Falling in love can be a uniquely beautiful experience. But what is Love? Is there anything like real love or fake love? Let’s look at some major facts;

            When our country was first founded it was built on the principle and idea of freedom. The government was built “by the people and for the people.” Our idea was a simple one. Our idea was that the government was going to do what was best for the country and its people, but now a days this is not true. The system is failing and we are being misguided.

            I have not seen or heard any news about this and I am curious as to why. It is a huge violation of the U.S.A’s idea. In these modern times the congress, the president, and the media are all about money. There is not a single congress man or woman that went in an average citizen and has come out the same. They are not doing whatever they can for the people. They are doing everything they can to make their specific political party stronger.

            The people are doing it too. No one considers another parties ideas because they want one side to be stronger than the other. For this reason not only has the government failed but the citizens have too. People are no longer voting for a candidate because they agree with what they stand for. People are now voting for their favorite candidate because they are in the same group. This is the ignorance that has led our country into a hole.

            No one is doing anything for the right reasons. Election times are consumed with the powerful people on one party “teaming up” with with their competition. There is a huge and constant battle. Democrats vs. Republicans and they are fighting for power over one and other, and paying no attention to us. The workforce, the backbone, the people.

We need to act. We need to get attention from the political parties and tell them to pay attention to what we want them to do. Not what is best for the party but what is best for the people. We need to do research on who we will be voting for and make educated decision. We need to change our selves and not let anyone do it for us. It is the peoples problem and the people need to fix it. You can’t expect people to work for you well without you putting a little work in yourself.

            This is the one and only way to get the U.S back on track. We need to take control and not let anyone do things for us. I’m sure that you have stood around and dusscused your political views with a few of your buddies. So why not take that to a larger scale.Everyone needs to become educated and responsible citizens. We can’t just lay around and expect things to change around us when we are unwilling to change ourselves. Our government was started by the people and it should stay that way.

            Although I didn’t know it at the time, this quote has been, and will continue to be, the reason I have achieved everything up until that point.  For as long as I can remember my dream has been to become a doctor, specializing in orthopedics.  In all these years there hasn’t been one assignment in class or task outside school that hasn’t advanced that goal. I grasped the required knowledge in a college preparatory curriculum.  As the primary presenter for Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU), I cured the stage fright which once paralyzed me.  Everything I have learned since the age of five enabled me the work ethic essential to excel.

            Whenever possible, I seize opportunities to learn about my chosen area of study.  The majority of the community service hours I have completed were spent volunteering with an ambulance service.  The knowledge I gained while I was assisting there, supported by my background knowledge from TATU and Anatomy & Physiology and further fired my enthusiasm for orthopedics.  Through these experiences I am beginning to understand the role teachers have played in my life.

A teacher’s goal is not simply to prepare a student for the next exam, but to prepare learners for the tests and trials of adult life.  Take group assignments, for example.  These seemingly simple tasks are meant to familiarize students with a multitude of personalities.  People learn who they work best with, how to stay focused, and most importantly: teamwork.  This skill is necessary for my future as an orthopedic surgeon.  I will not always be working with the same group of nurses, so it is important to make a team out of the temperaments surrounding me.  

            Students also receive different styles of instruction from their teachers.  Labs in science are not just amusing for students, book work is not just a punishment for a classes’ poor behavior and coloring worksheets aren’t assigned just because they’re easy to grade.  Oddly enough, as students, we take life lessons from each of these assignments without realizing it.  Book work provides the background required to succeed in the labs, worksheets help to emphasize and reinforce the learning.  Each brain is wired different, so no two people have identical learning styles.  Understanding this allowed me to overcome challenges and achieve great knowledge in Chemistry. 

Beginning in kindergarten, the adults worked to help their students see life through a unique lens.  Knowing how we learn will be of great assistance in college, for our careers, and even after retirement.  People never stop learning, whether they’re in school or out, so this is yet another life skill that will foster personal growth.

            “Not for school, but for life,” in only six words, defines a way of life.  All of the lessons taken from school are not purely academic.  Some of these lessons don’t even come to light until later in life when we are struck by the need to practice these skills.  Observing certain human behaviors now, it is clear which people strive for this lifestyle.  Pondering this, I realized that this is the difference between the ordinary doctor and the remarkable individual.

When you ask people of there opinion on this topic there will normally be an awkward silence. In this they are normally contemplating on what the world will think of them depending on their opinion, and how to voice their opinion. Depending on what kind of person they are they will also want to make a point. So they are also thinking about how obnoxious and in your face, but no matter what their answer is; they are wrong.

The whole debate violates not one, but two entries in the United States Constitution. The first one it violates is the first amendment. You know where it goes “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” it is also more commonly known as separation of church and state. It is wildly inappropriate that the big “politician” goes up on the stage and states “I am of this religion and the BIBLE says the marriage should be between a MAN and a WOMAN.” This is just about the first thing you will ever hear when a politician or anyone in fact tries to justify there opinion, but the fact of the matter is that by American beliefs. Religion has no place in our or anyone’s government, and that should not even have to be brought up.

One other constitution violation is the freedom of religion, and the fact that the debate would so much as even push the boundaries on this is very sad because it is the very idea that that the pilgrims came over for. I’m going to go back to the statement that I quoted a paragraph ago. The first part of this was “I am of this religion.” I find this odd. In the bill of rights it clearly states FREEDOM of religion. It shouldn’t matter what religion you are. Come on, lets keep this strictly political people don’t bring religion into this.You may be of “our” religion but the neighbors across the street may not be. So when you are trying to speak for this country as a whole try to keep everyone in mind.
