4R principle be part of the recycling process. Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, and Replace.

4 this is the start made by some people who are aware of the importance of reforestation.
Here’s an explanation:
Reuse (Reusing). It’s good, if we avoid things that can only be disposable. charging the battery, be one example than we
buy a new one, which only adds to landfill waste.

Reduce (reduce). Styrofoam (cork), plastic bags and a few others, we should avoid and reduce its use. Because these items are difficult to recycle and even if the fuel could be spending more to process.

Recycle (Recycling). Like the title of this article, recycling becomes the best thing we can do and can actually benefit us find a new innovation, as well as a lucrative business field fortunately.

Replace (Replace). To reduce plastic waste and recycled goods, the goods with goods hard to safer environments. Such as replacing plastic bags with shopping bags made of cloth or replace the Styrofoam with a place where food is food from the mica.

So, spare the Earth and share inspiration!
“For lovers of the environment, recycling is an activity that makes them more intelligent with new innovations”

There is a lot of waste generated during the Christmas season. This is a time of giving, feasting, celebrating and obviously generating waste. The kind of waste generated during Christmas are mainly things like, plastic shopping bags, wrapping paper, party plates and cups which are usually plastic, food containers, car fumes (when you drive your car) among other things.

It is during such times when your kitchen is filled with plenty of bin bags filled with waste, this is a season when the earth is abused immensely with loads of waste generated during the festive season.
There are several in which you can reduce on Christmas waste without losing the holiday cheer. The following are some practical ways, in which you can use to reduce on Christmas waste.

Reuse your shopping bags

Reduce on the number of plastic bags that you go home with, after your holiday shopping. Take reusable bags with you when going for your holiday shopping and reduce on the number of plastic bags you take home this Christmas Season.

Gifting

The tradition of giving out gifts to friends, family and charities is high during the Christmas season. Give out gifts that you have never used at all to someone else. You can also give out items that you don’t need or have slightly used to charities to help you remove clutter from your home. When buying gifts, look for products that are made from recycled materials and keep the environment safe from waste.

Buy Rechargeable batteries

If most of the gifts that you are buying operate on batteries, then consider buying rechargeable batteries, rather than disposable batteries as a way of reducing on waste.
Be different this time, and give house plants or potted plants as Christmas gifts especially if the person you are buying the gift for likes gardening. You can also give out tickets to a big game as way of reducing on Christmas waste.

Gifts made out of recycled material such as welcome mat made from sisal, surface cushion tiles made from recycled tires are some of the unique gifts made from recycled material that you can give out as gifts.

Reuse wrapping paper

When wrapping Christmas gifts, you should make use of reusable decorative boxes or gift bags instead of buying more wrapping paper. You can cut the pictures of old Christmas cards and use them creatively as gift tags.
Buy Christmas cards made from recycled paper or send e-cards instead, and save on stamps and that don’t require you to drive when delivering them.

Use last year’s decorations

Instead of buying new decorations every year, use the old ones and reduce on Christmas waste. After every Christmas season, keep the decorations for reuse the following year and reduce on waste and save some money.

Recycle as much as possible

After the holiday celebrations, it is time to clean up the mess. Start with the paper waste, if there are pieces of paper that you can reuse, keep them.

There are some towns that have paper recycling projects, you can take the paper waste to such a place for recycling as a way of reducing on waste. Save any reusable ribbons, gift bags, cards and other materials for next year instead of buying new ones.

Other items that can be recycled

Instead of throwing away bottles, plastics, card-boards, cans, you can recycle these items and reduce on the waste. Clean all your glass jars and cans and keep them for future use instead of trashing them

You should also recycle your Christmas tree and store it away until next year. Buy an artificial tree which you can use for many years. According to Cygnus Groups and the Environmental News Network, About 50 million Christmas tress are purchased in the U.S. About 30 million of these trees go to the landfill. 1 acre of Christmas trees produces a daily oxygen supply for 18 people

Prepare only what you can consume

During the Christmas season, most people are fond of preparing excessive amounts of food. Food is an organic compound and it generates methane gas if the waste is not properly managed. When you compost your food waste properly, you will be helping the planet.

Give gifts that promote life style changes that are Eco friendly

Gifts such as cloth napkins and a matching tablecloth, a compost bin, reusable picnic sets, stationary made from recycled paper are among the many items that you can offer as gifts this Christmas season.

Christmas wrapping paper has more potential than just holding the presents for a few days. It can be put to another use - from reuse to recycling there are options. Read here what they are.

Recycling Christmas wrapping paper has not yet become a common thing to do, we all need to pay just a little bit more attention to what happens to it after it’s been used. Christmas presents can’t just be handed over, they have to be nicely wrapped in beautiful shiny Christmas wrapping paper with Santa, snow man, reindeer or star ornaments on them, because the attraction lies in the secret what’s in them, and the whole purpose in the mad rush of excitement when they are unveiled ripping the Christmas wrapping paper apart into thousand pieces.

Image via Wikipedia

Recycle your Christmas paper? Right – once the ceremony is over and everybody gets busy with sampling their presents, or gather at the Christmas dinner table and chat about who has got what, the paper heaps up in an unsightly irregular mountain next to the Christmas tree, and is completely forgotten. Later or even only the next morning, everything gets dumped into the general rubbish bin. It is a huge amount of paper, which goes to waste every Christmas, but could be recycled in one or another form.

If you’d like to recycle your Christmas wrapping paper after it’s been used for wrapping the presents, so what could you do, or what are the options for recycling?

1) Put it simply into the recycling bin. This especially applies if it has been torn apart into pieces.

Picture via Wikipedia

2) If you are a little bit more careful, and think of it in advance, you could just unwrap your presents with the required care, which leaves the sheets intact, and allows you to re-use them next Christmas for presents of a similar size. Think ahead! That will save you from buying more Christmas wrapping paper next year.

3) Decorative or ornamental use. Most Christmas wrapping papers have lovely prints with ornaments you could re-use for making Christmas cards or something similar for another Christmas yet to come. Cut them off neatly with a pair of scissors and store them in a box for card making. Alternatively, you could make some Christmas tree decorations from these ornaments, if you reinforce the with pieces of card board and make holes into them. This will provide you with free Christmas tree decorations of unique value.

I hope this has given you some inspiration, not to discard of the Christmas wrapping paper too carelessly this time, but pay a little bit more attention to what can be done with it. Our environment will thank you for it.

Learn some inside benefits to reducing, reusing, recycling.

Have you been bombarded with advertisements and news stories about the desperate shape our planet is in and thought to yourself, “I’m only one person, I can’t even put a dent in what needs to be done to make things better?” With all of the media coverage on issues like, acid rain, loss of rain forests, endangered animals, the depleting ozone layer and even former Vice President Al Gore’s pet project, global warming, it’s an easy thing to feel over-whelmed and small on this great space. But the reality is this; if not you, then who?

As an individual you can’t control factories pouring toxins into water ways or prevent oil leaks that endanger some species, but you can make an impact, none the less. How? First, by not adding to the madness and wasteful ways others are handling items and materials that can be recycled and secondly, and maybe more importantly, you can make an impact by being a leader in the crusade to save the planet by doing the right things.

It’s a well-known fact that when we are parents we are the top role-models for our children and that they will imitate what they see us do. Even if you are not a parent, you can still lead the way for others by taking on the awesome responsibility of being the leader. Imagine the people you come in contact with in your neighborhood who see that you don’t just talk about recycling but every week your trash collection is separated and ready for the recycle truck. What if the people you work with come to notice that instead of having your coffee every morning in a throw-away cup from the local coffee chain, you are drinking from a mug you brought from home that you rinse out and reuse? Can you just imagine the impact you would have for someone who is maybe not quite recycling like they should but decides that, after seeing that you take this responsibility seriously, decides to change the way they do things and follow suit?

Most people don’t recognize the impact they have everyday on people in their lives that they may or may not have a connection with. As a leader you “walk the talk” by abiding by the causes that mean the most to you and not just by saying the words. We are all aware of people around us and never know what we may do that will make a difference for another person. Don’t misuse this opportunity to make an impact for recycling.

When you recycle yourself, believe that there are people who are watching and making decisions everyday, by watching how you handle yourself. Big issues are often started with a few concerned, aware people, well before the word gets out to big corporations and law makers that there is a change that needs to be made.

Make every step you take count for something. Do your part in the efforts to keep our planet healthy; reduce, reuse, recycle.

Image via Wikipedia

All this talk about climate change and our “shameful” contribution to it…mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa… If I lit a campfire, at any given time of year, in centerfield of Fenway Park, how long would I have to maintain said campfire to raise the temperature at Fenway Park one single degree? Interesting question, don’t you think? …

When did we become so presumptuous as to believe that we could change the overall temperature of the Earth?

Climate change is a fact of life and has been around since Creation. There have been many recorded events of warming and cooling eras throughout the known history of this Planet. I even heard on the news, some time ago, that the temperature on Mars was exhibiting a slightly warming phenomenon. I do not believe that there are too many SUV’s being driven around, there.

As for the polar ice melting, is it not peculiar that, in turn, other areas of the world are experiencing colder climates? Hmmm… I have a theory on that. I call it the “Beach Ball and Spot Light Experiment. I think you know where I’m going with that… Why not? …

We hear about “Pole Shifting”. Is it not possible that the Earth’s “Iron Core”, which is a natural magnet, is still in the same position as it has always been, and, the “crust” wrapped around it, floating on a bed of volcanic miasma, might have been what “shifted” after all? A lot of questions remain to be answered on the whole topic.

However, all the debating on Climate Change does not relieve us from our shared responsibility of keeping a “clean house”, so to speak.

We need to keep the air we breathe clean and healthy. Recycling of non-biodegradable waste is, actually, good for a clean environment and the preservation of our natural resources.

     “House cleaning, anyone?”…

I have this idea floating in my mind for ages now and no creative outlet to be found.SO i have decided to publish this idea online with the hope that someone somewhere with the right resources may find some value in this, and have the wherewithal to take this further and make the world a better cleaner place.

The idea is very simple.

It is to provide an efficient and useful recycling alternative to the “PET”/Plastic bottles manufactured by the cola companies along with other plastic water bottles which are churned out in the millions by the F&B industry every year, ending up in Landfills and polluting the environment.

Image via Wikipedia

The Idea costs nothing, only requiring co- operation and synergy among the members of F&B industry with a desire to change the world for better. This will benefit humankind by cleaning up the environment for future generations and benefacting the poor farmers and people in the 3rd world countries at the same time.

And Whats in it for the poor F&B industry you ask?

1.This idea will potentially increase sales in third world countries.(Thirsty Poor Farmers will buy your Soda/Cola product) .
2.Will be an environmentally friendly method of recycling plastic bottles.(Read as Carbon Credits you dummkopf!).
3.Benefit poor farmers and the local economy of poor countries.(Thirsty RICH Farmers will buy More Soda/Cola)
4.Will result positive publicity to your company.

Sounds too good to be true??

Well Judge for yourself.Read on if you dare..

I am proposing that all plastic bottle manufacturers mutually agree to standard dimensions of the diameter of the various beverage bottles of different capacities .So all bottles being made say for a 2 litre cola drinks have the same diameter, ALL 1.5 Liter bottles have the same diameter and all 1 liter bottles of any Soda or Mineral water have same diameters.

And if a Cola company wants to offer increased quantities as a promotional offer then all they require to do is increase the length of the bottle keeping the diameter constant.

Why you ask ??

Well the Idea is that interlocking “threads” be molded on the outer and inner surfaces of the bottle(around the shoulder of the bottle) and also at the base of the bottle.

Take one bottle lop of the top portion of the bottle (along demarcated lines etched/printed on the surface) and do the same at the bottom.

Take another bottle and do the same.

A figure representing the proposed idea drawn after consuming 2 large whiskys…

Now insert the neck portion of the first bottle and insert it into the bottom of the second bottle and screw it .

Sounds very naughty doesn’t it, but screws ensure a water tight coupling(and opportunity for me to practise my double entendre)

(See I can still draw straight lines after 3 large ones)

(Also Please Note: The contents of the SODA bottles mentioned/depicted above have been consumed personally by the Author/Artist.)

So now you have a length of plastic pipe about a meter long in your hands. Now take another bottle ,lop of both ends and screw, and repeat and repeat.

Very soon you have a daisy chain of soda bottles formed into a long water pipe which may be buried under ground and used for irrigation or supplying drinking water, in poor countries.

Add a final bottle (uncut ) at the end of the daisy chain , make some perforations on its body , stick some plastic pen ends in it at weird angles and a ping pong ball inside as a not returning valve and hey presto you have a sprinkler /drip irrigation system which works on low pressure water flow ,without requiring high pressure pumping equipment.

There you go world….

See so simple

One Would also require a number of “T” and “X” (three way and 4 way) junctions to cross link the bottle pipe but these could be manufactured locally according to the bottle specs.

Now all that is required is some big wig in the F&B industry with an conscience (oxymoronic?) to stumble across

this article while searching for porn, reading it completely and having an IQ large enough to comprehend the possibilities.

If you are reading this now O Grand Poo-bah of the F&B industry , If you can implement this Idea successfully you may get a peerage from the nice Queen . Sir Cola of Landfill how does that sound… Does this have your (cash register) bells ringing yet??

No?

Never mind it was worth a try anyway….

A start-up based in San Diego, California wants to put one of these in your local grocery store. It’s an called an ecoATM, and it allows you to recycle your old cell phones or MP3 Players for cash or store credit right on the spot. A prospective sale goes like so: first, the user provides a thumbprint and driver’s licence or state-issued ID (this is to crack down on fraud and theft), and then the machine uses artificial intelligence to identify and appraise the phone. Then, the ecoATM will do a usb scan of the device. Once the price is determined, if the user wants to recycle/sell their device, he or she has a chance to make a donation to charity.

Why anyone would seriously consider that wearing either the meat ensemble or the nipple outfit would make them look stylish is beyond me.

http://popland.mtvla.com/uploads/files/chismometros-big-603.jpg

Fashion can be freaky at times. when Lady Gaga wore that meat dress, composed of 15lb of raw beef, last year, the action sparked furious debate, especially as, only days before, she had irked animal rights activists when the 24 year old was featured on Japanese Vogue, in a meat bikini. The dress was part of an outfit, including a meat hat and purse, designed by L.A. -based Franc Fernandez, Argentinian designer.

http://popland.mtvla.com/uploads/files/chismometros-big-603.jpg

Latest outrageous fashion faux-pas is an incredible a dress, created out of 3,000 cow and yak nipples which has caused even more outraged cries to be voiced. The provocative piece, which was all made from cattle-hide patches acquired from tanneries, went on display at London Fashion Week, British designer Rachel Freire the creator.

Now set to appear on catwalks in Paris, Freire, dresser to several big names including Courtney Love, is making waves with Nippleocalypse, her spring/summer 2012 collection and her most controversial to date. The 32 year old from Liverpool has attracted the ire of MPs and animal rights campaigners, her weird fashion pieces including an intricate, layers of protruding nipples bra.

http://www.ecouterre.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/yak-nipple-dress-rachel-freire-2.jpg

Miss Freire, who fails utterly to understand the hype, is thrilled to be revealing her designs and out to defend her creativity, saying that her creations really make people aware of the animals involved, and is really recycling, because she creates fashion using scrap-heap bound materials.

She started her own label in 2009, having earned a Design and Performance degree at Central Saint Martins, despite no previous fashion industry experience, yet her unique collections have made a big impact on an eager audience, though animal rights organisations see things somewhat less kindly. I personally think the thing looks dreadful, but then I know not a thing about fashion, and care even less. Why anyone would seriously consider that wearing either the meat ensemble or the nipple outfit would make them look stylish is beyond me, but then I am a Philistine.

When discussing the rubbish of course, we should bear in mind the current state of the Earth.

The most widely discussed is the problem of global warming. global warning because our earth is now unstable, below 0 degree weather, floods everywhere. Garbage is the main cause of flooding, see sajaSungai-made trash stream by some people who are not responsible jawab.sebetulnya with our trash in its place we are already contributing to our own beloved Earth so there is an international company planning to set up bins aims to attract people not to return the waste to reduce volume of waste sembarangandan on earth every day increased.

1.Ovetto Bin

The Italian architect Gianluca Soldi, involved in environmental activism, the design of a container of trash attracted $255 that works, as well as the Ovetto Bin Ovetto the trash can also recycle waste easier and more organized, which offers three divisions for different types of recycling. Each component has a door for the Elimination of the stock market and close to reduce waste and different colors to put the trash in its interior.

2.Armstrong Bin

The garbage is intended to minimize the entry of human waste per day, destroying the trash tersebut.di wait if all human beings on this earth with the garbage can reduce waste from waste up to 30%. Let us hope that the two containers it could reduce the volume of waste in our land
