Wondering why some people think they aren't racist when they are as bad as any Klansman that ever walked.

“You’re acting white.”,I recently heard a Hispanic (Judging from his tattoos he probably got his atitude in the T.D.C.)tell a girl that was walking with him.Because evidently she waited for the light to change before crossing the street.Which the way people drive in Texas is a good ideal,no matter how you look at it.

The remark really pissed me off especially when he said it was because he didn’t like white-people.Which doesn’t really matter, although my thoughts were not as kind(Being to old and out of shape I had to bite my tongue to keep from making a remark about his particuler species.).Over fifty some odd years I’ve found that those who think they are not racist are usually the most racist of all.I could say that I’ve met Mexicans I didn’t like, some of whom were as useless as the proverbial tits on a bull.Others were the salt of the earth.

Not five minutes had passed when I was engaged in conversation with a Man(Hispanic) who was walking his beat giving out parking tickets. After he left I was glad I had ran into him when I did since it reminded me that not all people are assholes. That a poor attitude is not a result of race but likely of upbringing.Perhaps he had got a mudhole stomped in him by a white guy in the Pen’.Perhaps he got fired for leaning on a shovel when he should have been working.

I have worked with blacks, mexicans, and whites who,if I had of had the say would have been sent down the road kicking rocks. Some were stupid, others lazy,or just useless.Yet they stayed because to fire them would have left the company open for some idiot to play the race-card.The town I have been living in for the last twelve or so years likes to paint itself as so benign as far as rce relations go.Yet before moving down here I read an article about a race riot here. When it seems a Buffaloe Soldier made the mistake of walking into the town’s Saloon like a white man or a mexican.Had them all ready to go clean that damned place out.Until the Alcady(I think that’s how you spell it.Don’t speak Spanish and have no desire to learn.)pointed out that that might not be the smartest thing they could do.

Which in a little over a hundred years was as close as they ever came to racial harmony.I mean down here if you see a car driving way too slow in the emergency lane you can bet it’s a mexican usually old,but not always. While it’s true most people preferr their own race for company this is not always true.Several years ago I was asked why I was setting with the mexicans and the blacks at the Labor Ready office here. When the option would have been to set and listen to the recently released Arian Brotherhood hood.He never could understand when I asked him what color his eyes were then called him a Judan, seeing they were brown.

Now that I think back on it I would imagine it was because he was as full of excrement as this other guy.

I haven’t had such good chuckle in a long time as I had when I read Sonia Sotomayor’s recent comment, “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Of course, she was referring to judicial decisions, as she is Obama’s appointee to the US Supreme Court whose appointment is still pending.

I am glad that she said she would hope, as hope is all she can do, in the absence of any element of realism in her thinking.

First of all, “wise Latina woman” is almost an oxymoron. I’ve known and seen hundreds if not thousands of Latina women in my 19 years in southwestern US and my 5 years in South America. Some are very congenial and polite, very sweet, and often good-looking. Many are sensible and down-to-earth, usually moreso than Latino men.

But one thing Latina women are not is terribly brainy. In fact, in dozens of IQ tests taken in the Unites States and elsewhere, Hispanic people average about 90, compared with 100 for white Americans and Europeans, 105 for Orientals, 115 for Jews and 85 for black Americans. The figure of 90 may be due to the admixture of American Indian blood among New World Hispanics. Indians average about 90 also, and I say this admitting that I am half Indian myself. I’m interested in seeking the truth, rather than in boosting ethnic pride. Looking at Sotomayor, I’d say she definitely has Indian blood too. Still, the IQ’s I mentioned are only averages, and Sotomayor is probably somewhat above average. It probably takes at least 100 to get through law school.

One can find evidence of the IQ-gap in the fact that Latin America lags behind the US and Europe economically and culturally, though there are certainly worse places in the world.

I don’t know if Sotomayor is equating wisdom with IQ, but if she is, she ought to do a little checking.

I guess everyone knows that planes, cars, spaceships, television, radio, telephones, electrical power, computers, Internet and many, many other things were invented by white males. I don’t know of any Latina who is on the books for any important invention. In fact, as I mentioned in an article that I posted a couple of years ago, it’s difficult finding a single Hispanic name, masculine or feminine, in the annals of science. There have been a few significant Hispanic writers, painters and musicians, but no scientists.

So I’m at a loss to explain what Sotomayor could have meant when she spoke of a “Latina woman with the richness of her experience” as compared with a white male who hasn’t lived that experience. It’s true that most white males have never lived the experience of being Latina women, barefoot and pregnant, but I doubt if that makes them less wise.

As for the fact that she wrote the decision in a case where 19 white firefighters taking a test for promotion were denied the promotion because no blacks passed the test, I’ll say that if I were in college and got a 100% on a test but were failed because no blacks passed the test, I’d consider burning down the school and hanging the dean.

Whites Not Allowed.

Recently, a council committee upheld a decision against , a white landlord. Who put up a “White Only” sign concerning her pool area on her rented propertyy? What’s so amazing was her weak excuse used to place her reasoning behind.

But, history has stated and confirmed that “Whites” has created more problems, within this universe. No. This isn’t an attempt to justify or criticize any pigmentation, in general. But, history has shown that while gains, was made, from white invasion, of neighborhood and country over decades and centuries. It still stands that Africa, India, and many great regions was striving greatly just to be invaded over the years, by whites.

Even, segregated communities that was prosperous, with black businesses was destroyed, by whites invading their sectors. Or using laws and regulations or a violent means all together. So, when many minorities was carving them a neighborhood separate, from whites. It seems that when they wanted to expand their territory.

When you point things out, with a measure of truth. Then, one group cries more than they should when the table is turned on them. It’s that phase of you can diss it. But refuses to accept the truth about yourself. Like segregated water fountains during the golden days. What purpose did it really teach us? The water was still the same and came, from the same source in many cases.

Sure, we still have old blue bigots in society. Except, when confronted with truth they start denying the obvious to any ear that listen. I wonder if HEAVEN is segregated? Of course not because we all know that God is love. Which a racist must accept one day in their lifetime

Sort of like a Puerto Rican "Do The Right Thing", but not exactly.

Boricua (2004) or Chicago Boricua, is an interesting look at life one summer for Puerto Ricans in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. Humorous at times, tragic at others, it has been characterized by a user of IMDB as a Latino Do The Right Thing. While that is a great characterization, it does not seem to be a Latino remake of that movie as much as it does the ghetto comedies that have evolved since the nineties. Many of these comedies talk about serious issues, but they do so using humor as a backdrop.

What is refreshing about Chicago Boricua, is that unlike those films, many of which are often set in New York or Los Angeles, we get to experience Chicago on film through a unique perspective. The movie is also rather frank, and a bit explicit, in depicting sexual situations and drug use, going a lot farther than those movies have through tounge-n-cheek tactics. The movie is not as isolationist or racist as Do The Right Thing, or the movies that come after it can be, conveniently showing the Latino culture, and the White friends of the main characters in the movie.

It is not as clear that White people are the enemy in this film as it was in Do The Right Thing. Characters are opportunistic, and their environment makes it possible for them to do things that they normally would not do otherwise, such as what happens when Lola steals marijuana from Willy. A White girl really wants to represent the community in a beauty pageant, but has to lie about being Latino in order to do so. The movie masterfully gives you a look into Puerto Rican culture, issues like passing as White, or passing as Latino, assimilation, and the parallels between culture on the street, and those from good neighborhoods that happen to be street smart, even if they do not come across as being so. You also get a look into the Paseo Boricua neighborhood in Chicago, which is the community in question that this movie addresses, and the location where the film was shot. You don’t know who is White, Latino, or Black in this film, and that is part of the fun. At the end of the day one leaves with the sense that it does not really matter, which is one of the points that this film subtly makes; the culture is far more important than any one persons racial identity.

Why is it such a big deal when a Black girl is with a White guy?

I still don’t get it. We dated White girls in the nineties, and our fathers dated White girls in the seventies, and their fathers dated White girls, well, you get the point. Actually, their fathers could been killed for it. The first interracial marriage was between a Black woman and a White man, way back in 1967, at least the first legally recognized union between a Black woman and a White man. Loving vs. Virginia; well technically, Loving was part African, part Native American. But this occurred in Virginia of all places, you know, the Commonwealth.

So if a Southern man felt that a Black woman was alright why are we still talking about this 44 years after the fact? This is pure insanity; Black women have a hard time with Black men. Some have a hard time getting one to commit to them, some have a hard time getting one to hold down a job, some have a hard time getting a Black man to publicly acknowledge the relationship, no matter how you look at it, Black men and Black women have some communication issues. The lack of respect, and of taking each other seriously, goes both ways.

Would you rather just expect that these Black women continue to stay at home, or continue to pursue relationships with Black men that do not work out? You never really know if you like something unless you try it; Black men have “tried out” White woman for decades, eons, it probably happened during slavery.

We don’t own Black women, and we shouldn’t want to. If you are in a partnership, long term relationship, or marriage to a Black women, those are that women that you concern yourself with. What happens with Black women that do not know me, would not care to know me, and for the most part, are not interested in Black men is not any concern of mine. It goes back to antiquated ideas of some mystical Black race and mythological Black community that does not exist through the means in which a lot of us would like to think that it exists. Everyone has their own mind, and everyone is doing their own thing.

Our level of concern, our appreciation, and our admiration of Black women has to go beyond what is merely sexual, and evolve into something completely different. Because that is what the opposition comes down to. There are still plenty of Black women that desire to be with a Black man. Even if that were not the case, it would not matter, just learn to evole and change and respond to the circumstances, and cross that bridge when one absoltely has to do so.

Black And White.

A professor is sent to darkest Africa to live with a primitive tribe. He spends years with them, teaching them reading, writing, math and science.

One day the wife of the tribe’s chief gives birth to a white child. The tribe is shocked, and the chief pulls the professor aside and says, “Look here! You’re the only white man we’ve ever seen and this woman gives birth to a white child. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what happened!”

The professor replied, “No, Chief. You’re mistaken. What you have here is a natural occurrence, what we in the civilized world call an albino! Look at that field over there. All of the sheep are white except for one black one. Nature does this on occasion.”

The chief was silent for a moment, then said, “Tell you what. You don’t say anything more about that sheep and I won’t say anything more about that white child.”

From Prada to Nada (2011)

From Prada to Nada, a Latino take on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility is a fun movie about what happens when children from a wealthy family come into the realization that their father, who appeared to have a lot of money on the surface, is in bankruptcy. This comes about as the father died on his birthday, and their illegitimate brother (from an affair the father had before they were born) moves in to take what is left of his assets. The brother and his wife have a viable career selling homes and wants to buy the home they’re in.

The girls move out to live with their aunt in East LA in the ghetto. They run into working class Latinos that do not wear couture, but hoodies and “street” attire. They have to eat carbs, and forsake their high protein diet. It is your typical ‘hood, that used to be Jewish, then Japanese, then Latino. It is an interesting contrast between the haves and “have nots”, and shows us what happens when you take kids from a wealthy neighborhood and put them in a poor neighborhood where one has to content with gunshots, meager accommodations, and other “working class” issues.

These Americanized Latino teenagers, that do not even know how to speak Spanish, end up appreciating true Mexican culture, as opposed to their white-washed, mainstream take on Latino culture. A contemporary take on an old classic is a nice way to explore vintage literature. The girls find love, are lied to, their hearts are broken. One ends up learning how to speak Spanish, but still longs for life back in Beverly Hills. The other embraces the working class culture. The girls come of age in a working class neighborhood, far from their “Prada” roots, but are better off for it.

Sick and tired of hearing about how Latinos are stealing what no one ever wanted a Black person to have to begin with.

I am sick and tired of hearing about Latinos this, Latinos that. Look, no one wants to do the work that Latinos are willing to risk their life to do. This is okay with me, because I am not willing to do that work either. For the wages that Latinos are paid under the table, they can have that work. Some Latinos are actually saving their money, investing it, running their own businesses, sending their children off to college, you know, all of the things that African-Americans are supposed to do, instead of spending their last dime on Creative Recreation shoes and Martin Maison Margiela sweaters.

It is not their fault that Black men refuse to go to college and make something of themselves. It is not their fault that Black women are the patriarchs in our families, and do not respect us as Black men. Black Americans say that Mexicans are racist, are they, are they really? When was the last time that a Mexican burned a cross on your yard? When was the last time you suffered physical violence, at the hands of a Mexican, because you are Black, and you were minding your own business?

No what probably happened is that you wanted to talk to someone and tried to get with someone and a cousin, their spouse, someone’s brother or sister, or whoever else came after you. Latinos are not taking our jobs; they are just taking the fall because this is just want more way in which the status quo can cause division and get us to fighting with each other. Latinos are just a scapegoat for larger issues between Blacks and Whites, mainly, that White people never wanted to hire us in the first place, but did, begrudgingly, and now, do not have to hire us so it is 1950 for Negroes all over again.

When will we ever realize, that if the White man wanted to hire us to do the job, he would hire us to do the job. When are we, as Black men, ever going to realize that there are so many Black women with the qualifications to do the work that we will always be the last one hired, even after Latino women? We really need to wake up and smell the coffee. Latinos are not our problem; our lack of initiative is our problem. Why would you hate on a Latino over a job that you should be too educated to concern yourself with in the first place?

A lot of guys who are not really sure where to go to meet Asian women. Let’s face it, many young high-quality not found in bars and nightclubs … and certainly not for girls who are “shy guy” (which describes a large percentage of Asian women), or are busy with their studies. Therefore, it is time for you to think “outside the box.”

I’ll explain some large environments where you can meet tons of hot Asian … and one of the great advantages of meeting in these places is that their “duty” is not in place. You can start conversations with girls in a way that feels natural and pleasant.

1. The art galleries and festivals. Check your local newspapers for notices of events with Asian artists and crafts. Not only are these great places to meet girls, but also an opportunity for you to pick up some items that will enhance your home decor. (Having some cool Asian art and furniture will create topics of conversation when you have a great girls over for you.)

2. Asian Supermarkets. Today, most of the cities of the western part of the world is a significant Asian population and Asian supermarkets that serve their food preferences.

I ended up going out with a number of Asian girls that I met in these places. I usually grab an object from the shelf and ask the girl for his assistance in the translation of the ingredients.

I tell him I’m going to the birthday party for my friend in Asia, and I want to try to prepare the dish to bring. (More in the dark will show how to cook Chinese food, the girl is more amused and attentive! Sometimes these conversations eventually inviting him to come for me to cook his favorite dish in my apartment.).

3. Auto Shows. Young Asians are part of fast, flashy, souped-up car. (If you saw something, “Fast and Furious” movie, you know what I’m talking about.) Plus, which often seem to assume a super-hot Asian models show off their vehicles. Definitely worth a visit!

4. Business / Computer conventions. Very mature, professional (but sexy!) Asian women to participate in these conventions, network and advance their careers. These are great places to meet women, especially if you are looking to meet intelligent, career-minded women.

5. Casinos. The Chinese, in particular, are very serious about their games. If you have any casinos in your area, you are guaranteed to attract a large number of local people in Asia.

The best places to meet girls are in the food court area (when taking a break from the game) or at the tables, if you’re willing to bet money and know how to play the game.

In my case, I’m a decent blackjack player, so you can always sit next to an Asian woman and play the game with it. As soon as the two won a hand, I’ll give you a maximum of five, and start a friendly conversation with her.

6. Chinese cultural events and festivals. The New Year is the most important festival for Chinese people. It begins in February and lasts for 15 days! Check your local newspaper and Internet news, events and festivals, which often include street festivals, if you have Chinatown in your area. Do not miss!

7. Asian groceries. Asians are big believers in the field of preventive medicine and holistic health (which is good stuff to learn). You can learn a lot from hanging out in Asian grocery stores health, and to build a network of Asian women.

                                                                                8. Universities. I saved the best for last. In America, our colleges completely flooded with young Asian women! In many universities that are part of the University of California, over 50% of Asian American students.

This means that a large number of beautiful, intelligent young hotties that are ripe for the picking. Visit your local campus, stroll through the gardens and find the “Student Center” where people go out and take breaks to study.

You can be sure to find places where the events and upcoming activities. Go to any Asian-style event.

A perfect conversation starter: tell the girls that you plan to take a course in a subject that interests you.

These are just some ideas to get going quickly. “Secrets of dating Asian women” program contains an entire chapter in the place to meet Asian women … and of course, besides this, you will also get all the insider tactics on how to deal with girls in Asia, start conversations, make connections, and easily obtain the phone numbers and dates.
