Oh sure he loves me

He says it

He shows it

but does he love me? or does he love this little child that never left his cradle?

Sure he tells me to be a Man, but apparently a Man isn’t what I thought it was

Apparently a man is someone who is a robot

Apparently a man is just Mr. Perfect who doesn’t have anything wrong with him.

A man is somehow just a guy that does not pick his own bedtime. his daddy picks it for him.

Sure he says he loves me, but he sure as hell doesn’t respect me….

Granted I am a teenanger, I am not an adult, but I’m not a kid either.

Sure he can say

” please, come set the table”

and I would say Yes

” please, take out the garbage”

and I would say Yes

” please, come and eat dinner”

and I would say Yes

but no its all

” Get to the table”

” take out the garbage”

” COME DOWN, and EAT DINNER!”

its as if the word please doesen’t exist to him

He says that I should be grateful.. and I should

He says that I should feel happy.. and I should

but he is making that very difficult

I don’t want my Father’s love, I want my Father’s respect

The one thought that scares me, is that one day I could grow up to be just like him….

Maybe I shouldn’t have children.

A guide on buying the perfect gift to your mother this Mother's day that will surely leave the smiling faces last longer.

Mother’s Day

is one of the special dates more often people remember than forget. This is the day where we can have the opportunity to express our gratitude towards the woman who carried our innocence in the world for 9 months and perhaps until in our teenage years.

Now, you might be wondering what is the best gift you can give to your mom this Mother’s Day, I have some tips that can be very helpful and will surely be fitted in your budget without compromising thoughtfulness and tender loving care.

1. Treat your mom in a spa - It won’t cost you a lot. And day spas are a lot cheaper than the resorts spas. Depending on the kind of service you want to avail, the costs you are going to spend will be around $80 – $130. Sounds too much? You can give her and yourself a manicure or pedicure for only around $30 and both of you can do a bit of a chitchat while the manicurist are polishing off your digits. Suggest to paint her nails red, it will make her feel more sexy.

2. Bake her a cake – Now, if you are not a type of guy who knows the way into the kitchen, you can order a customized cake for your mom or you can design it yourself. You can buy a small round one for only $6 -$10, and for an additional touch, but some rose buds in her favorite color, and scatter the petals around the cake, not on the cake, but perhaps in the sides if the box where the cake will be packaged.

3. Buy her a house tool – Whether she is a gardener at home of a great cook, it will be practical to buy your mother something she can use. An electric mixer if her old one is not functioning well, garden gloves if hers is already worn out, assorted colored threads if she does cross-stitch, and many others. It will not only look like you are being sweet but she will know that you care enough to give attention to details in everything she do.

One thing, which is the most important, give her love and affection. Be kind. Mother’s Day only comes around once in a year, so make her day worth remembering.

This section of Ecclesiastes explores through the choices of living life between wisdom and folly.

Through the growth of information, we are so aware of all the things that surround us. We communicate daily with people, we are surrounded by all kinds of messages, and we develop an understanding on the general daily life. On a daily basis, how many of those people may seem like an idiot? How many times did you ask if you might have said something stupid? With any chance we have, something did not go the right way.

In the course of any context, we develop a better understanding on our friendships, relationships, and our so-so life with our co-workers. I imagine that with our mistakes, and seeing the mistakes of others that we understand human nature. If any of us were a perfectionist (or know of one) something about human nature is frustrating.

Either way, wisdom is a more developed nature that expels folly, and has an enduring impact on life. Through wisdom life seems bearable. As it is said, “Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly (v. 13).” The perception of wisdom in life does have a lasting impact, but what use is it if the foolish expel the wisdom and make the rest of this world life in folly?

The vanity of wisdom in life is the grievous nature on the lasting impact. Death still happens, the life cycle continues, and the wind still keeps cycling. The wisdom would have become rediscovered if the real wisdom is not passed on from generation to generation. The choice still remains whether we choose to live wisely or with folly.

Here are some takeaways we can learn from Ecclesiastes 2: 12-17.

How can you give a lasting impact on your environment?

Where do you find wisdom, folly, and madness?

Why can this become so grievous in nature?

And what have you done that is left upon the future?

Is it worth searching for your "ideal woman"?

Often when young and crazy, one imagines what one’s ideal woman would be like. Why not? Before you get serious, why can you not dream? Depending on one’s age and attitudes towards love, this may involve describing physical appearance, emotional states, hobbies and activities, material wealth, attitudes to life, or all of the above. And one says to oneself, “damn, if I could meet this one perfect woman. Then my life would be sorted!”. But would it really?

The thing is, we envision this “perfect woman” based on what we would consider before we’ve actually encountered a relationship. And then, as we go through life, it gets shaped by the ones we meet, changes gradually, and hopefully eventually find that person of our dreams, settle down, and retire from life. And we go through life always sitting with that hope in the back of our heads, that the next girlfriend will be better, that we’ll get that ideal woman eventually. Sure, some of us have minimized the dissatisfaction this line of thought causes to virtually nil, but it is still the wrong idea!

It’s flawed for two simple reasons: you don’t really know who’s going to perfectly match the nooks and crannies of your personality and lifestyle, and you’re also probably never going to meet them. Who you are going to meet on the other hand are a lot of other equally attractive and equally compatible women, a few of whom will stand out quite a bit more than the rest. But you’ll never know.

And so when a beautiful blonde comes knocking at your door when you’re expecting a brunette, don’t be scared to open it, you might end up pleasantly surprised. That’s not to say take any girl that comes along (that might raise a few eyebrows!) but don’t object to some characteristics that seem way out of line at first. Personally, I’ve found that I fell in love with a girl whom I should never have done on paper; we didn’t have an awful lot in common, but we just clicked. And the funniest thing was, she was almost the exact opposite of what I would have penned as the ideal girlfriend for me.

So there you have it, folks. Nothing in life is predictable, especially when it comes to women. So you might as well just enter the game area without any preconceived notions or expectations, and, trust me, you’ll pull out something far better than you would have otherwise!

Is it possible for students to work?

Yes it is possible. Adding task from works to homeworks might not be the ideal way to learn and earn, but when you’ve got no other option but to do it, remember several points below.

Are you ready?

Ask yourself whether you’re really need and ready to do it. Both, study and work would require more of your time, energy and mind. When you’re certain enough that you’re going to do both at the same time, go for it.

Find the perfect job

Make sure that you can combine your work schedule with your schedule at school. If it is possible, tell your bos that you’re still studying. Hopefully your bos can help you in adjusting your work schedule with school.

Work to learn

Mostlikely you can use your work as a form of learning. Perhaps not exactly related to your major of studies, but one day you’ll need to know how to share, cooperate and compete in the healthy way.

Manage your time

Working while studying would make you have less time in almost every aspect of your life. That way you need to manage your time accordingly and stick to the plans you’ve made.

Don’t forget homework

Since you’re a student, then your study still have to come first. You can do your homework after work, or ask your bos if is it okay if you’re doing your homework whenever you’ve got nothing to do in your working place.

When it’s time to refresh your mind

Use holiday to the max. It is time to take a rest or indulge your self with things you want but can not do during working and studying hours. That way, forget anything related to study and work. Go ahead have some fun.

Got some experience and knowledge to share? You can write it and get paid for it by signing up here.

Griffiths (1998, p93) has argued that there cannot be the hope of doing perfect research. This paper seeks to debunk that idea.

Hope of Doing Perfect Research

One of the most important academic exercises that go in almost all educational institutions of higher learning is the practice of conducting research (Faisal, 2009). The conduct of research has actually come to be part of the cumulative scoring grade for most students graduating from these institutions. On daily basis also, people conduct research with the hope of coming out with different findings. As a matter of fact, the debate of whether or not there is hope for conducting perfect research as sparked by Griffiths (1998, p93) depends largely on composition and modus operandi used conducting research. Much also can be argued with relation to what the meanings of research and perfect are.

Prenhall (2010) defines research as “the systematic process of collecting and analyzing information to increase our understanding of the phenomenon under study.” The word perfect has also been explained by the ARD (2011) as “brought to consummation or completeness; completed; not defective nor redundant; having all the properties or qualities requisite to its nature and kind.” Making inference from these two definitions, it can be said that once a person sets out to collect information with the hope of increasing or understanding a phenomenon under study and this process is undertaken with all its qualities requites to its nature and kind, then that research can be judged as perfect. Another question that may arise from this assertion is, ‘What then constitutes the qualities requisite to the nature of a research?’ In every research work, the researcher sets off with a set of aims and objectives and it is these aims and objectives that are expected to be achieved for the research to be said to be perfect.

In academic practice, students are supposed to realize the aims of their research. In a personal encounter, I was assigned to a research topic in which I was supposed to find intervention to poor female participation in science lessons through a teaching strategy. The aim I set was that by the end of the study, performance of each female student in the class would increase by at least 15% due to the teaching strategy to be adapted. In doing this, I used the discovery and experimental methods of teaching, which ensured that the female students in the class participated in the class personally and actually discovered basic scientific processes for themselves. After three weeks of research, a post-intervention test was conducted and compared to the pre-intervention test, the female student with the least score improved by 22%. From every indication, the aim of the research was achieved and so the research could be judged as perfect.

There remain some people who hold the view that for research findings to be perfect, their validity should be universal. The response to this argument is that research work comes with specific requirements, one of which is that every research should have delimitation (O’Neill, 2006). The delimitation defines the scope within which the research and its findings will be confined. For this reason if the results of a particular research prove workable within its delimitation and not in other places, the research still fulfills its aim and therefore continues to hold as perfect.

Others argue that researches are often improved and that if the researches were perfect, there would be no need for improvement. This is however no point to nullify the perfection of researches. In a typical instance, I led a research to improve sales at the school cafeteria. The ultimate conclusion was that sales improved after the research because the research suggested that there should be an online ordering and purchasing system that would make it possible for people to access the cafeteria easily. Later, there was a research by another group of persons to improve our research based on our recommendation for there to be accountability with the improved sales that were anticipated to be recorded. The latter came up with an automated machine that recorded sales electronically and so for there to be embezzlement was highly impossible. Though the improvement was good, our aim was still achieved and so our research remained perfect for the aim for which it was set out.

Having laid all the above points down, I take a stand against the argument that there is no hope of doing perfect research. As a matter of fact, several perfect researches have been conducted and researches are encouraged to continue in that manner to continue to help the world overcome most of its problems it currently faces.

A crook hears how most killers are caught by the simplest mistakes, but that won't happen to a smart guy like him, right? Wrong!

CRIME COMIC REVIEWS BILL EVERETT THE BUTTON 1950

Spoiler alerts.

A delightfully macabre contribution to the Mammoth Book Of Best Crime Comics. The button is a story of a man’s stark terror and paranoia contributing to his downfall.

The killer here shouldn’t really try to commit murder at all. He is already such a nervous wreck and pathetic figure that you know his efforts to get rich quick will end in tears.

The villain overhears friends talking of how most crooks get caught by a simple mistake, and an over-looked detail at the crime scene. Toothpicks and links from a watch-chain are cited as examples of what it took to put some killers behind bars.

Our villain is desperate enough to try and mug a man anyway and when it ends in murder, he finds that a button has fallen off his coat. He returns to the murder scene to scramble around for it, desperate to cover the one loose end able to land him in the hands of justice. He lingers so long, he is still there when the police arrive to discover the body, and the victim has the button clutched in his hand from the struggle they had. Oops!

The story has a creping sense of inevitability to it. The ending is no surprise whatsoever and for once, that is exactly how it should be.

Before being agree or disagree with the quote of Griffiths (1998, p97), it is a primary need to be acquainted with the words ‘hope’, ‘perfect ‘and ‘research’. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language has defined the word “hope” as emotional state which promotes the belief in a positive outcome related to the events and circumstances in one’s life. The term “perfection” has generally been translated as completeness. Things having this quality may be termed as “perfect”. The word “Perfect” denotes a state that is complete and without any fault, weaknesses or error. The Greek philosopher Anaximander described the world as “endless” and “the greatest” but while he ascribed great qualities to the world, he had not regarded it as perfect (1) that meant there was nothing to be complete and perfect.

Sometimes research is termed as the repeated search of a search (re+search) established already. This is not true. Research is a systematic investigation and has been defined as the search for knowledge to solve new or existing problems, prove new ideas, to develop new theories and to establish novel facts.

On the basis of these definitions as described above, it may be concluded that research is a systematic search for knowledge and knowledge is endless. Research is aimed to solve new and existing problems and to prove new idea. Anaximander was obviously correct that the world of knowledge and research was not ever ending, complete and perfect.

It has thus been agreed that there is no hope of doing perfect research. There is a never-ending list of reasons of imperfection of a research. Neither two gardens are same on a day, nor two days in a garden. Similarly, ideology, environment, culture, religion, society, politics and economics etc. are varying and affecting needs of a common person and objectives of a researcher. This change in needs of a common person and objectives of a researcher may be due to variation because of differed locations and/or time intervals. Thus previous knowledge is insufficient on today and today’s knowledge will be insufficient on tomorrow.

Sometimes the person doing research overrides the true outcome of research. The researcher’s biased attitude also caused an error in search of knowledge to make it imperfect.

Few examples have been illustrated here to make clear the imperfection of research due to various reasons:

1. We had got an idea from the literature that if the buffers are included in the food of a lactating ruminant, the content of fat in the milk produced, may be increased. A series of experiments was conducted to test the hypothesis to draw valid conclusions. The idea has been recorded to be correct. Further, a work is now required to supplement existing knowledge regarding economical aspects of the outcome of the research before recommending it among the farmers. It can thus, be percepts that the research conducted before me was neither perfect, nor my work because the knowledge and the facts generated were insufficient. The reason is clear that a person and his activities may have a limit but the knowledge may not.

2. Here is another example that we would like to quote. At the time of green revolution in India chemical fertilizers and insecticides were promoted among the farmers in various ways. That promotion was based on a continuous series of experiments on productivity of the crops. After some years, the properties of soil and the environment were affected badly due to application of such chemicals at farmers’ level on the field. Now, the community of researchers is advocating restricting the use of such chemicals on the field and advising the farmers to return to organic farming.

3. An example in India is well known today. Some biased persons in the Government were giving clean chit to Mr. Raja and 17 others in a renowned 2G spectrum scam on the basis of investigation of the facts and the documented records. But, the Hon’ble Court of law, after trails, examination and investigation of those facts and records, framed the charges against all alleged persons. The reason of imperfection of the research was that the biased people were conducting the research and overriding the conclusion .

4. At its initial period, Psychology was the study of soul but after some time, it was turned to study of mind. Now the subject matter of this subject is to study of behaviour (2) and mental processes. Thus, research is a never-ending and continuous process. This property of research enables the possibilities of further improvement or revision in the matter.

So many other reasons may be responsible for this happening but it was clear that there is no research work which is perfect. Mostly, a newly conducted research on the same topic adds something new to the existing knowledge or sometimes even proves that the previous findings were wrong. Similarly, no claim can be made that the outcome searched today is perfect. There is no any research that could be termed as “perfect”, otherwise the people may not be innovated and rehabilitated themselves. Who knows in coming future, a simple pill will treat today’s serious diseases like cancer, AIDS and leprosy etc.

Conclusion:

We do agree with Griffiths (1998, p97) that there is no hope of doing a perfect research.

Confidence - some people have it, some people don't. This article shows you tips on how to get confidence, use confidence and learn about confidence.

Confidence is standing up for what you believe in,

Confidence is not giving a care about what people think of you,

Confidence is achieving things you want.

I learnt this valuable lesson from an early age, my parents used to say “if you have no confidence then you have no life” and you know what, I still believe every word of it. People with no confidence always have no self-esteem and are always self-conscious that’s why they don’t get far in life – lets face it, even if you get straight A’s you won’t get the job of your dream because your confidence will let you down in the job interview. Employers have changed in the last decade or so – not only are they looking for bright individuals, they’re looking for individuals that burst with confidence. People that believe in themselves and believe in what they can achieve. I have written this article to help those who are not so bursting in confidence and find them they’re confidence.

Be your own best friend:

I learnt this lesson from a you tuber and lets face it, it’s quite a good lesson. Some of you might think its stupid but i think its one of the most important lesson you need to learn to gain confidence. Confidence isn’t something you can buy in a shop – you have to build it up like a strong brick and steel sky scraper. You can’t trust anyone as much as your own self – not even your closest friend because there’s a chance you might have a fight and she/he will go off telling anyone she/he can get her/his hands on. Its really important to be your own best friend – it makes you independent and helps you believe in your self. Independence is really important because it means that you don’t have to rely on people like your bank or friends cause they can make your life living hell. I mean if you really need help why don’t you comment yourself.

Don’t doubt yourself:

People with little or no confidence often doubt themselves – and that is a complete no no. Everyone must rely on themselves and believe in every decision they make, if you doubt your self then others doubt you and believe me it wont create a good image of you. One of the things people who doubt themselves need to learn is to let go of expectations. Its usually people with high expectations that get greatly disappointed. When people get so greatly disappointed they start to doubt themselves. When something like that does happen, you need to question yourself and ask if there were any reason behind why you probably didn’t do so well. By doing this you are separating your expectation and disappointment.

Stop comparing yourself:

This is one of the most common factors as of why people are lowering the confidence they have. I mean, people don’t care whether your not a skinny and fit as other people, not as clever as other people or not as popular as others – they care about who you are as a person. There might be a man or a women at work or school whose got the perfect body and is intelligent and is rich but that doesn’t mean they’re perfect and you HAVE to be like them. For all you know they might have lost family or might have had a bad past – REMEMBER, NO ONES PERFECT.

Love yourself:

Many people hate themselves, they’re body or their personality. Every single person is individual and unique – there is no such thing as perfect. Love yourself and always think about how lucky you are because there are people in Africa and poor countries where they will do hard manual work for a penny a day, not being able to afford to feed their family and having to watch their children, babies and wives starve to death and just knowing that they will never get anywhere in their life. Think about how lucky you are safe and sound in the comfort of your home with an education that can achieve you anything you’ve ever want.

Bullying:

Everyone has experienced bullying once in their lifetime whether at school or at work. Bullying can really lower ones self esteem as that’s it purpose. Bullying can come in many forms, if it hurts your feeling then it counts as bullying. Try to build a shield around yourself, anything designed to hurt your feelings just gets rebound. Remember – harsh comments only become true when you make them true. If someone is being a bitch and is bitching about you then don’t try to bitch about them as-well, this will only make you just as bad as they are. The only reason why their bitching about you is because they want to look superior against someone that they know has no confidence because they think they can trample all over you. There’s a chance that their being bullied and they want to take out all their doubt in themselves on someone else to make them selves look good. Remember if it continues try to stand up for yourself, believe in yourself and tell someone you can trust because then your not on your own.

I hope this article has helped just remember – YOU ARE UNIQUE IN EVERY WAY!!!

Best of luck
