He pleaded guilty, saying the rape court trial had become too boring. The trial judge himself said that he saw the filthy photos as the victim of the rape trial was testifying. Wonder what he exactly wanted those on trial to do to spice up the trial?

A renown London court clerk whose prime duty was to administer the paper works of a rape case being handled by his Court Judge has now found himself in the dock being prosecuted for indecent conduct in a public office. He was caught red handed surfing porn sites behind his very Judge, as a rape trial was being handled by the same Judge. For the period of two days that the rape trial went on between December 9 and 10, 2011, Mr. Debasish Majumbder, 54, was found to have viewed 30 porn images and could have viewed even more had he not been nabbed.

He was promptly arrested and charged with being in possession of indecent images. A further search in his house revealed, he had hundreds of pornographic tapes and images on his home computer. He has since pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office and other counts of being in possession of pornographic materials, including those to do with child pornography. He however hastened to add that he was forced into surfing porn sites during the court session after the ongoing rape trial had become very boring! It is not clear what kind of excitement Debasish Majumbder wanted to derive from the rape trial, but he continued to insist, the rape trial had become very “boring”

His lawyer however, defended Debasish Majumbder, saying, he is a mentally sick man whose obsession for pornographic images came about after a stroke he suffered a few years ago. His sentence has been momentarily delayed because his lawyers have requested that he be examined by a psychiatrist before he is sentenced.

There is a book called “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and that is the slogan that the army is giving to victims of rape. Sexual assault against women in the military has become just part of the training.

By José Antonio Ramos

It seems the military continues to perpetuate a culture of rape without consequences. There have been countless sexual assaults in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Reserves and private contractors like Halliburton and KBR. These acts of sexual violence are often left unpunished. Many times the victims are forced to continue to interact or to receive orders from the men who assault them. There are multiple cases of perpetrators who were promoted with full honors despite they were accused of sexual violence. However, the military far away of taking action against the rapists or at least protect the victim, they intimidate and harass the victims for daring to stain the good name the army.

If you want prove of this, just check these names; Sarah Albertson, Panayiota Bertzikis, Jamie Leigh Jones, Sally Griffiths, Suzanne Swift, Jennifer Dyer, Orlinda Marquez, Arabella Rivera, Yuriria Acuna Pineda, Medic Susana Armenta and Sofia Rodriguez. One extreme case was the one of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who was murdered after accusing another Marine of rape. Time to revise some statistics: there were 2,947 reports of sexual assaults in the military in 2006, an increase of 24% from 2005. In 2010, the military received 3,292 reports of sexual assault. In March 2007, more than half of the investigations dating back to 2004 resulted in no action and when action was taken, only one third of the cases resulted in courts martial. And of course those numbers represent just the victims who did have some courage left to try to get some justice. [Abc Feb 15th 2011 / Los Angeles Times Jan 30th 2008] Just as an example, right after a jury rejected the lawsuit of Jamie Lee Jones against the military contractor KBR, a former subsidiary of Halliburton, KBR requested Jones to pay $2 million in legal fees they spent on the case. Jones accused her co-workers of drugging and gang-raping her in Iraq in 2005 while working for KBR [Democracy Now Aug 24th 2011] We must not ignore, that also men are targets of sexual harassment but at much lower proportion.

A New York City newscaster was accused of sexual assault. He is the son of a police commissioner.

The news
Good Day New York newscaster Greg Kelly (43) was accused of sexual assault. A woman has come forward and accused Greg Kelly of sexually assaulting her. The alleged assault took place in October 2011 in New York. What makes the situation more complicated is the fact that Greg Kelly is the son of NYC police commissioner Ray Kelly.

The woman (in her late 20s or 30s) made the complaint at the 13th Precinct station. The woman hasn’t said why she waited so long to come forward about the alleged sexual assault.

The woman claimed that she and Greg Kelly went out for drinks on the night of the attack. They went to her office where she works as a paralegal. According to her story, Greg Kelly raped her in her office. They stayed in touch with each other after the alleged assault. Greg Kelly has denied the charges that he sexually assaulted the woman.

To add to the alleged assault, the woman claimed that she was pregnant as a result of the attack. She said she had an abortion when she found out she was pregnant.

When the woman’s boyfriend informed him of the alleged assault, he informed the commissioner at a public event about the incident. The boyfriend accused Greg Kelly of ruining his girlfriend’s life.

Since Greg Kelly is the son of the commissioner, the district attorney will be conducting the investigation. The police are determined to find out what really happened between the two of them.

As of now, Greg Kelly has not been charged with anything.

My thoughts
This is a tough situation for Greg Kelly as well as the accuser. Greg Kelly is a newscaster who reports the news and now has found himself headline news. It must have been hard for the people at Good Day New York to report this story about their colleague.

I wonder why the accuser waited so long to report the alleged assault. The time she waited is going to make her lose credibility. She destroyed possible evidence of the attack by waiting so long to come forward. It’s going to be even harder for her to prove that an assault took place. Rape is already hard enough to prove, but she made it even worse by waiting so long to say something.

I wonder why her boyfriend had to tell the commissioner about the attack. You would think that she would have been the one to tell the commissioner what happened.

This must be difficult for the commissioner. He is used to solving crimes and now his son is involved in a major crime. He most likely wants to help prove his son’s innocence, but he is choosing to stay out of it. It is the best thing for him to do because there will be a conflict of interest because he could tamper with evidence. I’m not saying that he will tamper with evidence, but there will always be doubt that he might.

I’m not sure which one to believe since I was not there. Whether Greg Kelly is innocent or not, his career as a newscaster is over. There’s no way he will be taken seriously when he’s reporting the news. People will always wonder if he’s guilty of sexual assault or if his father helped get him off the hook.

What are your thoughts on the newscaster accused of sexual assault? Do you think the woman waited too long to come forward? Do you think the police commissioner will get involved in the case? Do you think Greg Kelly will have a future in broadcast news?

Rick Santorum's opposition to abortion includes cases of women becoming pregnant after a rape.

Rick Santorum is a staunch pro-life advocate. In a recent comment he said that women who become pregnant after being raped “should make the best of a bad situation.”

It is obvious that Santorum has little experience with rape victims. If he did, he would realize that the violent sexual abuse a woman endures when she is raped results in severe pain, depression, feelings of worthlessness, and suicidal thoughts.

Santorum says the baby would still be a gift from God even if it was given in a “broken” way. I suggest that Mr. Santorum and anyone who agrees with him spend a day with a woman who has been recently raped and understand the horror of the crime she has lived through. Rape is a denegrading experience that is dangerous to a woman’s mental and physical well-being.

After a rape, women have to be examined by a doctor, report the crime, follow up with law enforcement, and have tests for STD’s and AIDS. They must also consider how to deal with the potential trauma of an unwanted pregnancy.

RAINN, Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network reports that every 2 minutes someone in the US is sexually assaulted. 44% of the victims are under the age of 18. 80% of the victims are under the age of 30. 60% of these abuses are never reported to police. Government policies should protect the victims of rape, not deny them their right to choose.

Rape victims need concern and support. They do not need the “Holier Than Thou” attitude of radical Pro-Lifers to direct their decisions. A woman should not be forced to have a baby that has been conceived violently against her will.

A serious obsequious diatribe because I am shaking trying to tell you this or are you that?

I know that BIG BROTHER is married. He lives in a town called Broadman. His wife answered the phone several years ago and claimed to be me. I told her that she couldn’t be me because I was me. She said that was not possible because she was me. I said, You can’t be me because I am me.

That didn’t seem to have much relevance to me or was that her. I am sorry, MRS. BIG BROTHER but I am me. If I am me you can’t be me.

I know that BIG BROTHER is married. He tried to have sex with me. I showed him the door. He then told his wife that I had raped him. I can’t rape a man because my brother’s sister would ask me to pay her what I got for performing sex on him. Seriously?

He said that I tried to have sex with him? What the hell, BIG BROTHER. You can’t say that I raped you and that I tried to have my way with you. Rape is a serious offense. I never raped BIG BROTHER. BIG BROTHER tried to rape me. He didn’t because I showed him the door.

I know that BIG BROTHER is married. He also knows that he is married. He can’t be married to more than one body because that is against the law. Either he is secretely married to more than one woman or he is a liar.

We, in 2012, living in the United States are under the persecution of BIG BROTHER and his wife MRS. BIG BROTHER.

Connecticut – My God! A paramedic in the United States accused of raping a woman who lay unconscious in the ambulance. The incident happened when the young woman was rushed to hospital!

The 22-year-old woman fell and suffered a concussion at a party. The unnamed woman was immediately transported by ambulance to the hospital. Well, in the middle of the journey, the woman who originally came out and found unconscious paramedic middle overpower him. According to her, she was unable to fight because he was strapped to a stretcher.

This was conveyed by police Hamden, New Haven County, Connecticut, as reported by News.com.au daily, Saturday (01/07/2012).

For the incident on 25 December, Mark Powell from North Haven, Connecticut, surrendered on Thursday, January 5 local time to face charges of first-degree sexual assault. 49-year-old man is currently free on bail of U.S. $ 25,000.

Initially, police responded to reports of a woman who suffered a concussion. The woman was given first aid on site. To the police, she admitted being raped on the way to the hospital at Yale-New Haven Hospital. The woman reported to police several days later after he was allowed to leave the hospital.

According to Hamden police officer, Ronald Smith, at the time, Powell was the only person who was in the ambulance in addition to the driver and the victim.

The case is currently being investigated. Investigators are still conducting interviews and waiting for laboratory results.

According to U.S. paramedics, according to national standards, just one paramedic who was behind the ambulance when carrying patients to hospital. Over this incident, Powell has been administratively sanctioned the investigation was suspended from his job until the case is completed.

Crime does not just have the intention of the perpetrators, but also the opportunities. Beware!

Hello friends, this issue is for those kinds of people in your life that...
feedback please.

takes joking to a dysfunctional level. Psychs you carefully. You let them know you don’t appreciate it, however, they still do it. So you do the next best thing. You tell our family and ask for help. If they still don’t listen. You ask them to leave and watch them leave,. Then you realize its them not you. And, have a better day. If the family member come back in a worse mood and starts acting worse,. By damaging property, etc, most likely they are asking for help. You will no doubt have to call Law Enforcement. And let the family member dry out. If need be.

Its always recommended to discuss with the little ones in the family about the situation. How they feel about it. Hugs always come in handy. Specially during the challenging times,.

If possibly confronting the family member or friend who is doing the dysfunctional conduct to find out what is wrong, if they don’t want to discuss it, then ask them to take a chill or etc. However, they are encouaged to “not” mess up everybody elses “Holiday’s”. If they can discuss it at a later time in private, when they feel better, absolutely. In a calm matter. Always hug your family, friends. Always remind them how important they are to you.

Of if a family member friend get out of hand. That’s when you ask them to stop if they don’t they need to leave. Christmas, the New Years eve and after should be enjoyed by all. The Holidays are not done yet, enjoying the Holiday gifts and the food and family,. Standing up to family, friends, etc’s announce should never be tolerated either during or after the Holidays or when ever a family function or etc. That’s when tough love kicks in. And, it says “stop now”.

Beings the Holiday’s bring somewhat unique attitudes out in a select (few) people, depending on where they go,. Or who they come across,. Their day can take a turn for the worst. And, depending on how they react to it or etc.. will possibly affect their surroundings. Their misconduct or etc, such as family or friends they come across. And, if they may drink or do drugs, etc.. it will only make the situation worse. Or worse yet, if they have been mentally challenged.

Getting lots of education on how to have patience management, tolerance management. You gotta be who you are. And, take deep breathes. And, believe in yourself. Talking to your family members about your Holiday experiences,.

Ask for help. You deserve a healthy, happy, festive, motivational Christmas and New Year. Despite the unfortunate situation.

Even when the Holidays are winding down. Scars may be forming because of your situation. Again, start talking. Change your life, routine. If need be cry. Realize your situation hurt you. And, you don’t have to get used to it.

Report a Sexual Assault and get treatment A.S.A.P. : Preserving DNA evidence is key evidence for law enforcement’s investigation and full prosecution of a sexual assault case.

The U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder announced today that Uniform Crime Report’s (UCR) definition of rape will be updated. This new definition is applauded by many women’s groups around the country and very well overdue. Carol Tracy, executive director of the Women’s Law Project announced, “We are grateful to Vice-President Biden for his ongoing support to take violence against women seriously and to put the full weight of his office behind reform effort.”

The definition of Rape, not changed since its effect from 1927 read: “the carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will,” which excludes anal and oral rape, male rape and rape committed without physical force but also without consent.” This outdated law is thought of a man raping a women, making him a rapist. The F.B.I. advisory board voted to change the terminology the agency defined rape. The updated change will be now read as: “penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.” However, as we all know in today’s world where young boys are molested and men are drugged and even raped by women, that the “rapist” will be arrested according to the law.

According to the F.B.I., 2010 statistics show that in the United States, a person is forcibly raped every 6.2 minutes. However, 60% do not report it. With the fear of embarrassment, afraid to go to the police and being threatened by the rapist, it no surprise that 44% of the victims are under 18 years of age.

There are so many different types of rape; gang rape, drug rape, spousal rape, to name a few. No matter the violation it’s vital for a victim of sexual assault to receive medical attention A.S.A.P. whether or not the decision has been made to report it to the police. If you are a friend/family of a rape victim be patient and listen.

The first book of a trilogy from Swedish author Stieg Larsson has spawned it's second movie: the American version.

First there was the book; then there were two more to complete the trilogy that came from the literary hand of Swedish author Steig Larrson; then there was the excellent movie made by Swedish director Niels Arden Oplev of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo;” and now there’s this remake of it for American audiences. I don’t mean to bore you with this recap but it is an extraordinary journey for a work of literary art to take and well worth keeping in mind for what it tells us about Larsson’s achievement.

The topmost question in the minds of many a movie-goer and reader is how do these versions of the same work compare? Most interestingly, if you want a two-word answer. To expand it a little, Larsson’s work is so abundant with drama and character that you have only to adapt it to film in a faithful manner to make it work.

Both pictures do, smashingly well, and on a purely artistic level there need not have been a remake. But the justification for it isn’t purely artistic. What producer Scott Rudin, director David Fincher and others saw in the remarkable material was a potential that couldn’t be fulfilled with a foreign film, however well made and commercially successful and this story of governmental abuse, courage in the face of terrible odds, a serial killer and the cleansing effect of personal rage screamed for the widest possible audience. Subtitles and unfamiliar casts go just so far in the U.S. and western markets.

That part of the story is in the numbers. Oplev’s version took in a little over a hundred million worldwide, with only ten of that in the U.S. That total is roughly the budget for the Fincher production, not including the advertising budget that might be as much.

The challenge for the writer and/or director lies in how well they represent Lisbeth Salander, to me, one of the great central characters in mystery fiction. The success of a movie translation is almost wholly dependent on capturing the full spectrum of her attributes which, for the most part, are stunning and captivating.

Because she was ruled legally incompetent by Swedish authorities for reasons to be revealed in “The Girl Who Played With Fire,” the second book in Larsson’s Millenium Trilogy, she was made the childhood victim of a heinous state institution and sadistic people calling themselves “doctors.” You couldn’t tell their treatments from their tortures.

Once freed from their grasp, she was assigned a legal guardian, Holger Palmgren (Bengt C.W. Carlsson), a kindly older man who understood her intellectual gifts and truly cared for her as he submitted monthly reports to the government agency, lauding her progress in assimilating into society. This happy arrangement goes sour when Palgren suffers a heart attack and is replaced by Nils Bjurman (Yorick van Wageningen), another degenerate in her life with control over her. This time, however, the justice she takes is swift and to her advantage. You mess with this babe at your peril.

Given her off-the-charts IQ and photographic memory, the now 24-year old possesses mastery of computers and programming languages — skills that lead her to a well-paying job with the exacting Milton Security company.

This is a firm that business and political leaders come to for dossiers on people of particular interest, sometimes enemies, sometimes someone they are vetting for a possible job, political appointment or, as in the current case, a person with the right qualities to solve a family mystery — a very wealthy family and a missing person mystery. In consideration of the importance of the client, retired industrialist Henrik Vanger of the Vanger Corporation, Milton CEO Dragan Armansky assigns his best researcher to the job — Ms Salander!

The person Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer,”Beginners”) wants a background check on is none less that someone who has been in the news over a case of libel. Not a detective in the normal sense, but an investigative journalist who has proven his skill and mindset in exposing hidden truths about powerful, corrupt people for his monthly magazine Millenium, He is Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist, (“Downloading Nancy,” “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocal”), journalist, publisher, part-owner.

When Dirch Frode (Ingvar Hirdwall), Henrik Vanger’s lawyer and front man, sees the results of Lisbeth’s workup on Blomkvist, he can hardly believe the comprehensive detail the report goes into. He wants to meet Salander, something she and Armansky have never permitted. Shortly thereafter, Vanger is interviewing Blomkvist in his mansion on the family compound on Hedeby Island in Hedestad and relating the mystery of his beloved niece Harriet’s disappearance forty years ago. The mystery (which, because it took place on an island, Larsson considered a “locked-room mystery”) has only been perpetuated with the framed pressed flowers that have been sent to him anonymously every year on his birthday for thirty six of them.

Henrik wants Blomqvist to do an exhaustive “once-and-for-all” investigation through all the clues and known facts on the possibility that the crusading journalist is the most likely to find something neither the police nor anyone else has, if such a thing exists.

Henrik’s timing is exquisite. Blomkvist has just lost his libel case to Hans-Erik Wennerstrom (Ulf Friberg), a corrupt billionaire financier who has been trying to close Milennium, and Blomkvist, down for years — at one point even trying to buy it. Now, as Blomkvist faces a penalty of 600,000 Swedish kroner (around $87,000 American) and some prison time, Henrik’s offer of substantial money and evidence against Wennerstrom that will dissolve the libel conviction and destroy the man behind it, Blomkvist accepts the job, under cover of doing a family “memoire” for which he will need to interview each member of the guarded clan. We meet Henrik’s niece Cecilia, her sister Anita, their bother Birger, Harriet’s brother and current CEO of the Vanger Corporation, Martin Vanger.

Given a house of his own on the island, with complete and free access to all documents pertaining to Harriet’s disappearance, he starts with the last known photos of her at a public event. In the course of working through the files, Blomkvist finds Lisbeth’s workup on him (for Vanger) and realizes that the only way she can know certain things no one but but he has ever known is by hacking his computer system. Though disturbed by this shocking intrusion, he can’t deny that a person with such capabilities would make for a very valuable
resource and he asks her to assist him on his mission.

At first hesitant, she agrees to help. Their collaboration goes well. Blomkvist meets her on intellectual grounds and impresses her when he makes a discovery that is exceptionally perceptive. Mutual respect leads to an emotional connection and trust. Lisbeth takes the initiative in expressing it, sexually. Acting on impulse, she ignores the fact that her intended lover is still very much involved with Erika Berger (Robin Wright, “Moneyball”), his partner on the magazine, and has been for years. Trouble ahead.

As well as Fincher (“The Social Network,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) and screenwriter Steven Zallian’s (“Moneyball”) cover the essential threads of multiple story lines, there is, as there must be, an abbreviation of the written work. The book tells us why Lisbeth was committed to the institution for being anti-social. It gives us a hint of critical factors like her politically connected sadist father and his association with the secret cabal operating within but independently of the government. But despite what isn’t included in the movie, taken on its own terms as a movie, it’s a powerhouse Hollywood event and a sure hit with arthouse patrons. Just watch for the Oscar nominations and, perhaps, dominance at the award ceremony.

Of great interest to those who were put under the Lisbeth Salander spell by Noomi Rapace (“Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”) in Orlev’s film is how well relative newcomer Rooney Mara (younger sister of actress Kate Mara of “Brokeback Mountain” fame) compares in the role. Let me just say that all requirements have been met and, as with Rapace, you can’t take your eyes off her as she portrays the defiant genius who will take s___ from no one. The emotional ride that Lisbeth takes us on is a star-making journey and Mara confirms it.

Also germane to the central relationship is the portrayal of Blomkvist, a plodding character whose acumen is expressed in his writing more than in his laissez faire demeanor — a portrait that wouldn’t seem to be in Daniel Craig’s portfolio. By dialing back his action hero energy and charisma, he avoids taking a controlling role with his super-sensitive colleague and allows her to transition toward an emotional connection with someone, and take a stride toward social normality. The steady, devoted Blomkvist seems to have come more naturally to Michael Nyqvist in Oplev’s version.

Technical credits are uniformly excellent with special praise going to hair, makeup and wardrobe departments, giving us a visual realization of the spiky central figure we imagined when reading the books. Thanks to them for the black leathers, the shiny piercings and the slow dissolve toward convention and natural beauty. Which takes nothing away from the great work of cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth and production designer Donald Graham Burt with the grey modality of Sweden’s northern climes.

Larsson made literary history and spawned a cottage industry with his framing of a triple-headed saga of righting wrongs (Lisbeth vs. the Swedish establishment, Harriet’s disappearance, Blomqvist vs Wennerstrom). Vengeance is the ace card in this rough game of acquiring justice in a cloaked system with degenerates at every turn, and it’s a heavyweight component of the Trilogy’s impact no matter the medium used for its telling. Fincher, a perfectionist, has made it faithfully and dynamically, satisfying the demands of attentive, discerning fans. All things considered and (I’d like to think) as one of them, I’m relieved that he has done it justice for the wider audience he will reach with his film version of a singular piece of literary art.
