How to prepare for public speaking.

Whatever fears we may learn in life, with desire of will, a little education and planning, and anyone can choose to overcome that fear, and discover a new level of success they might never had discovered.

This is my oratorical piece during the STI National Oratorical Competition for 2010. The theme of the competition was : The change I want to see, begins in me.

Fear of public speaking is absolutely natural. In fact, most people fear it more than death it’s self (me included)

Public speaking is counterintuitive. That is to say what your intuition tells you is a good thing is not always the truth. And what your instincts say not to do is often the best thing to do. Your natural inner voice when you find out you have to do a public presentation is to write it all out and read it to the audience word for word. That way, so your inner voice thinks, there is no way you have to depend on memory and you won’t ever get stuck and have that sinking feeling up there when your brain empties out and you have nothing to say.

Tips on giving a successful presentations.

I do remember this oratorical piece from my childhood, would you imagine I was reciting this at the age of six during my nursery graduation. This is my brother’s oratorical piece from which he was being trained with his trainer Mrs. Mansalungan. My mother used to buy a McLain recorder for my brother to memorize the speech but I was the one who got fed up ending those words had been embedded in my mind.

One’s personality has a lot to tell about his success in life. Yet, there are skills, built-in skills or acquired skills, that makes one a winner.

Speaker’s speeches are different from one another. They differ in many things especially in their specific intention in delivering their speeches to the public.
