How to Save Money through Proper Tax Planning- India 2012 Rules.

Proper tax planning is the basic duty of every person, which should be carried out religiously. Basically, there are three steps in the tax planning exercise. You need not consult an Income Tax Practitioner or a Chartered Accountant for this. In fact, you can do it yourself.

These three steps are:

1) Calculate your taxable income for the Financial Year (from April 1 to March 31) from all sources such as salary, pension, interest etc.

2) Calculate tax payable on Annual Taxable Income using a simple tax rate table, given on the next page.

3) After you have calculated the amount of your tax liability, you have two options to choose from:

a) Pay your tax (no tax planning is required)

b) Minimize your tax through Prudent Tax Planning

Most people should and do choose the latter option. For this, you have to compare the advantages of the various tax saving schemes and depending on your age, life stage, tax slab and personal preferences, decide on the right allocation of investments and plans which shall reduce your tax liability to zero or Minimum possible. You may consult your Financial Planner for this.

The following rates are applicable for calculating tax liability for the FY ending on March 31, 2013.

For a resident male individuals below 60 years of age (born after April 1, 1952) and HUFs

Consult the govt website for current details

Tax Free Incomes

The following incomes are completely exempt from income tax without any upper limit.

1) Interest on PPF/GPF/EPF.

2) Interest on GOI tax free bonds.

3) Dividends on Shares and Mutual Funds.

4) Any capital receipt from life insurance policies ie sums received either on death of the insured or on maturity of life insurance plans. However, in case of life insurance policies issued after March 31, 2004, exemption on maturity payment u/s 10(10D) is available only if the premium paid in any year does not exceed 20 % of the sum assured.

5) Interest on savings bank account in a post office.

6) Long term capital gain on sale of shares and equity mutual funds if the security transaction is paid/imposed on such transactions.

Dividend income

Dividend income from companies/ equity -oriented Mutual Funds is completely exempt in the hands of investors. Dividend is also tax-free in the hands of investors in case of debt- oriented Mutual Fund schemes.

Gift tax

Gift tax was abolished with effect from October 1, 1998. The gifts are no longer taxable in the hands of donor or donee. However, with effect from September 1, 2004, any gift received by an individual or HUF will be included in taxable income, provided the amount of gift exceeds Rs 50,000.

Opinion
Historical reference.

Deborah Says: (She’s talking about her Liberal Friends here)

Its so sad tho. Sometimes you just wonder. I know all of congress isnt much but I dont make fun of what they believe in and its a bummer when they do it. Saddens me.

My Reply:

When you understand Congress, there isn’t much left to know.
Then again, you’re living with the assumption that we’re American and so is our congress. People are people, we are all equal in the eyes of God. Back in the day there was a quotient devised by John Adams which stated we are a nation divided in 3rds. Those who remain loyal to the King, those who are opposed to him and those who don’t give a shit. This quotient remains today and as a matter of fact, has never changed.

You see, even in the days of settlements and colonization, the English understood that England fought many wars to accumulate what they had. Many in fact cheered and even fought bravely to help England acquire such treasures which also included land. America isn’t the only land England acquired and eventually lost, Look at India, British Kenya, British Columbia, South Africa; the list is extensive.

As England fought to gain all these properties, they created incredible debt which had to be replenished. This is where Central Bankers came in. It wasn’t until after the French/Indian War over the Ohio River Valley that England really took a financial bath. France decided the debt of holding Canada was far too high. After all, they were shipping grains and seed and cattle and wines and rums and all types of materials to Canada and Canada was shipping many things back like crops of food, grains, molasses, and Maple Syrup (whichwas huge). But France paid all the shipping on this stuff.

Then of course, when the 8 year war started, France and Britain were sending over plenty of artillery and soldiers and then supplies for the war efforts and not only that, but the French had treaties with the Natives they had to keep their word on. Eventually, it just got to be too much. So, France wanted out of the war. They made a deal with England to overtake all their debts and keep up to date on the Indian’s treaties and they would forfeit.

This was all fine and dandy, but England was broke. England went to the Central Bankers who owned the “City of London” which was actually nothing more than a mile and a half of financial district in London. THE BANK of ENGLAND which was no more a government entity than our Federal Reserve is gave England the loans they needed at the cost of the people’s taxes as collateral. This is how “ALL” Central Banks work.

As it turned out, the taxation from Englishmen in England simply wasn’t enough and the King worked with others in his Parliament to find more ways to raise finances. They decided to begin taxing the Americans. This is where all Hell broke loose. Taxation without representation was all BS. This wasn’t an issue to Americans. They simply didn’t think Government of England had any place getting more from them than they originally signed up for.
What they signed up for was giving 10% of their produce to England for 7 years to pay for their land and that was that.

Well, that’s where it began and the rest is history.

Now we come to current events.
Our Congress is no more today than the King’s Parliament was in the mid 18th century. The Central Bankers now rule not only England and all of Europe, but they rule every sovereign nation on Earth minus Syria, Iran and North Korea. This is why we are forever trying to pick a fight with these nations.

Our Central Bankers want these Islamic Banks. Iran alone holds assets valued at over 235 Billion. This is huge because in reality, 235 BN of hard cold Gold bars is unheard of in today’s economic resources. The Central Bankers of Europe want these desperately.

If you take note of the map over the past 20 years, you’ll see that we have managed to base ourselves all around Iran on borders of Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Persian Gulf and even in Pakistan. We are now ready to go in.

Every single war on Earth has had to do with these guys overtaking financial institutions within other sovereign states since the latter 1600’s.

So, these people we go to the polls to elect in fact go to Washington with Delusions of grandeur and the knowing within their heart that THEY will be the ones who fix all our problems, only to find upon arrival that what they thought congress did was a mere fantasy. They don’t run anything… They vote on what their majority Whip tells them to and n’er the twain shall meet.

All of congress is a circus act. It’s a show that’s put on to keep our ears, eyes and minds from the truth. Naturally, the media is involved and we don’t get any truth at all and if any truth gets through, you will have talking heads on screen debunking it.

So, because truth is no more than a fantasy, we are inundated with theories rather than facts because in Theory, we can be manipulated. You simply can’t change FACTS. FACTS are extremely stubborn things.

So, politics is no more than theoretical bull shit from opposing ideas when all the ideas are in fact, theory! Am I making sense here?

When you find a Liberal or a Conservative, they are no more than a person who believes one or another’s theoretical bull shit and stands behind it, when in fact… FACTS aren’t presented.

So, we have what we have today. CHAOS!

This is precisely the way the Central Bankers like it.

Just use your common sense. Believe Facts and reality and you’ll be fine. When you hear or read the bull shit, just chuckle and say… “YEA! OF COURSE!”

All of these theories are used in tactful ways to allow you to put your guard down and doubt your faith. In turn, you’ll empower them (Your government) to remove your faith, your Freedom and your Liberty.
Don’t give them that satisfaction. That’s pretty much all there is to it.

This article is about Obama economy, Obama healthcare, and Romney's conservative trust issues.

When all of this political wrangling started I wrote that the most important issues were honor and integrity. The people have been served wrongly by politicians that care more about their own political ambitions then the will of the people. Mr. Romney has to know that though he may be getting the nomination, he will be serving the people of the United States of America.

The real crucial issue for the US is National Security. It is obvious the world is close to imploding. There are great economic challenges for many European nations. There is civil unrest and chaos in many nations.

Obama has made a mess of the American economy. The US is in no position to help countries in trouble.

On the economy, I believe the majority of conservatives want low taxes, low government spending, and low business regulation.

When private businesses and citizens start investing in the economy, jobs will be made. The increase in jobs will lead to an increase in tax revenues.

The American conservative expects that these tax revenues will be administrated in a responsible manner by the new president and the new congress. The idea of helping people is a good idea. However, at present all governments are doing with their government programs is making people weak and unable to meet their own personal challenges.

For decades the people of America have been held hostage to the politics of illegal immigration. More people from Mexico are in America and more continue to come to the US. Companies try to take advantage of cheap labor. Illegal immigrants use public resources at a high cost to the American tax payer.

There is no compassion in letting Mexicans escape their responsibilities by entering the US illegally. The people of a nation are the ones who are responsible for the nation.

I wonder why people are tied to politicians and business people giving them solutions. Politicians want to manipulate people’s hearts and minds to usurp their vote. Business people just want to remove people from their money.

This is still the election where people have to reclaim their country. For a long time politicians have gotten elected on promises they do not keep and have turned their backs on the people.

Now, we know there is a lot to be concerned about with Mr. Mitt Romney. The only solution is to let Mr. Romney know on a daily basis our conservative expectations.

Mr. Obama has answered once and for all which political ideology is better. After spending 7 trillion dollars of the hard working tax payers money, Mr. Obama has a worse economy then when he got elected.

Obama’s goals in his medical reform was to make healthcare more affordable and to increase access to healthcare. Removing competition from any industry is not a good idea. The quality of goods and services suffer and the price goes up.

I was watching a program on the production and sale of “meth“. A doctor said it cost the hospital 300 million to treat people who have almost killed themselves making “meth”. This would be correct if a person is calculating retail prices. However, the hospital and hospital resources already existed. Therefore, I say that a wholesale calculation is more appropriate, which would yield a lower price.

In El Paso, Texas there is something called the University Health Center. This is the county government hospital. In their pricing, this institution tries to compete with the for-profit-hospitals. I wonder how much money could be saved if the US government could manufacture healthcare materials (meds, bandages, gowns, etc) and sell them to the needy at wholesale prices. Of course, only the needy would be permitted to shop at these government hospitals.

This way government would leave private healthcare providers alone. Competition among private healthcare providers would keep prices in check and produce beneficial new technologies.

Now, Obama can speak eloquently. This week many military insiders are upset with Mr. Obama over his gloating about killing Osama Bin Laden. When I was asked about Obama’s decision to give the go ahead to get Bin Laden, I stated that it was a decision any politician would make. The reason being which politicians would want to suffer the political fallout from being the person who said no to getting Bin Laden.

However, there is a great problem for Mr. Obama on human rights. Obama criticized G. W. Bush for supposedly torturing people and infringing on people’s constitutional rights.

Last year Mr. Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act. This act allows for the indefinite detention of terror suspects. The definition of terrorist is becoming vaguer everyday. Obama and his AG believe they can execute Americans on American soil and foreign lands.

I continue to ask Mr. Obama where his “right to trial by jury of your peers” in every drone assignation. All of us want terrorists stopped. However, all these people Obama is killing have not being found guilty in any court of law.

When Obama ran in 2008, he wanted to promote something called the Citizen guard. Obama has tried to go around Congress. Obama questioned the constitutional oversight of the US Supreme Court.

In realty Obama has a lot of problems. He does not believe in individual freedoms. He wants as many people slaves to poverty as possible. All the solutions have to be his solutions, no matter how much they cost the tax payer.

Romney has a conservative trust problem. However, at the moment he seems to be all we have in this election. The positive and optimistic message is that letting the freedom in America work works for everyone.

The American Spirit of freedom to work to succeed is still alive and well in America. America was built by free people building with their ingenuity and tenacity. Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Gram Bell, Samuel Colt, Henry Ford, Charles Goodyear, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and other great American inventors did not need government poverty programs.

Since he has no real record to run on, Obamas strategy will need to be a good old fashioned Chicago thuggery blend.

Since 2008, Obama has been planning his strategy for his reelection. Since day one, his speeches have been coded with how the media and Obama supporters would behave, and speak during his next four years. Now it is close to re election time, Obamas speeches have revved up to focus on anything but his economy, his, failures in general.

So far we had attacks on the rich, attacks on women and attacks on the poor. Obama would have you believe that these attacks are being waged from the right but if he never waged these silly wars in the first place, it would be politics as usual.

Games are a politicians tool. The better one plays, the better his chances are of winning. Obama plays these games well, but the American people are tired of games when they are under the economic crunch. No one wants to play with Obama when gas prices are so high, when food costs are on the rise, and when jobs are scarce.

Now it is D day for Obama. He will send out his media attack dogs ad it will be brutal. The fact is, attacks are the norm in any election, but this time, the liberals will attack anything that moves for any silly reason. There is no record to run on therefore, attacks are all Obama has. This strategy will fail. For attacks to be a win, they need substance for without it, the left will just look like children and people will get disgusted.

The right will indeed stick to a tried and true plan, to speak of issues, reality checks, and the biggest consern, this economy in which Obama himself admitted was the worse since the depression. My word of advice to the President? If at first you don’t susceen, try and lose gracefully. Making up lies are not the way to win anything in life. Attacking using your own media army only seems like bullying. Raising taxes is never the way to win, and fake wars on women, and the rich, is never popular. Well chum, good luck for we know where this is heading but I will sum it up in two words, LO SER.

This article is about how over taxation and over regualation rob people of an enjoyable life.

Let me describe to two people and events with them when I was super happy. I will not mention their names.

I met a woman back in Y2k. With women I can relate with, I am sort of a comedian. However, no matter how hard I tried this particular woman would not laugh at my jokes. She would hear them, but completely ignore them.

This was starting to bug me. Then one day I got her to laugh. We are both from Mexico. She is more emotionally tied to that country than I.

However, I told her, “Sometimes when I am talking to people, I tell them you can tell I am not from America. I came over on the Titanic.” I give the person several seconds to ponder what I am talking about. I am not old enough to of been on the Titanic. Then I say, “Yeah I had to swim most of the way”. This time she laughed. I laughed also.

Before this woman I had met a sweet, darling, adorable, woman who I consider my best friend in the world. I made her laugh a lot. One day we were talking about food. She said something and I responded that I love McDonalds. As always she gave me her questioning and curious look. I then said,’ Well I mean the Big Mac. It is not like I am going to take one of their buildings, place it between to buns, and eat it”. We both laughed at the same time. Then we tried to stop laughing. However, she or I would start laughing again and both would just keep laughing.

I do not lie when I say my life has been a torturous hell. However, this great friend was able to fill my heart with joy, with nothing more than her smile and her beautiful eyes.

Today, I sit here trying to write about the beauty in life because maybe we are confused about what us Traditional Values people are fighting for in this year’s US presidential election. Life is joy, happiness, love, and intimacy. We are fighting for the right to live our lives in a good, decent, and righteous manner.

Every single person that thinks they can rob people by demanding their money in taxes fails to understand one thing. The money I earn is the money I can use to enjoy life with while I am alive.

Okay, some will say you cannot buy happiness. I will agree. However, when there is money for bills, rent, and groceries people are in a better mood.

Bureaucrats only waste the tax payer’s money. All governments exist only to administrate basic services and protect the public welfare. A threat has to be a real threat not a perceived threat created by people who gain financially by promoting the threat, like Global Warming theorists.

Our society is a mess because some people are trying to hold me to their misguided standards. Most of us are born with the same brain. We can either be positive or evaluate our environment in order to find a way to a desirable life or we can be negative and find excuses for failure. No amount of money is going to help people change their attitude and start working for them.

At the end of personal thought is misery or joy. The attitude we confront life contributes to our mood.

After my letter to God, some may wonder how I dare to write an article on the beauty in life. When I started writing my goal was to help people overcome their pain and suffering. I forgot this goal. I assigned myself this mission.

In the last days, I realized why it is I am into Traditional Values. Freedom from stress comes from being able to meet the challenges of life. When we are able to keep the majority of our money and have a rich economic environment we are able to meet the challenges of life.

I do not need Obama or anyone else to give me what I can provide for myself. I am not afraid of long hours. I will tolerate any human at the office as long as I am working towards my goals.

However, we are in a world of serious negativity. People do not know the life’s pursuit that will bring them true joy in life. We have lost sense of life.

Now, I am not wiser than anyone else. However, I am more in tune with being positive and enjoying life with the simple pleasures of life, such as Coca Cola, good music, and working to accomplish my personal goals.

Life has so much to offer. Circumstances are not excuses. I cannot say that because I am not making enough money, I have the right to rob a bank or violate a country’s borders.

I believe that Mr. Romney will respect the hard earned money of hard working Americans. In addition, I say with good confidence Mr. Romney will not spend 7 trillion dollars. Mr. Romney has stated that he will work to repeal Obama-care. Mr. Romney has stated he believes in the strict enforcement of all illegal immigration laws.

Therefore, there is a great difference between Mr. Romney and Mr. Obama. Romney is a positive optimist. Obama is a negative cynic. Romney believes in respecting the individual. Obama thinks he knows better than all of us.

Mr. Obama is not my spouse. Mr. Obama is not my sibling. Mr. Obama is not my religious leader. Mr. Obama is not my good friend. Therefore, why does Mr. Obama think he knows better than I do how to spend my hard earned money?

A lot of people have had their homes foreclosed while Obama has been in office. There are still 20 million people looking for work. Obama spending 7 trillion dollars has helped none of them. In the three years Obama has been in office many Americans spend their days tortured by their personal economic situation. Many Americans have given up looking for work, are under employed, and/or could only find a part-time job.

Americans are worse of three and half years later. The people who used good philosophies and pursued life with a positive and optimistic attitude are not responsible for Obama’s failures. Mr. Obama can criticize Republicans and the wealthy all he wants. However, Mr. Obama is the reason Americans are worse of today than they were three years ago.

The beauty of America is her freedom. People have the freedom to choose better leadership. I have come to the conclusion that the power in all nations is best in the hands of its citizens. Societies succeed when its members are personally responsible and self-reliant. The best government is a small government, with a low tax system, and minimal regulation of the free market.

Now, I am aware of the stress the current economic crisis is causing people. The solution to this distress is not more Obama spending.

The individual has to define his or her life. Then the individual uses the resources in his or her environment to meet the challenges of life and pursue joy and happiness. I know when we all start handling our business in life in America will improve.

Life begins at conception. Approximately, nine months later, a child is born. Many parents fall in love with their children before their birth. They take joy in watching them grow.

Through life a child has many steps. They go from a creature that kicks and tastes everything to a thinking and acting been. aS LONG AS there is no abuse, a child grows up nice, polite, decent, and good.

At High school graduation, the parent shines with joy from looking upon the adult they helped form. The road to adulthood is filled with music, crushes, jokes, and some disappointments.

Then these new adults start their own families and the cycle of life begins again. Each day is one filled with endless possibilities for fun, joy, laughter, happiness, love, and intimacy. People who are of a good attitude get the most of life.

Life is supposed to be a joy, even in difficult times. However, in our world we are brainwashed to a bad attitude.

I am a firm believer that most people know what is right and wrong. This presidential election all the people, who know about the beauty of life and the delicate balance between government and the citizen, need to get involved and vote.

Tax season is at its peak. There's no time like the present to get a great return.

It doesn’t take a some-what trained office clerk or even an accountant to get you a good income tax return. You know how you spent your money better than they do. Do you ever feel like even after answering all of their questions, they still tell you tha you don’t qualify for this or that deduction. Some clerks want to get as many customers done with their returns as possible, so they don’t encourage people to fill out a long form.

After several years of this crap, I started using Turbo Tax. Seriously, all it takes is your full attention. You can log in and out as often as you need to. The program will save your information year after year. It will guide you through the process and if you don’t like what you are getting back, you don’t have to pay for the use of the web-site. But I guarantee that you will learn more about what you need to know about what you can claim on your taxes.

There is a live community available to help answer any questions you may have. Once you get the hang of it, you can explore through the program on your own and go back and forth as needed until you get it right. The first time that you use it, it’s free. If you log in the following year, you can use the Basic program

Forbes is a leading source for reliable business news and financial information. Read news, politics, economics, business & finance on Forbes.com.

after you done reading or before, click on a google ad for great articles or opportunities

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama paid federal income taxes of $150,253 on an adjusted gross income of $789, 674, an effective tax rate of just 19%. When the first family’s tax burden is figured the way Obama’s proposed “Buffett rule” tax would be calculated, however, they paid 27.9% of their income in tax —still shy of the 30% minimum effective tax rate he wants millionaires to pay.

Both the Obamas and Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, were hit by the existing alternative minimum tax, which mostly snags upper middle class folks with big deductions for state and local taxes. The Obamas’ total tax bill was boosted $12,491 as a result of the AMT. The Bidens, with a gross income of $379,035, paid income tax of $86,892, for an effective tax rate of 22.9%. Of the Bidens’ total tax, $6,805 was due to the AMT.

The Buffett rule, which Senate Democrats plan to bring up for a symbolic vote on Monday, the eve of the federal tax filing deadline, wouldn’t apply to the Obamas or Bidens—it is phased in for taxpayers with adjusted gross income of more than $1 million and takes full effect at $2 million.

By contrast, the tax would hit presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney hard; according to a preliminary tax return his campaign released in January, Romney and wife Ann paid only $3.2 million in federal income tax on a 2011 AGI of $20.9 million—a 15.4% effective rate. (The Romney campaign says his official 2011 return will be released when he files it. Wealthy folks like Romney, who receive income from a variety of partnerships and trusts, usually apply for an automatic extension to file their tax returns. With extensions, taxpayers have until Oct. 15, 2012 to file their 2011 returns.)

Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, for whom the millionaire minimum tax is named, paid only 11% of his AGI in 2010 in federal income taxes, according to information he has released. Romney’s and Buffett’s effective tax rates were held down by the fact that most of their income comes in the form of capital gains and dividends, which are taxed currently at a top 15% federal rate, compared to 35% for salary income. Their tax bills, as well as Obama’s, were further reduced by large deductions for charitable contributions.

The Obamas donated $172,130–a hefty 22% of their AGI–in 2011, with the largest donation of $117,130 going to the Fisher House Foundation, a scholarship fund for the children of soldiers who have been killed or disabled. The foundation receives Obama’s after-tax profit from the sales of a children’s book he published after becoming President.

The Obamas’ 2011 income was off considerably from 2010, when higher book earnings boosted their total AGI to $1.7 million. The President’s 2011 tax returns were published at the White House web site here. But his presidential campaign today put up a separate web site featuring all of Obama’s returns dating back to 2000. That, of course, was at a jab at Romney, who released his 2010 return, but has said he doesn’t plan to go back and release older returns.

Even though the Obamas didn’t earn enough in 2011 to have to worry about a Buffett rule, it’s instructive to see how the application of that minimum tax for millionaires would work in Obama’s case.

Fortunately, the Senate bill, S.2059, The Paying a Fair Share Act of 2012, is actually fairly simple as these sorts of gotcha tax provisions go, points out Mark Luscombe, principal federal tax analyst for CCH, a unit of Wolters Kluwer. “It’s much less complicated than the AMT,’’ he said.

Here’s how the Buffett tax would work as applied to the Obamas. I’ve written out every detail of my calculations, both to shed a little light on how the Buffett tax works (there’s even more explanation here) and to allow readers to check (and challenge if need be) my results. Two big adjustments in the Buffett tax are important to note, particularly since they apply to Obama. First, you get to deduct your charitable gifts before applying the 30%. Second, the 30% counts not only income tax payments, but also the employee’s share of the Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes.

So the 30% is applied against $617,544 in the Obamas’ case. ($789,674 adjusted gross income minus $172,130 in charitable contributions.) That makes their minimum Buffett tax $185,263. (30% X $617,544)

Now here’s what they paid that counts towards the 30%:

Federal income tax (including AMT) $150,253

Foreign tax credit (allowed by Buffett rule) 5,841

Employee’s share of Social Security Tax

(on President’s salary) 4,486

Employee’s share of Medicare

(on President’s salary) 5,725

Employee’s share of Medicare

Self employment/book earnings 5,911

———————————————————————————————

For a grand total, in Buffett rule payments of $172,216

Since the grand total of $172,216 is less than the Buffett rule 30% minimum of $185,263, that leaves a Buffett tax of $13,047–although as non-millionaires, the Obamas wouldn’t actually owe it.

The economy is lagging, I know what we should do. We should have the HIGHEST taxes in the industrialized world because THAT won't drive businesses to flee in DROVES to China!!!

It is now official…the United States has the highest tax rate for businesses in the industrialized world! Look, like most people (I would imagine) I want to see large corporations paying “their fair share”. But here is the problem – by keeping tax rates high, all the United Sates government is doing is making sure that global business like Nike, Apple, and other massive corporations are keeping their money overseas. That means money not being invested in the homeland. Too bad for ALL the business in the U.S. that AREN’T global! They end up footing the bill while a very stupid government wonders why raising tax rates isn’t bringing in more tax revenue.

Recently I visited the small town where I grew up in California. It was a shell of its former self. It has suffered an onslaught of high federal taxes, high state taxes, and high city and county taxes in a truly mad attempt by government bureaucrats to balance budgets while NOT lowering spending. I was saddened and disheartened to see the state of affairs but was not surprised as in my travels throughout the state, I have seen the same story played out over and over…and OVER! California with its extremely high taxes and out of control spending has seen an exodus of tax payers to other states hoping to reopen their businesses and/or find work there.

When will the government morons wake up and realize that they’ve reached the threshold?!? I can answer that. They will wake up at precisely the same time as THE REST OF US!!! As citizens we don’t have to like big businesses getting tax breaks but we do have to understand that eventually we’re going to run everyone out of town, big and small. And the little guys are always the ones to suffer first. The United States of America was once a great country. We haven’t been for some time and the rest of the world has known that for several years. That realization is just now catching up with the rest of us. Land of opportunity…? Perhaps we should be looking eastward.

Children, did you ever know of anybody that outsmarted the IRS? Well I've got news for you. My Sister done that very thing. Now, I know that's hard to believe and I can't hardly believe it myself. But it's a pure-d fact. When Sister gets a bug up her butt, you better watch out. She will turn you every way but lose. Sister was the spoiled child at our house and she ain't never learned a bit of sense. Sometimes she acts so uppity you could just smack her. But Mama always told me to look after Sister so I try, child, I try.

Child I would not believe it if I didn’t see Sister do it. The brass on her face is shinning so bright it could blind you. Now I ain’t no coward but I wouldn’t try to outsmart the IRS, cause honey, you just can’t do such a thing. You can’t take on the whole United States government. Why you could get in jail and never agin see the light of day. Now, they is just some things you are better off to leave alone and one of them things is the IRS. Honey, I wouldn’t have knowed a thing about it if Sister hadn’t come and just about drug me out of my house and home having one of her hissy fits. My Sister was screaming like a panther and hissing like a wild cat. I never heard the like in my life and I’ve heard a lot of caterwauling off sister. She will wear out your last little nerve and I mean your very last little nerve.

Exterior of the Internal Revenue Service office in midtown New York. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Sister had already give Guthrie what for. But she wasn’t done with it yet so she started on her Sister who loves her and tries her damnedest to put up with all her foolishness, without going plum off her rocker. And child, that ain’t easy to do. Sometimes I just ache to knock her to kingdom come. But Mama always taught me to be good to Sister.

Mama said Sister’s nerves was so fractious she might shoot off like a rocket if we didn’t calm her down, and child, I do try to keep Sister calm, but that’s a losing battle. As soon as I calm her down from one hissy fit, she’s going right into another one. But I try, I really do. Sometimes Leroy says, Lacy you just make Sister more crotchety than she naturally is by listening to all blabberin. Then again, he thinks it’s the funniest thing he ever seen and he just aggs her on. I could wring his neck when he goes on with his devilment like that.

Well I’ll be dadgum, I started to tell y’all about Sister’s troubles with the IRS but I clean forgot what I was talking about. Sister says I do carry on. Anyways, the IRS sent Sister and Guthrie a letter telling them they had underpaid their income taxes by $21 in the year 2000,and now they had to pay them scutters over a thousand dollars with all the interest that had been tacked on. Now I can’t hardly blame Sister for taking on like a dying calf. That was right thoughtless of the IRS to wait 12 years to let them know about it.

Now I know we all make mistakes but the government ain’t supposed to act no such way. Anyways, Sister tore her house apart, and honey would you believe she found them old tax papers and sent the IRS another copy of everything. Well, to make a long story short, it wasn’t Sister’s and Guthrie’s mistake at all. It was the IRS that made a mistake. Sister and Guthrie shore was happy campers. You know pore folks don’t have no thousand dollars laying around to give to the IRS. So I guess Sister outsmarted the IRS by hanging onto to her old tax papers. I know one thing child, I ain’t never goin to throw our old tax papers away. And don’t y’all either. Them scutters might come after y’all next.

People complain incessantly about the "one percent," but what about the real scam that they're still falling for?

According to CNN, the average NFL ticket costs $76.47 this year. That’s up about four percent from last year. The Met Life Stadium holds 82,566 spectators. A relatively full house would yield more than six million dollars in revenue, per game, from ticket sales alone. That doesn’t include the massive amounts of revenue raked in by overpriced concessions and advertising. The money paid to players alone each year is more than $1,000,000.00.

Professional football is copiously expensive, and it’s just one of the many major league sports in the United States. Here’s the thing: Major League Sports are way overrated.

Lots of folks complain about the rich, referring to them as the one percent. In all honesty, the rich are often where they are because they worked harder, so it’s not right that we blame them for our problems or tax them more. It would make much more sense to boycott professional sports. Why should a few jocks get paid 90 million dollars a year to play? They shouldn’t.

So, before you start complaining about how you’ve been wronged by those who actually work hard, think about all the money you’ve spent on sports this year.
