How Far Do You Agree with The View That in Years 1934-9 Hitler Was Not in Control of The Third Reich?

In the earlier years of Hitler’s dictatorship over Germany, the Nazi party depended heavily on the army and big businesses to remove opposition. However once the Nazis came to full power they were able to dominate the political spectrum and began to implement their policies. Nonetheless many historians disagree that Hitler was in full control of the Third Reich as he wasn’t as involved as he could have been, and ordered loyal Nazi members make decisions. This view is expressed in Source 2 “Hitler often refused to take decisions”, as it talks about Hitler’s pride in his popularity and how he didn’t want to risk damaging his reputation. Source 1 talk about the cult of the Fuhrer and how he was adored and admired by the German people; this was important as Hitler’s popularity was the main focus of the Nazi regime as he was able to win support for his party. Source 3 agrees with Source 2 as it explains how Hitler would choose “the right man for the job”, Source 3 also talks about the power of Hitler’s popularity however explains that it wasn’t helpful in practical business.

The cult of the Fuhrer was important, as many historians believed that at the heart of the Nazi state and the Third Reich was Hitler’s leadership and personality. If Hitler was popular with the German people it would make new laws and policies easier to introduce as there was a general consensus for the Nazi party; therefore there would be less opposition and strikes occurring because of an unhappy German population. Hitlers personal popularity was used to legalize his policies as plebiscites could continuously be called on for support as stated in S1 “his personal ideological obsessions became translated into attainable reality”. Hitlers personality contributed to his powerful image, as S1 states that his huge “platform of popularity… made his own power position ever more unassailable” this also reflects the loyalty within the Nazi party as “none of the other leading Nazis ever challenged his supremacy”(S2) suggesting that Hitler was an omnipotent character. Hitlers power over the Nazi party was important when staying in control of the Third Reich as he had a party full of loyal members. S2 also states that Hitler would remove himself from “day to day decisions of government” so that he could take decisions quickly and not have to go through bureaucratic consultation. Hitler avoided making key decisions “especially when a decision might damage his popularity(S2), this shows us that he was conscious about his popularity, S3 also agrees with this view “Hitler was certainly careful not to associate himself with any measure that he thought might be unpopular”. Hitlers control of the Third Reich stemmed from his popularity with the German people and members within the party, he was able to use his popularity to make his ideas into reality and stay in power. Hitlers tactic of divide and rule was successful in maintaining his own political authority as argued by some intentionalists. The Nazi party was full of members trying to impress Hitler this led to cumulative radicalization, this is the idea that members were “working towards the Fuhrer” and in doing so they were coming up with new more radical theories to impress Hitler. This shows that Hitler had power over the Third Reich and he was all powerful as members of the Nazi party were remaining loyal despite the conflict within the party between individuals because of Hitlers deliberate use of “divide and rule”.

However some Structuralist argue that lack of direction and planning from Hitler resulted in a chaotic state structure with organizations and groups competing against each other, this is shown in S2 “he gave those men who were close to him conflicting responsibilities, which often resulted in a state of near anarchy”. The structuralists emphasize on the divide and rules, as the power structures in the Nazi party evolved and changed because of the poorly defined roles. This led to the growing radicalization of the Nazi party, and in turn made Hitler weak as it took the power away from him and he was proved to not have control over the Third Reich as it was seen as a “chaotic system of rival empires”(S2). S1 states that due to Hitlers popularity, actions could be legitimized, opposition was diffused, and the independence of the Nazi leadership was boosted. Although Hitlers popularity helped him gain support for the Nazi party it wasn’t useful in a political sense, as it was not much help “in the practical business of selecting goals, reaching decisions and making policy” (S3). S1 directly contradicts S3 as Historians argue that Hitler was not in full control of the Third Reich as he got other members of the Nazi party to carry out his orders and make decisions for him, suggesting that Hitler was a weak dictator; this view is expressed in S3 as “He had a preference… for choosing the right man for the job”. The fact that Hitler was afraid to make decisions as he risked damaging his reputation suggests he was a weak dictator as he was not prepared to take consequences of his actions this is shown in S2 as it states that when Hitler made a bad decision he “left his subordinates to thrash these out”.

Because of the chaotic nature of the Third Reich it can be argued that Hitler was not in full control as members were forced to compete against each other in order to impress Hitler and put forward radical policies and ideas. However I believe that Hitler did have control over the Third Reich as his popularity helped shape his omnipotent image and gain support for the Nazi party. The fact that Hitler had individuals in the Nazi party that were loyal enough to carry out his orders effectively and help him make decisions once again proves Hitler was omnipotent as no one in the Nazi party was trying to oppose him. As stated in S2 “Hitler could take any decision he wanted to and took some of his major decisions without consolation” this proves that Hitler was able to take control when he needed to and was seen as a central figure of the Third Reich.

Nazi Consolidation of Power in 1933 Was Primarily Due to The Use of Terror and Violence; How Far Do You Agree?

Nazi Consolidation of Power in 1933 Was Primarily Due to The Use of Terror and Violence; How Far Do You Agree?

There were many obstacles Hitler endured to obtain power in 1933, in this year he was appointed as Chancellor however the establishment that gave him this title were keen to hold onto their power. Hindenburg, a powerful and prestige president at the time, had support from, and control over the army, Hitler’s hope to consolidate full power was also restrained by the power of institution such as the Reichstag. Hitler was aiming to bring about a Nazi revolution in Germany, and his position as Chancellor would help him to achieve this.

Hitler used violence in order to consolidate power; however he balanced the use of terror with legal means. The Nazis understood that power had to be taken legally in order to get the widespread support from the majority of the German population. 50,000 SA, SS and Stahlhelm members were appointed as auxiliary policemen on the 22nd February in order to intimidate and terrorize Nazi opponents. This led to violence against communist and socialists, who were reluctant to act against Hitler; they misread the situation and believed Hitler’s new role as chancellor would lead to political and economic collapse, and in turn the formation of communist rule in Germany. With members of the Nazi party in the police force this enabled Hitler to order a police raid on the head office of the communist party, KPD. Hermann Goering, then claimed that evidence was found during the raid, communist conspiracy theories to seize power through force were supposedly found. With this new evidence Hitler had an excuse to use violence and terror as he could claim it was merely defensive. The Nazis closed down socialist newspapers, cutting off socialist propaganda, and members of the SA disrupted political meetings damaging any chances of the left side developing an idea on how to stop the increasing power of the Nazis. Violence was an important factor whilst consolidating Nazi power and it is proved to be increasingly important when paired with the strategy of propaganda.

On the 27th February 1933, the Reichstag building was set on fire and the communists were blamed. The use of propaganda meant that the Nazis could take full advantage of the event, and pass all the blame onto the communists who were portrayed as dangerous threats. Terror was used, as the next day 4000 communist were arrested due to the event, weakening the communist threat and proving the power of the Nazi party and Hitler. The Reichstag fire gave the Nazis the opportunity to use legal actions in order to consolidate power as the emergency decree gave the police the power to arrest suspected Nazi opponents without confronting the courts. Goebbels portrayed the emergency decree as a way to stop the spread of communism, and therefore it was welcomed by the vast majority of the German population as many feared communism. The decree gave Hitler legal reasons to arrest those he saw as a threat; because of propaganda he was able to use the decree to justify the arrest, imprisonment, and torture of many political opponents. By using violence, terror and intimidation Hitler was able to remove his political threats; at the General election in March 1933, all the communist deputies were barred from the Reichstag as a result Hitler gained a political advantage as the Nazis won the 1933 elections. After the elections the Nazis had gained the legal rights once again to destroy political opposition. The leader of the SS, Heimlich Himmler set up a concentration camp at Dachau where political opponents could be help in “protective custody”.

When presenting the Reichstag with the enabling act Hitler used force and intimidation as he brought with him the SA who swarmed the building. Again the presence of the SA put pressure on the government to pass the act, as they were reminded of the true power of the Nazis. The act granted Hitler four years of power as dictator in order for the act to be granted, the communist deputies were barred from the Reichstag and Goring was able to reduce the required number of votes needed to achieve the overall majority. In February 1933 attacks on churches took place as the Nazis saw organized religion as an enemy. The churches and religious figures supported the Enabling act as they feared the consequences if they didn’t, as they had seen what had happened to socialists and communists and did not wish to have the same fate.

After the Enabling Act had been passed, Hitler aimed to control all the social and economic aspects of Germany. First he dissolved the local state governments and introduced new state governors who were able to introduce Nazi policies. On May 2nd the offices of the social socialist trade union organization were raided by SA members and the organization was split up. The violence and terror used by the Nazis led to many socialist leaders fleeing the country as many had been killed or arrested and on June 22 the SPD was officially disbanded. The centre party, was the last party to be disbanded, and in June 1933, due to Himmler’s orders the most significant members of the party were arrested; again violence and terror was used to disband a political opponent, proving how important violence was in order for Hitler to consolidate power.

The use of violence was a key part in consolidating power in 1933; Hitler was able to use his position as chancellor to place members of the Nazi army into the police force. The propaganda used to exploit the Reichstag fire meant that Hitler could then use his legal rights to arrest communist and expose their theories of spreading communism worldwide. In order for the terror used to consolidate power to be effective it had to be connected with propaganda and legality, in order for the German people to side with the Nazis despite all the violence that was taking place. Therefore I agree that without violence Hitler wouldn’t have been able to intimidate and force his way to dictatorship as the terror was what caused people to back down and also caused parties to disband, paving the way for Hitler and the Nazi party to consolidate power.

Wherever you look nowadays there is someone telling us what is going to happen...why don't they just shut up?

I was reading a piece on the Internet just a couple of days ago, you know the kind of thing, the world is going to end on such and such a day, Jesus is coming back on this day or that day, those that have been good are OK, those that have been sinners have had it. There is also, apparently, a huge asteriod heading our way, it’s a race to see if that destroys us or the earthquakes and fire and brimstone get us first.

So why do all these people spend time in providing us with ‘prophetic’ warnings? Is it that they honestly believe any of the events could happen soon? Are they all just philantropic individuals intent on saving us from some awesome and doom filled end? Or could there be a more simple, and maybe sinister, meaning?

It is strange that the governments of the world seem not too bothered about these so called ‘coming events’. The modern day ‘prophets’ of course just pass this off with the usual ‘governments keeping the truth from us all’, or there is some ‘great conspiricy’ that prevents us from learning ‘the truth’. On the other hand should we not expect our governments to decry these doom mongers out of hand? After all there are some people that are very badly effected by some of these stories. Suicide pacts have been formed by some religious communes due to presumed ‘end times’ events. So, what is going on. I will tell you how I see it, and you must form your own opinions of course.

Firstly, all these so called prophets are after something. This could be getting you to buy their book, download their written works (for free even), listen to their broadcasts or maybe even watch them on TV. It lifts them to a higher level, they become ’someone’. Nothing wrong with that of course; if that’s what sails their boat then let them get on with it. However, when they start to tell us that they speak the truth, sometimes ‘in God’s name’, then it really is time shout out STOP! They know nothing more than you or me. They do NOT have any powers to allow them to see even one second into the future. There may well be a huge asteroid heading our way, we could all be wiped out by earthquakes and other natural disasters; yes, and maybe Jesus is returning to sort out the wheat from the chaff, but no one knows when, or even if, any of these things will happen. If you come across somebody who tells you they can, then they are lying to you. They are just misguided, or plain mischevious, people who should know better. So what’s the best way to ward off these pesky scoundrels? I’ll tell you what I do, and for me it works.

Live each day in the best way you can. Be good to your neighbour, kind to the young and the old, patient with those in between. Be as truthful as you can, honest in your dealings with others. Think before you speak, especially if you are angry. Eat well, drink alchohol in moderation, and smile as often as you can. What will all this do?

It probably won’t make you live any longer (although it might), it probably won’t make you rich (although it might). It will make you happier as a person, more fun to be around, and it will prevent you from being drawn into the realms governed by the so called prophets. There is a very short and funny little story about a man who predicted the start of World War 3, it goes something like this.

This man was going around telling anyone who would listen that WW3 was soon to start. This war would be devastating in it’s power, and many nuclear weapons would be used. Sure enough, war was declared and all the major nations formed into their differing power groups; it looked like the man was correct, and that all Hell was going to be let loose. In fact what happened was that the various nation groups thought about the consequences of where they were all heading, and decided to talk things out; but not before one single bomber had taken off loaded with a nuclear bomb. This bomber flew out and dropped the bomb it was carrying, down it went, screaming like the very devil from Hell himself. It landed but did not explode; it was a dud; it did not arm itself on the drop! However, there was one casualty. The bomb landed on the ‘prophet’; divine justice some might say. It’s just a story, but such a sweet ending don’t you think.

There exists in this world enough fear and trepidation without the need of these so called prophets peddling their ideas. Please, disregard them; all of them; you will find the world a much brighter place.

Children so crushed by Parenting they can't break free.

At the age of sixteen Candace waits for her mother to pick her up at school. Her mother is always late, sometimes very late. If she didn’t take extra lessons she could leave at 2:30 and take the bus. But she takes the extra lessons because she has nothing to go home to.

She takes the extra lessons and waits twenty, thirty, sixty minutes for her mother to arrive. And on one day a week when she takes a lesson here and another at a venue a mile away, she waits. She is always very late to the second class.

Why does she take these extra lessons? Why doesn’t she walk from one venue to another? Why does she wait?

She waits because she doesn’t exist, really. She has little volition, little sense of self importance. She has all the antecedents of a victim; the low self image, the inability to take control of her life, the putting up with poor treatment; simply put, Candace doesn’t know what it is like to be important to her parents, what it is like to be a person.

Cathy is her opposite. She’s being take the bus to school since she was six, and it’s only now, that she’s sixteen and her school is just off the road that her mother takes to go home that she’s been getting lifts. Her mother is never late, always interested in what she’s doing. It is Cathy who doesn’t want to answer, not that she isn’t asked. She sees herself as important and her personality bubbles. Whether she makes the right choices is her choice, and she knows it is her choice.

Too many parents seem to be ‘interested’ in their children but make it clear they are a burden. The child is afraid to exert her sense of self, afraid to remonstrate with the parent. Candace can never confront her mother with the lateness. For her mother would stop picking her up.

Candace mother likes having the power, and uses it. When she wants to go somewhere she goes, and she couldn’t care less who is inconvenienced. When someone else needs to go somewhere, if they depend on her they will be late. Very late.

If Candace grew a backbone she would decide that the hassle of taking a bus or walking reaps great success in the development of her independence.

Power is not something to ignore in our world, and George Orwell has lots to say about it in his novel, 1984.

Our entire world is defined by power. It would be very difficult to think of any event or action that happens which is unrelated to power or a power struggle. Because of this, almost all literature is also about power in some way. One power struggle is very clearly pictured in 1984. George Orwell shows us Winston’s struggle to free himself from the Party. This is a relatively small event in the world of 1984, but it can be easily applied to the rest of humanity.

In Winston’s world, every scrap of power is reserved for the Party. They choose for Winston and all others what they should do, how they should do it, and when. It’s not entirely obvious that this is the case, because it looks like the people choose to follow the Party on their own. There are no laws in Oceania. It seems like people can do as they please. The problem is that although the decisions often come from their own minds, their own minds are no longer actually their own. Their minds have been corrupted by the Party. They do what the Party wants them to do because they have been made to believe that is best. Devices such as doublethink and crimestop lead them to believe fully in the lies of the Party. Even when people like Winston believe they are rebelling, they are actually under close supervision, and their actions are easily stopped.

In fact, this attempted rebellion of Winston’s is what makes up the whole book, and it tells us a whole lot about power; at least what Orwell believes about it. Winston begins with thoughtcrime. In his mind, he realizes that things aren’t right, and he wants to change that. When begins trying to undermine the Party, he does so simply by doing things he knows they wouldn’t approve of. He buys a diary and an old fashioned pen to write in it with. As his ‘rebellion’ grows, his biggest crime would likely be his renting an unmonitored room for the purpose of having a love affair. Winston isn’t even sure if the Party will ever know what he is doing, but he believes that simple disobedience is the only way to make a statement. Although there are no actual laws, there are ways of knowing what the Party won’t like. It seems that the number one indicator that something is probably wrong is if it has any connections with the past. The junk shop was very old fashioned, and that’s where both Winston’s first, and his largest acts of rebellion took place, as well as many others, including his purchase of the paperweight.

Winston isn’t stupid. His actions are not exactly a bad way to rebel, but he simply does not have enough knowledge to know how unlikely his plan was to work. He didn’t know that Mr. Charrington was a member of the thought police. He didn’t know there was a hidden telescreen in his secret room. He didn’t know that O’Brien and the rumored Brotherhood were both fake. Most importantly, he didn’t know that the Ministry of Love would torture him to any necessary extent in order to alter his sense of logic. Winston’s rebellion didn’t work. Despite its extreme subtlety (so subtle, in fact, that he admits it might never make any real difference), it was still discovered and suppressed. It failed because the Party had already acquired enough power such that it could stop any attempt to remove that power.

This is what Orwell really has to say in 1984. He knows that power is dangerous. He knows that those who are given power can easily become corrupted by it. If left unchecked, this corruption will lead them to take more power, and this extra power will lead to more corruption. It is an endless cycle, which can easily get out of hand. All it takes for this cycle to continue endlessly is for those involved to admit that what they want is power, simply for the sake of power. At a certain point, there is no turning back. Through a possibly nonexistent, yet immortal leader, the collection of power is able to grow eternally, because it had reached a point where nothing can compete with it. Even when people like Winston rebel, the Party has enough power to literally change his very mind. Not only will he obey the Party, but he will want to obey the Party, because he loves Big Brother.

Which is more embarrassing and fatal in politics? Corruption or indecent behavior of politicians when it spread to the community? In Indonesia, perhaps the answer is when the sex scenes spread.

Which is more embarrassing and fatal in politics? Corruption or indecent behavior of politicians when it spread to the community? In Indonesia, perhaps the answer is when the sex scenes or not senonohnya spread.

Wa Ode Nurhayati still a member of Parliament from the National Mandate Party faction despite the Corruption Eradication Commission arrested for alleged corruption case the Regional Infrastructure Development Acceleration funds. Democrats also retained in the House despite Angelina Sondakh Putri Indonesia 2001 was named as a suspect.

However, Arifinto, politicians from the Prosperous Justice Party, withdraw immediately from the parliament “only” because they caught a porn site while opening Plenary Session of Parliament, April 2011. Yahya Zaini, a politician from the Golkar Party faction, also withdrew from the House because of obscene video of her and a singer spread in the community. Max Moein, from the PDI-P, in 2008 was also dismissed as a member of parliament for allegedly sexually abusing members of his staff.

Now, a similar scandal emerged again through the circulation of images and video scenes of alleged misconduct involving members of the House initials KMN. This case is still running. However, if you look at previous similar cases, the solution can be estimated.

However, the sex scandals in politics does not only happen in Indonesia. U.S. President Bill Clinton in 1998 never to be bothered by a scandal due to its relationship with the White House staff, Monica Lewinski. In the meantime, though denied, (former) Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi has also been accused of having sex with underage girls.

Finally, sex has become (one of) the most powerful weapon to destroy a person in politics. However, sex can be an effective weapon to gain power and political power.

Cleopatra was born in BC’s 69-remembered as someone who uses sex and her beauty to win political battles. To avoid wastage of the elite circle of the Palace of Egypt, he was married to Ptolemy XIII, her brother. Designed to address the coup supporters of his brother, he is allied with and married the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar and Mark Antony

Citing Michel Foucault, French philosopher, power and sexuality are mutually interfere. Sexuality into the public discourse. How the discourse of sexuality is an expression of power. It looks, for example, when power was trying to learn and talk about sex to intervene for the sake of setting population growth.

Hendrawan Supratikno, member of Parliament from the PDI-P faction, said, without having a “brake” a strong, lawmakers will be easily trapped and destroyed by sexual problems. “The power to make House members can enjoy everything to excess. However, if the ‘gas pedal’ continues to step on to enjoy without control, destruction will come at any time, without warning, and may look silly. For example by a sex scandal, “he said.

This Essay explores the American Dream and the goals in which people take to accomplish it.

The American Dream and the Family

In life, humans attempt to look for a beacon of hope and prosperity to aid them in their quest for fame and power. In such a search, individuals most often turn their attention to the United States, a city upon a hill for the rest of the world. Some of these individuals can only dream of reaching the United States and spontaneously becoming wealthy and famous. Other people, however, who have spent their entire lives in the “Land of Opportunity” would look at this dream of fame and wealth as nothing more than a fool’s dream who has spent his entire life dreaming and not working. These natives of the United States have seen otherwise of such a dream, and realize that the only way to successfully turn this dream into a reality is to work hard. In Tennessee Williams “The Glass Menagerie”, Williams presents 4 unique characters: Tom, Laura, Amanda, and Jim, and uses them to portray the struggle all Americans have with achieving the American Dream. Through the intertwined relationships and actions of these characters, Williams suggests that the American Dream is obtainable but difficult, and in the quest to obtain such power and wealth, family relationships can become detrimental.

Williams early in his play introduces Amanda, a woman with a crippled daughter(Laura), and a husband who has ran off to an unknown destination. Amanda was “fooled” by the very man with whom she believed she could prosper with. By putting herself “at the mercy of a handsome appearance”(William, 46), Amanda entrusts the responsibility of hard work and the achiever of prosperity into the hands of her husband. By doing so she fails to realize that it is her hard work that will lead herself to prosperity not the hard work of others. Later in the novel Amanda does not learn from her previous mistake, and entrusts Laura’s “future husband” to support her. By allowing family relationships to take precedent over her own desire to become wealthy and live a comfortable, Amanda embodies the very outcome that Williams attempts to warn us about. If Amanda was to have rather pursued a comfortable life and then afterward settled down into a family relationship, perhaps she would have ended up in a more successful situation, and not in a slum trying to dig herself out. By attempting to leech off others, Amanda eventually ends up stifling the future of those closest around her.

Tom, Amanda’s son, and the only person to bring money for the family, is forced to put behind his dreams and ambitions so that he can support his family. When Tom attempts to apply for the Merchant Marines his mother confronts him, “I saw that letter you got…I know what your dreaming of….but not until there’s somebody to take your place”(Williams 35). Tom’s obligation to serve his family stands as a detriment to his dreams of going out on his own one day and accomplishing what he wanted in life(he was unsure of what he wanted to accomplish, but he wanted to leave). Williams also introduces a 2nd aspect of Tom by showing that this strained lifestyle due to his family relations cause him to not work his hardest. Only in the end when Tom runs away from his stifled life, “I didn’t go to the moon, I went much further”, is he able to escape from his mother. Tom realizes that the only way to pursue his dreams is to leave his previous life. Although Tom misses Laura and feels sorry for her, he no longer allows that to get in the way between himself and his future. Williams exemplifies this in his use of metaphors, “I didn’t go to the moon. I went much farther”, adds to the idea that a family could become a hindrance to an individuals ultimate goals, and once this realization is made and such a problem is neutralized, not only will the individual succeed as he had dreamed, but he or she will go farther than ever imagined. Williams attempts to bolster this image once again when he introduces another character who is not in the same situation as Tom, Amanda, or Laura

Jim, a down to earth and humble character, ends up with no family ties, and is able to pursue his own future to the fullest. Jim is introduced when he comes over to have dinner with the Wingfields. Jim and his plans for advancement are revealed when it told that Jim is studying “radio engineering and public engineering”(46). Without a family to cling to part of his paycheck, Jim is able to pursue his own desired career paths. Williams shows through Jim that if an individual wants to achieve the standards of the “American Dream”, he or she must make him or her self the primary objective, and put his or her family relations aside to accomplish what he or she has set out to do. Later in the play, Jim reveals a 2nd trait, his mental maturity. Likely arising from being free from binding obligations, such a maturity shows that Jim is not only taking the right steps physically, but is also mentally adapted to accomplish such a huge goal such as the American Dream. Only in such a state of success is Jim then able to pursue women. Jim’s overall character reveals the ideal candidate to achieve the American Dream.

In the end, in order to achieve the American Dream, one must work hard and not allow family relations get in the way of such a tremendous goal. It is the quest for such a goal that matters. In order to achieve a goal, one must truly desire it. Passion must coarse through their blood, for anything but success is utter failure. What truly separates success from failure is the desire to achieve such a goal. One who works hard and places his faith into what he truly desires will be met with success, but that man or woman who aimlessly does not have him or her self fully dedicated will be met with failure and will always remain but a dreamer. However, as times change, the dreamers dream on, starving on what could have been, whereas the comfortable corpulent men admire their work and dedication of the past. If those who want to accomplish goal, be it minor or major, were to put in all their effort, work until they couldn’t work anymore, and stay dedicated throughout their adventure of accomplishment, then this world could be a lot more content and peaceful place for everyone.

Lamenting the lost ballot box....

“We, the people, are not free. Our democracy is but a name. We vote? What does that mean? We choose between Tweedledum and Tweedledee.” — Helen Keller

Odd, don’t you think, that the most insightful views of society are often presented by those who have no sight at all? Helen Keller was, obviously, an intelligent woman; no matter how patient the teacher, a stupid person could not have become the woman Ms. Keller became, without at least a modicum of basic ability to think. To think well, one must learn to observe well, and she has definitely got that down, for in no other way could this statement have been made. And that, to me, is the point. She is(was) a smart woman, and if this observation can be considered to be true, (differences of opinion on that point may be presented, and welcome, but for another discussion…. for now, lets discuss this….) why isn’t anyone else saying or doing anything to address the issue?

Well, I’ll tell ya, pardner, it’s like this…. Tweedledum and Tweedledee already fixed the election, and nobody noticed. Yup. It’s true. I would say that the voting process in this country has been a sham for oh, about 49 years, give or take a month or two. It got shot to hell, right about the same moment the rifle bullet struck the back of Jack Kennedy’s neck on that fateful day in 1963 when he was assassinated, and the last hope of the American people died with him……

When LBJ took office, it was the end of democracy as we know it. From that time to now, there has been NO candidate for the Presidency of this country who would have been, or ever again will be, allowed to run, if the true rulers of the nation did not, or do not approve.

Our true rulers have been underground, in the background, for a long time; they don’t like the public’s eye turned upon them, for they know that if the light falls on them, it won’t take long for all their evil to start to show. These men (there are no women in the group, other than those who become even more male than their counterparts, in their vicious disregard for the rest of humanity) have been in effective control of the political process for even longer; it just became more obvious at the time of Kennedy’s demise, and has been harder to cover up ever since.

I find it disturbing to see Mitt Romney out there, seemingly with their approval, as he is far too close to what one of their inner circle looks like, and they aren’t shutting him up. This implies they no longer care if anyone sees their manipulations, and that they believe they don’t need to hide as much as before, because there is NOTHING anyone can do to change the outcome that they have already decided on. Or, it could be a sort of sleight of hand…. present Romney for people to watch, then get Obama safely elected, and settle right back into the process of eliminating the Bill of Rights, a project they’ve been working on for some time now.

I feel I must point out to all the folks out there who believe our current President to be a new hope, that this is the same man who signed the National Defense Authorization Act into effect on New Year’s Eve, while the American public was busy drinking and celebrating the new year, completely unaware that their oh-so-liberal president had just handed the Bill of Rights over to the National Security Agency, and its myrmidons, to do with as it pleased….. If you doubt me on this, check the news from that day…. it’s a fact, it happened, and it is now too late…. officially.

The first and middle rounds are done folks. It is now the final rounds, and we are now officially at war, at least at the ballot box, with our own government, by their own decree. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m stocking up on ammunition, food, water, and body armor…… because the day of the final showdown is not far away. One of these days, and it is not far off, the gloves are going to come off all the way, and you will see the government of this country firing weapons at its own citizens, in the name of “public security”….

I’d think about this, if I were y’all, and think seriously. Try not to believe whatever they tell you, just because a guy on TV said it; examine everything with a critical eye, and speak up. But, be ready to duck, because I have a feeling they are no longer going to even give a warning shot, or yell, before they fire at us….. If you look at them, you will see that the ‘executive orders’ in the NDAA say they are not required to do so….

Don’t be distracted, folks, by all the yammering going on about taxes, or healthcare, or racism, or any of the other bullshite that is currently touted as “what the American people care about”, and being spewed out of every media orifice in the land. I care about my rights. I care about being able to live my life as I choose. I care about human dignity, and freedom, and compassion for others. But this election isn’t about any of those things, it’s not what is in the papers, and it’s not what is in the people’s hearts. It is about control over society, and money. That’s it.

It has been about that for a long time now. Unless the American public comes to its senses, it isn’t going to change, either, until Mama Nature steps in, and sends us all back to the drawing board as another failed biological experiment. That is Reality folks, and is not subject to our manipulation. We can control what we see of Reality, but we can’t change its nature, and it will end us as surely as the sun comes up every morning, if we don’t make some drastic changes. And, unfortunately, none of those changes will be allowed by the beloved ruling class, so….. end game…… Deal with it….

Once you’ve tried to change the world you find it’s a whole bunch easier to change your mind. — Smart Bee

If someone has an expertise that’s physically, mentally or emotionally traumatic, the mind deals with things in one in all many other ways. Some folks abuse alcohol, food, medication or alternative substances to numb the sentiments they need within. Others mourn for a brief amount of your time, restore their religion, balance and sanity, and somehow miraculously move on. however the remainder people left over, typically those that are terribly analytical and logical, have bother processing deeply troubling things. So, we have a tendency to replay the painful state of affairs over and another time in our minds, finding out a solution. however the matter is, the solution can not be found within the rational mind, as a result of the matter is on an emotional plain. Therefore, the answer should come back from the guts, that has to be healed and restored. Here is that the step by step method I actually have custom-made to finish obsessive wondering an Ex:

Step 1:

Don’t take something your Ex ever said or did personally, as a result of nothing your Ex ever said or did was concerning you. albeit your Ex downright blames you for everything that went wrong in your relationship, understand their statement is barely coming back from who they’re, that has fully nothing to try to to with the person you’re.

Step 2:

However, not taking your Ex personally could be a 2 sided coin. If throughout the warmth of an argument you react and tell your Ex what an idiot they’re, and the way everything is THEIR fault, then it’s nothing to try to to with them. Your statements solely replicate the sort of person you’re, that could be a one who likes guilty and decide. This has nothing to try to to together with your Ex. Therefore, consciously build an attempt to be the person you’re, notwithstanding how your Ex is behaving. build a listing of all the qualities you admire in others, for example: kindness, confidence, compassion, and respect. likelihood is that you already possess the qualities at intervals yourself. Be terribly careful to not build statements that do not replicate who you’re, even once you is also tempted to offer into the hurt and anger you’re feeling.

Step 3

Release your judgments and opinions by changing into friends with Death. As morbid as this sounds, understand that in one hundred years, you and your Ex can possible be dead, and zilch you ever fought concerning are remembered. If your Ex has the obsessive ought to be right and argue with you concerning everything, give up to their whim and say, “You are fully right.” Not solely can this reinforce your relationship with Death and prevent an incredible quantity of private power, your Ex can realize it not possible to argue with you as a result of you’re giving the non-verbal message that it extremely does not matter. united my favorite authors Wayne Dyer once said, “Have you ever noticed how arduous it’s to argue with somebody who is not captivated with being right?”

Step 4:

If the hurt and anger is overwhelming, distance yourself from your Ex fully. And despite what, get on your knees and pray for your Ex each morning. Pray that your Ex are granted all of the health, wealth and happiness you would like for yourself. albeit you’re not a spiritual person, otherwise you do not believe in God, the act itself is liberating.
In twelve step programs, like Alcoholics Anonymous, they’re taught to hope for folks they need a deep resentment towards. At first, you may not mean a word of the prayer. however if you say the prayer consistently for 2 weeks, you may come back to genuinely mean it, and realize that there’s a neighborhood of you that realizes your Ex is simply an individual’s being, with their own imperfections, weaknesses and short comings. If you go deeper, you may understand your Ex might also be {a terribly|a really|a awfully} hurt and scared person – albeit they outwardly appear very hostile, aggressive and manipulative. Of course, despite what happened to your Ex in their childhood or maybe in their day to day life – it doesn’t offer them a reason to mistreat you. however by being awake to the actual fact that your Ex features a bound set of problems to upset on their own time, it’ll assist you replace the hurt and anger you’re feeling with compassion and understanding.

Step 5:

Own your personal power. as a result of once you are who you’re, notwithstanding things or circumstance that comes your means, then this transforms you into a really powerful person. this can be the step that fully baffles your Ex, as a result of by you being who you’re, and not letting them get you down – it sends your Ex the non-verbal message that you just are who you’re and that they are who they’re. however most significantly, it tells your Ex that you just aren’t getting to take any of their crap! once you answer your Ex’s hostility with kindness, and your Ex’s blame with compassion, it frustrates them to no finish, as a result of your Ex cannot get you to play their game.

Step 6:

Come to grasp that you just do all of this work for no alternative reason than to understand who you’re, restore your sense of balance, and reclaim your personal power. If you are doing all of this work so as to control your Ex, and build them need you back, your Ex can subconsciously sense your intentions, as a result of at one purpose or another, you may slip and let your intentions be known while not realizing it. When this happens, you may offer all of your power back to your Ex, and can have to be compelled to begin everywhere once more with Step one.

Step vi is commonly tough, as a result of if you master every maximize to the current purpose, your Ex might alright need to reconcile. At the terribly least, your Ex can begin responding to the kindness you send their means during a positive fashion. however regardless if you wish to urge back at the side of your Ex, simply be friends, or simply recover from the obsessive thinking – keep in mind your sole purpose is to understand who you’re, restore your sense of balance, and reclaim your personal power. If you are doing all of this work simply to control your Ex into responding the means you wish them to, it’s going to work for a really short amount of your time. however I guarantee your Ex can devour on the actual fact that your intentions aren’t real, and you may lose your personal power. Not solely that, however once you genuinely become who you’re, you attract the correct reasonably folks to your life. and perhaps your Ex isn’t the person you’re meant to be with! and also the solely means you may understand if you’re meant to be together with your Ex or anyone else is that if you’re genuinely who you’re.

Step 7:

Forgive your Ex, despite what they did or did not do. sadly, it’s going to not be enough at this time to mention, “I forgive my ex.” And leave it at that. Forgiveness has very little to try to to with words, and a lot of to try to to with action. Before continuing with this step, i like to recommend reading up on the subject of forgiveness, and reading heroic stories concerning the ability of forgiveness. I once browse a story a few lady whose daughter was brutally raped and murdered by a person that was eventually caught and sent to jail. As anyone will imagine, the girl spent years of her life in rage and obsession over what this man had done to her daughter. i’m positive there aren’t any words to specific what quantity pain this lady was feeling. However, she somehow came across a book entitled, The Course of Miracles and started reading concerning what the ability of forgiveness may do for her. She began to pray for the person, and eventually sent him a letter, letting him understand she had forgiven him for the actions he took against her daughter, even supposing she did not condone his behavior. to form a protracted story short, the person wrote the girl back and apologized profusely. the girl felt compelled to ascertain this young man in jail, and he or she held him as he cried throughout their initial visit. to form a protracted story short, they became friends, and he or she became his much loved advocate in tries to unharness him from jail.

There aren’t lots of individuals walking on the earth as courageous as this lady, however it’s an extreme example of what’s potential at intervals each people. i believed concerning this lady before I reached out to my Ex with forgiveness in my heart. I sent a present to my Ex and also the lady my Ex left me for, that looked as if it would pale as compared to the current woman’s story. Of course, it took me a trifle over a year to succeed in that time, and lots of soul looking. to the current day, i like my Ex with all of my heart on a platonic level. we have a tendency to live in 2 totally completely different cities, however still decision and send one another emails sometimes pretty much as good friends.

I am additionally during a healthy relationship with somebody i’m deeply in love with. Next week are our 2 year anniversary. I don’t assume i’d be as happy and as deeply in love with this new person as i’m currently, had I not dropping of the anger, bitterness, and resentment I once felt towards my Ex, that is one more reason why forgiveness is thus vital.

A lot of individuals believe turning off your feelings for someone you once were during a romantic relationship with, or maybe hating them could be a thanks to show that they’re “over” the person. however i think the precise opposite is true. once you are fully “over” someone, you actually would like them nothing however the simplest – and you’re totally detached emotionally from how they act or react. Another purpose to contemplate is that the proven fact that love is not real unless you really liked your Ex for the person they’re, not the person you wished them to be. And simply because the romantic relationship did not estimate, does not imply your Ex is not a lovable person.
