John DeLorean was born on the 6th of January 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a maverick in the auto industry and founded the DeLorean Motor Company, a company that produced just the one model, the DMC-12. It was a sports car with gull-wing doors that opened upwards towards the sky, the company went bankrupt in the early 1980’s.
