Shinto, is one the earliest and largest indigenous faith of the Japanese people, as old as Japan itself. Its name comes from the Chinese words, “shin tao.” In Japanese, Shinto means “the way of the Gods”. It is folkways and spiritual feeling toward the awesomeness, the purity, the beauty of unspoiled nature. Alongside Buddhism, Shinto is considered as one of the major religion of Japan. Shinto is also known as kami-no-michi.
