An Independent Voter's View of Our Common Good.

Capitalism, Not A Dirty Word

Each of us has different things to be thankful for and should pause to show gratitude. However, some general things which we all profit by are usually overlooked. For example, did you ever give any thought to the fact that because of our capitalistic system of free enterprise, a person in this country may enjoy many things beyond the dreams of even the very rich of many other countries. Capitalism provides an enormous common wealth which can be shared in some way or another by every American.

You may have begun your life in a hospital which would not have been built and staffed without huge amounts of capital. During the first few days of your life, you were provided with care and medicine which only a collective source of money could have financed. The expenditures for equipment and medical research are so enormous that it is extremely difficult for the average person to comprehend. The personnel costs, past and present, are also a contribution toward our capitalistic way of life. The babies born at home benefit from things like ready-to-eat formulas and prepared foods, whose very preparation was made possible by large capital expenditures.

The wide variety of foods which anyone can obtain without regard to the season of the year would not be possible unless investments were made to produce, prepare, transport, store and eventually sell them. The average farmer needs capital to purchase land. equipment, seeds and also fertilizer which he as an individual could not afford. Not only farm loans but also home mortages are made available through outlays of capital.

When the average homeowner purchases large appliances, furniture and other household items such as heating furnaces, he usually relies on credit which is readily available, and at reasonable interest rates. The family automobile is another example of a typical credit or installment purchase which millions of people in other countries envy. Again, fluctuating but relatively cheap interest rates make it possible for even a young married couple to own numerous items, including a late- model car and a modern home.

Our workers receive compensation for their labor which on a world-wide scale is extremely high. Wages and other worker’s benefits are a direct result of capital being used to better every man’s life and at the same time provide a profit. Insurance and its related benefits are also made possible by capital, whether the person or a possession is insured. Another form of insurance is a pension and the required funds become available because big money, capital, provides profits which can be distributed or reinvested for later use.

Did you ever consider the innumerable facilities provided us by capital? Just a few examples are uitilities such as electricity, water, sewage, telephones, modern highways including bridges and tunnels, mass transit systems and as previously mentioned, medical facilities. The list could continue but the point is that these things and many others are the direct result of capital. Progress results from using money for personal or public projects that benefit the general welfare of our nation. Additionally, education and skills have and should remain the concern of every person who wants to keep our country great and competitive in industry. So let us extend our thanks to God for our being in a country where capitalism is the basis of our wealth both in reality and for future use. We are assured, each of us, of receiving a share of these riches by reasonably contributing our time and labor. We can be thankful that people who have money are willing to use it constructively and profitably for the good of mankind and thus enable us to continue to enjoy our high standard of living. Yes, capitalism is not a dirty word.

Politics (Aristotle)

Politics (Aristotle)

In addition to his works on ethics, which address the individual, Aristotle addressed the city in his work titled Politics. Aristotle considered the city to be a natural community. Moreover, he considered the city to be prior in importance to the family which in turn is prior to the individual, “for the whole must of necessity be prior to the part”.[ He also famously stated that “man is by nature a political animal.” Aristotle conceived of politics as being like an organism rather than like a machine, and as a collection of parts none of which can exist without the others. Aristotle’s conception of the city is organic, and he is considered one of the first to conceive of the city in this manner.

The common modern understanding of a political community as a modern state is quite different to Aristotle’s understanding. Although he was aware of the existence and potential of larger empires, the natural community according to Aristotle was the city (polis) which functions as a political “community” or “partnership” (koinōnia). The aim of the city is not just to avoid injustice or for economic stability, but rather to allow at least some citizens the possibility to live a good life, and to perform beautiful acts: “The political partnership must be regarded, therefore, as being for the sake of noble actions, not for the sake of living together.” This is distinguished from modern approaches, beginning with social contract theory, according to which individuals leave the state of nature because of “fear of violent death” or its “inconveniences.”

Politics in the Philippines is like Show Business.

There have been so many political issues in the country these past few years. From impeachment hearings, meetings, debates or even campaigns, one thing is very much certain – someone has to be the “face of TV”. It’s like a reality show of finding the newest “it” boy or girl. Some of them started out as an unknown to the public eye and became a sensation overnight. I could imagine a director saying to them “the camera loves your face.”

Like in showbiz, drama is also one of the favorite moments in political gatherings. I remember the impeachment hearing of former president Erap Estrada in 2001. It was Perfecto Yasay, one of the star witnesses who seemed to have climbed to stardom after his testimony that probed the EDSA revolution that ousted Estrada. Thanks to the media people also, he got more exposure when he was featured in some shows that seemed to have “getting-to-know-more” themes. I don’t know how he did that but he seemed to have won over some supporters. After a few times of being on TV, he became somehow a superstar hero or maybe he had been told by advisers about it, last 2001 election, he attempted to run as a senator. The voters perhaps didn’t see him as a worthy hero, however. He didn’t win!

Another witness who attempted to be a dramatic star in politics was Chavit Singson. He was the face of an ordinary person (though in reality he is a rich businessman) who betrayed his close friend Erap. Even in movies, antagonist seldom wins favor from the audience. Being an antagonist in the eyes of Erap fans, Singson also lost the senatorial seat he ran for.

There are so many scandal issues in showbiz. It is everywhere, from the internet, TV news, radio, tabloids and other means of communication channels including small talks on the streets and barbershops. Politics on the other hand, also has its scandalous moments. One of the recent incidents involved the former president Gloria Arroyo. Even with metal braces that made her look like a hopeless movie leading star, she was held at the airport when she attempted to fly abroad for her so-called medication. Some called it harassment. I don’t know what to call it but perhaps another political drama that caused chaos in a public place feasted by the swarming media.

Her ‘poor’ medical condition was made known only after she was accused of corruption and other piles of issues. It was somehow similar to the situation of former president Erap Estrada. When Estrada was convicted and was bound to stay in prison, he was then called to be “medically frail.” He had undergone some medications and treatments after that. Perhaps it was just pure coincidence. Or perhaps it was just another political drama.

With the recent heat of the trial of CJ Corona, there’s lots of showbiz-worthy exposures for the prosecutors, the defense lawyers to the witnesses. I bet some of them would attempt to run this coming election… Tsk tsk… this cycle will never end…

And what about during election campaigns…? Photos of smiling, down-to-earth and people-loving candidates become the “face of the every corner.” It’s so showbiz…!

Step Child To Religious Politics.

Religious groups always amaze me in terms of their out look on life. Or perspective concerning society. Besides stepping out side the guidance of the lord’s scriptures. Which all faiths does so kindly. They all accept the lies mixed around truth when politicians step into the arena of getting elected.

Groups that call themselves American Family of Social Value, loves to operate as a representative of the whole society. Except, they only represent the fake people in society. Who doesn’t comprehend that that ALL churches operate around one word. And that word is IMAGE created to leave a false impression upon people.

Do we know which members has committed adultery? Do we know which member truly had an abortion? Or isn’t in favor of certain logic in society. We know they ALL isn’t focus on the same agenda. Because if you want WORLD PEACE. Which group has the strength in numbers to accomplish that go. Not the military because they based around a defense mindset.

But religious leaders operates on a personal journey that affects society harshly. Think, if they tackle correct matters constantly like racism in the world. They might be able to change society. Except, many are comfortable not tackling important issues in the world. Southern conservatives seems bent on preaching according to their views. Because any falls in that devil in disguised philosophy of practicing what you preach.

We loves to state that the federal government shouldn’t step their business into society matters. But notice, the same mouth pieces loves to dictate to the government. Whether it’s gay rights. Watch the church. Offering their dictation to the government about it. Whether is abortion. Watch the church offering their assessment about it.

Politicians, can always turn to the states with the so called conservatives in them. And, the reasons they are so called is because it’s okay to advise them. Just don’t tell them because that’s what they like to do.

God and rights s a conservative motto. Personal liberties and the second amendment is a requirement. People, who states they love people? Will shoot you down in the next breath. But remember they are church goers rying to live according to their own wishes. While using the slogan, we are conservative.

Watch, the way the South breaks many moral codes. Then twist it around under the spell of politics. You know. Lie to me and I’ll believe it because it’s factual when fiction is involved.

An introduction to the concept of modernism and the principal features of it that are usually included in a definition.

Modernism is a term that has different meanings for different people depending on the discipline with which the individual is involved and her ideology and political positions. Consequently, there is no single answer to the question ‘what is modernism?’ which will not be contested. However, there are certain features that are commonly used to discuss modernism and which will be referred to here.

The first feature is temporal in nature: that is, it is related to a specific period of time. Modernism refers to something which has happened comparatively recently, if not at the current time. Certainly it has occurred after a previous historical period that might be considered ‘traditional,’ ‘feudal’ or ‘primitive.’ It is also generally considered to mark a definite transition from the previous historical period to the modern period which occurs in a comparatively short period of time and is signaled by a number of political or cultural events (e.g. revolution, book, social movement and so forth).

Second, modernism is generally (although not universally) considered to be a positive thing: this is evident on the political left, for example, since left-leaning politics are involved with rectifying the structural and systemic inequalities endemic in society. However, it has also become more evident in right-wing politics, which has taken on the concept and discourse of ‘reform’ as a means of cementing equalities inequalities and creating and sustaining new forms of inequality. In general society, it is evident that young people in general prefer new and different products – to some extent, of course, this is stimulated by the relentless churn of capitalist production but there does seem to be something within human nature that is also influential here, as new generations (and previously suppressed minorities) want to take the opportunity to demonstrate their own creativity and their own preferred genres that highlight that creativity. It is also the case that the use of ‘traditional’ items of cultural production – historical items defined as ‘classic’ or ‘classical’ – are used as markers of class through supposed possession of taste and refinement in a society in which ostentatious display of wealth and privilege is no longer considered acceptable.

Third, modernism is generally conflated with technology, broadly defined. Technology incorporates much more than the use of new machines and different ways of making and doing things; it includes also varieties of managerial and organizational innovation and administration. Doing things in a different way (even if with the intention of keeping things exactly the same according to the ‘reform’ agenda of the right) is considered an important sign of modernism and one which no serious person or institution can afford to ignore.

Dramatized Biography based on real events in Cass Pennant's life.

Cass Pennant

Cass Pennant: (Narrating-directly to audience) Abandoned when I was six weeks old. The leader of one of the most notorious football hooligan firms by the age of twenty, jailed for four years just years later and shot three times and I am still alive to tell the tale. My name’s Cass.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) As ya can tell, my life hasn’t exactly been plain sailing. Being the only black boy in my home town of Slade Green, I experienced racism day after day. In fact I was beaten constantly, sometimes by random passers-by. My real parents threw me into care just weeks after I was born. Even to this day I do not know who they are, or their reasons for abandoning me. But, Doll Chambers bless her heart and her husband Cecil, decided to foster me, a black baby from Dr Barnado’s orphanage.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) It was at the age of ten when I started suffering the full consequences of being the only black boy in the Slade Green. I only had one wish, and that was to look like everyone else. Every morning, I awoke, dreading another day at school. The violence started as soon as I stepped out the house. The lady I called Mum, Doll, would make me my favourite breakfast, but I always left it lying on the table. I had to make sure I was early so I could escape the brutal beating from the boys who would wait for me on the bridge.

(Sound of knife and folks clattering)

Doll Chambers: Come on son, you’re gonna’ be late again! Come eat ya breakie?

Cass Pennant: I ain’t hungry.

Doll Chambers: You’re never hungry in the morning. I do worry about you son.

Cass Pennant: I’ll be late, I’ve got to go.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) However, I wasn’t always that lucky; more often than not they would be there, waiting. It came part of my daily routine. The bullying wasn’t just because of my skin colour. There was a problem with my name as well. I was given the name Carol when I was at Dr Barnado’s. That was another reason why I was tormented daily. Imagine if you were growing up on the outskirts of London with the name Carol! Then, one day, I found myself watching a boxing match, Cassius Clay vs. Henry Cooper. Clay was the best fighter I had ever seen. That’s how I adopted the name Cass.

(Sound of bath filling up)

Doll Chambers: Violence isn’t going to get you anywhere Carol.

Cass Pennant: Stop f**king calling me Carol!

Doll Chambers: (Angrily) Don’t you dare talk to your mother like that!

Cass Pennant: It’s a girl’s name! Why can’t you call me Cass? That’s what my mates call me.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) And that’s how it happened. At the age of 16, my old man, Cecil decided to take me to see his beloved football team, West Ham. His pre-match rituals involved a double helping of cash (pie and mash), and a few pints in the Boleyn pub in Upton Park. I remember it like it was yesterday. From outside, I could hear the wonderful noise of West Ham fans in full voice. However, as soon as I walked in the pub, everything changed.

(Football chants followed by an awkward silence)

West Ham Fan: Who the hell is this Pat Boom (Coon) that you’ve brought into the pub?

Cecil: Easy mate, he’s just a kid.

West Ham Fan: (Rudely) Country’s gone to pot if you ask me.

Cecil: Don’t worry son, ignore him.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) The whole place went quiet. I could feel everyone’s eyes staring at me, almost like I was an alien. But no matter how bad it got, my Dad was always there to pat me on the back and reassure me I would be alright.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Two years later, I returned to Upton Park to see West Ham with a couple of mates. Wolverhampton Wanderers at home. A 3-3 draw meant both teams had to take a share of the points. We were walking back to the train station after the match, when we decided to take a short cut down a back road. In the distance we could see a blur of figures accompanied by the noise of intimidating chants. We walked a little closer, and discovered the Wolverhampton fans had bumped into West ham after the game. I promised my Mum I would not get in any more trouble, and walked off in the opposite direction. We turned the corner, and saw another group of men, who looked familiar.

Hooligan 1: Oi are you Wolves scum?

Cass Pennant: No no, look at our shirts! We’re West Ham. They’ve brought a proper naughty firm mate.

Hooligan 2: In that case follow us or p*ss off home!

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) I knew I shouldn’t have followed them, but never being able to walk away from a good scrap, I did. This was the moment that changed my whole life.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Now, I had been in fights before, but this was different. You could feel the pure hatred in the air. Grown men determined to prove a point to the opposition through violence. However, after the violence had finished, members of West Ham United’s hooligan firm, the ICF, shook my hand. For the first time in my life I felt accepted. It was the months and years that followed that my life was completely transformed. I no longer experienced constant racist abuse. I had earned respect. In fact I became the leading figure in West Ham’s hooligan firm who travelled around the country visiting football grounds. Unfortunately it wasn’t the game that we remembered. All we remembered was our weekly fix of football violence that every ‘ooligan lived for.

(Sound of cameras taking pictures)

Margaret Thatcher: I wish we could get those responsible, and give them stiff sentences to prevent anyone else from ruining the wonderful game.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Then Thatcher came into office. She promised to crack down on football hooliganism. She wanted to put an end to our ‘little games’. It was only weeks after that I found myself making one of the biggest jaffa’s [cake] (mistakes) I have ever made in my life. Me and the ICF boys didn’t think we were getting enough recognition for the ‘work’ we was doing at the weekend. We completely forgot that what we were doing was actually illegal. We agreed to appear on national television to talk about football hooliganism. Even though we remained nameless, our faces were being beamed into every living room in England. It wasn’t until I arrived home that night, I realised how much of a mug I had been.

(Sound of key unlocking door)

Cass Pennant: Alright Mum, did you see me on the Television?

Doll Chambers: Yes I did! The whole of England did! What was you thinking!

Cass Pennant: Give me a break mum, I got paid good bee’s (money) for that!

Doll Chambers: You’ve gotta break out of this stupid habit or you’ll be locked up Cass!

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Then came the big one, Leeds United Away. This was the game that would separate the men from the kids. The perfect opportunity to prove to the footballing world that we were the top firm in England. Me and the boys met outside the pub to prepare for the fight of our lives…

Cass Pennant: This is the one lads. No going back now. We go for the top boys first, and the rest will crumble. This has got to be clean, and quick. If anyone of us gets caught, we all go down.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Old Bill somehow knew about our plans. They were waiting for us after the attack. Being six foot, and the only black man in the firm, it wasn’t hard for them to find me. I was arrested, and sentenced to 4 years,

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Anyone who says they liked prison is lying. It was terrifying, even for me. I had a lot of free time to think about what I had done. I decided to write an autobiography to keep my brain active. I always fancied myself as an author in school. On my day of release, I returned to the main office to receive my belongings. I had 6 notepads in my hand which I had used to write my autobiography. Like everything in my life, taking the books out of the prison would not be as easy as I first thought.

Cass Pennant: Cass Pennant…

Police Attendant: Here you go, Carol Pennant. Excuse me, what’s that you’ve got there?

Cass Pennant: Just a few things I’ve just been writing

Police Attendant: Prison rules state you cannot take anything out of here that you did not have when you entered

Cass Pennant: Come on mate, that’s my future.

Police Attendant: What future is there for a pathetic football hooligan like you?

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Luckily for me, someone from the prison read what I had written, and managed to get the books back to me. I hoped to try to publish them in the future. I decided my days in the ICF were over, and managed to get a job as a bouncer at a local club. I met a girl, Elaine, who later became my wife. We even had a child together. However, my past as a football ‘ooligan never seemed to disappear. I had made many enemies in my time, who wanted revenge. When word got around that I was working as a bouncer I was literally a sitting duck. On a cold November night, my life took another dramatic turn…

Cass Pennant: Alright lads, we expecting another full house here then?

Bouncer 1: Cass, behind you!

Arsenal Hooligan: Oi! black West Ham b*stard! (Sound of three gunshots)

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) Shot three times in the chest. The doctors said I should ‘ave been brown bread (dead) but I believe the love from my wife Elaine helped me to pull through. The shooting hadn’t just affected me physically. I suffered many mental problems. I continuously had visions of my attacker pointing a gun at me. It was driving me insane. I had to do something about it and when one of my old mates phoned me to tell me he knew who my attacker was, something inside made me wanna kill him to put an end to the torture.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) I had tracked my attacker, an Arsenal fan down to a pub in North London. I had got hold of a gun, and made the short journey from the East End. I entered the pub and immediately recognized my target. The boys followed me in, all armed with weapons. I pointed the gun at the mug’s head…

Cass Pennant: You alright mate? You look a bit scared.

Arsenal Hooligan: Please Cass, kill me and you’ll be straight back in prison again!

Cass Pennant: Get on your knees and beg.

West Ham Hooligan: What you waiting for Cass, take the pr*cks head off!

Arsenal Hooligan: Please Cass, Please!

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) But I didn’t pull the trigger. Standing in that pub made me realise that all the sh*t I’d been through was caused by me. I wanted to see my child grow up. I felt like I was responsible to guide him on the right path in life, like my mother had tried to do with me. I’ve spent my spare time finishing my autobiography which I released in 2002. I’ve also published many other books as well as setting up my own publishing company.

Cass Pennant: (Narrating) In my life, I had experienced more violence than you would ever want in one thousand lifetimes. I had been beaten, stabbed and shot, but I handed out my fair share as well. I have learnt there are better things to enjoy in life rather than kicking someone’s loaf’a bread (head) in over a football match. This has been the story of a reformed hooligan, me, Carol Pennant.

He tried. Obama hates where he lives now, and his wife well.....My opinion, thats all.

Obama, is he trying to throw this upcoming election? You be the judge. Anyone who is married knows, when your spouse is not happy, your not happy. The Obama’s do not seem to be happy in there current homestead. Oh sure, the perks are great, but they would be better without the work part. The Obama’s seem to want out, to throw the upcoming election. It seems that the crazy antics are getting even crazier and Obama himself is surprised that many are still on his side. He is doing so many unpopular things and yet, he stays on top which is a wrench in his machinery.

He raises taxes, popular. He attacks religion, popular. He throws money away, popular. He announces to our enemies when we will leave wars, popular. Eat hundred dollar a pound steak while the rest of the country eats, government cheese, popular. He raises deficits and sky rockets the debt, popular. He denounces peace loving tea party members, and yet, calls the savage Wall Street Occupiers a grass root movement.Plays golf every other weekend, goes on vacation more times then the Hilton’s or the Marriott’s, popular. He denounces Israel, popular. Stop pipe lines that will create real jobs, popular. He even let his wife, our first lady be in three television commercials wearing the same outfit but that didn’t work because of channel surfing. He must be at his wits end because coming up with ways to throw this election is becoming work and we all heard what Obama said about his own laziness. He always thought from the beginning, that if he blamed Bush, he would be hated and that just didn’t seem to work at all. Now he is blaming congress for all his George Costanza qualities, and yet, still popular than ever.

What will it take for Obama to be a one term President? He just needs to send out the memo to all the media, his cronies in Chicago, and let Joe Biden talk more. I guess Obama doesn’t want it to seem that obvious. Obama, if all you want is out, try telling America, be honest for once and you will see it worked. If I am wrong about your plans, then why are you doing what you are doing? You are the Howard Stern of Politics, you offend everyone. Just a thought, if Jan Brewer’s book comments made him angry, wait till he gets a load of me. He indeed, tin my opinion, is America’s Glitch. This is my own opinions. If it offends the man, then he should make it a four year proposition.

How Mitt Romney (or another candidate) can win the nomination and election.

In a little under 9 months, the American people (and the Electoral College) will decide if Barack Obama will remain President for another 4 years, or if there is a more suitable person for the Oval Office (there is). Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum all have issues with their respective campaigns, whether it’s accusations of adultery, Washington insidership, unfathomable changes to domestic and foreign policy, or being “too conservative”. However, the one thing that they all have in common is that they don’t have the electability of Mitt Romney. Personal feelings about his politics aside, he’s the most well-liked candidate, the most “presidential”. Policies past, present, and future will always come back though, and that’s how he earned the tag of Massachusetts moderate. Eventually, I think we all know that he will be proclaimed the front runner for the Republican ticket in November, but if he wants to actually win, he’s going to eventually have to pull some ideas from his competitors and show that he is the Republican that everybody wants: strong on small government, strong on maintaining the Second Amendment, lower taxes, lower spending, and still able to compromise with the other side when necessary. What Obama’s doing wrong is he’s keeping the government large and bureaucratic, and trying to run it himself and saying that “We can’t wait”. Well yes we can Mr. President. We can certainly wait for you to take the necessary steps through Congress to do something, and if Congress doesn’t like what you want to do, then there has to be a bigger reason other than your opinion that they want to rely on scare tactics and not move forward. I’m sure we’d all love to move forward, but you, nor your administration, want to cooperate and listen.

Lesson number one, Mitt: Don’t do that.

Lesson number two: Ron Paul, with the exception of his foreign policy and his burning desire to undo everything from the last 40 years at once, is the best candidate we have, not you.

Ron Paul used to be a Libertarian. These are the people who are truly for small government. They are the people who have espoused personal liberty and laissez-faire economics as the key to turning this train wreck economy around and back to greatness.

This doesn’t (or shouldn’t) mean that we should immediately turn back to the gold standard, or lower taxes to the bare minimum right away, or even undo the bureaucratic engorging in Washington that has happened over the last half century. That won’t work, because you have to give an economy that’s in a delicate state like ours time to adapt. If we were to change everything overnight, it would crush us. So, take baby steps instead, like cutting spending first. Instead of cutting taxes first, why not focus on cutting some spending, then cutting taxes afterward. Maybe then we could see some real growth in the country. We need to create jobs again, and we need to bring back American jobs that were sent overseas.

I’m sure Ron Paul wants to do all of that and more, and when he drops out of the race, we’d all do well to pay attention to at least some of what he says. Also, I know that it’s a very little discussed topic, but I strongly feel that we need to begin a dialogue on cannabis reform. Foregoing the (potential) moral issues at hand for a moment, I’d like to again refer to what the Republicans want: smaller government, economic growth, and jobs.

Other than the fact that there are those who believe that smoking pot is wrong, why is that it’s illegal? It’s never killed anyone. In fact, recent studies have shown that it’s impossible. Additionally, the Journal of the American Medical Association recently proclaimed that not only does marijuana not cause lung cancer, it actually has protective properties against it. It’s our nation’s largest cash crop, and we can’t come up with a reason to keep it illegal other than “it’s wrong” and “it’s addictive and harmful”. It is neither addictive nor harmful, and whether it’s wrong or not is up to us individually.’

Not so fun fact: Marijuana is classified as a Schedule I drug, right up there with heroin. That’s the government’s way of telling us that they are going to control it as tightly as possible because the two substances are both dangerous, lethal, and highly addictive. So are cigarettes and alcohol, both are not nearly as controlled as marijuana. Cocaine is actually a step down the controlled substances ladder, as Schedule II. Really?!

It’s not the government’s business to invade our personal privacy in any regard when we are not a threat to ourselves or others. Our so-called “leaders” in Washington are busy condemning crackdowns on the people of other nations, such that they choose to ignore their own crackdown on We the People and our inalienable rights.
