Fight or Flight in Disputes About
The reaction of fight or flight is a natural reaction to danger. Our bodies are created to fight or flee when danger is upon us being attacked by a mountain lion. When faced with this type of threat, stress hormones pour into our bodies, causing some blood to leave our brain and body and arms and legs. This is important for us if we actually get attacked by a mountain lion or a perpetrator. The problem is that this answer is the same when you are nervous in other situations, such as conflicts with a partner.
In case of conflict with a partner, we need the full capacity of our minds to deal rationally and lovingly with the situation. However, the time it was scary, some of the blood leaves your brain, we can not think well, and automatically enters fight or flight. This is when partners tend to fight or retreat, none of them led to the resolution of conflicts.
