			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Color has a profound affect on how people react and behave; the color blue is a very cool, relaxing color. It does not matter if the shade of blue is very light or very dark, it sends the same message to ones brain. Blue is used in hospitals, and schools because it presents a relaxing atmosphere.&nbsp; Blue helps to make individuals feel save and secure, thus making them more comfortable; it is an inviting color.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>When your outdoors, and the air is crisp, and the sky is blue; sit back relax, and take a moment to realize just how relaxing it all feels. There are times the sky is very light blue and then there are those times when the blue is so deep; that is draws you in. It kind of feels like the blue is surrounding you, relaxing each muscle, each ache, helping to relax your inner soul.</p>

<p>The blue of the ocean, in the Caribbean, and Mexico, when you stand in the water you can see your feet, so clear, such a light blue. This blue is a very soothing blue, especially if you are on vacation. On vacation the goal is to relax and un-wind, wrapping your self up in the blueness of the sea, is very healing for your mental state of mind. If you go to the top floor of you hotel, and look down, it&rsquo;s a blue green, that bright against the white sand of the beach. The further you look out, the deeper the blue becomes, until you can&rsquo;t see where the sky starts and the water begins.</p>
<p>It is a this point the two blues come together, the blue of the sky and the blue of the water, still a very relaxing sight.</p>
<p>It is because of the connection between the ocean and sky that it is used for spiritual healings, since it is one with nature, with the energy that surrounds us.</p>
<p>Royal blue, a very empowering blue that almost speaks to us. It insists on making you relax, it demands that you wrap yourself into the blueness of the color, and lets the mind slip away. The brilliant energy of this color has been used for centuries, for relaxation, soothing discomfort and pain. It is believed by focusing on different shades of blue helps to physical, emotional and mentally heal us.</p>
<p>No matter what shade of blue you choose, you will always find that it has a relaxing quality about it, for others it is an inspirational color. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just as there are many ways to be stressed, there are many ways to do away with it. Have you ever noticed it was raining outside, put on a jacket, and sat on your porch or balcony just to let it sink in? Some people like to rest by streams, or forests- wherever you&rsquo;re within earshot of nature&rsquo;s gentle voice. Prose aside, the sounds of nature can not only take your mind off stressful thoughts, they have a number of other applications involving reading, reading, or writing articles.</p>
<p>Rain is something I find very effective, and there are several videos on YouTube which give you the pitter-patter of rain free of charge. You can find plenty of similar tracks downloadable on the web. Speaking from experience, if you&rsquo;re the kind of person who procrastinates and gets sidetracked a lot when there&rsquo;s work to be done, the sound of rain may be just what you need to wind down and focus on a task like homework. It also works wonders if you have trouble getting some shut-eye. In our fast-paced lifestyle, we often find ourselves bogged down with this and that. Memorization and organization are far easier if you shift down the gear and focus on one thing at a time. A vicious cycle can occur if you linger on the expanse of issues that are stressing you out. You&rsquo;re mind can obsess over and even exaggerate them. But relaxation tapes drown out nagging thoughts and allow you to &ldquo;hear yourself think&rdquo; if you get my point.</p>
<p>Studies indicate that listening to music will increase your endurance while exercising, but we&rsquo;ve also discovered that music has a genuinely positive effect on your health. It comes as no surprise that listening to natural sounds can have a similar effect when it comes to relaxation. But how are we tranquilized by the rolling rumble of beaches or the breezes and birdcalls of the Amazon? It may simply be because the sounds distract you and create the impression of solitude where you can be alone with your thoughts. Bear in mind that earphones and even headsets can cause long-term damage to the eardrums, so if you&rsquo;re in the proper environment, it&rsquo;s usually best to find a CD of natural sounds and listen to it on speakers. Take my advice- if you find your head spinning from a long day or long to-do list, an hour of rainstorm ambience could be just what you need.</p>
