Why we are so focused on pleasure and self-gratification focused on a particular day.

What is going on in America today? More people are unemployed than ever before. A lot of people are struggling to have a roof over their families heads and food on the table.
We are focused on getting a much as we can for as little as possible. That’s why so many other countries hate us.
Our focus is on the wrong thing. Most people in other countries stand patiently in line for food, water and medicine. We don’t want to wait for anything, especially $15 video games.
It is not our fault manufacturers etc. hype everything to intense levels until we are crazed and can’t think, just react, like rioters. Think of Black Friday as a country wide organized riot. With all the planning and multimedia hype the week before, 3 days before, Thanksgiving day, if you sit back and think for a moment you can see a pattern forming. Why? With all the technology that our world containers we can’t figure how to get people to spend money safely and responsibly.
Like Toys’R'US, let in a small amount of people at a time and have a time limit. Organization We have a plenty of time for buying “stuff.”
We can stand outside for hours, camp in line for days, but we won’t spend any time working on our marriages or families or anything important. But we can always find time to shop. Priorities. Why can’t we use our skills and intelligence to do things like human beings not programed animals. This is why our world is in the state that it is.We don’t want to share we only want as much as we can get for ourselves and we will do anything to achieve this goal. Lie, cheat, steal trample on top of people, literally. We don’t mind helping you to the hospital after we hurt you, after we get what we want of course.

The following is an advertisement that I received from someone in Russia. I translated the message to (broken) English and deleted and added a word here and there to make it a little more understandable and acceptable. Some sentences are puzzling but I thought I would leave them as I received them. I was surprised to receive such a message, but it does beg the questions: Has the world become so technological that women and men will no longer need each other some day? Are we becoming so perverted that anything goes?

Image via Wikipedia

In Russia, already in full selling “are” sex machines. The portal (deleted) a wide range of sex machines: in the range of 1 to 36 thousand rubles ($31.59 to $1,137.35).
Sexologists already sounding the alarm: What will happen to men of Russia? Do we need men to women will be in six months or a year? After all, they can not compare with the sex machines which can carry up to 200 strong frictions in a minute. The women embraced the opposite of this variety in sex shops are very positive and acquire advanced sex robots. For example, sex-machine Caesar – can be used by a woman in a huge range of romantic products. In general, the advantage of sex machines of course is obvious: sex machines do not ask to eat, do not drink beer and do not scatter dirty socks on the corners of the apartment! Sex Machines running from the mains Russian women bring only joy and immense satisfaction. Make yourself the most wonderful gift of all existing sybian.ru. We apologize if this letter does not interest you.
Best regards,
e-shop sex-machines
sybian.ru

This Russian message is sexual in nature, but not pornographic. The thought that men and women will no longer need each other some day, at least sexually, is troubling, but we are experiencing a decadent and cultural change in society. Sex shops (Adult stores) have sprung up all over the world. There are literally thousands of these stores in the United States. Only men use to patronize these stores, but more and more women are now visiting these stores and purchasing sexual products. It is a sign of the times. Unfortunately, society is becoming very corrupt. Women wanted equally; the fact that so many can enter these stores and not feel shame or embarrassment are indications that they truly have equally but are becoming just as dirty as the many men who frequent these kinds of stores.

A few years ago a state, I believe Alabama, tried to pass a law making the selling of perverted sexual gratification products illegal. I do not remember all that the bill incorporated. However, the women in that state went into mass hysteria and protested like never before and forced the bill to be cancelled. This was truly shocking to me since I always believed women were more pure than men. I could not believe they would fight so adamantly for such a perverted cause.

The Russian message above speaks of sexual robots. Asian countries, such as Japan are working on robots that can look and feel lifelike. Do you realize that these inhuman objects may perform sexually better than a real person? But, can these things really bring happiness and joy besides sexual gratification to those who would use them?

We are truly in a sexual revolution. Women kissing each other, especially in public, use to be taboo. In fact, they use to be burned to the stake for such behavior. Men never showed any kind of sexual affection towards each other. It was not “manly.” Lesbians and gay men use to be considered a separate and perverted group of people. Nowadays, more and more women are going ga ga over each other and men are publicly admitting to, and pushing such perversion. I am sorry if this bothers someone, but I do not believe such behavior whether caused genetically or learned is appropriate. I know I will get some vicious comments, but shoot away if that will give you some sort of satisfaction, but it will not change anything.

I blame most of this on the decadent and liberal media, laws that prevent us from controlling our children, lack of training and guidance in the home and lack of any kind of spiritual training and thinking, such as not going to church and so on. . (Oh, by the way, I am not a religious fanatic, I am not catholic, which is okay, and I am not a far right extremist. I am an educated person who was taught values and is not easily fooled or convinced of anything without facts.)

Society is lulled into believing they have to accept perverted behavior. Everyone is so afraid of being outside what they believe is the norm, which in this case, the norm is believed to be to accept homosexuality and sexual perversion, so they are afraid to speak against it and instead, support it as if they truly accept it. People today are afraid to stand up for there values, instead they compromise them and go with the flow. It would be wise for anyone to read the Bible story of Sadum and Gamorra. The people had become so perverted that God destroyed them.

Anyone over forty or fifty will remember when sex was truly a wonderful act only shared with someone we were in love with. It was meaningful and bonding for those who were in love. Today, sex is public and treated as a filthy commodity. People believe they should have sex immediately when meeting, as if that is all a relationship is about. Isn’t that the theme in most movies? I remember when girls had dignity and guys had to work at getting to first base; it took a lot of time and the girl had to believe the relationship was lasting. I understand now that young girls almost demand it from guys immediately.

I believe we are on a path of self-love (narcissism), shame and loneliness. No wonder there are so many lonely people. Sexual products, no matter how well they seem human, are not human. No matter how much individuals try to shut out the opposite sex, it can not be done completely. Sexuality is much greater than physical gratification. We as humans are wired to share our souls, compassion, warmth and feeling of being wanted and loved with and by the opposite sex. No machine or product will ever be able to provide these needs.

Terrorism is a major cause of fear, anxiety, and destruction all over the world, in countries like India, Pakistan, USA, UK, France, China, and Spain. The current approaches are failing. Is there another solution to terrorism?

Terrorism is a major cause of fear, anxiety and destruction all over the world, in countries like India, Pakistan, USA, UK, France, China or Spain.

Can anyone ever get used to terrorism? No, terrorism is always a traumatic event for the people involved.

Image by Brave New Films via Flickr

A survey, funded by the National Center for Food Protection and Defense, conducted over the Internet by TNS-NFO 2005 among 4,260 U.S. residents over the age of sixteen found that 98 percent of U.S. residents believed there will be another terrorist attack during their lifetime.

What is Terrorism?

There is no universally valid common definition of terrorism. Terrorism is commonly understood as a systematic use of terror for ideological goals, especially targeted at civilians (non-combatants). If anyone uses terror for making profits or snatching other people’s possessions, it’s robbery, piracy etc and not terrorism.
The United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373, in response to 9/11 attacks on the USA unanimously imposed on all members that all members shall not finance, support terrorists or provide safe havens for them. Most countries, especially those that have suffered from terrorism, have some form of legislation specifically authorizing anti-terrorism measures.

Criticism of Terrorism Definitions

There is much debate about the definition of terrorism and what is considered lawful response. Historically, the main argument against terrorism is the unlawful use of violence. Depending on the point of view, unlawful violence has been used for centuries by many nation states to further their own commercial, political ends and further their hegemony ambitions as well as destabilize or delegitimize political opponents. Thus, nation states themselves can be seen as becoming guilty of practising the same crimes they accuse the terrorists of doing.

Further, the response to terrorist attacks seldom addresses issues that produced terrorism in the first place. Significantly, the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373 does not require nation state members to investigate the reasons, which produce these horrendous acts of violence.
Most of the known terrorists today are networks. Some are home grown inside nation states, with or without support from powerful groups inside that nation state or with external support even from other nation states. Many are loose international movements functioning as autonomous cells with sophisticated support and functional systems.

Terrorists Can Become Good Guys

There are many notable instances of people called terrorists by others abandoning violence and actually becoming peacemakers.

In 1947, the New York Times describe Irgun, the militant Zionist group fighting against the British occupation, as a terrorist organisation after the King David Hotel bombing in 1946, which killed 91 people. Eventually, their leader Menachem Begin became the prime minister of Israel and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978.
Nelson Mandela, another Nobel Prize winner respected all over the world today, could enter the UN only in July 2008 after being taken off the US list of terrorists by President Bush.
Samuel Adams, one of the leaders of the 1773 Boston Tea Party, a terrorist from the British government perspective, is respected as the “Father of the American Revolution”.

Wikipedia Approach to Terrorism

Terrorism machinators have now adopted a Wikipedia approach, where planners rely on users (media, terrorism analysis industry and media users) for maintaining and contributing to their aims of spreading terror.

The masterminds behind the recent November 26,2008 Mumbai attacks have understood how important their terrible actions are for a terrorism-hungry media, a terrorism analysis industry, local politicians and power groups eager to capitalise on the event.

Celebrity Terrorism?

By showing their faces on CCTV cameras, the terrorists assumed that their images would be broadcast all over the world, and they were. The media response has been a guarantee of instant fame (notoriety) for the perpetrators.

A few days ago the news of the British terror suspect Rashid Rauf being killed in a US drone attack in North Waziristan was spread in global media along with his picture and biographic profile on major media sources.

Do these incidents reveal a new culture of instant attention and fame? Is it the same psychology driving people to take part in programmes like reality shows, Idols and Big Brother? Are we experiencing celebrity terrorism? The psychology behind their recruitment is fame, which they would never get otherwise.

The machinators have understood this emptiness in the inner lives of the young men and fill them with hatred and commands for doing terrible violence.

A Different Solution to Terrorism

The standard response to terrorism has been to fortify borders. Well, can we have a fortress USA, a fortress UK, China or India in this contemporary world of globalization, transparency, and interdependence?
What about understanding that “terrorists” have a grievance as a starting point, which gets misinterpreted and hijacked by vested interests! This requires treating everyone as a human being with needs and then examining those needs impartially by detaching needs from the means they have wrongly used to satisfy those needs.
What about seriously directing efforts and a part of these hundreds of billions spent on anti-terrorism wars etc., at creating social, educational, and entrepreneurial structures that would give create jobs for young men in areas where terrorism originates?
Would making roads, building houses, schools, hospitals, and energy production facilities for the local people drive most of the young angry men away from the clutches of the evil machinators who design terrorism?
Surely, it would boost the struggling economies of the developed world by giving jobs to their workers too. There is always going to be, in every country, people who are hate mongers and choose evil ways. But by choosing not to give in to hate and responding with hate is humanity’s only hope for peace.
