Nazi Consolidation of Power in 1933 Was Primarily Due to The Use of Terror and Violence; How Far Do You Agree?

There were many obstacles Hitler endured to obtain power in 1933, in this year he was appointed as Chancellor however the establishment that gave him this title were keen to hold onto their power. Hindenburg, a powerful and prestige president at the time, had support from, and control over the army, Hitler’s hope to consolidate full power was also restrained by the power of institution such as the Reichstag. Hitler was aiming to bring about a Nazi revolution in Germany, and his position as Chancellor would help him to achieve this.

Hitler used violence in order to consolidate power; however he balanced the use of terror with legal means. The Nazis understood that power had to be taken legally in order to get the widespread support from the majority of the German population. 50,000 SA, SS and Stahlhelm members were appointed as auxiliary policemen on the 22nd February in order to intimidate and terrorize Nazi opponents. This led to violence against communist and socialists, who were reluctant to act against Hitler; they misread the situation and believed Hitler’s new role as chancellor would lead to political and economic collapse, and in turn the formation of communist rule in Germany. With members of the Nazi party in the police force this enabled Hitler to order a police raid on the head office of the communist party, KPD. Hermann Goering, then claimed that evidence was found during the raid, communist conspiracy theories to seize power through force were supposedly found. With this new evidence Hitler had an excuse to use violence and terror as he could claim it was merely defensive. The Nazis closed down socialist newspapers, cutting off socialist propaganda, and members of the SA disrupted political meetings damaging any chances of the left side developing an idea on how to stop the increasing power of the Nazis. Violence was an important factor whilst consolidating Nazi power and it is proved to be increasingly important when paired with the strategy of propaganda.

On the 27th February 1933, the Reichstag building was set on fire and the communists were blamed. The use of propaganda meant that the Nazis could take full advantage of the event, and pass all the blame onto the communists who were portrayed as dangerous threats. Terror was used, as the next day 4000 communist were arrested due to the event, weakening the communist threat and proving the power of the Nazi party and Hitler. The Reichstag fire gave the Nazis the opportunity to use legal actions in order to consolidate power as the emergency decree gave the police the power to arrest suspected Nazi opponents without confronting the courts. Goebbels portrayed the emergency decree as a way to stop the spread of communism, and therefore it was welcomed by the vast majority of the German population as many feared communism. The decree gave Hitler legal reasons to arrest those he saw as a threat; because of propaganda he was able to use the decree to justify the arrest, imprisonment, and torture of many political opponents. By using violence, terror and intimidation Hitler was able to remove his political threats; at the General election in March 1933, all the communist deputies were barred from the Reichstag as a result Hitler gained a political advantage as the Nazis won the 1933 elections. After the elections the Nazis had gained the legal rights once again to destroy political opposition. The leader of the SS, Heimlich Himmler set up a concentration camp at Dachau where political opponents could be help in “protective custody”.

When presenting the Reichstag with the enabling act Hitler used force and intimidation as he brought with him the SA who swarmed the building. Again the presence of the SA put pressure on the government to pass the act, as they were reminded of the true power of the Nazis. The act granted Hitler four years of power as dictator in order for the act to be granted, the communist deputies were barred from the Reichstag and Goring was able to reduce the required number of votes needed to achieve the overall majority. In February 1933 attacks on churches took place as the Nazis saw organized religion as an enemy. The churches and religious figures supported the Enabling act as they feared the consequences if they didn’t, as they had seen what had happened to socialists and communists and did not wish to have the same fate.

After the Enabling Act had been passed, Hitler aimed to control all the social and economic aspects of Germany. First he dissolved the local state governments and introduced new state governors who were able to introduce Nazi policies. On May 2nd the offices of the social socialist trade union organization were raided by SA members and the organization was split up. The violence and terror used by the Nazis led to many socialist leaders fleeing the country as many had been killed or arrested and on June 22 the SPD was officially disbanded. The centre party, was the last party to be disbanded, and in June 1933, due to Himmler’s orders the most significant members of the party were arrested; again violence and terror was used to disband a political opponent, proving how important violence was in order for Hitler to consolidate power.

The use of violence was a key part in consolidating power in 1933; Hitler was able to use his position as chancellor to place members of the Nazi army into the police force. The propaganda used to exploit the Reichstag fire meant that Hitler could then use his legal rights to arrest communist and expose their theories of spreading communism worldwide. In order for the terror used to consolidate power to be effective it had to be connected with propaganda and legality, in order for the German people to side with the Nazis despite all the violence that was taking place. Therefore I agree that without violence Hitler wouldn’t have been able to intimidate and force his way to dictatorship as the terror was what caused people to back down and also caused parties to disband, paving the way for Hitler and the Nazi party to consolidate power.

Bloomberg Business week magazine.

How far will a person or corporation go to brainwash some people ? Well apparently pretty far, so far that they constantly mail the individual magazines they didn’t purchase or order. The magazine in question is owned by the already questionable Michael Bloomberg.

Bloomberg Business week Magazine, these are not the types of covers I’ve seen lately .

The magazine is Bloombergs Business week which attempts to get in your head start right from the front cover. People will say, “Hey that makes no sense because every magazine makes eye catching covers ” which is true they do. However they all don’t do this while constantly pushing a world view or political agenda aimed at making the reader pro U.S.A or anti everyone else. The latest cover features a Chinese flag covered in the word “lies”, calling the culture violent, greedy plus deceitful. If this isn’t the pot calling the kettle black I don’t know what is, because all of these things can be used to describe America.

Let’s start with the biggest most important group of lies every told by a administration or president, that’s those leading to the Iraq war. Take a look at these stats that show in detail the 935+ lies told to get the Iraq War lie sold.

#1, the Champion Liar: George W. Bush: 260 lies or false statements

#2: Secretary of State Colin Powell: 254 lies or false statements

#3: Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld: 109 lies or false statements

#3: Press Secretary Ari Fleischer: 109 lies or false statements

#4: Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz: 85 lies or false statements

#5: National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice: 56 lies or false statements

#6: Vice President Dick Cheney: 48 lies or false statements

#7: Press Secretary Scott McClellan: 14 lies or false statement

Please people never trust any “Bush” in less it’s burning, a Bible reference I don’t want people trying to set the former president on fire. Even though the racist, stupid, lying, drug using inbreed hick deserves it !

Next one is even more funny than the last that’s violence, let’s look at the number of deaths caused by the United States. First lets start with American casualties or should I say “sacrifices” being the key word. This Babylonian country deals in death it always has because it makes nothing it uses “the war machine” to make money even at the cost of it’s own. The sacrifice numbers are

4,484 (02/2012)

Everything we experience on a daily basis is so controlled. A example of this is trying to search the same wars listed above, trying to discover the number of people killed by the United States. A search that’s impossible to make work, the only info that consistently comes up is the 1 million plus Iraq’s killed by the United States that’s not talked about on the news. Ask yourself this what is going here, why would the opposition death toll be only available for one war ?

New York Mayor, Michael R. Bloomberg, look into his eyes doesn’t he just look up to no good. Thinking of more ways to make money as if he doesn’t already have enough worthless paper not backed by anything. He Worked so hard to be a Billionaire he can’t take it with him when he dies, how pointless .

Michael Bloomberg is a hypocrite for printing this crap, I don’t want the magazine didn’t order it so obviously someone wants these thoughts in my head real bad. The guy is a $22 dollar Billionaire so yeah he can afford to give away free magazines I guess in hopes I might believe this crap or buy it. So what if the magazine makes good points, every country has it’s faults, but the sad attempts to cover up U.S faults by pointing the finger at someone else is evil. Deceit, that’s funny Bloomberg, the magazine with you are both deceitful. Look in his past you’ll discover a huge closet full of skeletons.

Mayor Bloomberg has committed, admitted to, even boasted about conspiracy to commit felonies.

He has aided and abetted people committing Federal crimes.

The Fact is he should be in jail, not out selling this crappy agenda filled magazine. The cover for this May 2012 issue should have been a American Flag riddled with bullet holes while dripping blood with oil. It should read, ” Prisoners , Consumers the Uneducated, America land of the fee home of the debt slave.” Thanks for reading this has been my opinion hope you enjoyed it. Oh yeah by the way, I’m not anti- American just anti America the way it is now. Get rid of the elitist illuminated power structure, give the freedom the power back to the citizens, a nation for the people, of the people by the people. Please don’t read Bloombergs drivel, educate yourself .

Cover of Business Week, this is more typical, a cover that is basically saying you the reader will take the information provided at face value with out looking into it more for yourself. The covers says you trust that they wouldn’t lie to you, that Business Week should be the most trusted source of information like this in your life, period. It tells you what to think basically is what I’m saying, also notice the colors used . Please take care.

For a while now, I’ve been following an interesting discussion going on between animal rights activists and people who oppose to them. Being an animal lover myself, I had never given it that much thought, and caring for animals seemed almost natural to me.
However, after having a closer look at this debate, I found that it’s not only about humans standing up for animal rights, it’s also about humans standing up for human rights.

First, we need to make a distinction between “animal rights” and “animal welfare”. “Animal welfare” allows humans to use animals to satisfy certain needs, such as: food, clothing, medical research, even entertainment. The animals should, however, live in good conditions and be treated in a humane way. “Animal rights”, on the other hand, imply that humans do not have the right to use an animal for human purposes. Animal rights organizations include: PETA, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Animal Liberation Front and HSUS. Animal welfare organizations include: the World Organisation for Animal Health and the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA).

Most controversy arises around animal rights groups, because of the extreme position they occupy, the methods they sometimes use, and their tendency to impose their ideas upon others. In doing so, they seem to attach little importance to factual data, and the truth often only appears to be relevant insofar it proves their point. Anything that is contradicting their views or arguments is carefully ignored, or dismissed as a lie. This modus operandi appears to be a constant throughout the communication of many groups, and the mere fact that such kind of propaganda methods are felt necesary, puts a dark shadow on the “good intentions” of these groups.

If a killer whale throws up a seal in the air, breaking every bone in the poor animal’s body, causing internal bleeding that will lead to a certain death, I don’t hear anybody denounce this as an act of sheer cruelty. When the killling (for food, or for research) of an animal is done by a human predator, however, it becomes an act of barbarism.
Some actually claim that animals should have the same rights as humans: the School of Helsinki even listed a number of basic rights for Cetaecans, comparable to the Declaration of Human Rights by the UN: the right to live, the right of habitat, etc… But I wonder how much the orca cared about those “rights” when he first spotted that seal? The only right I can think of was for the seal to serve as dinner.

In 2002, AnimalScam.com was put online, a project of the “Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF)”. The idea behind this project is that every consumer should have the right to decide what to eat, to wear and to do in his/her freetime, and it’s goal is to expose any lies or twisted truths, that are sometimes part of the activists’ propaganda. CCF argues that many of the things that we take for granted, are likely to dissapear if the animal rights groups get it their way: no more meat products, no more dairy products, no more eggs, no more fish, no more leather, no more visiting the circus,…

So, should attributing “human rights” to animals not imply that humans get “animal rights”?

The worldwide internet phenomena known as Kony 2012 or make Kony famous has made headlines around the world. However, some things remained to be answered and there is quite a substantial amount of evidence to suggest that the Kony 2012 is more of a corporate company's propaganda plan to milk money from the kind-hearted in the name of saving African children so as to pave way for Western intervention into an area which recently has been found to contain oil...More Details Below!

Firstly, I would like to say that I have nothing against Invisible Children foundation. In fact, I have donated for many causes to bring basic human necessities to those in need in Africa. However, this article is just to pinpoint why some people might find this specific cause a not so ordinary one and why it seems fishy.)

(Disclaimer. I am definitely not endorsing any war crime acts which are supposedly done by Joseph Kony and I am opposed to any crimes done against humanity in the form of mass murders, forced child army and such.)

Before I begin, I know I will get a lot of hate for this but here it goes anyway…

The worldwide internet phenomena known as Kony 2012 or make Kony famous has made headlines around the world. However, some things remained to be answered and there is quite a substantial amount of evidence to suggest that the Kony 2012 is more of a corporate company’s propaganda plan to milk money from the kind-hearted in the name of saving African children so as to pave way for Western intervention into an area which recently has been found to contain oil.

Firstly, If you know anything about Invisible Children , you would know that it is a non-profit organization to bring peace and protection to Uganda. That said, they are required to show the percentage of money being used for the cause. And this is when things don’t look so good. Only 32% of the money being donated are used for the cause in Uganda while the rest are used for the publicising of the cause, the production of fliers, stickers and other materials to promote the cause. I find this quite amusing since I expect a non-profit organization to at least send in 75% of my donation to the cause in Uganda. Instead they are using 2/3 of the money for non-necessary stuff.

Next, let’s look at the video which started it off. A seemingly innocent video you might think. However, one thing that made this seemingly innocent video fishy was that it was so smoothly edited, with professional voice-overs and looks almost like a corporate advertising video. At 1 minute 38 seconds into the video, the faceless narrator says out these exact words.

“The next 27 minutes are an experiment,”. “But in order for it to work, you have to pay attention.”

Seems like someone has made this video to test us, well connected human beings to see how fast we could spread a well made propaganda like wildfire on the internet. Also, have you noticed that in the whole video itself that there was no single proof that Joseph Kony was the man behind the violence except that they claim it. Seems like someone missed the most important part of the story. If you want to see a different part of the story and know what I am talking about, watch this video.

And for those who don’t have a clue about Joseph Kony, he is actually a freedom fighter in Uganda fighting for the freedom of the people from the government. Its also funny the that the Uganda government has done nothing to stop him for more than 20 years while some random guy from some other part of the world can get an exclusive interview with him. If the government was actually concerned about its people, something had to be done by now but it isn’t. Furthermore, there have been reports of government bodies and officials who are supposedly behind the atrocity in Uganda. So now, who seems like the bad guy now? Note: I am certainly not saying that Joseph Kony is an innocent person here but I’m just wondering that what if the government there is more corrupt…? All I ask is that don’t blame someone for the misery and violent acts in Uganda without even knowing who what’s really happening there. You might never know, it could be its own government who are doing these acts in disguise as Kony’s army similar to the case in Libya when Gaddafi ruled. What’s interesting is that Kony has formed his own army to fight against the atrocity done by the Government of Uganda against its own people. SO… who do you believe? Propaganda here, propaganda there…

Before I go on, here are some rumours you might want to ponder upon before reading on…

#1- Kony’s army has been disbanded since 2007

#2- Oil has been found by US Forces in Uganda in December 2011 (This is somewhat factual)

#3- Kony is Dead/ Inactive for years. (When was the last time you heard something about Kony in the news?)

What I do find funny about this cause is that it has actually worked pretty well, in fact so well that even random people on the street have so much killer rage against a person who they don’t even know personally to begin with. I have seen some posts in youtube which just adds to the ignorance of the people who are blindly following this cause where they want him to be killed instantly on sight. What makes it more ridiculous is that those same people who have that much hatred for Kony would rather buy some Kony 2012 merchandise from Invisible Children which actually doesn’t benefit anyone at all. So I ask all of you well-connected internet scourers out there with a working brain out there to actually use your common sense to find out if this cause is for the good (Saving African Children) or for the bad (Getting inside Uganda through the use of a bogeyman (Kony) so as to get natural resources). Oh, and in the meantime, donate to real official charities, or even better, take a holiday to Uganda and spend some time with those who are in need.

So is Invisible Children a Scam? You Decide. Comment below.

A short essay about how music was used as propaganda during the Vietnam War.

Propaganda is defined as the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person (“Merriam-Webster”). It plays a very large role during times of war because it is usually meant to rally a population behind a united cause such as defeating The Nazis, or stopping the rise of communism. However, during the Vietnam War, the United States saw the largest anti-war movement in its history and much of the propaganda produced at the time was meant to persuade people against the country’s involvement. This form of propaganda, better known as protest, was achieved through a variety of ways, such as teach-ins on college campuses, peaceful marches, art, and music. Demonstrations like the one in November 1969 when five hundred thousand people marched on Washington to protest the war (Barringer), were a powerful tool in the anti-war movement. However, music was the most effective form of propaganda at the time because it reached such a large, influential population that was the teen and young adults of America.

Prior to the war, folk music had long been a form of protest for the civil rights movement with artists such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez sticking out from the pack (Schifferes). When the war broke out it gave artists new material to sing about and an even larger audience to reach. The introduction of the draft caused the level of protest to skyrocket, especially within the young male population (“Spartacus Educational”). The fact that students were exempt from the draft brought about major upheaval because this meant that the lower class and poverty stricken would be forced to go to war. Even the students themselves protested because they found the draft to be “an attack on people’s rights to decide for themselves whether they wanted to fight for their country.” (“Spartacus Educational”). As the public opinion of the war changed, so did the music. “This was the era of the youth counter-culture, flower power, and the Woodstock music festival. Rock music replaced folk music as the centre of protest culture, and cultural protest merged with political demonstrations.” (Schifferes)

One of the greatest examples of the rise of rock is the band Black Sabbath, well known for being the pioneers of heavy metal. They often sang about things like war, violence and the struggle of good versus evil (“Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”). “We arrived at the height of the Vietnam War and on the other side of the hippie era, so there was a mood of doom and aggression,” guitarist Tony Iommi told writer Chris Welch in 2003. (“Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”). The band’s second album, Paranoid, was full of dark foreboding imagery, and the song titled “War Pigs,” was a blatant protest to the war in Vietnam. The imagery of “hellish visions of bloody battlefields and conniving politicians have lost none of their currency over the decades.” “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”).

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death’s construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out and fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait ’till their judgment day comes
Yeah!

Now in darkness world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgment, God is calling
On their knees the war pig’s crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings
Oh lord yeah!

In addition to the lyrics, the music paints the picture of war with a looming air raid siren starting the song and a constant high hat in the background keeping a militaristic cadence. The entire song has a dark, tense tone with guitar riffs full of squealing and screaming, almost like voices. Put simply, the song is speaking out against the evils of war and the people in power who use it for personal gain with utter disregard for the individuals on the front lines. The phrase “war pigs” becomes a metaphor to show the people what the politicians really were at the time, talking of how they use “people just like pawns in chess” for their power hungry minds. Generals are directly compared to “witches at black masses” and called evil. The song begs for justice and revenge for the evil things that were done, and in the end a sense of satisfactions comes when the “day of judgment” finally comes. Despite the war pigs begging, “Satan laughing spreads his wings” and condemns them to hell.

“Why should they go out and fight? They leave that role to the poor.” This is not only a key point of the song, but one of the largest topics of protest surrounding the Vietnam War. It is a theme that has resonated through our country’s history throughout times of war, even to present day. The ‘60s and ‘70s were such an obvious example of the rich and powerful leaving the poor to go and do all the dirty work and dying for the country. The president himself, Lyndon B. Johnson introduced conscription (draft) in order to supply enough men for the war effort, but, fearing that he would lose the support of the middle class, it excluded all students (“Spartacus Educational”). Black Sabbath hit the nail on the head with that line, the limits on the draft simply meant that it was the poor that should go to war. This was a concept that was even argued by Martin Luther King because a large portion of the impoverished were African-American and Johnson’s war spending eliminated his program to deal with poverty, therefore, tens of thousands of blacks were being shipped off to Vietnam.

War Pigs was a song mostly listened to by the younger populations, full of anger and the urge to rebel against the establishment. “It was a time when youthful idealism had begun to ebb amid the war in Vietnam, the influx of hard drugs, clashes with authority figures, and the bruising realities of working-class life that lay ahead for many of them” (“Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”). As a protest song, it is extremely effective because it gave people perspective to what was really going on. No longer was the United States fighting for honor and justice as in World War I and II, instead they sought to secure their interests in South East Asia through war and murder. It took bands like Black Sabbath, and songs like “War Pigs” to point out these injustices and rally the sufferers to stand up for what is truly right, not what the powerful say is right.

The band was often accused of being a Satanist group because of the dark metaphors they used and the many references to witchcraft, but they constantly maintained a huge following. To this day the members of Black Sabbath deny these accusations, in the words of their bassist Terry Butler to Rolling Stone in 1971, “It’s a satanic world, the devils more in control now. People can’t come together, there’s no equality. It’s a sin to put yourself above other people, and yet that’s what people do.” Sabbath was simply calling it how they saw it, not dabbling in the dark arts like the politicians, the “sorcerers of death’s construction.

A brief explanation as to how human beings use concepts to understand the world and how propaganda works.

Walter Lippmann – Public Opinion

“The way in which the world is imagined determines at any particular moment what men will do. (It does not determine what they will achieve. It determines their effort, their feelings, their hopes, not their accomplishments and results.)”

Lippmann believed the world (our reality) is too big to truly comprehend. In order to make sense of reality, he thought human beings used stereotypes to help shape their view of the world.

These stereotypes help to create mental pictures in our minds, which we use to interpret reality. ”Certainly for the most part, the way we see things is a combination of what is there and of what we expected to find.”

Propaganda is used as a tool to help shape images in the minds of human beings in support of an enterprise, idea or group. Propaganda can be used to substitute one social pattern for another.

Lippmann argued that people rely on the images in their minds in formulating judgments rather than by critically thinking. He advised, “Yet in truly effective thinking the prime necessity is to liquidate judgments, regain an innocent eye, disentangle feelings, be curious and open-hearted.”

Whats Islam has to say on this so called day of love.

What does Islam say?

Deceptive commercials and cultural propaganda present an ugly practice of paganism (mushrik) as if it were some beautiful festival of love – and all the time the devil is laughing at believers who listen to his whispers.

A group of practices considered as the twin sister of bid’ah(misguided innovations). Like bid’ah these flourish on . . .

. . ignorance and outside influence. Like bid’ah they entail rituals. But unlike bid’ah the rituals have not been given an Islamic face. They are followed because they are considered an acceptable cultural practice or the hottest imported “in” thing.

Most of those who indulge in them do not know what they are doing. They are just blind followers of their equally blind cultural leaders. Little do they realize that what they consider as innocent fun may in fact be rooted in paganism. That the symbols they embrace may be symbols of unbelief. That the ideas they borrow may be products of superstition. That all of these may be a negation of what Islam stands for.

Consider Valentine’s Day, a day that after dying out a well deserved death in most of Europe (but surviving in Britain and United States of America) has suddenly started to emerge across a good swath of Muslim countries. Who was Valentine? Why is this day observed? Legends abound, as they do in all such cases, but this much is clear: Valentine’s Day began as a pagan ritual started by Romans in the 4th century BCE to honour the god Lupercus. T

he main attraction of this ritual was a lottery held to distribute young women to young men for “entertainment and pleasure” – until the next year’s lottery. Among other equally despicable practices associated with this day was the lashing of young women by two young men, clad only in a bit of goatskin and wielding goatskin thongs, who had been smeared with blood of sacrificial goats and dogs. A lash of the “sacred” thongs by these “holy men” was believed to make them better able to bear children.

As usual, Christianity tried, without success, to stop the evil celebration of Lupercalia. It first replaced the lottery of the names of women with a lottery of the names of the saints. The idea was that during the following year the young men would emulate the life of the saint whose name they had drawn. (The idea that you can preserve the appearance of a popular evil and yet somehow turn it to serve the purpose of virtue, has survived.

Look at all those people who are still trying, helplessly, to use the formats of popular television entertainments to promote good. They might learn something from this bit of history. It failed miserably) Christianity ended up doing in Rome, and elsewhere, as the Romans did.

The only success it had was in changing the name from Lupercalia to St. Valentine’s Day. It was done in CE 496 by Pope Gelasius, in honour of some Saint Valentine.

There are as many as 50 different Valentines in Christian legends. Two of them are more famous, although their lives and characters are also shrouded in mystery. According to one legend, and the one more in line with the true nature of this celebration, St. Valentine was a “lovers’” saint, who had himself fallen in love with his jailer’s daughter.

Due to serious troubles that accompanied such lottery, French government banned the practice in 1776. In Italy, Austria, Hungry, and Germany also the ritual vanished over the years. Earlier, it had been banned in England during the 17th century when the Puritans were strong. However in 1660 Charles II revived it. From there it also reached the New World, where enterprising Yankees spotted a good means of making money. Esther A. Howland, who produced one of the first commercial American Valentine’s Day cards called – what else – valentines, in the 1840s, sold $5,000 worth – when $5,000 was a lot of money – the first year. The valentine industry has been booming ever since.

It is the same story with Halloween, which has otherwise normal human beings dressing like ghosts and goblins in a reenactment of an ancient pagan ritual of demon worship. Five star hotels in Muslim countries arrange Halloween parties so the rich can celebrate the superstitions of a distant period of ignorance that at one time even included the shameful practice of human sacrifice. The pagan name for that event was Samhain (pronounced sow-en). Just as in the case of Valentine’s Day, Christianity changed its name, but not the pagan moorings.

Christmas is another story. Today Muslim shopkeepers sell and shoppers buy Christmas symbols in Islamabad or Dubai or Cairo. To engage in a known religious celebration of another religion is bad enough. What is worse is the fact that here is another pagan celebration (Saturnalia) that has been changed in name – and in little else – by Christianity.

Even the celebration considered most innocent might have pagan foundations. According to one account, in pagan cultures, people feared evil spirits – especially on their birthdays. It was a common belief that evil spirits were more dangerous to a person when he or she experienced a change in their daily life, such as turning a year older. So family and friends surrounded the person with laughter and joy on their birthdays in order to protect them from evil.

How can anyone in his right mind think that Islam would be indifferent to practices seeped in anti-Islamic ideas and beliefs? Islam came to destroy paganism in all its forms and it cannot tolerate any trace of it in the lives of its followers.

Further, Islam is very sensitive about maintaining its purity and the unique identity of its followers. Islamic laws and teachings go to extra lengths to ensure it. Salat (Prayers) is forbidden at the precise times of sunrise, transition, and sunset to eliminate the possibility of confusion with the practice of sun worship. To the voluntary recommended fast on the tenth of Muharram, Muslims are required to add another day (9th or 11th) to differentiate it from the then prevalent Jewish practice. Muslims are forbidden to emulate the appearance of non-Muslims.

A Muslim is a Muslim for life. During joys and sorrows, during celebrations and sufferings, we must follow the one straight path – not many divergent paths. It is a great tragedy that under the constant barrage of commercial and cultural propaganda from the forces of globalization and the relentless media machine, Muslims have begun to embrace the Valentines, the Halloween ghost, and even the Santa Claus. Given our terrible and increasing surrender to paganism the only day we should be observing is a day of mourning. Better yet it should be a day of repentance that could liberate us from all these days.

Please Forward it to other Muslim brothers and sisters to stop them from practicing such bid’ah… It is our duty as a Muslim and a Human being to spread the knowledge of our deen.May ALLAH forgive us for the sins we do consciously or unconsciously.. A’ameen

NOTICE: READING THIS WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO WRITE THE KNOCKER PROPAGANDA. :) (This has been one of my libelous scandal, successful to alarm and test few entities in school) Reading this long disinteresting format seem tiring to eyes.. . but it worth a while.

End the cycle of scandal and personal interest, that betrayal of public trust and interest was clear, not to mention it specifically.

And restore accountability to PICE-ACES!

Unfathomable emptiness and irresponsibility, and moral bankruptcy of the last two years PICE officials’ terms shall have their end.

Most of CE population were angry about the obvious flaws.

The politically motivated immature withdrawal of power had been a disaster.

THAT UNWITTY REINVASION FOR THIS YEAR MIGHT BE EVEN WORSE.

“Why bother? They’ll be out after one year. Why spread this?”

Their FUN must be over, its feat have its finale. We, civil engineering students, are on call of true leaders. This is the time to restore honour and dignity to our beloved Association of Civil Engineering Department; to usher in a new generation era of restoration that will leave no helpless child behind (who among you haven’t still received your unclaimed shirts in Mark’s term) J

As your ate, before I graduate I want to issue you this note: DON’T SUPPORT THE PICE EXECUTIVE OFFICIALS FOR THE LAST TWO TERMS WHICH ARE NOW AGAIN HAVE A SKIN TO RUN FOR ANOTHER POSITION. I could see that they can do nothing, especially that Rodel and Carvin. They never ,ake a way as far as I know to resolve Mark’s flaw regarding department shirt.

CAUSE IF ONLY THEY REACT AGAINST IT, AND ACT RESOLVING IT, MAYBE NOW PICE IS ACCREDITED AND THIS YEAR, THE RE-ELECTED OFFICIALS IN A DIFFERENT POSITION, HAS PROVEN THEMSELVES THAT THEY CAN DO NOTHING.

I wonder why good heavens permit them to be seated again this ending academic year 2010-2011. To give them a chance to makeup of their glitch? So be it. AND WHAT NOW? Things got worse.

All of a sudden I could see their names again campaigning for themselves in a position they are not worth of.

Then, there we have Carla running as president. I asked my friend about her. And through some inquiries, I knew she was once a second year representative of Mark’s slate. “Ah, ganun ba?” [Ah, really?]

Goodness, is there anyone willing to run as president aside from those tested worthless officials of the last two terms?

Just then, there are these guys who gave me leaflet of this Carla’s slate. I thought of asking, “Ano tinatakbuhan niyo?” [What are you running for?]

“Ai, ate hindi po. Supporters kaming lahat po na classmates niya tumutulong for her. Kahit ayaw naming tumakbo siya as president, kailangan naming tumulong at suportahan siya dahil gusto niya at naniniwala po kami na kaya niya.” [Oh lady we don’t. We are just her classmates who support her. Eventhough we don’t want her run as president, we want to support and help her because we know that she can do it.]

If I was her classmates, I won’t help her. LOL. But to think of how passionate her classmates might be for unknown reasons just to help her can be a sign that she is a good leader to test. (For once, she already had been an officer). And it signifies that she could move mountains.

I never knew this Carla personally, BUT I THINK SHE WORTH A TRY.

THIS IS ADDRESSED TO ALL CE STUDENTS: (Even to the line-up of this Rodelle and Carvin)

OPEN YOUR EYES.

Don’t let those officials from the last two terms have their seat again. Not because I have something about them, but they are already tested for two years. And still their fields are barren; they accomplished nothing for the students. They bear no good fruits. To tell you honestly, I miss my first and second year stay here in this college. The presidents by then are really ROCKING and RESPONSIBLE! I just don’t know why the last good leader produced was KING.

NOW FELLOW CE STUDENTS, TIME TO THINK. VOTE RIGHT! WE ARE SO THROUGH WITH THAT VOTE STRAIGHT.

As always, when is the time for change!? NOW! I hope that CHANGE in CARLA’s slate is for good. Then, shoe it to us Ms. Carla. We have the right to demand for it.

People of earth let us support Carla for her slate’s uprising. What uprising is this anyway? Explain it to us further. J

God bless all of you BSCE students of PUP. My wish, I hope I am sure this summer to march the aisle for my diploma. Hehe.

Hope this note could help you decide to choose the right one, now.

Your ate now signing off.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

NOW!!!

Since you’ve learned how to write a good lawful propaganda, spread the word. Let the people who are involved in an outrageously brought out solicited complain have a fall-back to rest their butts.

SUGGESTION!!

Making-up your mind digging the bivouac to hide such hideous, shameful faces is NEVER an option. Instead, start formulating answers for beseeched crime and solution for such impeding and malevolent acts you marry yourself.

ONE THING!!

Good luck! Love is in the air for those who hug peace and goodness. Since you exhort yourself commit a grand of grand crimes, let good earth help you find your way out for the nasty labyrinth you made for yourself.

Afghanistan is, by far, the largest grower and exporter of opium in the world today, cultivating a 92 percent market share of the global opium trade. But what may shock many is the fact that the US military has been specifically tasked with guarding Afghan poppy fields, from which opium is derived, in order to protect this multibillion dollar industry that enriches Wall Street, the CIA, MI6, and various other groups that profit big time from this illicit drug trade scheme. Prior to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Afghanistan was hardly even a world player in growing poppy, which is used to produce both illegal heroin and pharmaceutical-grade morphine. In fact, the Taliban had been actively destroying poppy fields as part of an effort to rid the country of this harmful plant. But after 9/11, the US military-industrial complex quickly invaded Afghanistan and began facilitating the reinstatement of the country’s poppy industry. According to the United Nations Drug Control Program (UNDCP), opium cultivation increased by 657 percent in 2002 after the US military invaded the country under the direction of then-President George W. Bush.

More recently, The New York Times (NYT) reported that the brother of current Afghan President Hamid Karzai had actually been on the payroll of the CIA for at least eight years prior to this information going public in 2009. Ahmed Wali Karzai was a crucial player in reinstating the country’s opium drug trade, known as Golden Crescent, and the CIA had been financing the endeavor behind the scenes. But the mainstream media has been peddling a different story to the American public. FOX News, for instance, aired a propaganda piece back in 2010 claiming that military personnel are having to protect the Afghan poppy fields, rather than destroy them, in order to keep the locals happy and to avoid a potential “security risk” and FOX News reporter Geraldo Rivera can be heard blatantly lying about poppy farmers being financially supported by the Taliban, rather than the CIA and other foreign interests. So while tens of thousands of Americans continue to be harmed or killed every year by overdoses from drugs originating from this illicit opium trade, and while cultivation of innocuous crops like marijuana and hemp remains illegal in the US, the American military is actively guarding the very poppy fields in Afghanistan that fuel the global drug trade.

It is assumed that the truth makes us free, but for many, cheating is the key to money, fame, revenge and power. Here are some of the most significant and serious frauds in history. Although this list may not be comprehensive, yet it covers various areas of life: politics, science and even art.

Trojan Horse

If the war as in love, all good, then this lie can be forgiven. When the Trojan Paris ran off with Helen, the wife of the king of Sparta, war broke out. It raged for 10 long years, when the Trojans believe that finally defeated the Greeks. However, they knew little, because the Greeks had prepared them for another trick.

The Greeks built a huge wooden horse with a hollow belly, which hid the warriors. After the Greeks, convinced his enemies that it is a peace gift, the Trojans gladly accepted it and “led” the horse in his fortified city. At night, when the Trojans were asleep, the Greeks emerged from his hiding place and attacked and defeated.

This was undoubtedly one of the largest and most successful methods known to history, unless of course it’s true. Homer mentions a horse in the “Iliad,” Virgil said about him in the “Aeneid.” Evidence suggests that Troy actually existed, that gives some certainty tales of Homer, and scientists have long examined how historically accurate are some of the details of his stories. According to one version, the historian Michael Wood (Michael Wood), a Trojan horse just used as a battering ram to enter the city.

This lie is a classic scenario in order to please the critics. This man was an artist, but felt undervalued. He thought he could do the trick for what experts art recognized him as a genius.

In the early 20th century, scientists have argued about whether the series of works depicting biblical scenes, was written by the great artist Jan Vermeer Netherlands. Van Meegeren immediately took the opportunity and went to work, forging one of those controversial paintings titled “Disciples at Emmaus.” With the relentless attention to detail, he forged a crack and skillfully ages his creation. He deliberately played on the confirmation bias of critics, who wanted to believe that Vermeer painted these pictures. And it worked: experts praised the picture, when they were authentic, and van Meegeren, meanwhile, began selling more and more counterfeit works of art. However, greed, perhaps, surpassed his desire to praise, so he decided not to impersonate.

Nevertheless, van Meegeren, who worked in the 1930s and 40s made a grave mistake. He sold one of his paintings a prominent member of the Nazi party in Germany. After the war the Allies found him a conspirator, who are selling “national heritage” to the enemy. In this regard, he had to reveal his secret, in order to remain at liberty. In order to prove that the painting sold to a German, was not a national treasure, he has forged yet another masterpiece in the presence of the authorities.

He received a sentence is easy enough, for a period of one year, but two months after the trial, he died of a heart attack.

The scheme of Bernie Madoff

When Bernie Madoff (Bernie Madoff) admitted that his investment firm was “one big lie,” he’s a little slukavil. In 2008, he described how the possession of 50 billion dollars of investors who entrusted him with their savings. Madoff used a Ponzi scheme to keep afloat his company over 10 years.

This pattern of fraud is named after Charles Ponzi (Charles Ponzi), who used similar tricks in the early 20th century. The system worked as follows: schemer promised investors high returns, but instead of investing money, he leaves a part of their own, with the remainder used to repay the debt to other investors.

Madoff did not invent this lie, he modified it slightly. First, he managed to extract a record amount of money, following the scheme. He also managed to turn the circuit record amount of time. Typically, these scam quickly came to an end, because it always had to find more and more investors. Furthermore, this lies especially shocking, because Madoff was well respected and authoritative expert in the financial sector. Compare it to

False Anastasia Anna Anderson

With the onslaught of the Russian Revolution, the existence of the royal family sickened policy of the Bolsheviks. In 1918 they destroyed the royal Romanov family – Tsar Nicholas II, his wife, son and four daughters, with a view to the future, none of the heirs has revived public rallies in support and in any way claim to power.

Soon, rumors surfaced that some members of the royal family escaped and survived. As expected, the appearance of “one of them” did not take long to wait. Anna Anderson (Anna Anderson) was the most famous of all the false Anastasia. In 1920, Anderson was hospitalized after a suicide attempt, coming to himself, she admitted that she was the Princess Anastasia, the youngest daughter of the royal family. She stood out among the likes fake princesses that was very similar to the real Anastasia, she knew many details about the family and life at court.

Despite the fact that a very small number of relatives and friends who knew Anastasia believed Anderson, the majority still considered her a liar. In 1927, former roommate said her name was Francis Shankovska (Franziska Schanzkowska), but no Anna, and, of course, not Anastasia. But that did not stop Anderson, she continued to pretend to be Anastasia, in an attempt to cash in on it. In the end it just got entangled in legal proceedings that spanned decades, however, has not retracted his words, until his death in 1984. Many years later, the autopsy that was the royal family’s remains, DNA analysis has confirmed that she had lied. In 2009, experts have finally confirmed that all the remains were found, and that no member of the royal family did not escape punishment in 1918.

Titus Oates plot (Titus Oates) to assassinate Charles II

By the time Titus Oates conspiracy conceived, he had already acquired a reputation tarnished by deceit and trickery part. He was expelled from several of the best schools in England, as well as teams from the Navy. Oates was even convicted for perjury, but escaped imprisonment. However, his biggest lie was yet to come.

Grown Anabaptist preacher, and being a Protestant, Oates came to Cambridge to study Anglican mandate. After the commission of the offense, he was expelled, but was rotated in Catholic circles, with no showing off the best of his education and his pretending. With the support of his fellow anti-Catholic Tonga Yisrael (Israel Tonge), he got on “enemy territory”, entered the Catholic seminary. In fact, he enrolled at the two seminaries, but he was kicked out of both. But is not that important. By this time he has collected enough inside information and names to strike.

In 1678, Oates himself came up and allegedly exposed himself and conspiracy, according to which the Jesuits had planned the murder of King Charles II. The idea was that they wanted to replace his brother Charles Catholic James. Thereafter, for about three years, the panic did not abate, wandered everywhere anti-Catholic sentiment, and were executed 35 people.

Once in 1685, Charles died, James became the ruler and gave Oates to court for libel. Oates was convicted, is tied to the pillory, and sentenced to imprisonment. He had time to spend in jail only a few years when in 1688 on a wave of revolution in England. James was dismissed, but Oates was pardoned, and even appointed him to retire.

Piltdown man

After Charles Darwin published his revolutionary work “On the Origin of Species” in 1859, scientists scrambled to find fossil evidence of extinct human ancestors. They sought to find a so-called “missing links” in order to fill existing gaps in the time in the timeline of human evolution. While the archaeologist Charles Dawson (Charles Dawson) believed he had found the missing link is the most in 1910, he actually came across one of the biggest hoaxes in history.

The discovery was Piltdown man. Then in the career of Piltdown (Piltdown) in Sussex (England) were found in the skull and jaw with molars. Dawson brought his discovery known paleontologist Arthur Smith Woodward (Arthur Smith Woodward), who spoke about the authenticity of the remains until his death. Although this discovery and has become known throughout the world, however, a lie which underpinned the whole, a little pop up. In subsequent decades, other major discoveries have proved that Piltdown man did not fit into the history of human evolution. In 1950, tests showed that the skull of a total of about 600 years, and the jaw, apparently, belonged to an orangutan.

Some knowledgeable people all skilfully furnished.

The scientific world has been deceived. But who was behind all of this fraud? There were many suspects, including himself and Dawson. Today, most experts are inclined to believe that it was Martin Hinton (Martin Hinton), an employee of the museum, who was present at the discovery of the remains.

The Dreyfus

Similarly, a conspiracy invented by Titus Oates, the scandal has been built on lies, which is significantly influenced by national politics, and hatred generated by this lie, living for a long period of time. Alfred Dreyfus (Alfred Dreyfus) was a Jewish French army officer in the late 19th century, when he was accused of treason: selling military secrets to Germany.

After the publicity of his case, the government sentenced him to life imprisonment on the island of Devils, and anti-Semitic groups have used his personality as an example of anti-state attitude of the Jews. Nevertheless, still suspect that incriminating letters were actually fake, but the real culprit is a Major Esterhazy (Maj. Esterhazy). When the French authorities decided to hush up the matter, the writer Emile Zola accused the army in covering criminal.

The result was a scandal among the supporters of Dreyfus, who want to reopen the case, and his opponents. Moreover, both sides said little about the guilt or innocence of Dreyfus, it was more about principles. During the 12-year conflict, many anti-Semitic group disbanded, and the political priorities have changed.

After Maj. Hubert Joseph Henry (Hubert Joseph Henry) was admitted to a key case file and committed suicide, the newly elected cabinet, finally re-opened the case. The court found Dreyfus guilty again, but later he received a pardon from the president. A few years later, the civil appellate court found Dreyfus guilty, he continued his career in the army and fought with honor in World War II. Meanwhile, the scandal has changed the face of French politics.

Clinton and Lewinsky case

In January 1998, journalist Matt Drudge (Matt Drudge) reported the sensational news, which proved to be true. In the U.S. President, Bill Clinton had an affair with intern Monica Lewinsky. So far, all based only on suspicion, Clinton publicly denied the allegations, and he lied under oath and perjured, that was the basis for impeachment.

And the truth came to light as follows. Paul Jones (Paula Jones) was an ordinary member of the firm in Arkansas, when then-Governor Bill Clinton allegedly molested her. She later sued him in court for sexual harassment. In an attempt to prove the guilt of lawyers Clinton, they reached the former White House secretary and confidant of Lewinsky Linda Tripp (Linda Tripp). Tripp has been recorded telephone conversations with Monica, where she spoke about her affair with Clinton. The lawyers then pursued Clinton, asking many questions, and eventually forced him to tell the truth under oath, that he naturally did not.

During the publicity of the case, the court was summoned to the prosecutor Kenneth Starr (Kenneth Starr), and Clinton finally confessed to everything. Based on the report of Starr, the House of Representatives voted to impeach Clinton, not only because of the perjury, but also because of obstruction of justice. Despite the scandal, Clinton’s ratings among the American public is quite high at present. Later, the Senate acquitted him of charges. However, in the eyes of many Americans, his reputation remains tarnished.

Watergate scandal

In the two decades before the scandal, Clinton – Lewinsky, another American president fell into a web of lies, and this story had on the country devastating.

In the summer, shortly before the successful re-election of President Richard Nixon’s second term, were caught five people who broke the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee, who was in the hotel “Watergate.” When next year came to light details of the case, it became clear that officials close to Nixon, ordered the establishment of listening equipment there. Then the question arose about whether Nixon knew about the case, whether covered or their own planned this thing.

In response to the suspicions, showed in his address, Nixon claimed that he knew nothing, and that he did not cheat. However, this lie has returned. When it became clear that private conversations the White House, too, is written, the investigation committee released the tape. The refusal of Nixon on the basis of “executive privilege” to publicize the contents of conversation brought the case before the U.S. Supreme Court, which decided to disclose the content of conversations.

As a result, it was discovered that Nixon knew more about business than he spoke. After initiation of impeachment, Nixon resigned. This scandal has left an indelible mark on American politics and helped to the presidency a few years later, to put it mildly, not very successful man Jimmy Carter.

Big Lie: Nazi propaganda

By that time, as in the 1930s in Germany originated Nazism, anti-Semitism is nothing new. Even then, the Jews suffered from the long history of persecution and violation of their rights. And even though the Nazis perpetuated his theory, this time lie had a devastating impact. As ever, anti-Semitism began to emerge in the broad national policy, which called to remove the Jews from the face of the earth.

To achieve this goal, Adolf Hitler and his propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels (Joseph Goebbels) launched a massive campaign to convince the German people that the Jews – it’s enemies. Having complete control over the press, they blamed the Jews for all Germany’s problems, including a defeat in the First World War. They also claimed that in the Middle Ages Jews were engaged in ritual murder of Christian children and used their blood for the preparation of bread which is eaten at Easter.

Exposing the Jewish nation as a scapegoat, Hitler and his cronies organized a “big lie”. This theory says that regardless of the scale lies, people will believe it if it is repeated many times. Hitler said that all people are talking small lie, but the colossal few dare. Due to the fact that the big lie seems so unreal, people probably will believe it. So reasoned Hitler.

This theory helps us understand why, throughout history, there were so many lies.
