I retired from the business of clairvoyant readings over ten years ago.  But I still get people contacting my office asking me for clairvoyant readings.  Or asking me to advise them of who they can trust to give them good clairvoyant readings.

So how can you tell good clairvoyant readings froms bad one?  You may think you can work it out but I doubt it. Usually amateurs judge clairvoyant readings by whether or not they like what they hear. So if you are told during clairvoyant readings you will find the man of your dreams or be rich or famous soon you will want to believe it and say the clairvoyant readings are good and if you are told that you will never win money or be truly happy you say the clairvoyant readings are wrong – even if they are right.

Other people make the mistake of saying that the clairvoyant readings are good if they can tell you about your past or know your personality!  Big mistake. Some clairvoyants do clairvoyant readings that are good at the past but bad at the future.  Or good at personalities but bad at predictions. So even if the clairvoyant readings get the past or the personality bit right that does not mean the predictions will be right.

One mistake a lot of clients make when they ask for clairvoyant readings is when they tell the clairvoyant what methods of clairvoyance they want them to use when doing their clairvoyant readings. I used to get clients insisting on having the Tarot cards when they knew nothing about it and it was the wrong method for the sort of clairvoyant readings they wanted.

Another mistake clients make is to go for a free reading and assume that if the person does the clairvoyant readings free then they must be good because they are not doing it for the money.  WRONG.  OK they are not doing it for the money, but they are doing it because they are lonely or bored or to make them feel important. None of that proves they are capable of good clairvoyant readings.  Anyone who does good clairvoyant readings free would be swamped with people going back to them for more and more readings and they would not have to look for new people.  If someone offers you free clairvoyant readings you should wonder how come they are not already fully booked.

Another mistake clients make is allowing a friend or a person they know to recommend someone to them. When their friend may recommend that person’s clairvoyant readings just because they are free or cheap or because they told them what they want to hear, not because they give good clairvoyant readings! If you just want a bit of fun then fair enough a free or cheap reading is fine, but then do not expect a  highly qualified person to be interested.   The qualified ones and famous ones do it seriously and do not see clairvoyant readings as entertainment.

The best way to choose a clairvoyant for clairvoyant readings is this. Go to someone who has been thoroughly tested by experts.  Choose one who has passed experts tests and who has many  years of experience.  Preferably one who has done clairvoyant readings for a lot of people and done it as a full-time job.  Do not take anyone seriously if they claim to be clairvoyant yet they work in a shop most of the time!  If they have done clairvoyant readings for the press and done clairvoyant readings for famous people then all the better.  Then you need to know that the clairvoyant is accessible, that means within travelling distance or working by email/phone to do their clairvoyant readings. You also need to be sure that they are affordable.  Not free or cheap, that would not be fair to the clairvoyant, but not too expensive. If the clairvoyant does readings as a full-time thing then expect them to be charging enough to live on.

Another thing to watch out for with clairvoyant readings is if the clairvoyant has a happy life themselves. They cannot give you advice on love affairs if they are stuck in a stale boring relationship or if they cannot get a partner.  They cannot give you helpful clairvoyant readings about business if they cannot get a business up and running and working themselves. They cannot give you helpful clairvoyant readings about anything they are a failure at.

I once spoke to a so called clairvoyant who was offering clairvoyant readings.  He was genuine and really wanted to  help people. But by day he worked as a plumber, otherwise he was stuck in a boring loveless sexless marriage.  He was not a con artist, he just liked the idea that he was able to do clairvoyant readings because otherwise his life was boring. It sounded grander to him to think of himself as doing clairvoyant readings rather than being a plain plumber.  And when he was sat at home with a boring wife he day dreamed about his exciting life as a clairvoyant who does clairvoyant readings.  For that few hours that he did it people would hang on his every word and he felt important while he did his clairvoyant readings.  What I found frightening was that he would give gullible people clairvoyant readings about how to set up a business and make a lot of money, or how to be happily married, when he was a failure at both.  In fact he should have sorted his own life out before he tried to do clairvoyant readings for others.

Another mistake clients make is to be fatalistic about their clairvoyant readings.

Some of the emotional issues that affect the relationship we call “soul” issues and sometimes we place them under the title of “soulmate connections” when we are speaking of a very strong sense of loving connection between two people. All of the social, emotional and psychological dynamics of relationships, including these ones that we call “soul” or “soulmate” connections are very complex and have to be understood of there is to be progress in the life of the individual or the relationship entity itself. The goal can be seen as or called “fulfillment”, but that is a term that has been used and abused many times over. We have to be rational when reading for our clients and not only see the outcome of the reading as an essential part of the whole reading experience, but also to use the conversation, the three way conversation between the client, the reading and the reader as being a way to gain insight as to how the relationship can go.

But what of the Tarot itself? Well, the history of the tarot is very diverse, and there are many religious theories of its origin, however the only thing that we can actually say about the tarot is that it is a pack of cards that was used to play a game called tarot, a game similar to modern day Bridge. It seems to be purely by synchronicity that the symbology of the tarot would fit in very nicely with the symbology of certain ancient occult orders and spiritual movements, and as such we have a rich history of interpretation of the suits of the minor arcana and the 22 major arcana cards.

Many people believe that it is the fall of the cards themselves that tells the future, or reads the energy field, but it is also the consultation with a person who has a deep knowledge of the meanings of the cards and how the interpretations of the symbology interacts with the questions of the enquirer that has the real power.

In these times a tarot reading is sold as an entertainment service and quite rightly too! But there is so much more to a reading than that. I personally regard a reading as an entertainment service with therapeutic benefit. But that is not all. During a recent fair, an enquirer came to my table and almost immediately I got visions of a massive industrial wool factory with many large looms making tonnes of cloth. I told the client what I was seeing and she replied that her mother was involved in the wool industry, her mother before her was a weaver and her mother before her was also a weaver. It would appear that at times there can be a strong correlation with the visions of the practicing psychic and the lives or family history of the client.
