The earth is becoming exhausted with the pollution man is making. Changing the way we use energy is important in reducing pollution which could harm the mother earth.

With all the energy expenditures these days from large commercial and private consumers, the mother earth is overheating. Scientists from a number of countries are trying to discover ways to arrest such problem hoping against hope to save the earth before it becomes unliveable. Addressing such problem should not be the responsibility of scientists alone but for everybody to contribute. This could be achieved by changing our lifestyle.

Believe it or not, you can remarkably reduce global warming by simply changing how you live your everyday life. This is actually supported by Ellettra Wiedemann, a Lancome model who vowed to save the earth. She took a step in conserving energy by taking shorter showers and turning off the lights and computer when not in used. Simple actions but it could contribute much in saving energy. Further, Ellettra also shared in an interview how she suggested carbon offsetting program to Lancome. “I realized I could help make a greater change. I was travelling often for shoots and was concerned about the emissions from the plane, so I asked Lancome to start carbon-offsetting program”, she said.

However, it is sad to see people living their life extravagantly where you observe people taking their bath for an hour or more just to enjoy the hot shower. There are individuals letting their lights to be lighted overnight even if they are asleep. If only everybody will do the same like what Ellettra Wiedemann practices, we could go with the idea of Michael Jackson that the earth would be a better place to live.

Using bicycle instead of a car to a distant supermarket also is another way of reducing pollution. Bicycle is considered as the cleanest form of transportation. It does not need gasoline only human energy. Fewer cars on the street mean less gasoline emission which pollutes the air. Besides cycling is healthier way of saving the mother earth.

Walking to a nearby office or places you want to go not only save you money but builds your muscles while conserving gasoline. Is it not amazing to use your muscles for a walk? You might even meet friends along the way.

Most often we complain of dirty surroundings whenever we see garbage scattered all around. But are we doing our job regarding proper disposal? Practicing proper trash disposal we learned from our family and from school should be put to action. Small or big trashes should reach the bin and not on the street.

Living on earth without harming it begins with changing our lifestyle. Simple acts maybe but it could do great contribution to save the mother earth,

In Australia people started eating Kangaroos and camels.

Saving the planet by eating kangaroos and wild camels may seem like pie in the sky, but the offbeat menu comes with a scientific stamp of approval in Australia.

The aim in both cases is to reduce damage to the environment, but the reasoning behind the push to put the animals on the menu is sharply different.

In the case of kangaroos, environmentalists say the national animal should become a dietary staple in place of cattle and sheep as part of the fight against global warming.

The farm animals make a major contribution to Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions simply by belching and farting, while kangaroos emit negligible amounts of dangerous methane gas.
