Fertility symbols are the symbols used to represent sex and procreation. Fertility symbols are used in different cultures and faiths. Hinduism, one of the world’s major religions, makes extensive use of fertility symbols in religious practice.

The Pashupatinath Temple, in Kathmandu, Nepal

In the vicinity of Pashupatinath Temple, in Kathmandu, Nepal, there is an idol of a deity called Unmatta Bhairav standing with his erect organ. People, mostly women and girls, place their forehead on the genital as a part of their worshipping. It is believed, in doing so, women will bear children and girls will find husbands.

Vajra, the thunderbold, is a fertility symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism

Image via Wikipedia

Also in Kathmandu, there is an ancient Buddhist monastery called Swyambhunath. Right at the entrance of the monastery there is a big brass Vajra, a symbol of thunderbolt representing male sexual potency. Since ancient times the Vajra has been sanctified as a symbol of fertility, it represents phallic strength and qualities that exude from manhood – power, potency and virility. It is also associated with creativity, courage, decisive action and the ability to control powerful actions.

Women’s fertile stages can be related in accordance with the different moon cycles and hence it became a feminine symbol of procreation. Moon, a male deity in Hinduism, symbolizes beauty and sexuality. According to Hindu mythology, he bedded with his guru’s wife and helped Indra, the lord of the heaven, in the process of corrupting a savant’s wife. Hindu mythologies brim with stories of Indra’s amorous advances. But Indra has nothing to do with sex. He is in fact lord of thunder with Vajra on his hand.

Lotus flower is one of the numerous fertility symbols in Hinduism and Buddhism, in its sanctified name it is called padma which means female sexual organ. Many Hindu and Buddhist deities sit or stand on a blooming lotus because it is also a fertility symbol.

Ritualized sex, also called tantric sex, is practiced in Hinduism and Buddhism. Kama, Hindu God equivalent of Cupid, is a God of sex and procreation. He can arouse erotic sentiments even in Shiva, the God of destruction. According to the myth, when Kama’s physical form was destroyed by Shiva, he became even more powerful. Shiva incinerated Kama, but he too, is considered the God of procreation.

Image via Wikipedia

In Hinduism, Shiva, one of the three Gods in Hindu Triad, and Kali, the Terrible Goddess, both are associated with death and destruction, but according to tantric interpretation, Kali stands upon Shiva not to destroy him but symbolize the erotic sentiments. The images and idols of Kali standing upon Shiva in fact is a symbol of procreation. Shiva’s sexual potency is proven by the fact that he is worshipped in a phallic symbol called Shiva Lingam.

"It is not sex that gives the pleasure but the lover."--- Marge Piercy.

Must love do the work of sex to find ultimate joy? The exponent of the Theory of Intimacy, Erik Erikson, advances the concept that “ultimate joy” is derived only through the reproductive act, in the ideology of mutual relationship with a loved partner. He does not specify calling this married love.

Paraphrased, sex is hardly just about sex. There’s nothing more divine and more enjoyed in life than the couple being in love and doing the procreative or reproductive act. Meaning, love is bigger than sex and the reproductive mechanism. That should make the human body not just an empty earthen jug but a container with love inside it. It should be love that constitutes the music and prayer of the sexual embrace to make procreation or the reproductive act the ultimate fulfillment in life.

Russell Bertrand cannot agree more but intimates on two requisites to make sex a fulfillment: education and love . He says: “Civilized people cannot fully satisfy their sexual instinct without love.”

Those claims are all so good to the point of being idealistic, but Henrik Ibsen does not believe in ideals. He hints of “lies”. The idealist walks on tiptoe, the materialist on his heels. Even Christ wore sandals— a suggestion for Erikson to be careful about his theory.

Is sex and love the only source of ultimate joy as Erikson suggests? All are not saints that go to church, so let’s examine the caged feeling on the opposite side of the spectrum:

There are individuals who consider sex nasty even if love goes with it. For example: Andy Walhol rates sex as “the biggest nothing of all.” Ruth Westheimer thinks that sex “is just a reflex like a sneeze.” Reggie Jackson has another idea: “I’d rather hit than have sex.” These people felt they had something worthier to do than indulge in the reproductive act, whatever that means to Erikson.

There are also individuals who think of celibacy as an option considering sex as “dirty” if all it means is winning a man to prove that she is an attractive woman, or conquering a woman and abusing her dignity to prove that he is a man. There are also those who find life meaningless after their endless search for perfect joy, using their human need for sex and love to bear upon their bodily starvation for contact and sensation, all of their creative sensation, all their need for social contact.

How about those who derive ultimate happiness in spiritual interests only like serving God or the Church which, to theologians and Christian moralists, is the “summon-bonum” (the ultimate good) of life?

How about those who pursue through life other fields like painting, singing, writing, acting, volunteer service, and so on without indulging in sex and love, or perhaps having done so, did not find ultimate joy in the relationship?

There must be something higher than sex and love being “ultimate joy” as conceived by Erikson. We can just be very happy in our own way. ###

Love has become the most important role of a spouse, apart from his/her other roles in procreation, sexual pleasures, care and share in a family unit.

Procreation and Sexual Pleasure

Life on Earth must continue – not through preservation of existing but through new procreation – as is the natural process. For this, a male and a compatible female must get into a spouse relationship. Thus, a spouse is a natural necessity for every person. For the same reason, neither a man nor a woman is complete by him/herself but are complementary to each other. Thus, aiding in procreation is the first and the foremost role of a spouse.

Humans found that sexual mating is not only procreative but a provider of great enjoyment to both the partners. Since this enjoyment is a matter of greatest privacy for saving children from getting involved in this before maturity. For both these reasons and introducing sexual and procreative discipline in the society, sexual mating is generally restricted between two spouses only. This makes the second role of a spouse.

Care and Share

With the evolution of human civilization over a few thousand years, work distribution with sharing of each other’s produces among human beings became essential. In this process, even roles of men and women also got defined with the man as bread-earner and woman as caretaker of the home consisting of the family members. This mutual dependence made each of them indispensable for the family unit. The children procreated by them together too got adequate protection, care, guidance and inspiration to become adults in the near future.

In so-called advanced societies, this institution of home is disintegrating for the women asking for freedom from the bandages of the family, resulting into more of single mothers and almost-orphaned children. The once civilized humanity seems to be moving in reverse gear. Thus, contribution towards making a home is the third role of a spouse.

Emotional Satiation

With the advent of the home institution, the permanent togetherness between a man and woman developed an emotional bond between them and they named it love. Thus, love came to being the fourth role of a spouse in human life. Began as an intuition in humanity, over the historical period, love has become an instinct just like survival, procreation, curiosity, etc. and now we all need love, look for it and find it in our respective spouses naturally. Love has become so predominant in human society that if a spouse fails to provide love, he/she gets rejected and debarred from playing any of the above-said roles. Thus, love is the most essential role of a spouse.

Whilst women have been aware of it for centuries, men had probably never thought much about colour preference, but new research is showing clearly that one colour long associated with sex and love, red. also governs processes and behavior in the male of the species.

Whilst women have been aware of it for centuries, men had probably never thought much about colour preference, but new research is showing clearly that one colour long associated with sex and love, red. also governs processes and behavior in the male of the species, to the extent that ladies flaunting themselves in red outfits are guaranteed not only to capture male eyes, but also see much more rapid responses.

Whilst society has always seen red equating to sexual relations, as far back as pre-history being sported by humans in the form of red ocher body decoration, modern researchers Andrew Elliot and Daniela Niesta wanted to create a study testing whether red truly has aphrodisiac properties, the European Journal of Social Psychology.publishing their findings

To begin with, various males saw images of moderately good-looking women, in both blue and red dresses, the men asked what questions they would put to her, and those seeing her in red were much more forward in their queries, as well as consistently rating the same woman sexier when in a red dress than a blue one.

Another element of the study had the men supposedly meeting women privately, and those seeing her in red consistently moved their seats nearer to that which was meant to occupy. As a secondary test, a woman in a different colored dress was pictured against various colored backgrounds, and once more the one with a red background was found to be the most desirable.

Perhaps the most fascinating finding of all was the one of the men involved believing absolutely that colour made no difference whatever to the choices they made, meaning that the preference has to be subconscious, in parallel, oddly, with nonhuman male primates responses to the colour red, thus appearing to demonstrate, to some degree, that preferences and predilections are genetically coded, in the sexual sense, and never really a matter of conscious choice.

The findings will inevitably lead to women saying I told you so, because there is little doubt that animal passions are aroused in human males when they know that a woman is in the middle of her monthly cycle, because they scent the blood, even if they know nothing of the smell. Women wearing red shirt or on a date with a desirable man are more likely to get what they want, and those using dating services online will almost certainly get more positive responses if they post pictures of themselves wearing red.

As a matter of interesting fact, yet another research project showed that the ladies also have a passion for the colour red, so men who have red accessories, like ties and handkerchiefs, red cars and clothing, can find themselves the objects of more female attention than their more conservatively dressed peers.

Any way you care to look at it, nature has decreed, through evolution, that the more basic instincts of our nature should be associated with the colour of the stuff of life, blood, and males simply cannot resist these ancient natural inclinations, even if they have no idea of their existence. You now know exactly what you need o be wearing to be the man or woman at the center of all that sexual attention, so start putting on those gorgeous red glad-rags and having yourself a ball.

The reason most men breath, in thier youth, is to satisfy thier libidos, because the male sex-drive is such a strong motivation for everything they do.

Men live and die for sex, without a doubt, if you ask any woman for an opinion. You ask a man to live without sex at your peril, because the sex-drive in the male is all-powerful. Men usually are the bread-winners, in most households, thriving on their role in life and, sex often seems the aphrodisiac for their success.

Any man you can think of who is successful is usually highly sexed, even if it is only in his mind. A rich and powerful man usually has a bevy of beauties from which to choose, whether he is married or not. Call it ego. Look at Hugh Hefner, Playboy magnate. To this day, he surrounds himself with his playmates. Of course, I highly suspect that he is getting quite a lot of help from the little blue pill, but he is forever smiling.

Fictional character, James Bond, Agent 007, is renowned for his myriad sexual marathons. It doesn’t matter the time, the place or the race. Have ticker, will travel! And when we think about it, we will realise that James Bond has survived over four decades because everybody loves him, both men and women. The men love his image. Every man wants to know that he can have any woman he chooses and still find time for high drama and intrigue.

Women want a James Bond to love and make love to them. Of course, every girl loves a bad boy and he epitomizes life in the fast lane. I guess we can dream. And isn’t that what life is all about, realizing one’s dream, one’s potential?

They say that men spend many a waking hour thinking about sex. When they are not working, they actively think about it and even when they are working. Look at how they are orientated anyway. They invariably wake up with an erection and usually can’t wait to quench that thirst. Some men go into a panic if they don’t have one.

Even with one foot in the grave, they are scouting for willing skirts and they are not above paying for it. A very dear friend of mine once confided that he would be willing to pay for it in his seventies or eighties, because, if he could get it up at that age, even with the help of the little blue pill, he would. What’s life all about at that age, anyway?

Love, on the other hand, he said, was highly overrated. You don’t need love to exist, just as you don’t need marriage in order to have sex. If the truth be known, once you have found love, you should count your blessings, because it isn’t always repeated. So if you can get sex without love, why buy the milk? – a very cynical view, if you ask me, but then again men see life differently than women do. They can be callous unless they are struck by Cupid’s arrow and then it is quite a different granola.

Have you ever seen how men in love behave? All reasoning flies through the window. They are enslaved. They pursue you. They wine you and dine you. They can’t wait to get home to you. I marvel at how we stupidly lose that, once we settle into a relationship. To me, when you love someone, you ought to celebrate that love every waking moment.

You should shower your man with love and attention. You should tantalise him not only in the morning, but at lunch-time or even tea-time, not to mention bedtime. And don’t speak about the children. Necessity, they say, is the mother of invention, so you should be constantly inventing ways to get him worshipping at your temple! I know. I am incurably romantic!

So love will drive a man for a while, but, after the novelty wears off, he will go back to sex and plan his strategy to have it as often as he can, and, that’s why, my friends, as wives and girlfriends we need to be ready. Far too many of us turn our backs on our man when he comes to bed rearing to go and then wonder why men stray. If you want your man, the only thing that should stop you from giving him what he wants is a sick bed!

Far too many women retire from sex, once they reach their forties, fifties or sixties. What do we expect our men to do? Play marbles? They need and want constant reassurance and I would suggest that older women learn to inject a little sexual healing. Marvin Gaye was right, you know. You can’t go wrong, if you kill him with it!

Believe me, he will eagerly anticipate that death! I am yet to meet a man at any age who isn’t after sex. Even, in his rocking chair, a man’s brain is racing at a hundred miles an hour on what ifs and what used to be. I challenge every woman to ask her man what drives him. Is it love or is it sex or is it both? You might be pleasantly surprised. Happy sexual aerobics!

Why Homosexuality is not socially accepted?

Gay relationship is the most talked about in the present social system. The demand of Gay-marriage raised many questions about their existence and utility amongst the Human fellow beings.

At Individual level, the misalliance in the instinct of gender attribute makes the inclination for the same sex relationship. Though there are hormonal reasons, but these leads towards the acceptability. Besides the hormonal crisis, the desire for odd sex, i.e. anal and oral sex makes the gays move to homosexuality. In the domesticated relationship the odd sex is not appreciated and creates sexual displeasure. There is another factor for gay relationship is the escapism from the social responsibilities, i.e. marriage and family formation.

In heterosexual relationship needs a social contract, which is meant for procreation. This is a major responsibility for either gender. Procreation creates a responsibility towards nurturing for women and provision and protection for men. This responsibility is basically an instinct and bind people in norms. Norms are difficult to follow since this demands a lot of compromise in liberal attitude and duty towards the relationship.

The social impact of the hormonal misalliance creates a crisis in Gender relationship. The tendency of same sex leads to matrimonial disharmony, which is the cause of escapism from the matrimonial relationship. Though in the cultured society, same sex relationship is not socially accepted, but the marriage relationship amongst the heterosexuals gets adulterated. The tendency is known very late, but the various disputes create until it is exposed very late. Same sex friendship does not give a suspicious towards the adulteration since generally it does not lead to break-up, but certainly it deprive the partner for the sexual pleasure in the matrimonial life.

There is another factor that is responsible, i.e. Gender disparity. In the wake of Women’s Liberation, the preferential laws for women are making the societal position of Men weak. The societal role for women is nurturing the family and for men are provisions and protection. The financial independence of Women made the men loose the control in their Women. This has given various rights and claim within private affair of husband and wife, i.e. martial rape, domestic violence, etc. The invasion of Law in the societal relationship led to the shrinking of social relationships and responsibility. Men left alone and then they are moving towards the same sex relationship since the Sex is a biological need and it needs to get satisfied whatever may be the process.

The social impact on the Gay relationship is quite adverse. It signifies the Loss of Manhood in the society. When the masculinity turns out to be gay signifies cracks in the society. This is also due to lack of micro governance. Micro Governance is governance based on Customs and Tradition. This creates socialization and hence leads to social accountability and also social vigilance.

Gay marriages will authenticate a social relationship which does not have social acceptability since it is against the social norms, i.e. procreation. Gay marriages will check the heterosexual relationship which will further deteriorate the social system. Weak society leads to weak polity and weak polity is always prone to invasion.

Many people today have become complacent as an easier way to deal with issues in this world. Unfortunately, complacency can denigrate society.

Many people today have become complacent as an easier way to deal with issues in this world. Unfortunately, complacency can denigrate society.

In all that exists, there is a Natural Order and a Spiritual Order. Let us take for instance the process of eating. Purposely there is a mechanism in our bodies that let us know when we NEED to eat. When we receive that signal, we eat. Since we are generally NOT in tune with out bodies, we eat what “Looks” good or what has been made for us. WE don’t always eat what we need. But our amazing bodies know what we need and tend to take from what we put into our mouths and swallow, that which it needs. IT even knows at what time along the digestive process to take it. that which is unused is eliminated through defecation mostly; some through urination.

Among many of these every day processes, is another very important one called Procreation. Procreation is the process that keeps the world living on and on through generations. IT replenishes those who die. Procreation amongst Humans requires a man and a women. Since NO humans were made asexual beings, it would seem less than simple to figure out that one of BOTH sexes is necessary to Procreate and therefore continue life on this planet.

When one becomes focused on issues other than the Natural and Spiritual Orders of this world, Society and parts of society clash. On the issue of homosexuality and lesbianism, it is quite obvious that, this behavior, is completely and totally AGAINST that which is both Natural and Spiritual in the world and is therefore AGAINST Humanity. It is also a well known fact that no single man nor group of humans dictated these Natural and Spiritual Laws.

Why then is it that Humanity as a whole refuses to accept as Truth, that which THEY cannot change. Those who feel removed from the Truth, need to search for and find the Truth and/or WHY they feel removed from the Truth.

This is the only course of action that can be taken by those who feel removed from Truth with the hope of obtaining any change. Arguing with those that are living within the boundaries of the Natural and Spiritual Orders, attempting to FORCE upon them a change which CANNOT take place, is fruitless.

Hypothetically, to momentarily assume that this change COULD legitimately be decided by Humanity, if it were to be accepted by those that live within the boundaries of the Truth or Natural and Spiritual Order, these same humans would cause themselves and humanity to be wiped off the face of the earth in short order.

AS unfortunate as it may seem for those who “feel” that they are different, the only expenditure of energy that would produce any fruit, is to find and change that which makes YOU feel as you do. You are not made any different nor are you meant to feel that way.

None the less, Humanity WILL protect itself from annihilation even by use of Man Made Laws if necessary.

So is happiness the meaning of life? No its not. Why? Well happiness is just one particular normal emotion we feel in our daily life. That said, we on a daily basis, experience many emotions, each emotion as normal as the other. So to say that happiness is the meaning of life would be the same as saying that, sadness, anger, love, or any other emotion is the meaning of life too! How can one single emotion be the meaning of life, while all the other equally important and vital emotions get ignored? Emotions are part of our psyche, and personal experience, that said would you say that your psyche, consciousness, ego, sub consciousness, personality is the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little too self-centered and arrogant, as to believe that any single, individual emotion is the very meaning of life?

Can our service to society (our day job), career whatever it may be, be considered the meaning to life? Most certainly not! We work, provide a service, get paid, spend our money, and then go work some more for money. We live in a society of individuals. We are all born alone and shall die alone. We don’t owe each other anything, but we rely upon each other for our services, and human relationships. Just say hypothetically speaking, I’m an author, how can my services then, as an author ever provide services to most of the worlds illiterate population? It can’t and it is in fact useless to the daily lives to most of the world’s masses. If we are to generally consider career and work as the sole reason behind life than wouldn’t all jobs, no matter how important or insignificant, represent this very same meaning in the definition to life? Jobs provide services to land and property owners, our efforts mental and/or physical are all for serving our job masters in making them money. How can making others rich ever be the meaning of life? It couldn’t, it never was, and never will be. Work is work, a way of earning the dollar, it’s what we can achieve through work independently of the , work- make you money- get paid routine, that defines any greater meaning, or any external meaning to the matter, of work and its impact upon society.

So is procreation a reason to our existence? Generally speaking this is the purpose of all animals from the most primitive organism, to the complex animals of the animal kingdom. Procreation is an evolutionary, inherited safety switch, which allows for the continuation and ongoing existence of a species. So does this evolutionary act of reproduction spell out the meaning of human life? In no way whatsoever! Sure we have kids for a range of reasons, to provide genetic offspring, for emotional comfort, to live for and love children of our own, to share the responsibility with our partners as a product of love, and for many other reasons. But generally speaking, can this be said for mankind in general? What about so much of mankind that does not have children? After a little inquiry into some of the people that helped shape this global society in a huge way, people like the great scientist and inventor, Nikola Tesla, had no children but yet found a purpose in their lives. This renders procreation as lacking in huge way to be a generally justified reason for our human existence as it does not represent mankind to a great enough extent.

Money, can obtaining money be considered the meaning of life? Hell no! How many people in the world posses no money whatsoever? How many people have barely any money other than what they use to barely survive, to pay for a roof above their head, groceries, and bills? A huge part of global human population! So obviously the business of obtaining real money, luxury money that is, is outside the reality of most people. This is fact. It becomes obvious that making money cannot be considered the universal definition to the question at hand.

Personal perfection and constantly learning about life may be considered as a purpose to our existence, but can this be said for most of the world’s illiterate, mentally ill, immature, uneducated, extremely poor, and socially primitive people? No it can’t! So despite it being vital for any human being of a mentally stable mind, and as citizens of modern civilized nations, personal perfection and ongoing learning of the world around us, is something that’s outside the domain of most of the worlds primitive people.

So what is my understanding at least to the above posed question? What is my personal definition, the underlying intellectual reason to our being, the very meaning to the existence of our lives? Its human relationships. It’s the relationships between people, be it between parents and children, between siblings, friends, acquaintances, co-workers, lovers, and in fact between any two or more people in the society in general. It’s these personal or collective bonds between people that underlie behind every societies existence. It’s the human relationships between people that allow for powerful bonds of trust, loyalty, and respect to develop, the very qualities that without, mankind would never exist as a collective. Since birth we are raised to understand the reasons, beauty and limits of human interaction and relationship. Its human relationships that matter in life, as social creatures, and as individuals part of a global society. Without human relationships life would have no meaning. Society wouldn’t exist. Nothing and nobody would matter, and conflict and crime would reign supreme over a mass of savages.

I ask you my reader to now take this article into consideration, my final conclusion of what I view the meaning of life to be, and ask yourselves the above question. Would your answer be so different to mine?

One reason commonly offered in defense as to why gays and lesbians should not be allowed to marry is "marriage is about having children". This looks into that reasoning.

A small number of people, but particularly those of some religions, feel they have the right to police who can get married, who cannot, and for what reason. Two of the groups often targeted against being allowed to marry are homosexuals and lesbians. One of the reasons often suggested as to why they should not be allowed to marry is that “Marriage is about having and raising children”. I find this point to be particularly of interest and 100% laughable.

So often the argument is used, and I wonder do these people even think about what they are saying, or suggesting?

Does this mean that people who are infertile can not get married?

Does it mean that people who do not want children should not get married?

Will they protest people past child bearing years getting married?

Does being married mean you are a suitable person for raising kids?

What if the person had children from a previous relationship?

Should couples be forced to divorce when their children leave home?

It infers ignorance that homosexuals cannot have children or do not want them.

Should heterosexual people who are divorced and do not have custody of their children, be allowed to remarry?

They frequently reference the Bible when referring to this, which is odd because humans engaged in marriage type relationships long before the Bible was even put together, and marriage exists in many religions, not only those who follow the Bible.

Humans have lived in monogamous relationships for many generations, they held ceremonies to unite the couple even before it was called a “wedding”. People united in bonds long before religion set a standard of rules, and to be fair, how is it acceptable for one religion to force its’ belief system onto people who do not follow that religion?

Alas, I have wandered off topic. My real issue is the argument against allowing homosexuals to marry, because marriage is about having and raising children. I honestly feel that this is a lame excuse for a reason against homosexual marriages. I do not think many people even realize that by saying this they are insulting millions of other people. Not every marriage is about children, some marriages are actually about love and companionship.

Mostly, how does it hurt society on a whole if gays and lesbians are allowed to marry? The argument that this will result in a lower birthrate is laughable, people will have kids regardless of being married.

I would love to see somebody, anybody, who says “Marriage is for heterosexual couples only, because it’s about raising children” speak up loudly against allowing marriage in older couples, or marriage in infertile couples. That person would have a whole lot more credibility than these ones who use it as an excuse to protest against allowing homosexuals to wed.

So before you catch your self uttering such total nonsense, ask yourself, what is the real reason you are against gays and lesbians being wed?

A woman's movie collection tells more than you might realize. Learn to be one with the chick flick.

We live in a world where information is increasingly becoming more accessible. Only a generation ago, we would have been limited to the amount of information that was readily available. The lucky few were privileged to own their own 50 volume set of the Encyclopedia Brittanica, or they knew someone who did. Now, it is not a matter of how much we know, but how well we know how to find it. If somebody *really* wanted to, it would not be too terribly difficult to find the instructions for how to build a nuclear bomb or how to construct a rocket. But for all the Googling, professionally written articles, and randomly submitted blogs….how much more do we really know about the opposite sex?

Whether a man is willing to admit it, or not, women rule the planet. Until science completely crosses into the realm of “playing God”, men will always rely on women to allow them to complete their one basic purpose in life. I’m referring to procreation. The days of clubbing women over the head and taking them back to the cave are long gone. Now more than ever, women have choices. Face it, there is always going to be someone cooler than you.

But if network television is any indication, there is hope that the fat guy or the nerd can catch the hot chick. If you need proof, you should flip to an episode of The King of Queens, Still Standing, or Yes, Dear. All of these shows leave you with a big feeling of “yeah right, that guy could get her”. One thing that they don’t tell us is how they got the girl. Either these guys are crazy rich, equinely endowed, or incredibly hilarious. They could be all of those things, but more than likely they have an above-average understanding of their women.

There is no such thing as understanding women too much, but it is possible to not understand them enough. This means that guys have to work to get to a higher level of feminine comprehension. It may require a little bit of *actual* effort and keen senses.

In my years of dating, I have never met a woman that didn’t drop hints. Some are subtle and easy to miss. Yet others are blatant and incredibly obvious. I’ll give you a tip: if a girl ever says, “Oh, I’d love that”, it means “Hey Dummy, I want this”.

Here’s another tip, a girl’s DVD (or VHS) collection will tell you volumes about what she is looking for in a relationship. This even applies to the ladies that have a massive collection. You may have to ask which ones are her favorite and then go from there. If she has a small collection, then it’s easy.

This is where the actual time investment comes along. When the opportunity to discuss movies comes along, take notes. It may be necessary to break out the pen and paper and create a list. OK, try to keep up with me now. Run, don’t walk, to Blockbuster or your local video store and get those movies.

Please tell me you’re ready for this. The diamond-encrusted, platinum and gold key to understanding women is to watch these movies and imagine that the female lead is your girl.

Women are creatures of comfort. That’s what explains the variety of flavors of lotions, eating ice cream during stressful times, and their favorite movies. There is a level of comfort that lives within the escapism of imagining being the extra special girl in the movies. The better a guy gets at embracing that, the better off he will be in the world of understanding women.

As I mentioned before, there is no such thing as knowing women too much. Take this piece of advice and put it into action. You have been given a big, shiny, golden nugget of enlightenment. Now it’s up to you to make it happen.
