Can it be done?

I’ve just watched the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, and it had a deep impact on me. I think there’s really a beautiful lesson of life that we can all learn from in this movie. Please read the following quote from the movie. It embraces a beautiful philosophy of life:

I am a big believer in the power of the mind and power of positive thinking. When you believe in yourself, you shine and your glowing energy ("inner chi") attracts what you seek. When you believe in the beauty of your dreams, the world reflects back and opens its doors of opportunities to you. Beyond your greatest dreams.

It was 1692, and nobody was safe from being accused of a witch. This was the year the Salem witch trials began, which were a series of killings of people because they were thought to be witches. What caused the Salem witch trial hysteria of 1692? Some say it was caused by ergot, a poisonous fungus. Others say it was because four teenage girls wanted fame. Some even said it was because people wanted land.

A possible media conspiracy.

I shall choose to be happy, come whatever may, today! The life is so precious that I wouldn’t waste a moment in self-pity, unhappiness, depression and anxieties in handling the people and the circumstances.

Why things should always be treated as difficult, impossible, unachievable and hopeless? Why can’t we try to do things in a more positive way?
