So, I went to school today late, about 20 minutes before first period was over. I liked this, and the next class was Art. I was expecting to see her, but she wasn’t there. I actually got some work done today, because I wasn’t focused on making you happy. Win-lose situation. I went on to English, wrote a rap. Yes I know. Who doesn’t believe that a fool isn’t wise when the fool does the same things he knows better about? We don’t have to know the rappers name or the sex they might be because they all have many similarities in common.

Simply bad decisions that works more into their reputation. We see the rapcotic fool disobeying all the rules that the court state when placed on probation not to do to stay free. Avoid any type drugs which obviously we have read and seen these fools can’t seems to be brave enough to do. It seems they want to fit in instead, of standing strong.

The little boys with the pants off their hips can’t stand being a man withaccepting responsibilities. Avoid any type weapons especially if you has a felon conviction that dictates the reasons you should not be with in the area, of any weapon. You see the rapcotic fool claim he need it for security. But many times it’s the company you keep that create your problems.

I’m gangsta. Well, what does that truly means in terms, of holding up a image that boils around trying to a thug, of the street. Each time some, of the best respected or known rappers get arrested it seems to be their fault.

T.I knew the consequences but decided to follow his urge to smoke. Jarule recently was convicted and must go to prison after accepting a plead deal. And, we have seen many others get the justice, of their own making. But , is this really helping or enhancing their reputation as the bad of the bad to youth?

Most rappers ha better examples to follow in the music business to be better performers in the business. When you look, at Ice Cube you wouldn’t place his image as being connected to NWA because he adjusted into being a highly respected businessman.

A smart man or woman seek growth and responsibility. While a fool accepts being called a idiot, by those that follow him or her and say how stupid they truly are, as humans? Example, it’s like a bad marriage you have been through in your life. How many more do you need to go through to realize it’s not for you.

Lil Wayne was expected to be sentence 1year behind bars starting feb10 but he had to undergo dental surgery. The hearing was delayed on 02 March 10 after a little problem in the basement which forced officials to close down the courthouse for the day. 

The rapper was finally sentenced at Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday (08Mar10), and taken away in handcuffs to begin his term at an undisclosed city jail immediately. 

His attorney said he expected to leave in 8 months with good behavior. If everything goes good then he should be out before Halloween.

   Tupac was an American west coast rapper born to Afeni Shakur and Billy Garland in east Harlem section of Manhattan in new york city but originally from Marin city, California.

   2pac sold over 75 million copies of this music worldwide making him one of the best selling artists in the world. Not only rapping 2pac did but he also was a promising actor in his early days, he stared in a movie called Juice which is about the lives of four black people growing up in Harlem.

Rapping Career

   Tupac Shakur started his professional career in the early 1990s and made his first solo album called 2Pacalypse Now. In this album it talked about how the use of drugs, teenage pregnancy, police brutality etc in the world of young black people in the urban streets. Examples of the track include “I dont give a Fuck”

and “Brenda’s got a Baby”

2pac made 5 more albums including Me Against The World and more albums were released after his death.

1994 Shooting

   On November 20th 1994, 2pac was shot 5 times, twice in the groin, twice in the head and once in the thigh and arm. 2pac accused Sean Combs(Diddy), Andre Harrell and Biggie of setting him up after he saw them after the shooting. 2pac checked out of hospital, three hours after the surgery and the next day 2pac appeared in court in a wheelchair and was guilty of three counts but innocent for six others.

Bailed and Death row records

   After serving eleven months in prison, Tupac was bailed by CEO of death row records in exchange to make three albums under death row records. Tupac got back in the rap scene to make his first album with death row and released his first single called California love. On Feb 1996 he made a double album called All eyes on me, this was his fourth career album and his first and second of his three album commitment to death row. It sold over nine million copies. He also formed a group called Outlaws who later made a track to diss certain east coast rappers like biggie and mobb deep. The diss track was called “hit em up”

1996 Shooting and Death

   September 7th 1996, Tupac attended a mike Tyson and Bruce Sheldon boxing match and at about 10:55pm 2pac rolled down his window for photographers to snap photos of him and at around 11:00pm there were stopped by police for playing there music too loud and not having license plates but immediately let go and five minutes later two woman pulled up on their right side and then 2pac invited them to club 662 but little did he know it was a set up, a white four door Cadillac pulled up and rapidly fired bullets at 2Pac. The police arrived later and took 2pac to hospital and but was pronounced dead at 4:03pm on September 13, the doctors said he died of internal bleeding. Up till now the murder case has not been solved.

His music influenced us all especially the African Americans and he Will never be forgotten in our hearts.

RIP Tupac Shakur!!!

Eminem was in rehab starting on August 18th 2005 and recently got out. He had to cancel his anger management tour through Europe with 50 cent and various other artists that would have run from September 1st through September 17th. This tour will not be rescheduled but 50 cent was talking about going through part of it by himself.

The new single not afraid was released yesterday May 3, 2010. And has been the top downloaded song on Itunes and other websites since then and I’m hoping it will stay there for awhile. This single is from his upcoming album called recovery being released on June 22nd.

Not afraid is talking about how Eminem is going to stay clean now. And he is happy to be out of rehab now and hopefully won’t be going back there. In fact he even repeats that he won’t go back to rehab andis going to stand up for what he believes in, in this song.

All I can say though Em is welcome back and good luck. I hope you release more big hits like you have in the past and I will attempt to keep track of them and download most of them to my Ipod.

Once again lil Wayne is in prison. Who do he think he is? He’s a good rapper and all but that can’t help u in prison. I wonder if he’s gonna write a song about being in prison. I bet he is! Well i mean he writes alot of songs, but they all have a reason. For instance, he worte “i feel like dieing” he wrote that becasue of all the bad things he did and he felt that he shouldn’t live. So Lil need to stop acting like he’s above the law and starting acting like a good example.

Rappers have always thought for some reason they are or were or was above the law but many of these rappers are finding out the rules of justice is for everyone not just a few selected individuals.

If you ever get a felony rules get kicked in limiting certain things you can do or be around. You can lead the blind and dumb life but weapons are something you can’t purchase or have anywhere in your present if the rules says to avoid them.

We saw the rapper TI serve a year for having purchase weapons to , where many question his stupidity and the same about Lil Wayne, who now is about to serve a one year sentence for a 2007 violation that probably was pushed back by his lawyers but could no longer be done.

Sure, he will come out write a few new songs and hits but he could have avoided all of this by following the rules insstead of joining all the other fools trying to play outside the rules of justice.

This is classic example of money not being done to enhance their life style for a better life to live. I do hope the young man come away better from serving his one year sentence. Finally, the courts are realizing people, who don’t have wealth do like the law to be level to everyone , who violate the law and not just the poor.

After Tupac had died, life still went on with other rappers such as: Eminem, 50Cent, Afroman and other people. In one of Tupacs songs which can be played in reverse. He mentions still being alive and is currently in hiding. Just like a great prince who had escaped and hid untill he was around 30-40. Could Tupac really be doing the same?

It’s up for you to decide if this is true.

You don’t need to know James’ background, he was a kid in a muddle with a few misdemeanour’s under his belt who had found himself in the care of Anderida Adolescent Care, a specialist care setting for young people with a history of failed placements. But while James’ upbringing had been difficult and while he suffered knock backs often through no fault of his own, he had passion and enthusiasm by the bucket load. I was one of his carers and youth workers for a couple of years and while I may be writing a piece in part from the perspective of someone marketing an organisation, most of me simply wants to pay tribute to a lad who worked hard whilst faced with some all too familiar hurdles along the way.

The social care industry has doubtless taken a battering over recent times through mistakes and negligence by just a tiny sample of individuals within the line of work and when sharks smell blood they move pretty quickly. Moral panic is high on a lot of media’s agenda and when it gets its teeth into something, the black and white press can turn any difficult to manage situation into a story of failure and thoughtlessness on the part of those responsible. James however may be one of those stories that stand up to the relentless storm as it rains down soaking the industry and those voiceless individuals as they work day and night to help those that need a support network in order to survive.

Throughout James Julian’s time in care he was hard on himself about what kind of a person he was – he was, in my opinion, his own biggest critic, but while this is often seen as a fault it may be the reason that he pushed himself harder and further in all that he did. He threw himself into basketball. He played it, loved it and it wasn’t long before he found himself playing for the local side and then the Brighton U18’s team. He went back to school and grafted for his GCSE’s and was offered a place at college despite coming out of school at an early age. He started expressing himself through rapping; and when I say “expressing himself,” we’re not talking the kind of rap that you might hear about nothing in particular from a wannabe one man crime spree, but what he found to be the root causes of his problems, reminding himself in his words of what he can achieve and what he could become. But, it was his cooking that James found the source of his biggest passion.

It seems a long time ago now when James would insist on his carers ingesting his unresearched concoctions of wild flavours, and if I’m honest, some of them were actually quite nice, but James thoroughly enjoyed being in the kitchen and rustling something up and once that blue touch paper had been lit, there wasn’t much that could stop him.

As James approached the end of his time at Anderida he enrolled on a catering course and would bring his work and ideas home and his culinary expertise started to evolve and his food became progressively more delicious as he immersed himself and quickly picked up key skills and developed a good palate.

James went on to live in his own place, carried on at college whilst working and picking up experience in various kitchens. Effectively James “held it down,” he stayed focussed and kept his passions alive whilst life continued to throw it’s ups and downs “It can be tough living on you own,” says James “Getting up, motivating yourself and remaining focussed is the toughest hurdle to overcome.” Anderida continued to see James on a regular basis through an outreach programme to help James in any way that they could; more often than not it would be to take him to the supermarket to stock up on fresh supplies and as is the norm the outreach became less frequent until James was happy to go it alone.

A little while ago, I received a call whilst in the office from a man asking for the unit manager, she was unavailable at the time so I asked if I could help and I was delighted to hear that it was James with a “bit of good news.” James had been finishing at college and had been named The Colleges Most Promising Chef of the Year. “It was announced on the last day of college so it was all a bit emotional, but once it had sunk in I realised just what an honour it was. College was a great experience,” he said.  His catering talent was also deemed as being of a such a high standard that he and some of his college team were entered into The Nestlé Toque D’Or, a contest for catering teams from colleges to create a fictional restaurant, brand it, run it and create dishes for it. The contest rewards the next generation of industry talent and is recognised as one of the most challenging competitions in the industry. Previous celebrity chef participants include Anton Mosimann, James Martin and Jamie Oliver – all representing some of the finest talent in the profession and James and his team got through to the Grand Finals in Birmingham. The project culminated in a presentation and in true gregarious fashion, James stepped up to the plate and did a rap about his food that impressed the judges and caught the eye of one judge in particular; amongst the well respected and Michelin Star decorated panel was TV Chef , James Tanner whom, after the competition was over, James took it upon himself to approach. James Tanner was so impressed with James that he offered him a trial at his restaurant in Plymouth, The Barbican Kitchen. James went to stay down there for a few days and has been offered a full time job and understandably, he is over the moon and already planning for the future. “I’m 19 now but by the time i’m 30 I should have my own place (restaurant). Mentors at college have instilled in me the necessity for planning in this industry and I owe that to Val Rodriguez and Ron Lee of Sussex Downs College. My Mum and Dad have always been there for me everyday and for that i’m thankful and my Sister has been an inspiration: she’s articulate, she works hard and she has seen out her education, but now she’s starting to say that about me!“

Perhaps the cherry on top of all of this, a local radio station, Sovereign Radio organised a local hero awards where James was awarded “Young Achiever of the Year” for all of the above. He was unable to attend due to work commitments but his two very proud parents collected the award on his behalf.

I’m not writing a piece on a famed Gordon Ramsey type here. James isn’t quite hosting his own show and cruising in a Benz just yet but we have here a small scale success story that who knows, could develop – I always thought that he had the charisma and enthusiasm to become a TV chef, but James would probably have me for saying that! I do know that, thanks to James’ desire, ambition and flair and a well grounded support network of committed individuals he will be alright though, “Anderida helped me find out who I was by giving me the freedom and avenues to discover what I’m all about. They gave me great encouragement and helped to motivate me whilst always offering me support. I wouldn’t be where I am today without that support.” But you won’t find this on the front page of your tabloid tomorrow morning, will you?
