and corruption application sexuality. There is a apple of aberration amid these two things, but it requires a attenuate compassionate of the close action of the abuser.

To alarm adolescent agitation of a boy by a man “homosexual” or of a babe by a man “heterosexual” is to misunderstand pedophilia. No accurate pedophile is admiring to adults, so neither homosexuality nor heterosexuality applies. Accordingly, Herek suggests calling men’s animal corruption of boys “male-male molestation” and men’s corruption of girls, “male-female molestation.”

The Classes of Pedophilia:

Class 1: He drives by, like a bus stop or playground or something, he looks, but he isn’t going to do anything.

Class 2: he drives by, slows down and looks, but still doesn’t do anything, then keeps going.

Class 3: He drives by, slows down, says something suggestive, then immediately floors it out of there quickly.

Class 4: He drives by masturbating.

Class 5: He drives up, stops, gets out and abducts the child, then busts out of there.

Class 6: He drives up, jumps out and sexually assaults right there on the spot, then leaves.

Class 7: He lures them in with something tantalizing, like candy or money and gets them to come by their own free will into his car, of course they’re unsuspecting of what will happen.

Class 8: This happens more than once a week.

Class 9: He meticulously plans this out, for like 4 months. He finally then carries out his plan.

Class 10: He has a preference, like a serial kind of hunter. When he gets his targets he also keeps them, ultimately forming a kind of a collection of children.

At a time when many toddlers go from summer camp, difficult for parents not to think about the risk of sexual assault. While they are alone in the midst of adult strangers, how to warn children without trauma? Interview with Martine Brousse, general delegate of the Association of Child's Voice.

Should we talk about child abuse to a child before a summer camp?

Of course, parents should discuss with their child, but that is not enough. It is imperative that the child knows they have also talked with teams framing. Because often, the pedophile uses the excuse that “it’s a secret” to force the child to be quiet. However, if present at the preparatory meeting for the camp and the issue was raised before him among the leaders and parents, the child will know that this is wrong. But this also applies to the new school year. In the first meeting of parents, discuss the issue with the school your children, teachers … And always before the children, there is no sense of secrecy.

How to warn?

Before starting a colony, we must remind the child to be careful when crossing when it’s cycling, but also to people who can annoy him or a buddy in the shower in the evening at bedtime … Well to explain that if this happens, it must be said, he understands that there is no secret, and it will not be responsible. It should dramatize things, that is to say, speak as we do with road safety education. Because the problem is that sexuality remains a taboo and no one dares talk about it.

More generally, when you advise to approach the subject?

In The Voice of the Child, we assume that we must speak as soon as possible, for example by cleaning up a child. This is an opportunity to serve him it is his body, that no one outside of mom or dad has the right to touch it. We must also teach him very quickly to wash himself, including sex, and explain that later, he will decide who can touch him. It’s very important that parents respond to questions without being confused with simplicity – “yes, like on the road there are speeders, sometimes a child may encounter a pedophile who loves children.” One must keep in mind that these are not children who are embarrassed, but the parents.

It must be said with words here? Speak explicitly of pedophile?

Everything will depend on age. In an earlier, we explain that there are gentlemen, as is often the gentlemen, who take the child as an adult, and they are not allowed. But do not suddenly say “hey you stop and talk about it,” but rather bring the subject during games, during a start camp … it will be one of the words of prevention and information that will be given.

Corey Feldman Says Pedophilia "#1 Problem" in Hollywood, Contributed to Corey Haim's Death.

According to Corey Feldman, former child star and best friend of the late Corey Haim, child molestation has run rampant in the entertainment industry.

“The No. 1 problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia,” he said Wednesday, adding that the “casting couch” exists for children, too.

He and Haim were no exceptions to that disturbing trend, Feldman says.

Two Coreys: Feldman, left, and the late Haim.

Feldman asserted in an interview that directors and other adults in the industry take advantage of young aspiring actors on a regular basis.

“It’s all done under the radar… But it’s the big secret,” he said.

Feldman also claimed that former co-star Corey Haim’s death last year was the end result of early sexual abuse by an unnamed “Hollywood mogul.”

The 40-year-old said that his friend’s long-running battle with substance abuse and addiction was “a symptom” of the molestation he experienced.

The actor has said that he was raped by his assistant as a child.

“It’s something that will be addressed in my inner soul for the rest of my life, and it’s something that truly affects me,” he told GQ magazine.

Pedophiles are the scum of the world and should all be burned at the stake. At least that's what the common idea of them is. What if it's wrong? Before you jump on me for being a pedo myself, hear me out:

The abduction and/or rape of a child–or of anyone of any age, for that matter–is wrong and should be severely punished. The media at least gets that across. But the hunt for pedophiles is becoming almost like the Salem witch hunts. There are people on various art sites who can’t post a picture of a fully-dressed young girl without being called out as pedophiles. Anyone who likes the Touhou shooter series is automatically a pedophile. Worse yet, the media is encouraging this sort of premature accusation. The public opinion of pedophiles could hardly be lower.

Imagine this: you have a fetish that you know will creep out the majority of the world. Therefore, you keep it under wraps and don’t so much as mention it to anyone. There are plenty of people like this out there, myself included (no, my fetish is not pedophilia). But what if people were talking about killing anyone who had your fetish? What if, the moment anyone got the idea that you might have that fetish, they alienated you from your workplace or school? You couldn’t go anywhere without being teased or even physically abused. Sadly, things are like this for a lot of people who happen to find children more attractive than adults.

The exploitation of children is wrong, but with drawings, there are no victims and no exploitation. Very few pedophiles actually act on their fetish. It’s the select few who do that we should be trying to stop, not the ones who will never do any harm. It’s hard to tell which kind of people will apply their fantasy to reality, but we let honest citizens and serial killers alike own guns and knives, do we not?

When I said that persecution of pedophiles has become like the witch hunts, I meant that we’re just accusing everyone who likes the aesthetic appeal of children more than that of adults of being sadistic creeps, criminals, rapists, etc. It doesn’t seemlike we’re trying to protect the children so much as find ways to imprison the pedophiles, regardless of if they’ve done anything or not.

Please don’t assume I’m trying to stand up for the people who do rape children. They should be punished accordingly. I don’t think I’m expressing my thoughts on this issue very well, so I’ll summarize it here:

We should step back and think about our goals: are we trying to protect children, or are we trying to send as many scapegoats to jail as we can?

/Disclaimer: I didn’t draw the picture. I assume some Japanese guy did, in the safety of his home where he wasn’t afraid to draw cute girls without being arrested.

More then 3,000 children were kidnapped in the U.S. last year after responding to online messages posted by their abductors.

Parents are constantly being warned that they should monitor their kids use of the Internet. This is with good reason. Pedophiles are surfing the met looking for their next targets. The kids sometimes don’t understand that people they meet online may not be who they say they are. Some pedophiles misrepresent themselves as youngsters in chat rooms or via e-mail and trick children into forming friendships with what they believe are peers.

More then 3,000 children were kidnapped in the U.S. last year after responding to online messages posted by their abductors. A recent survey of teenage girls found 12% had agreed to meet strangers who’d contacted them online.

Pedophiles these days will use the Internet to exploit their actions and exploit children. Unfortunately, children put too much information on the social networking sites which makes them easy prey for any pedophile looking for an easy target,” says Corporal Adam Scott, WV State Police Crimes Against Children Unit.

These sexual predators are everywhere. They use the Internet as a hunting grounds and our kids are their prey. There have been some calls for the use of chemical castration for persons who sexually abuse minors. I personally don’t think that is harsh enough. What do you think should be done to protect kids from these predators?

Yes, it is. Like always, not everyone in the media is responsible, but we've all heard the songs, read the books, and watched the movies. If we want to continue to fight against sexual exploitation of minors, we'll have to cut this out.

She hopped onto the back of my bike. We rode to the beach and made hot, passionate love.

This is a line taken directly from a book I read recently; one aimed at younger teens. The main character was thirteen, as was his girlfriend.

Similar to this book, we’ve also got movies and music that sexualize children. In the lyrics of a certain song, a girl is said to be seventeen. In the chorus comes the line, “. . . makin’ love out by the lake to our favorite song . . .”

Maybe people think using “making love” in the place of “sex” makes it all right. Certainly, “making love” does sound less gratuitous, but the meaning is the same.

I’m no stranger to sexual exploitation. I read plenty of manga, and obviously, I’ve run across several that display underage characters having sex–sorry, making love. Since manga comes from Japan, where pedophilia is known as “lolicon” and “lolicon” is legal, I don’t have a problem with it. Sadly, though, ninety-nine percent of said manga I read didn’t establish anything near a loving relationship in the characters who were making love. This is actually true in real life as well.

Manga is another topic on its own, but the point to draw from that last paragraph is that underage relationships are founded on nothing other than lust. If you’ve ever been to a public high school, or heck, even a public middle school, you’ve probably seen the stereotypical jock and cheerleader couple. The girl’s leaning back against the locker; the guy’s resting his arm on the locker beside her, making loose gestures with his free hand. His legs are usually crossed. I have this down in such detail because I see it so often. Again, ninety-nine percent of the relationships I see in the school hallways end after one act of intercourse. Then the girl gets pregnant and the guy decides he doesn’t want to be a father. So much for all their time together.

In my high school, couples start dating based on the partner’s nice breasts or abs, maybe with a few other things to excuse it such as kindness or similar interests. Then, after establishing a relationship and posting it on Facebook, they proceed to look for even more excuses to have sex. Same religion, political side, etcetera. And hey, sometimes, valid love does form like this. Contrary to popular belief, teens do possess the ability to love. This isn’t the case most of the time. The majority of these couples are only fooling themselves into thinking they’re in love. The results of these sorts of relationships are obvious: breakup and divorce.

I see where people are coming from when they say teenagers can’t love. As the saying goes: God gave man a brain and a penis and only enough blood to use one at a time. Yes, this is especially true in teenagers. No, it doesn’t make us incapable of the most valuable emotion. It just makes it harder to reach.

Kids are rushing into relationships because the music they listen to, the movies they watch, and the books they read actively promote it. Also, take some time to look around in your local clothing stores. Now look at the sort of clothing designed for young girls. Not even taking bikinis into consideration, a lot of outfits are designed to maximize sex appeal in girls as young as five and six. And yes, a bikini is very sexual.

Games, surprisingly, have done surprisingly little in the way of underage sexuality. Sure, you’ve got your Japanese visual novels, translated and hosted on Hongfire, but again, that kind of thing is acceptable in Japan.

Every other form of media has contributed to the problem. “What about painting or drawing,” you ask. In return, I suggest you open up Deviantart and browse around for awhile. Deviantart is mostly non-deviant, but some pictures make it earn its name.

Child pornography is illegal, and yet, we’re seeing mild doses of it constantly in the media. This is contributing to the causes of teen pregnancy and the high divorce rate. That said, I suggest to America: either enforce the current law like you should, or make pedophilia legal.
