Mujianto killed his victims by rat poison and then took their property. He confessed he killed 15 men by rat poison. But, so far, police just found 4 dead victims and 6 survived victims. Three dead victims were discovered on January ago, and the fourth was found early February. The serial murders were opened after 2 survived victims reported this case to police.

Police captured Mujianto in house of Mr. J in Sonopatik village, Nganjuk. Mr. J is Mujianto’s employer and also his gay partner.

Investigation result, so far, shows that motive of killing is jealousy.  Suspect knew that Mr. J, his gay partner, had turned to other men. So he decided to erase his competitors. Mujianto then opened cellular of Mr. J secretly. He found the victim’s names and their phone numbers. Then he contacted his victims separately and told that Mr. J wanted to meet somewhere else.  Then the suspect met his victims one by one. The suspect offered them drinks or foods filled with rat poison. The suspect then left his victims while they dying.

From investigation, police also found other fact. The suspect confessed that he has planned to kill much more men. The men who are assumed as his competitors. Police will do psychological study for the suspect.

Police is still continuing to investigate the case. The number of victims probable increased. Police is also searching the other victims. That’s why police suggest to everyone that losing their family member to report it.

It has been strongly authenticated that there is a marked constituent of sexual brutality often associated with the childhood of a serial killer.  Their deceitful conduct as adults is often times related to events from their past whether it be sexual, physical, emotional, or a combination of all three.  These forms of abuse ultimately mark where fantasy begins to surpass reality and some really alarming activities begin to surface.  Many become captivated with arson and/or there is the development of the cruel torture of animals to name a few.  It is worthy to note as well that there are many people who endure tragic childhoods, but yet do not become murderers.  Something in the mind of the serial killer gets triggered to an on position that cannot be stopped. 

As adults after traits of psychopathy and sociopathy have already set in, the serial killer will take on such acts as becoming engrossed with inner organs of the body, exclusively the sexual parts with an instance of this nature being necrophilia.  As psychopaths, they will lack any compassion or sympathy for their victims.  As sociopaths, their perception of what is considered correct and unethical has been corrupted. 

Most of the famous serial killers in America have been white males approximately around the age of thirty.  Ted Bundy is a notorious psychopath that comes to mind.  He lured women into his car and would do unspeakable acts with the bodies following their demise.  Sexual predator, John Wayne Gacy, and his psychopathic tendencies became the center of attention amongst researchers after he was imprisoned for raping and killing several young males. 

There has been some progression and conjecture as to why a select group of individuals will become serial killers.  Some theorists have considered that they are biologically born as killers with anomalous activity being experienced in the brain.  The mind of the serial killer continues to be studied and more superior gains of knowledge are expected to evolve in the future.

The Zodiac: astrological, a set of codes, watch brand

or a serial killer?

The Zodiac a serial killer who obtained this killer identity from a watch and astrological aspects, but also was able to elude police for many years by sending letters in code that was actually part of a zodiac code. None of the aspects were his original ideas, but the killer was able to cleverly weave those aspects into his own particular identity. Zodiac became the most famous serial killer throughout history due to his ability to elude police. With no solid evidence against the Zodiac police were not able to make any official arrests. The Zodiac continued to covering his tracks through each murder by making sure there were no finger prints, solid foot prints, as well as keeping his identity hidden by his elaborate disguise.

The Zodiac was able to kill and stay on the run from the mid 1960s till he decided to quit sending letters in 1974.  He earned a reputation that seemed to fascinate everyone. The San Francisco Police Department received letters from the Zodiac which did not match any hand writing samples obtained from over “2500 suspects”. With that many suspects the SFPD had so many people to investigate it was difficult for them to keep up with each one. Not only was that an issue but the SFPD had so many people claiming that they were the Zodiac that it added to the confusion of eliminating suspects. The SFPD also feared that some would become ‘copy cat killers’ simply because of the Zodiac’s ability to elude police. With so many suspects and people claiming they were the Zodiac, he decided he needed to prove his was legit by including in letters and cards portions of clothing that was torn from his victims that contained blood.

The Zodiac wrote many letters to police stating the murders that he had committed and then further, listing further his intentions. In the Zodiac’s first letter he had killed at least five people that the police knew of, “but claimed responsibility for as many as 17 murders” (9). However, the Zodiac was an obviously knowledgeable man because he would write introducing himself at the beginning of his letters “This is the Zodiac speaking” which suggested that he wanted and craved attention. While he always introduced himself some portions of his letters in code that would have to be deciphered. The code itself was taken from a Zodiac code. Through the coded messages, Zodiac sent scares upon San Francisco, one of the letters stated that he would “shoot the tires off of a school bus and pick the kiddies off one by one as they came bouncing off the bus.” With letters such as this and being from one page to six pages long, often times they contained words misspelled that was only common with the Zodiac. This was one way to tell which ones true Zodiac letters and which were fake letters were sent to police. The Zodiac also enjoyed sending letters mostly to The Chronicle a local newspaper in order to obtain his fame through the headlines. With this letters he portrayed a strong hatred toward police that were often was portrayed toward individual staff of the newspaper. As things progressed he sent threats to these individual people. This portrayed the evident game that the Zodiac enjoyed playing with individuals as well as how he viewed killing. The killings were viewed as a large game. In Graysmith’s novel the author goes into depth on how the Zodiac discussed and possibly used “The Most Dangerous Game” as a motive to killing. This was a movie that came out around the time that the Zodiac began his killings and discussed how the most dangerous game for a hunter was to hunt humans not animals. The Zodiac even included in his letters that he was having fun and that “killing is fun.”

With the mysterious Zodiac killer investigators believe him to be a hater of women, but also someone who worked or dealt closely with children. Also it was determined from partial foot prints that the Zodiac was a member of the military due to the type of boots that were worn and the only access to them were to the military. With a part of the investigation done by a staff member at The Chronicle was the code books from the zodiac code.  After finding out that the Zodiac was military personnel Graysmith checked into the libraries at military bases. He discovered that “all of the Zodiac code books had been stole from numerous libraries” (245); therefore, there was no record what so ever left behind to find who had checked these books out.

After discovering a military connection, the Zodiac sent a letter informing police that aviation glue had been placed on his fingertips to prevent identification based upon fingerprints; therefore, providing another link to the military. However a surviving male victim also described the Zodiacs costume and the intricate sewing work done of the executioner style hood. The one suspect that was determined to be the best match to the Zodiac was an avid skin diver, had military connections, was a pilot and was also known to sew his own sails for his boats. To further lead investigators to Author Leigh Allen was his connection to children through local schools where he worked as a janitor. Allen had all the connections and had also worked through several schools within several counties in California. Each time there were reports of him inappropriately touching students therefore he did not maintain a school related job for long periods of time.

With Allen having so many connections related to numerous counties in which the Zodiac killed, a broken job relationship at school systems police began interviewing him.  By this time in the investigation, the Zodiac had become such a well known killer throughout California that the county police stations were competing against each other to catch the Zodiac; therefore, they would not cooperate with other investigators in order to solve the case. They began withholding information from each other and therefore delaying and preventing the actual capture of the Zodiac killer. Graysmith however, was able to realize that Allen while he had been arrested and in rehabilitation was the time frames in which the Zodiac seemed to go into hibernation and there were no letters, nor killings during that time period, which further implicated that he was the Zodiac killer.

The Zodiac killed for many years and continued to elude police, something that has blown the minds of people and investigators for decades.  From the time the Zodiac began killing and sending messages police believed that they could quickly solve the murder, but he continued to stay one step ahead. However, according to Robert Graysmith he saw into the eyes of the killer when “he viewed Author Leigh Allen working at a small store” near the site where he killed a cab driver.

Since, the sting of killings by the Zodiac killer; several televised and print media about the Zodiac became well known throughout America. As of today there has been at least one killer who followed in the exact copy cat routine of the Zodiac. The Zodiac ‘copy cat killer’ (Heriberto “Eddie” Seda) murdered from 1990 to 1994 in New York; however, he is currently serving out 236 year term in prison. Seda was not as meticulous as the original Zodiac. The location of the Zodiac is unknown and it is uncertain as to if he is still alive or not; however I question, if the true Zodiac killed in 2010 would he be able to elude police like in the 1960s and 70s?

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said agents were “reasonably confident” that Ima Jean Sanders was killed 37 years ago by Paul John Knowles.

Ima Jean was living with her mother and her 4-year-old sister in Warner Robins, Ga., when she disappeared in August 1974. Her sister remembers getting upset when Ima Jean told her to stay at home while she hopped in a van with some friends. She never saw her family again.

“That’s the last anyone ever heard of her,” her mother Betty Wisecup told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “She up and disappeared and we had never heard anything about it.”

About two years later, authorities found skeletal remains in a wooded area in Peach County in the central part of the state, but investigators at the time could only tell that they belonged to a young white female. Her family, haunted by her disappearance, was left wondering about what happened.

“It’s been almost 38 years and I’m thinking maybe she has amnesia, maybe she got into a car wreck and no one ever found her,” said Ima Jean’s sister, Sharron Chessher “We just never knew. Now we do.”

The break in the case came in January, after a Texas investigator working on another cold case realized that data from Ima Jean’s killing wasn’t entered into a database designed to match unidentified remains with missing persons cases. Wisecup, who lives in Beaumont, Texas, submitted DNA, and investigators said this week it matched the skeletal remains.

“If you talk about a proverbial cold case, this would have been it,” said special agent Gary Rothwell. “It was the family that never forgot.”

Hard-to-find documents were also used to help link Knowles to the killing. Amid the crime spree, Knowles mailed audio confessions of his crimes to a Florida attorney, but the recordings were never released publicly and the transcripts were ruined a few years ago by flooding at a Macon courthouse.

Investigators tracked down a 1975 letter buried in the state archives that was written by a former U.S. attorney who summarized Knowles’ confessions.

The letter said Knowles picked up a young female hitchhiker named “Alma” in August 1974 and brought her to a wooded area outside Macon, near where the remains were found. He raped her, strangled her and then left her body, the letter said. He returned to the area about two weeks later to bury the jawbone.

Knowles was captured in November 1974 near McDonough, Ga., after he kidnapped a Florida state trooper and another man. He killed both of them. Knowles was shot to death a month later trying to escape custody.

Warner Robins police Capt. Chris Rooks, who helped investigate the killing, said he hopes it brings the family a “sense of closure they would have never had.”

Ima Jean’s relatives were still struggling with the news. Chessher, for one, said learning what happened to her sister was “like having the air sucked out of the room.”

The family is trying to raise money to bring Ima Jean’s remains to Texas, where Ima Jean’s mother will place them in an urn in her living room and later bury them in a family plot. Chessher said only then will the family be able to start to heal.

“To know the details of what she saw, looking through her eyes, it doesn’t get any easier,” Chessher said. “Even when we get her home and properly bury her, knowing what that man did will never leave our hearts and souls. I know that we have to forgive, but it’s going to take a long time.”

In a terrifying twist the student almost murders a hooker and that’s when it finally hits him that he’s let Gacy into his head. Often people are influenced by the people and things they associate with. Needless to say having a serial killer in your life is not the most intelligent or positive choice.

The student seemed to learn from the experience and wrote a book on the subject (off of which the movie is based.)

I have always liked autobiographical and memoir pieces, but Dear Mr. Gacy is a glimpse into the abyss through the eyes of a young man who was unwittingly nearly pulled off into it. If you are a criminal psyche major then the movie should be required viewing in your class, just so you can learn what NOT to do  

We think of possession as some evil, supernatural influence. This is why, in the modern world, it is ridiculed as non-existent, or simply the raving of the mad. But can a rational answer be given which can teach us a lot about ourselves?
I think it can. A good starting point is multiple personality. Here, the mind seems to fragment into a number of personalities, each taking it in turn to occupy the person. There are hundreds of documented cases.

They can be fascinating.

Many people seem to live their life quite naturally with such personality invasions, and each can seem a separate entity. But I’ve noticed, in many cases, a specific element within each personality.
They seem to reflect a specific emotion, or aspect, of the host. They can be specifically angry, sad, joyful, sexual, and many other traits. Indeed, it is as if it is not the mind that has split, but the specific emotions of the host.

This could have importance beyond the unexplained.
Consider, for instance, the serial killer. In many cases they seem to have separate personalities themselves. If married, a ‘normal’ personality can live a normal life, the wife even unaware of the truth.

The actual killer can be seen as anger in the raw. Once the murder has occurred, we often find a deep seated conscience which makes the killer carry out stupid errors, which eventually lead to capture, as if he wanted to be caught.

Could the serial killer be possessed?
Yet, not possessed by some supernatural influence, but a series of specific emotional fragments of his inner mind. It could be that there is a real ‘devil’ within.

Similarly, some people can appear absolute angels. Think of the monk, dedicating his life to service in God, totally subsuming all desires and emotions. Maybe it is not as difficult as it appears. The ‘monk’ personality simply sheds emotional baggage.

It can be seen in the evangelical movement.
In this case, they are filled with absolute joy, and nothing can touch them emotionally. Have they been touched by the ‘angelic’? Or have they simply discarded all other emotions?

We think of the mind as a coordinated whole. But the above suggests this need not be the case. Rather, the mind is a cauldron of conflicting emotions and traits, a particular fragment often rising within the ‘normal’ person.
Consider, for instance, sudden anger, where all other emotions disappear as you descend into a rage. Think, also, of the moments of pure, ecstatic joy, where nothing negative can touch you.
Are these moments of mild possession, when an emotional fragment escapes the confines of normality? If so, then the full blown possession is simply a matter of degrees. We all have the capacity to become devil or saint.

In the 42 years since the murders, there have been many theories about the identity of the killer but no-one has ever been charged.  The main suspect was positively identified by a survivor of one of the attacks but the suspect died in 1992 and never went to trial. Others have come forward claiming that they know the killer or that they knew the killer but these claims lacked credibility according to police.

A more recent advance in 2002 identified a partial DNA profile left at the scene of one of the murders but in another twist to a long unresolved case, the DNA didn’t match that of the main suspect.

During his reign of terror, the Zodiac Killer wrote to a local newspaper offering clues and challenging them to find out his identity, one letter even taunted the police saying how close they had come to catching him.  Some of the letters were sent in cipher code, there are said to have been four of these letters and the code was only cracked on one of them.

Recently, a research team developed some new software which can be used to decipher code from ancient documents.  The researchers say that this software could possibly be used to decipher the letters from the Zodiac Killer and all these years on from the killings, there is a possibility it could be used to identify the killer and solve a four decade long mystery.

In 1983, a 7 year old girl Jeanine Nicarico was brutally murdered by psychopath and serial killer Brian Dugan. She was raped before being gruesomely killed by Dugan. He had already raped several women and even killed two other people in the persons of another 7 year old and a 27 year old nurse.

For all these years, Dugan had not accepted the crime, but in 2009 he finally pleaded guilty to murdering Jeanine. He was due to be executed but the death sentence was somehow withdrawn by the Illinois authorities. But what struck scientists was his lack of remorse for his crimes. It was this lack of empathy that made scientists to believe that Dugan probably had a brain disorder driving him to behave in this criminal manner.

 Dr. Kiehl carried out a scan of his brain just to find out if his actions of psychopathy had anything to do with the conditions of his brain. It was confirmed after a scan that  Brian had a brain structure function with very low levels of density in the para-limbic system and it is this state that brings about psychopathy.

The test results revealed that;

•        He scored high on such traits  as lack of empathy, lack of guilt and/or  remorse
•        He was found to be very impulsive-his actions were not guided by plans or thoughts before the acts.
•    He had a history of trouble with the law at an early age 
•         His reactions to distressing images was found to non existent. This means as a psychopath, Brian simply did not care whether someone was dying or laughing and this was largely because of the malfunction of his para-limbic system.
•       He had no concept of harm he causes other people

 Implications of the findings on the legal system.

According to the lead scientist Dr Kiehl, who carried out a test on Dugan, there is great need for the legal  system to change to accommodate the criminal behavior of psychopaths whose criminal conducts are driven largely by the objective  by their brains.

While the findings of this study is not intended to exempt psychopaths from prosecution, it should infuse understanding into the justice systems around the world so that psychopaths are not sentenced summarily to death for their crimes but at least given different types of sentencing.  

Psychopaths like Brian Dugan  have diseased brains that need treatment and any such treatment should begin not just after a crime has been committed, but there is need for health workers to be able to identify psychopaths early enough to afford them early treatment. For the case Brian, from a very early age, the world around him was able to discern that he was not a normal boy because he is known to have injured his brother and sister, set wild fires, hurt animals before embarking serious crimes of rape and His Mission is To Eliminate All Blacks and Jews

He dreamed of seeing a world free of all other races apart from the pure White race. His name is Joseph Paul Franklin a brutal American serial killer and racist born in 1950 in Alabama.

Franklin has been convicted of numerous murders – over 20 murders spanning 1977 to 1980 across the states of Missouri, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Utah.

Franklin is presently being held on death row at the Potosi Correctional Center, Missouri.

Before Franklin started his career in murder, he began by committing petty crimes which gradually aggravated to major crimes like the bombing of a synagogue and the attacks against interracial couples.  

In 1977, Franklin graduated into killing. His targets were usually interracial couples. He once said during an interview that God wanted him to start a race war.

Franklin usually did not contact or touch his victims before killing them, but rather killed or assassinated them from a distance of over 100 feet as he was a proficient marksman. According to police reports, he was highly organized and meticulous in his unspeakable crimes. He planned in advance his murders and his exit. He revealed during an interview that he often listened to police scanners during his escapes in order to avoid capture.

In 1980, Franklin’s murder spree ended when he was captured by police in Florida. He has been convicted and sentenced to death by lethal injection.

Franklin shocked the world during one of his murder trials by saying that his only regret in life was that the killing of Jews was not legal.

What a shame to have a demented creature like this amongst the human race!
