But, “Our brains are better at picking up subtle warning signs than we previously thought,” said Joshua Brown, Ph. D., an associate in psychology in Arts and Sciences. New research from Washington University might have identified a brain region that acts as an early warning system. One that monitors and helps adjust our actions to avoid danger. Brown said, the brain region might learn to recognize when you might make a mistake, even before the decision has to be made. It might learn to warn you in advance when behavior might lead to a mistake.

Regardless of why people give credence to a sixth sense, generally scientists have found no credible proof of it’s existence. Until that proof shows itself, as far as we know we must base our decisions on the five senses that are known to exist. It’s only in recent years that scientists have begun to unravel the mysteries of how the five senses work. Many aspects have yet to be understood. So who knows, as we learn more, it might be discovered that we do actually have a sixth sense. Stranger things continue to happen.

Rather I should say..That it comes to all those human beings who have faced terrible disasters…Those who pray to GODESS for that every new morning sunshine…it comes primarily to ship wrecks…may be to orphans and destitute as well ….but definitely to soldiers and revolutionists/terrorists for they are soldiers too…Life probably at that point of time seems so short that your heart reads it all and there are no parameters left for your head to decide.

Even when you have a girlfriend some possessive yearnings will foretell you of your future….

Part II— Now I will come down to examples.

26 April 2004…I was deactivating a UN minefield…As the morning dawned…there was a pin drop silence…probably  the sound of toothbrush crushing and jabbing woke my partner up…Under the flickering light of the tent we both looked at each other and literally we could not speak! We knew something was amiss but we could not speak about it. Though we managed our bit of luck everyday..And celebrated it passionately..but….

Birds didn’t call..Sun was up and we were perspiring …but leaves didn’t move…I could have called off my duties…but the fear that my cowardice would be branded  refrained me from doing so…(Look I listened to my head than my heart who was saying so much about  which I  said so much )

…….The Accident happened…I survived..Thanks to the holy utterances that I had invoked before   moving out…

Part III…I started reading all the signs..under the mellow realization post disaster

·    First…somebody had been telling me for the last four to five days…that there had been mine accidents …mine accidents…mine accidents ..How silly ..it was coming to me..

·    The mourning of the nature continued…no birds chirped or no leaves moved

·    The guy who died had cut his fingers..moments before entering the minefield at the temple which was a sign of bad luck coming

·    That that minefield faced an open graveyard of derelict criminals..never was realized by me ..that the DEAD called too

·    Two deaths had already occurred while laying and third was imminent after a period of three years….

·    The earlier history was also of all accidents happening on a date which summed to a figure of 8 and on a Monday…

Part IV…I messed it up even on my love life..I wish I had paid heed to the noises in the backdrop of my life!!

Part V…On 20 October 2006 there was a sharp..intelligent and very human outlaw who died when his outfit pronounced the death sentence on him …and I couldn’t do a SHIT about it

Life gave me a wonderful exposure and understanding of DESTINY through him…In death also  I do trust him…Believe Me..Destiny  is in your hands..provided you can read through the nature well

Conclusion

The aim of my write up was to make you realize the extent of the word PREMONITION ..the truths surrounding it and the subtle queer ways of listening to it…

……………and that’s a SOLDIERS’ word.

As odd as it sounds, the ability of cats, dogs, or even rabbits to predict the death of a person may not be that far fetched.  For years it has long been thought that animals possess some sort of ESP or sixth sense.  It seems like after every major catastrophic natural disaster, such as an earthquake or tsunami, news stories pop up about the odd behavior of wild animals and pets just before the event occurred.  This kind of makes sense; animals are obviously very in tune with slight changes in the environment; but what about an animal’s ability to predict death?  Do death predicting cats and dogs really exist?  Can an animal predict death and a person’s demise days and even weeks before it actually occurs?

Before you scoff at these questions and call them far fetched think about this for a second.  In July of 2007, the New England Journal of edicine featured an article about a death predicting cat.  This is the New England Journal of Medicine, not the National Enquirer. 

Oscar the Death Predicting Cat

The death predicting cat in question is named Oscar.  Oscar is an adopted cat taken in by the staff and patients of Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, R.I.  Oscar’s original intended purpose was to act as companion to the folks at the nursing home.  Things, however, have changed since these early days. While he still acts a companion to the elderly folks at the Steere nursing home, his presence has taken on a whole new meaning. 

Oscar seems to have a sixth sense about him.  At the time of article by the New England Journal of Home Medicine, Oscar was charged with predicting the death of more than 25 patients at the nursing home.  This is a figure that has almost tripled since the publication of the article. 

Oscar, the death predicting cat, begins visiting patients, almost like he is standing vigil, sometimes weeks before the patient passes on.  What makes Oscar’s story even more extraordinary is that he often predicts death before the doctors or nurses.  In fact, the nurses at the Steere House nursing home say they will often alert a patient’s family about the possibility of death, when they see that Oscar has taken up vigil. 

Death Predicting Animals

Oscar is not alone with his death predicting sixth sense.  In fact the news media is littered with stories about animals that seem to be able to predict death or illness. 

There is a news worth story out of Canton, OH about a doom sensing dog.  This dog, known as scamp, is charged with having an ability very similar to Oscar’s.  Scamp just like Oscar lives at a nursing home, called the Pines, in Canton, OH.  Also just like Oscar, Scamp is very aware of death.  He has a sixth sense and knows when death is going to appear.  The staff members of the Pines nursing home in Canton claim that Scamp begins to pace around and bark when he senses death.  They believe that this death predicting dog is trying to alert them that something is about to happen. 

Of course, these are not the only two death predicting animals to make news.  Others stories make claim about a bird who circles an area when disaster is about to strike.  Also, there people who claim that they have witnessed their pet rabbits and hamsters act oddly right before a family member is about to die.

How Animals Sense Death

No one is certain how these animals sense death or predict death.  Some theories believe that these animals can smell a particular odor.  Perhaps dying people give off an order that is undetectable to humans.  Others believe that this dog or cat can predict death because they sense sickness.  They notice a change in behavior or attitude, even slight and minor changes. 

Or maybe these animals can sense something else.  Maybe they see the grim reaper lurking about, or some other type of phenomenon.  Whatever the case may be, animals that can sense death, like Oscar the death predicting cat and Scampers the death predicting dog should not be taken lightly.  Their innate ability to sense disaster is something that should be studied, because who knows, they just might hold the key to understanding more about the afterlife. 

The question of sixth sense or extrasensory perception has been taken to a logical level by two scientists Ben and Honorton. They used a hypothetical process termed as psi to understand the existence of sixth sense. Ben and Honorton defined psi as the process of transfer of energy or information in a peculiar way, which cannot be explained by the current understanding of biological and physical mechanisms.
Later many psychologists took the case of psi. They suggested about the existence of many forms of psi. One form of psi is precognition, the ability to foretell future events. The second form is clairvoyance, the ability to perceive objects that do not come into contact with any of our sensory organs. Psycho kinesis is the third form of psi; it is the ability to change something in the physical world only through thought i.e. without coming in contact with the physical world.
However, the existence of psi has been doubted by scientific community. The first and most important reason for the skepticism is the failure of psi to repeat itself. That is, certain procedure of psi gives perfect result in a research but yield very much different result in another research in the same condition. It has been observed that, if we strictly control the research on psi the evidence of its existence will be depleted.
Second, if there is anything like psi, then certainly we will have to restructure the understanding of physical world, because it does not fit in any understandable physical mechanism.
Third, the existence of psi or sixth sense is being forwarded by people who are already convinced about its existence. Subsequently, their observations got influenced by their own beliefs.
Thus, the existence of sixth sense is still an unresolved question for science. Nature loves symmetry and we cannot say that few people are endowed with sixth sense and others are not.

Mankind has proved itself to be the master of our planet in terms of hunting and changing our environment to suit us.  We can send machines to the deepest depths of the sea, we can send men and women into space and have them return safely.  Man can break down the Genome of  D.N.A. and see how our species is built. Mankind can  cure enormous plagues that can kill millions of people.

Some of us look down on other species such as dogs and cats, or birds and fishes.  We have nearly wiped out some of the largest creatures to inhabit the earth, such as the Whale and the Elephant, the Bison and the Hippopotamus.  If we don’t directly kill the creatures around us, we destroy their environment, by building cities or selling off rain forests.

I am not a naturalist or animal rights campaigner, however I do believe there is a lot mankind can learn from other species that live around us daily.  Many if not all animals have a sixth sense that we do not.  For instance dogs hearing is several times more efficient than our hearing.  The Canine can hear sound in a spectrum way beyond our comprehension.  A dogs sense of smell is many times greater than ours.

We use dogs to sniff out explosives or illegal drugs at airports.  Bats for instance use their own form of Radar waves to plot the environment around them, many of the Bat species are blind, they have no need for eyes.  Dolphins use sonar to plot the sea around them and detect food. Dolphins communicate with very high frequency noises or clicks.  They have their own language that we cant comprehend.

Mankind however deems itself better or in fact superior to all Earth’s creatures. We judge a species on the fact we can hunt them or kill them!  The sense that I am referring to is a sixth sense, a sense that animals have that we do not.  A sense that cant be analysed or defined. 

In 2004 there was a huge Tsunami that devastated parts of Indonesia and Sri Lanka.  At Yala in Sri Lanka there is a massive animal reserve, which contains Elephants and Monkeys along with Buffalo and big cats such as Leopards.  The animal reserve had over 130 different species logged and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Days before the Tsunami wave struck the coast animal reserve employees noted extremely strange behaviour from the animals, Monkeys and Leopards sort higher ground and were seen to be migrating in large numbers away from the coast. Elephants did the same.  The reserve guards had no idea why such a mass exodus was taking place.  The early warning systems on the sea bed had not noted any seismic activity or shifting of Teutonic plates.

The tsunami wave hit the coast with devastating power, unfortunately many tourists were killed.  In the aftermath clean up operation hardly any animal carcasses were found amongst the devastation?  The reason for this was simple the animals knew the tsunami was coming!  Many species knew the wave was coming way before our technology had picked up the earliest warning.

You maybe sceptical and put this down to luck or animals following each other.  Scientists are split over this subject of a sixth sense in animals.  My opinion is yes animals do have another type of sense to us.  It is only arrogance that would assume because mankind does not have this early warning sense that it does not exist!

I had a distant friend come to visit me over Christmas, I have known him for many years and we are good friends.  My partner and me have two cats a male and female, the cats came in from outside and took one look at my friend and their hackles went up and the cats would not be in the same room with him. 

Our cats have seen many different people and have never behaved in this way.  My friend wasn’t upset and just remarked   “I don’t like cats and they don’t like me its just the way it is”  My cats immediately picked up on this feeling of mutual dislike and stayed well away from my friend.  Is this coincidence as well? I for one don’t think so.

Perhaps animals logical train of thought is not so developed as humans?  Perhaps their sixth sense takes over in a possible dangerous situation and tells the creature to save itself?

I have two Weather Loaches in my fish tank, they look very much like a snake but are in fact a fish.  The weather Loach was the first reported fish to be kept in a glass tank, the name Weather Loach explains exactly what they do, when bad weather is approaching the Loach will swim violently across the tank trying to seek shelter.

They are more accurate at storm prediction than the M.E.T. Office!

The Weather Loaches were used by farmers in Vietnam to alert them of a storm when they were working in their Paddy fields.  Many of you may be dog owners, and I’m sure you cant deny your dog will sometimes just take a dislike to someone?

Mankind has five senses which are Sight, Smell, Hearing and Touch and of course Taste.  Why must we continue to demean other animals because they don’t operate on the same levels as us?

If the rumours from various scientific journals are to be believed, mankind is going to explore the galaxy in the hope of finding new life?  Surely if we are serious about doing this we must put away our blinkers and not assume a species is inferior to us because it is different?  An alien species may have six senses or seven senses or even more!

The Neglected Power

Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, Churchill’s hesitation to enter the waiting car, Archimedes’ inspiration in his bathtub and Ray Kroc’s acquisition of McDonald’s are all examples of the power of intuition.

Intuitive experience has been described in many ways: inspiration, sixth sense, hunches, insight, to name just a few. Many of the greatest world philosophers, artists, writers, musicians, and scientists such as Einstein owed their accomplishments to intuition.

Yet, since intuition is beyond scientific explanation, it is both the most powerful and the most neglected of all human mental faculties. All along, intuition has been part of the instruction of most mystical schools and organizations.

Their emphasis is on the development of the higher self and on the awakening of our creative potentials so that we can be all we can be. Unfortunately, people are busy looking for empirical evidence of intuition. The end result of this search is disappointment.

Yes, disappointment, unless the search is genuine and not out of skepticism. According to Perspective on the ABC News TV program, such genuine researches are now currently in progress at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and at the University of Nevada in the United States.

Intuitive ability is a potential, but some of us make a conscious effort to either block, repress or deny its existence and consequent manifestation.

Intuitive Dreaming

Dr. Frederick Banting, the Canadian physician, discovered while in a dream the basis of insulin.

Elias Howe, the inventor of the sewing machine, worked for years at its design, yet one thing always remained before he could achieve his goal. One thing!

One night he dreamt he had been captured by savages who were pointing spears at him, and he noticed that at the tip of each spear was a hole. Howe woke from his dream with the solution: put the hole at the tip of the needle. That key unlocked the invention of the sewing machine.

Dr. James Watson had been working hard trying to decipher the molecular structure of DNA for many years, but all to no avail.

One night, while in a dream, he saw two snakes coiling around each other. Instantly, he woke up exclaiming, “I wonder if that’s it… I wonder if DNA is a double helix twining around itself” This led him to understand the genetic coding for which he was later awarded a Nobel Prize.

An Exceptional Dream Experience

Intuition is real, not a fantasy. I believe in intuition. Why? Because it exists, and proofs of its existence abound. I even wrote one of my books, Fibonacci Numbers For Research Mathematicians & AI Applications, inspired by a dream experience.

Before I continue, let me offer some explanations. A set of numbers like 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (geometric series), increases uniformly in twos. Therefore, it exhibits a pattern. A set of numbers like the one above is also called a sequence or series. A sequence can take other forms other than the example given above. Having offered this explanation, let’s go back to my dream experience.

On the night of March 30, 1993, I had a dream where I saw a partial floral representation of the Fibonacci sequence. For those of us not familiar with Fibonacci sequence, it runs like this:1,1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, x, y, x + y…

This sequence was discovered by an Italian mathematician named Fibonacci, and each of the numbers in it is called a Fibonacci number. One outstanding property of this sequence is that the next term in it is a sum of the two preceding terms, e.g. 1 + 1 = 2, 1 + 2 = 3, 2 + 3 = 5, 3 + 5 = 8.

The following morning I took up a piece of paper and a pen. Initially I thought it would have been an article of about 20 pages. I was wrong. As days passed by, the more I played with those numbers, the more I discovered properties of the sequence. The properties are as exciting as they are interesting. So I ended up with about 150 pages of material out of sheer inspiration.

Anyway, discussing these and other properties is not the objective of this article. What was exciting to me in this dream experience was the transformation of consciousness. During and after the dream experience, I was extremely calm, peaceful, and serene.

I am short of words to describe my actual experience, but have never, in my forty-something years of existence on this planet, attained that level of consciousness. It was amazing!

Learning to Listen to Our Inner Voice

One of our weaknesses as human beings is our continued tendency to believe that reality can only be perceived through the five mundane senses of sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. To some people, it is a matter of seeing it before they believe it. They want to smell it, to touch it, to taste it, to hear it.

This kind of thinking makes me uncomfortable. These people believe that any knowledge not gained through a conventional classroom should not only be questioned, but out rightly rejected. This kind of thinking is not only dangerous, it is inimical to human progress and development.

We can experience intuition anywhere — at home, in our workplace, on the street, while driving or shopping.

Powerful thoughts and ideas that have contributed to human progress and civilization haven’t always come to people while they were in a conscious state. Often, they’ve come while they were in altered states of consciousness, such as dreams or out of body experiences.

Such thoughts and ideas, in more or less logical forms, need to be captured and written down, otherwise they could disappear. And even if they were not entirely lost, they might lose their original flavor.

Therefore, in order to maintain the present level of civilization, and encourage further human progress, we have to keep our minds open to these kind of experiences. We all have an inner voice. We just have to improve our listening skills.

The sixth sense is ESP,extra-sensory-perception. of course, for most people the three words mean nothing to you. Well, ESP is an extra sense that doesnt come under any of the usual five senses. For example, you know how in books and movies they always say “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” That does not come under any of the five senses, and is more of and instinct. so.. what is the sixth sense? in my opinion, its instinct, or sense. How do animals know when theres a flood or an earthquake? their instinct, or sixth sense. Animals probably have more of it because human’s brains are more advanced. meaning their practical side says its not going to happen. People have premonitions alot, butmost forget them or just shrug it off. especially in dreams. Thats probably where deja vu comes from. Also, when someones staring at you, or stalking you, you just get a feeling to turn around? And also when you look around to see, you immediatly know who it is, before you even see them.And when you do, you immediately drawn to their eyes. Most people think its nothing, but its not.

Its the sixth sense.

I selected the Fairy cards years ago.  You might say they attracted me.  I collect fairies and love butterfly’s.  My cards front is a beautiful blue butterfly suspened in the white clouds and clear blue skys.  The twinkle from the sky reminds us that the stars are always present however in the light we can not see them but they are still there.

Even thou you can not see your inner self, it is present.  Our inner self is your sixth sense.  It speaks to you daily do you listen?  Sometimes it helps to use a tool.  This is where the oracle cards come into play.  We are all energy and surrounded by energy.  Our inner energy flows through and outside of us.  This force assists the cards.  When you use the fairy cards for healing you sit quietly and shuffle the deck.  Ask the fairies for guidance.  Intuition will tell you when to stop shuffling now see what they offer.

Use the card(s) as a theme or daily ritual.  Let them speak to you.  Eventually the cards will bring images and thoughts to your mind when they are chosen.  Your fairies will personalize the experience the more you use them.

Enjoy your inner self and the use of oracle cards.  They will help heal any negative areas in your life.

As said earlier, this quality is embedded in our minds, but we need to develop it. Here are some ways to develop intuition:

Meditate

This is the best way to develop your intuition. Your mind should be left totally blank while meditating. You may think of some religious symbol, but I suggest you to leave your mind completely blank. Taking your time out and listening to your inner knowledge is the key to develop your sixth sense.

Sense Your Body’s Energy

Our bodies have energy fields that envelop each of us. These are called as Auras. Auras are loops that surround us in various colors. Through intuition we can experience these loops which can tell a lot about such persons.

Visualize

The way to visualize is to make your mind wander. Visualization is just opposite of meditation. In meditation we have to control and force our mind to think blank. In visualization we should not restrict our minds to what we should see or think. We just have to observe our emotions and speak out loud whatever images cross our mind.

Purify Your Life From Unwanted Emotions

A clean consciousness is the first step to develop your intuition. Clean your life, assess it and free it from any unwanted emotions.

Positivity

Being positive helps us to downplay excessive emotions such as fear, anxiety, and remorse. This also helps us in developing our intuition.

Alertness

You may receive signals from your intuition, though the signals may not be so clear. So be alert and prepared to receive them. Being sensitive to your surroundings and asking questions to your intuition helps a lot. At the right time, you will get the right answer.

Your intuition is not infallible. You just have to believe in it and automatically it will get stronger and better. Just keep on testing its accuracy and just watch out the power of your inner-self!
