Medical Practices of The 14th Century and The Church

During the middle ages, not much was known about human anatomy and much of the medical knowledge in existence was based on ancient philosophy rather than scientific fact. Doctors and local wise women played a big part in the medical practices of the 14th century but the Church also held a lot of sway on the subject as for many, illness and disease was seen as a punishment from God.
