An interesting perspective on failures role in your life.

Failure can make you or break you. Some people are motivated by their failures, others are discouraged. When you fail you may look at it like a lesson learned- an opportunity to do better. The difference between the two is mind set and personality. It all depends on your interpretations and how you take your experiences.

The first kind of reaction to failure is when you fail at something and it feels like it is hopeless, so you stop trying. This happens usually because it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there and try things that scare you. Failing after building up enough bravery to take the chance for so long can be devastating, it makes you feel as though your best wasn’t good enough and causes you to question what the point is. Another reason many may feel discouraged after failure is due to the people who surround you and what they say. Some people take criticism differently than others, all it takes is for one person to tell someone who’s already hard on themselves to say they’re not good and they’ll quit.

Words, especially from people you respect, can mean so much more than many realize. I know of people who have tried out for a sport or a part in a school play and didn’t make it and automatically assumed that they won’t ever be good at it. It could take as much as one person to tell you that you can’t sing to make someone never sing again. Some of my friends who went through that overcame it with time and honest encouragement, others could never let go of their insecurities. Anybody can overcome their failure when they put it in perspective and realize they only truly failed when they stopped trying and let negative feelings take the place of reason.

The other way people react to failure is when they use it for motivation for success. People who look at failure like this are usually more competitive and have a lot of perseverance. Failure doesn’t exist to them only lessons and higher standards do. Their general philosophy is that if they didn’t fail in the past they wouldn’t have succeeded quite as triumphantly. I know from personal experience that when people doubt me and say I can’t do something that I want to do I take it as a challenge and won’t give up until I finally meet my goal. For example, I’ve always wanted to go to Princeton University and many people have told me and still tell me I’ll never make it but it only made me want it more, as a result of that I try my best in school and get grades I wouldn’t be able to if I didn’t have that goal to reach.

Altogether I believe it’s up to you to choose whether the failures are worth it and to keep striving for success or to change your focus and just live with the failure. Despite your choice to keep trying or give up, if you can learn from your mistakes and make a better person out of yourself through them then no mistake, mess up, failure or anything of the kind could compare to the reward that you ended out with. So yes, it is easier for some to move on than others but, it’s most definitely possible for everyone to persevere. Ultimately however you interpret your failures is up to you and you may use your experiences however you please.

A thing I just noticed.

Here in the Philippines, group messages are in every inbox of a texter(the one who texts most of the time). But what is really the purpose of GM’s? I have seen many people getting mad when they recieved a GM especially when their names aren’t on it. So, does it mean that, you can only receive a GM if you have something to do or get with it? Hmm…

I confess, I am really one of those who make GM and send it in all the names on my phonebook, that was before when I am really fond of texting. Nowadays, I am lazy putting load on my phone so less GM’s I can say.

Well, let us first analyze where did GM’s came from?

I really did not search about its history but I believe that it originated from a couple of texters who started in texting even they did not know each other and this group became wider and wider then they started to call it as a “clan.” As said in the first sentence, couple of texters who did not know each other, and has a huge number, so in order to communicate to all of them in just one send, they use this GM.

How to make GM’s?

It is so simple. All you got to do is to type all the things you wanted to say to a person, or to greet some person or to just make “papansin” to all your contacts~ Then, you can send it to them by groups or individually(can’t get what I am talking about?). Maybe you’re curious about sending it individually when it is called a Group Message, so maybe you’ll think that you should send it grouply(if there’s such a word). Group is when you’re phone has this ”distribution list” wherein you can group at least 20(I guess) contacts in one and when you click that group, it is automatically send to those contact . And Individually if you don’t have the feature mentioned in above statement, you will ssend it individually to your contacts.

But nowadays, GM does not only exist with those who are in clans. Everyone is free to do GM’s now. And because of that, the effects of GM are everywhere.

There are those, like I said earlier, get mad when they receive a GM that has no connection with them. Me, I felt that too. But I came to realize that GM can be a way to destress yourself. How did I say so? As I have said, I often put load on my phone, so less load, less textmates. And when I dont have load, GM’s made me think that those people who snd it cared for me. Except for those GM’s like “I want ice cream” “I am at glorrieta” some nonsense words.

The GM that I like are those which says, “take care alwayys people” or “have a nice day ahead” or in other words, important or anything that makes sense. Being thought of someone maybe caring for you or worried about you made me feel destressed and comfortable. GM’s with quotes, jokes or sayings made me realize things. So, I guess it’s okay to forward messages like that. But again, be sure that the messages has sense or worthy to be forwarded to others:D

But, not because I wrote this, you’re all going to make GM’s. Do use it on important matters or on neccessary things only, okay? So no one will get angry and who knows, it might put a smile on their face.

Here are some suggestions that you can try to help your child develop his personality.

                                                  YOU AND YOUR CHILD

Children are the most valuable things for a family. Each vigilant family is thoughtful for their life. Their minds are like a sheet of blank paper on which any thing can be written easily. So they need proper guidance and care to become a good citizen. A family is their first school and mom is the first teacher. A father may play an important role in his children’s life in shaping their career. Really, their teaching begins from the womb of the mother. Now science has proved this fact. However, it was known to the ancient Indians. In relation to this fact a glorious example found in the famous epic, Mahabharat. It was his parents contribution to him when Abhimanyu learnt the secrets of Chakravyuh {a kind battle] in the mother’s womb. Here are some suggestions that you can try to help your child develop his personality.

1- When your child has some problem, listen to him with cool and calm mind and then find out a proper solution. Don’t get angry and irritated at his mistakes. Always keep in mind that not even the children but the elders also learn through mistakes.

2- Always present before your child good things. Tell them the stories of great persons. You can also mention the facts of successful persons near about you. A great thinker writes “if you want your child to appreciate and create beautiful things, always surround him with beautiful things.

3-Never make backbites of anyone before the children. Children are very sentimental to their surroundings. Their innocent nature is not able to locate difference in behavior of a person. It can end the belief of your child upon you..

4-Children are emotionally attached to their things like books, pencils, copies and of course their toys. Their little needs seem them to be of much importance. So praise their good feelings and avail their needs if there is no harm in doing so. If you find it difficult to meet their requirements, instead of rebuking them sit with them and explain your problem to them and try to cut down on less important needs.

5- Don’t always ask them about their study. It can cause them irritation. Their study must happen naturally not by any force. It is up to you how you mould them to the situation.

6-Find some times daily to play with them. If not possible per day, once a week is must. It boosts energy in the children and keeps them physically fit.

7-You can send your child to the near by shops to make some small purchase. It develops in a child the sense of selfc-onfidence.This is the main thing without which no great work can be done.

8-Let your child do the things by himself. Don’t interfere in his work unnecessarily. You must keep a watch on him only to avoid any harm to the child.

Looking hurriedly these things may seem petty to someone but truly these are the things that can help you shaping the career of your child.

Have you ever tried riding a public utility vehicle and when the engine started, you can't breathe because of the bad smoke?

We don’t want to ruin what God gave us. But what’s happening on our surroundings? Air Pollution!

Air! Oh dear life, I need air. The most vital source that we, as humans, need to sustain life is air. We can’t live without air. Even if we’re a billionaire who can buy anything in this world, one thing we cannot buy is AIR.

Air pollutions come from factories that burn coals and oil. The smoke that comes from factories can mix with air that would acid rain. Air Pollution can irritate people’s lungs, kill plants and endangers animals.

The climate is changing because too much carbon dioxide is trapped from the Earth’s atmosphere preventing it to escape. Carbon dioxide comes from burned materials such as rubber, coals, and oil that are commonly produced by cars, and factories. That is why we are experiencing too much heat during summer and an unpredictable storm anytime the clouds got full.

We need to stop, if not stop, lessen air pollution, it’s all we can do to save our dear planet and our dear lives.

Recycle. Plant trees. Engineers should find ways to build a car that has a cleaner exhaust gases and let’s just use alternative fuel that comes from our nature like wind or from solar energy.

Every problem has a solution.

Needless to say, the world of flowers is indeed captivating. They are nature's paintings and are symbols of beauty, love, and inspiration.

Flowers are among nature’s greatest gifts to mankind. They represent beauty. They contribute to ecological balance. They can also sweeten our relationships and make our stay on Mother Earth worthwhile.

Appreciation for flowers should not be labeled as merely a feminine thing. Although there are remarkable parallels between an adorable woman and an attractive flower, men should not shy away from being avid flower fans. In fact, the love for life, love, and nature is embodied by the famous MALE singer Louis Armstrong in the classic song that goes, ” I see trees of green, red roses too, I see them bloom for me and you…And I think to myself, what a wonderful world…”

As we already mentioned, flowers play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. The main function of a flower is to process the union of a male sperm and female ovum in order to produce seeds. These seeds are vital to the continuous process of reproducing plants, which are major sources of food for many species of living things on earth.

Flowers also play an important part in mankind’s social affairs. There are various types of flowers appropriate for each event or occassion. No wedding, formal celebration, or any other remarkable social gathering is ever complete without flowers — they are always used as symbols of beauty.

Flowers can also be used to convey different messages beyond words. Giving flowers to someone can be used as a gesture of love, respect, comfort, friendship, or gratefulness. The most important thing is that the giver should give sincerely, because the message or meaning is not in the flower itself; it resides in the heart of the one who gives it.

Knowing the importance of flowers, we must take conscious effort to preserve these wonderful gifts of nature. This environmental idea might sound irrelevant in a modern world that continuously seeks for technological advancement, but as human beings we have a responsibility to preserve the flowers and plants in our surroundings. We only have one nature, one Earth to live in. We may never be able to replace it once it’s gone.

Your surroundings greatly impact your well being.

When you are moving forward in your life, it is important to clear away all the excess in your life. This metaphorically helps to clear away the clutter in your mind as your surroundings are a reflection of you. The better your surroundings, the better you will feel.

So, if you have things in your home that you have been meaning to get rid of, don’t give it a second thought. There is a reason that you feel you need to get rid of certain things. Give them away to charities. There is a natural flow in life when it comes to money, energy, space, and good vibes. When you allow these events to “flow” naturally your life will be filled with greater things. When you block the natural “flow” you block growth and progress in your life.

Deepak Chopra believes that we must spend money to receive money, and in this same way, I believe this is true with everything else in your life. There is an important flow to life that must not be disrupted if you want to reach the highest levels of joy and happiness in your life.

So, start to clean up the piles of paper stacked on your desk. Throw away anything you do not use. Or recycle any materials you can. Take time to look through your closets. Is there any clothing that you know you have not worn in many years? Maybe a homeless person or a person with very little income would benefit from what is hanging in your closet not being used. Share your wealth with others. When you do this, more wealth will come into your life naturally. You attract more of what you give and what you stand for in this world. It is the “law of attraction”.

It is okay to also think ahead though. If you know you have some items that you will most likely use another day, you can keep those things. Some people worry that the minute they give something away they realize that they need it. So, you can take your time in deciding what you want to give away. But, do take the steps to clean up the clutter; create a healthy environment that will only foster your clarity of mind and help to propel you positively forward toward achieving all your dreams.
