<p>There was a man named Johnny and he had a sleeping disorder, more specificaly, he started wondering around while being asleep and finally returning to bed, but not remembering what he had done. He had a wife and son. It was just another friday night, everybody were watching TV and relaxing from the week that had now been passed. At about 12 oclock, they all went to sleep after watching a horror movie. But then in around 2 oclock in the morning when everybody were sleeping, Johnny woke up, while actually sleeping. So he went to the kitchen, took the biggest knife he could find and went back to the bedroom. He approached the bed and looked at her wife for a minute and then he stabbed her in the kidneys and two times in the heart, she died instantly. Then he went to his sons room. He grabbed the baseball bat that was lying on the cupboard and smacked his son three times in the face and once in the neck and he also died instantly. Finally he just went back to sleep, besides his dead wife. Strange thing is he also said &#8220;Good night&#8221; to his wife. Anyway, in the next morning he woke up and saw what he had done. He instantly called police and told them what had happened. The police investigated the evidence and found very many of his fingerprints on the murder weapons. He was convicted for the murder of his family. The only thing that he asked from the judge was that is it possible for him to visit his home one last time and the judge agreed. So him and 2 officers went to his house and the second he opened the door, he ran to the kitchen, took the second biggest knife there and cut his throat.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wherever you can sleep is a place to sleep, a sofa, a reclining chair, the floor, a park bench, under a tree, even in a tree. Those are places to sleep.</p>
<p>A bed is more than just a place to sleep, it&#8217;s a refuge against the world, a place to hide, a place to get away, a place where nothing can harm you.</p>
<p>In today&#8217;s society, with ten thousand other vices, who needs a bed?</p>

<p>2. Bedtime routine <br />Develop  a bedtime routine so your body knows it&#8217;s time to go to sleep. By  winding down your physical activities and following a set routine prior  to bed, your body will start to associate some of these actions with  going to sleep. Start with a cup of hot milk. Milk contains a protein  called tryptophan, which helps to promote sleep. This can be substituted  with chamomile tea, which is known to calm the nerves. Follow this with  a hot bath or shower, the heat will help to lower your internal body  temperature, again telling your body to go to sleep. </p>
<p>3. Your bedroom is for sleeping only <br />Make  your bedroom your sleep-room. Turn the lights off as soon as you get  into bed. Don&#8217;t read, eat or watch television in your bedroom, or do any  activity that is not sleep related. Make sure the room is dark and  cozy; include extra pillows on the bed and even some teddy bears. Make  your bedroom into a sleep sanctuary, a room that you will instantly feel  secure and comfortable in, and best of all, a room that you will crave  to sleep in. </p>
<p>4. Calm down and clear your mind <br />Clear your  mind of the day&#8217;s activities or things that are due to be done tomorrow.  Write a &#8216;to do&#8217; list for the following day. Organize uniforms, lunches,  etc &#8230; the night before. Make arrangements earlier than usual so you  don&#8217;t worry.</p>
<p>5. Give time back to yourself <br />Instead of trying to cram as much as  you can into the day then find you haven&#8217;t left much time to sleep, try  to find short cuts or solutions to give a little time back to yourself.  Make a double casserole and freeze half for another night. Spot clean  the house as you go. Have more barbecues, using paper plates (less  washing-up). Offer to pay the kids, or the neighbour&#8217;s kids, to do some  extra chores. </p>
<p>6. A balanced diet helps to make a balanced mind <br />If  you&#8217;re lacking in essential vitamins and minerals your body cannot  operate at its best. Throw out the junk food and fizzy drinks, and make a  new start to good physical and mental health. Add in some regular  exercise and watch your body respond with some improved sleep. </p>
<p>7. Don&#8217;t lie in bed if you can&#8217;t sleep <br />If  you don&#8217;t feel sleepy enough to drift off, your mind will probably  anguish over the fact that you can&#8217;t get to sleep. This will only make  it harder to get to sleep each time you experience this. Get out of bed  and go into a different room. Do something to distract yourself until  you do start to feel sleepy and then try to sleep again later. </p>
<p>8. Medications may interfere with your sleep <br />It  has been shown that some of the medications below may cause sleep  problems. Check with your doctor if you are experiencing insomnia and  are also taking any of these medications &#8211; amphetamines (diet pills),  antidepressants, beta blockers (heart and blood pressure), cimetidine  (ulcers), clonidine (blood pressure), cortisone, diuretics (fluid),  levodopa (parkinsons), methyldopa (blood pressure) and ventolin  (asthma). </p>
<p>9. Above all: de-stress <br />Sharp says that stress is  the worst cause of insomnia. Use some of the techniques above and try to  remove as much stress out of your life as possible, and finally put  your insomnia to rest.</p>

<p><img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/readers/2011/04/11/sleepwalker_1.jpg" alt="" />&nbsp;And it most definitely will not kill them! At the worst, waking a somnambulist (yes, that&rsquo;s a fancy word for &lsquo;sleepwalker&rsquo;) will cause a temporary bout of anxiety or confusion due to the sleeper not knowing where they are or what is happening. However, it is advisable to wake sleepwalkers in a gentle manner because sometimes this disorientation can cause them to react violently for a short time until they come to their senses. In fact, rousing a mobile sleeper could actually save them from harm, even death! </p>
<p>Most somnambulists simply perform boring tasks such as walking around the house or removing their clothing. But some engage in complicated activities such as attempting to cook or having sex! In a 2007 issue of Scientific American, Carlos Schenk of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center describes a pair of extremely unusual cases of somnambulism. In the first, a teenage girl named Sandy tore her bedroom door off its hinges in her sleep, despite the fact that she was unable to perform such as feat later when she was awake! The latter account involves a young man who DROVE his car 10 miles to his parents&rsquo; house while sleepwalking. This individual woke up while frantically pounding on their front door! Sleepwalking events such as these are rare, to be sure, but it is typically a good idea to awaken a sleepwalker, if only to save them from tripping or running into something. </p>

		<description><![CDATA[I want to write about the night duty,  the night shifts of our work schedule.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I think many people like to sleep in the night but if you are working in a MNC which have a work culture where people have to work day and night in two shifts then it may happen that you will have to work in the night shift also.</p>
<p>Introduction:</p>
<p>Night shifts are very boring in the starting two three days because it is not easy to break the routine at once. You can not sleep and also you can not work because of sleep. It all becomes normal after 3-4 days when you will learn to sleep in the day and work in the night. Many things change after this routine because you will not see the Sun, you can see the moon and then you sleep and again after waking up you will see the moon.</p>
<p>It is very much different then the normal working. Somehow it feels good after some days and one will start enjoying the night shift if the work is good and your health is good.</p>
<p>If you are a family person then there might be some problems but if you live alone and you are unmarried then it is good that you experience the work of the night shifts. It is kind of boring to work in the offices in the night shifts but if you work in some open spaces, like the construction works sites or someone might like working in the bars, DJs etc. then it is more enjoyable.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In the end what really matters is this that you must like the work and your workplace. Sometimes the colleagues also matters a lot and it is more enjoyable if you like your colleagues.</p>
<p>Many times it happens that some people sleep in the night shifts and that is wrong practice for the work and for themselfs also. If someone is in the night shift then he/she should take rest in the day itself and then should work &nbsp;in the duty times.</p>
<p>It is good if you give good output to the company or the organization for whom you are working.</p>
<p>Some things one must remember while or before the duty times in the night shift:</p>
<p>1. To take the full rest in the day times.&nbsp;</p>
<p>2. To drink enough of water and to avoid the tea and coffee.</p>
<p>3. Work sincerely.</p>
