Picnics was supposed to be the best in our life

Just because when you are in sci stream its difficult to take out time for anything.

Anyway we were so excited because we had this big group and but as soon as we came to know that we are going to that freaking indroda park the one with freaking dinosaurs and its eggs. And yeah i do love animals but Not the DEAD ones. so when we went there we were totally tired of walking for no reason finally came the wild animal section we entered had fun with jackal. And there was a animal called black buck with that wavy horns. And the funniest part is that there white version is called WHITE BLACKBUCK and we laughed so hard unexpectedly. Finally we decided to leave! PHEW! Then we went to this temple called AKSHARDHAM and we all were so shameless we just went through and did not even enter the temple straight away went to the rides section. And i sat in RANGER OMG! that ride is freaking awesome i mean you go 360!!!!!!!!! And there is a time when you truly just in the air upside down for about 2 sec which is really really scary you feel as if you will just fall down straight into your teeth! Anyway and when you step out of the ride you get dizzy !! You cannot try it for more than 3 times or else you are gonna puke! We had to report our bus so had to rush so Only sat on the ranger ! Then where ever we went we just sat there and relaxed enough cause the day tiring and BORING just ranger made it awesome!

Before summer ends do something fun, exciting, reasonable and prepare for the coming winter.

Before summer ends you can have a little more fun, take one more trip or prepare for the coming winter and hard times. No one is sure if the economy is going to recover or sink even further than it already has. But one thing is for sure. You only have a few more months left before summer is over.

1. Go swimming in rivers and lakes one more time. Right now the weather is still warm enough in most places to enjoy the natural water ways. Soon the air will change and the water will get too cold to enjoy. So go now while it is still a lot of fun.

2. Have one more great outdoor picnic. As the weather begins to cool in most parts of the country, it is the perfect time to have a picnic or family cookout. Gather the family, the friends and even a few strangers and have a good time.

3. Pay off a bill before winter starts and wages take another dive. By paying off one more debt it is one less thing to worry about when money becomes tight and everyone has to cut back a little more.

4. Pay ahead on the heating bill. Even if the winter is a mild one, in many parts of the country heating cost go way up and become difficult to pay within a very short time.

5. Get your car serviced for the coming winter months. Make sure the engine is in good shape, tires are in good condition, the inside is clean and you have your winter emergency box filled and ready.

6. Plan a Christmas budget and stick to it. Buy a few gifts now during the end of season sales. Start making one or two gifts now to fill out the Christmas gift giving list and stay within a budget. Create a second income just for gift buying and do not go over it.

7. Take one more summer time road trip. Go to a fair, go to a rodeo, go to the mountains, go fishing or just go explore a whole new area you have never been to. Explore locally and find the hidden treasure of your own community.

8. Check online courses and decide which one would be profitable for your future. Take at least one course. Choose a course the will improve your future earning power.

9. Gather wood if you have a fire place, wood stove or fire pit. The window is closing fast for gathering firewood. Make sure the wood is dry and ready to use.

10. Plan a winter vacation. Pick up all the information you need and decide if it is affordable. It can be a wonderful trip to the islands or a local stay in a beautiful motel theme room.

My great aunt, a very forthright woman, told me a very strange and eerie tale when I was a child. I did publish it in very brief terms two or three years ago before I'd gained in confidence with my writing, but here it is in full. My mother has recently found a letter which confirms the main details.

Typical Norfolk misty landscape

My Great Auntie Nell, a Londoner by birth, had, as a young woman during the early 1920s, moved to Norfolk (UK) to become a nanny for a wealthy family from Old Catton on the outskirts of Norwich.

The family, unlike many major landowners and minor nobility, treated her very well and as she had no family close by to return to, they allowed her access to a pony and trap on her afternoon off each week.

On one particularly hot sunny summer day, after breakfast had been served, Auntie Nell asked the mistress of the house if she would object to her borrowing the pony and trap for the afternoon and taking a picnic tea out as it was her free afternoon. The mistress instantly gave her permission and suggested that Auntie Nell take along some of “Cook’s best boiled ham and roast chicken from the larder and a bottle of homemade lemonade” and also handed Auntie Nell a lady’s magazine for her to flick through.

Auntie Nell went down and told Cook what the mistress had said so Cook happily obliged. She prepared some ham and chicken sandwiches and a bottle of lemonade and added some home-grown tomatoes, a hard boiled egg and a piece of fruit cake.

It then occurred to Auntie Nell that the children may like to accompany her as they rarely got the opportunity to go on informal picnics, so she approached the butler and asked if it would be alright to disturb the mistress again. The butler, at that time, told her that he was about to take mid morning coffee and cake up to the sitting room and said that he’d ask the mistress although he was sure she wouldn’t object. Needless to say, the mistress was delighted that Auntie Nell was prepared to carry out her duties even on her half day off!

Catton Old Hall

So, at around two o’clock that afternoon, after the children had finished their lunch, the groom brought round the pony and trap while the footman loaded up a hamper (with additional sandwiches, cake and lemonade for the two children). They were due to return by six o’clock that evening in time for dinner.

Auntie Nell went just a couple of miles away from the Hall and, by that time, the children were so excited at the prospect of a picnic and a chance to run around freely that Auntie Nell decided to take the pony and trap down a small dry, grassy track known as White Woman Lane and pulled into a meadow. White Woman Lane was so named as it was supposed to be haunted by a white woman although it seems nobody actually knows the full story behind it and who she was.

The children eagerly helped Auntie Nell to put down blankets onto the grass in amongst the poppies, daisies, buttercups, and campions, while Auntie Nell gently lifted the wicker hamper full of goodies from the back of the trap and led the pony to a sheltered spot under a gnarled oak tree to keep it out of the sun and allow the pony to graze leisurely for a couple of hours.

The party partook of their picnic tea at around half past three and then the children went for a run around the meadow while Auntie Nell settled down to read the mistress’s magazine. After a while, she packed everything away ready for the journey home.

As she packed the blankets on top of the hamper, she checked her watch and found that it was almost five o’clock so she called the children back and settled them down in the trap, turned the pony back into the direction of White Woman Lane and began the journey home.

Before they’d got back onto the main track back to the Hall, the pony suddenly came to an abrupt halt and despite Auntie Nell’s protestations and urges to go on, the pony became more and more tense. It was then that Auntie Nell noticed a mist on the meadow to the left where they’d recently been enjoying their picnic. The mist, despite there being little or no breeze and the sky being brilliantly blue and cloudless, drifted with some speed towards them, crossed the track in front of the pony to a wheat field on the right and, as suddenly as it had appeared, it just disappeared.

The pony then just trotted on as if nothing untoward had happened. The children eagerly told their parents what they’d witnessed and the parents, as most would these days, just thought it was childhood fantasy and indulged them. Auntie Nell had obviously witnessed it but decided it was best to keep quiet about it as it could alarm the family and could ultimately lead to her dismissal from their employ with no reference to enable her to gain further employment. It certainly wasn’t the sort of subject that would naturally occur in day to day conversation between employer and employee although I understand that Auntie Nell did write to her brothers and sisters back in London to tell them what had happened.

So was this mist connected to the ghost of the white woman? Or was it just a normal mist which often occurs naturally here in rural Norfolk; in fact it happens on the meadow at the bottom of my garden as the sun goes down. I’m no Einstein but I do know that often, after a hot day, mists form over damp ground but bearing in mind it was only about five o’clock in the afternoon and not late it seems strange that the mist had formed so early. The mists in our meadow during mid summer don’t tend to form until around six or seven o’clock at the earliest.

It also seems odd that the mist moved so quickly across from one side of the track to the other as there was no wind and usually mists drift extremely slowly. And the mist disappeared extremely quickly once it had crossed the track and gone into the wheat field.

The onset of the mist also upset the pony into the bargain. We have horses on the meadow at the bottom of our garden which are owned by a local animal sanctuary and they certainly aren’t spooked by it.

This isn’t fiction; it’s a true story told to me by my great auntie when I was a child and she was in her 80s. And it wasn’t just a tale she made up for my benefit as my grandmother, my Great Uncle Rich and my Great Auntie Alice confirmed that Auntie Nell did write to them that following weekend. And my mother now has in her possession the letter which was addressed to my grandmother. My grandmother was a great hoarder and had photographs, postcards, correspondence and even old newspapers going back to the year dot!

I’m not convinced some 40 years on that it was a ghost or a spirit being of some sort but, for the life of me, I can’t explain it. I like to think I have an open mind to such things but there’s always that inkling of doubt and that there surely must be some scientific explanation.

Continuation of this series, this time taking a look at Delaware. This article is about Delaware, but most of the dumb laws in this state are in just one location, Rehoboth Beach.

It is illegal to show ‘R’ rated movies or higher rated than this at drive in movie theatres as they would require the minors accompanying parent or guardian to be with them. It is illegal to fly over any bodies of water in the state of Delaware unless you have sufficient supplies of food and drink to accompany you on your journey.

It is unlawful to sleep, loiter or lie on any public beach within the limits of Fenwick Island between midnight and 8 AM. It is also an offence to occupy for the purpose of sleeping or pretending to sleep or to use the beach as a sleeping quarter during these hours. Why don’t they just say stay off the beach?

Also within Fenwick Island you are not permitted to live, dwell, sleep, cook, change your clothes or use the toilet facilities inside in vehicle while inside the town limits. Tailgating is also illegal in this location. Tailgating I thought was following close behind the vehicle in front. In this state it means having a picnic while the vehicle is stationary and using you vehicle as a picnic table.

In Lewes it is not permitted that you wear the type of pants that fit you firmly around the waist. While in Lewes and should you get married on a dare, then be aware that this is grounds for an annulment. In Rehoboth Beach disrobing in public is illegal. You may not get changed in your car or under the boardwalk if this is in view of another person.

Within the limits of Rehoboth Beach, children are only permitted to trick or treat between 6PM and 8PM on Halloween, if this day falls on a Sunday then it must be done the previous day and not outside those hours. Children under 14 are not permitted to loiter the streets. It is illegal to whisper inside a church, it is also not permitted to disrupt or disturb a congregation while they are together for religious worship or to use profanities within 300 feet of a place of worship.

Still in Rehoboth Beach and you cannot pretend to sleep on any bench on the boardwalk, pavilion or any bench located in any of the streets within the limits. What about if you are really sleeping, is that ok?

There are that many dumb laws in Rehoboth Beach they could have had there own entry, earlier it stated that getting changed in public was illegal, well guess what so is doing it in private! You cannot get changed in public restrooms from street clothes to beach wear or vice versa. Where can you get changed then?

Topless bathing is prohibited for females over the age of five. All females over this age should wear a suitable bathing suit that adequately covers their breasts.

Breasts?

Five year olds?

What planet are these people on?

Night clubs in Rehoboth Beach sound like a great place to be, it is illegal to sell alcohol in these establishments if dancing is occurring at the same time. Don’t these people realize nightclubs exist for people to dance and drink, it is called having a good time, clearly not allowed in that place.

Here I've put together five most romantic ways to celebrate Valentine's Day with that special someone!

1] PICNIC: A picnic is a great way to show that special someone you care about them. It doesn’t matter if there is snor or not wherever you live. The setting can be anywhere you want, as long as it’s beautiful. Great planning is great living. So get a nice soft blanket, make some sandwiches , get the wint out and surprise your partner to a day they won’t ever forget.

2] RESTAURANT: This is the classic way that’s been used for many many years. It works though, very well. It may be cheesy but that’s exactly what your going for. It’s Valentine’s Day after all. Reserve yourself a spot at a restaurant, and take your date out. It can be an expensive restaurant, making it a elegant, utterly romantic evening. Or it can be at a not so expensive place, but one that’s cozy and/or holds a special meaning to you and your partner.

3] NIGHT IN: This is one of my favourite ways because you can surprise your partner by cooking for them. This is also a perfect intimate setting. You can dim the lights and get those candles out. Perfect along time with privacy ensured just in case things get a little out of hand

4] NIGHT OUT: This is a bit of less intimate setting. You can take your loved one to their favourite place. Be it a club, bar or even a play or concert! This is just all about your partner’s likes, which they will appreciate so much. Of course you will enjoy it just as much because how can you not when you see the love and joy in your partner’s face when you surprise them!

5] FAIR: This is a bit of a childish, fun way of celebrating. No matter how old you are, every girl loves it when the boy they love wins them a big stuffed animal at the fair. Oh and don’t forget the utterly romantic ferris wheel ride, where it almost always ends with a kiss! Totally cute and romantic!

The historic ships at Fisherman's Wharf.

Anyone who would travel to San Francisco as a traveler would realize that Fisherman’s Wharf is one of the most popular travel destinations of San Francisco and it represents the culture of the entire city. There are many attractions in Fisherman’s Wharf – some of them are important sites and some of them are not so important. The site where the historical ships are found is something unique which you shouldn’t miss to visit.

The main entrance of Pier 45 at Fisherman’s Wharf of San Francisco is a heritage site. Behind the main entrance, you can find two historic ships of the US – USS Pampanito, the submarine, and SS Jeremiah, a World War II ship. You can go aboard both the submarine and ship by paying a nominal fee at the ticket counter located at the entrance.

USS Pampanito is a submarine. It served as a United States Navy ship and completed six war patrols from 1944 to 1945. Then, it served as a Naval Reserve Training ship from 1960 to 1971. Now, the submarine is preserved as a memorial in this site. It’s really fun and unique experience to board the submarine and visit various sections inside the submarine. Some sections would give a feel of getting inside a war ship whereas some sections such as the staff room and officers room would give a feel of a big train.

SS Jeremiah O’Brien is a Liberty ship built during the World War II. You can find this historic ship next to USS Pampanito. This ship is a rare survivor that stormed Normandy on D-Day in 1944. This ship is one of only two currently operational WWII Liberty ships out of 2711 ships built during the war. Getting aboard on this gigantic ship is also a unique experience.

You will also get a good sight of Alcatraz island and Golden Gate Bridge.

Happy travelling.

This sounds like a great idea. Especially for the cooks. It will be fun and exciting new thing to try this Christmas. Maybe for some, this will even become a new Christmas tradition!

If you have ever cooked for a big event that had a lot of people, you know hard and stressful it can be and when the time comes to celebrate and enjoy the food, the cook just wants to go take a nice hot shower and go to bed. Let’s try to change things up a bit this Christmas! Let’s distribute the work over all the people who will come to celebrate.

Usually, there are lots of relatives gathering for Christmas and there are a lot of mouths to be fed but imagine all the food that there will be if everyone brings one dish. This will be easy on everyone as every person will only have to bring one of something, not one person cooking for everyone.

Gather up with your relatives, or send them out little invitation cards telling them what they have to bring to the Christmas celebration. Make this organized to make sure that everyone doesn’t bring the same thing. This will be very exciting since you get to try many different foods that were prepared by different cooks making each meal unique. This will also be a great time to share recipes! Try this little idea and see how it works out.

Hello my friends, Thanksgiving is a special time. The festive meal, music, the Parade...

We can’t miss the famous Masy’s Thanksgiving Parade right. That is a requirement. Along with team

work in the kitchen. Every one doing a small project for the fest. And, having fun doing so. With

festive music in the background. Hopefully the weather is awesome. We are talking Thanksgiving

outside. With lots of odorless bug repellent already taken care of.

Here are some ideas for a healthy meal..

Check this idea out for your roast or turkey. Consider a crock pot that has a strainer attachment.

So the roast or the turkey won’t soak in all that grease. When you get ready to take it out.

Consider, letting cool a moment. Possibly covering it depending on where you leave it out. So

the meat can retain all its natural juices and that may help your meat get even better tasting.

Possibly get some fat free beef or turkey gravy and carefully pour over the meat as it is heated to

cook into it. YUM.

Also.. creamy mac & cheese with lots of fat free cheese on top. Consider o calorie butter spray on

top as well to make even better. Then pop it into the oven. Letting the cheese harden and darken.

Also, consider using fat free half and half just 2 cups maybe. Pouring it all around the casserole.

Then pop it in the pre-heated oven.

If you have a picnic you may want to consider keeping up with the weather reports. Slowly add

your fest goodies outside. Prepping all the details done. Getting lots of sleep is vital. Staying

active during this is also vital as well.

Also, consider how healthy can you make your fest. Avoiding margarines, fats,. Minimal fat on

your roast or turkey and only the highest quality meats possible and how low can you go on

price. Generic is also recommended as well. Checking the expiration dates, etc. If you plan on

using spices consider basal, Cinnamon, they are possibly cancer fighters. Peppermint is also

recommended. When it comes to your vegetable.. suggestion: broccoli, mustard greens. You

can’t get any better. I you like salads consider mixed. However, how low can you go on the

dressing. Even if it is low you can still gain weight when you add more on your salad. And,

avoiding whole boiled eggs to your salad that will rid of cholesterol.

Last but never least.. ha ha.. the traditional pumpkin pie with chocolate pudding on top. Fat

free of course. And, fat free butterscotch. YUM. With that famous fat free whipped cream.

And, cherry. Got have your fruit if possibly add some sliced peaches, etc on top as well.

After Santa is seen on the parade. You may want to consider going where it is not crowded.

And still getting in on those awesome deals. Keeping those receipts again, it vital. For return

purposes.

You may also want to reconsider NOT buying clothes for Christmas. That can be done

after Christmas When the sales are even better. Just lots of family type games, outdoor

activities, toys and more toys.

Christmas gifts that bring the family together.

Possibly decorate the Christmas tree with small toy like ornaments such as

hot cars,. I couldn’t resist adding that in.

Above all… consider hugs and affection for one and another. Being sensitive to feelings,.

Looking out for each other. Reminding each one how important they are in the family.

If you believe in prayer. And, God. Thanking him for the fest and the having the family

together is so awesome,. Keeping the prayer short but important.

Also, table manners are vital as well. Asking everyone to please pass the food around

nicely asking everyone to dress up in there best outfits. Keeping in mind the table looks

great so does the people around it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all…

My class’s excursion.

Last year, I had a wonderful excursion with my classmates. That was the last year of us at high school so we decided to take a rest together before the university examination.

We had an one-day trip to Thay pagoda which is not far away from our school. We started at very early morning so as to reach the destination a.s.a.p. We wanted to play more and more without any pressure of the examination. We talked and sang happily during the way so by the time we arrived, everyone felt very highly enthusiastic in visiting the famous pagoda.

It’s situated on the foot of a mountain which makes the air surround very fresh and quite. Moreover, that wasn’t the time of its festival so we could enjoy the holy atmosphere freely. We visited the famous Long Chieu Lake and got into the pagoda. After praying and visiting around the pagoda, we stopped to eat lunch and have a short rest in the shade of the bamboo tree. In the afternoon, we continued to visit the other famous places such as Cao pagoda, Phat Tich cave, Cac Co cave, Sky bazaar and many small pagodas and caves surround.

We took many photos, had many laughs and till the time leaving for home, we all thought we had had a good memory for last school days.
