What is going on inside the brain of a serial killer and what made him the way he is?

The mind of a serial killer is a chilling area of discussion. It makes one wonder why they do it and how they got that way in the first place. Serial killers are very complex individuals. There is usually a group of traits that have some bearing on the personality. In order to be distinguished as a serial killer, there are certain criteria that need to be met. This usually involves the killing of over three people with a noticeable standstill amid the murders that extends in excess of approximately a month. Serial killers are more inclined to be males. Female serial killers are very scarce and their intentions tend to differ somewhat from that of the males.

It has been strongly authenticated that there is a marked constituent of sexual brutality often associated with the childhood of a serial killer. Their deceitful conduct as adults is often times related to events from their past whether it be sexual, physical, emotional, or a combination of all three. These forms of abuse ultimately mark where fantasy begins to surpass reality and some really alarming activities begin to surface. Many become captivated with arson and/or there is the development of the cruel torture of animals to name a few. It is worthy to note as well that there are many people who endure tragic childhoods, but yet do not become murderers. Something in the mind of the serial killer gets triggered to an on position that cannot be stopped.

As adults after traits of psychopathy and sociopathy have already set in, the serial killer will take on such acts as becoming engrossed with inner organs of the body, exclusively the sexual parts with an instance of this nature being necrophilia. As psychopaths, they will lack any compassion or sympathy for their victims. As sociopaths, their perception of what is considered correct and unethical has been corrupted.

Most of the famous serial killers in America have been white males approximately around the age of thirty. Ted Bundy is a notorious psychopath that comes to mind. He lured women into his car and would do unspeakable acts with the bodies following their demise. Sexual predator, John Wayne Gacy, and his psychopathic tendencies became the center of attention amongst researchers after he was imprisoned for raping and killing several young males.

There has been some progression and conjecture as to why a select group of individuals will become serial killers. Some theorists have considered that they are biologically born as killers with anomalous activity being experienced in the brain. The mind of the serial killer continues to be studied and more superior gains of knowledge are expected to evolve in the future.

An inside look at Serial killers.

JOHN REGINANLD CHRISTIE
On 24 March 1953 a new tenant was moving into his flat at 10 Rillington Place in London’s Notting Hill when he discovered a naked body of a woman. Calling the police, they found six bodies of women who had been raped and strangled, including the wife of the previous tenant, the tall, balding John Reginald Christie. Soon caught, he admitted the murders and was hanged in July 1953.

Ill-treated and bullied at school, Christie became a petty thief. His father kicked him out and in 1920 he married Ethel, a passive woman. In 1943 he had an affair with a married woman. When the husband found out, he beat him up.
Still sexually inadequate, it was this that led to his killings, the semen found in the bodies suggesting he was a necrophile. His failure to communicate coupled with his sexual inadequacy led him to prefer to have sex with dead women.

TED BUNDY
The Colorado police were perplexed when they arrested Ted Bundy for the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch. He was a long way from a typical suspect. He had a degree in psychology. However, whilst in custody he was linked to the murder of one Caryn Campbell.

In December 1977, 6 months after arrest, Bundy escaped. He was caught in February 1978, but during his period of liberty he had attacked at least 5 women, 3 of them fatally. By this time, nationwide enquiries had linked him to 19 murders of young women in California, Utah, Colorado and Washington State – as well as Florida where the latest attacks had occurred.

Ted Bundy was sentenced to death and served ten years on Death Row, executed in January 1989. During this time he was studied by psychologists. One of them, a Dr Carlisle, concluded that Bundy was … a man who has no problems, or is smart enough or clever enough to appear close to the edge of normalcy.

Yet in other interviews, a dark personality emerged. He collaborated on a book, claiming total innocence, but speculated freely on the mentality of the serial killer. For motive, he spoke of genuine pleasure in killing and claimed the act must be endlessly repeated to satiate the appetite.

He also claimed that a force existed within the personality of the killer; a form of beast within. This was the real culprit, and existed side by side with the person, allowing the killer to appear normal. To use Bundy’s own words: ‘sometimes I feel like a vampire.’

SERIAL KILERS
In the early 1960s Boston was terrorized by a killer who became known as the Boston Strangler. Killing 13 women, they were left naked, raped and strangled. Eventually, a handyman called Albert Desalvo was convicted for the murders.

In March 1953 a new tenant at 10 Rillington Place, Notting Hill, discovered the first of 6 bodies hidden around the flat. Police found the previous tenant – John Reginald Christie – and he was later hanged for the crimes.
The above are typical serial killers – people who gain a thirst for killing and continue to do so over and over again. The murders are usually very personal events, the killer leaving much of his personality behind. Profilers often use the crime scene in order to understand what is going on in the killer’s mind.

As with most serial killers, Desalvo and Christie were loners. Motives vary. Christie appeared to be sexually frustrated, with evidence of having sex with the corpses. Desalvo, on the other hand, was a pervert. Before turning to murder, he had a career as a sexual molester.

This slow transition from lesser crime to murder can often be identified. Jeffrey Dahmer, who killed 15 times in America between 1978-91 began his career by killing animals. He was a walking zombie who considered himself a failure.
Sometimes, a killer can appear a confident, normal person. Homosexual John Wayne Gacy, who admitted to 33 murders of young men around Chicago in the 1970s and 80s, was a successful businessman and even entertained children as a clown.

Ted Bundy, who was executed in 1989, killed all over America. His deep frustrations were hidden behind a confident façade, and he even appeared a bit of a womanizer. Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, who killed 13 women between 1975-81, lived with a wife who had no idea what he was up to.
Sutcliffe was, infact, an evangelical killer. God spoke to him to tell him to clean prostitutes off the street. He carried out his crimes in a matter of fact way. Alternatively, Dennis Nilson, who was discovered when his drains were blocked by body parts in 1983, killed 15 young men principally, it seems, because he had taken them to his flat and he didn’t want them to go.

One worrying aspect of serial killers is that they do not appear to be insane. In court they are judged sane and sent to prison rather than a mental institution. But maybe this point may hold the key to understanding them.
That they are monsters is not in doubt, but could it be that the monster is simply a part of their make-up that only surfaces from time to time? For instance, how can a ‘monster’ successfully lead a normal life undetected? Further, in most serial killings, silly mistakes are made, and often they are happy to be caught, as if there is a ‘conscience’ working behind the scenes.

These three aspects of the serial killer – the monster, the façade and the conscience – have similarities to a phenomenon known as multiple personality, where, due to psychological problems, the mind can fragment into different characters who take it in turn to occupy the host.

I am not saying that serial killers are multiple personality sufferers, but as Ted Bundy advised, sometimes a monster takes him over. Perhaps, to understand the serial killer, we need to know more about what goes on in his head.

BEVERLEY ALLITT
Nurses have been known to become serial killers. Consider Beverley Allitt. Working in a Grantham children’s ward in 1991, within a week, baby Liam Taylor died. Over the following months, four babies would die in all, with 24 incidences of cardiac arrest or respiratory failure.

One of these was Paul Crampton, 5 months old. When his blood was analysed, it was high in insulin. Checks showed that Beverley Allitt had been on duty during all the attacks and she was arrested. Remaining in Rampton Mental Hospital, Allitt suffers from Munchenhausen’s Syndrome by Proxy, where her need for attention results in her hurting, first, herself, and then others.

BOSTON STRANGLER
On 14 June 1962 the body of Anna Slesers was found in her Boston home. She was the first of 13 women of varying ages to be found dead in their homes, naked, raped and strangled with a stocking, their bodies left in obscene poses. This was the beginning of the Boston Strangler. The reign of terror ended in October 1964 when a man entered a house and assaulted a woman before saying sorry and leaving.

The description of the assailant fitted the Measuring Man, a sexual pervert who had assaulted dozens of women. Soon, handyman Albert Desalvo was arrested, and in the Bridgewater Mental Institute he confessed to being the killer. Through plea bargaining, he received life for lesser crimes and was stabbed to death in prison in 1973.

What kind of man was Desalvo? His mother gave him little affection and his father was brutal, one day breaking his wife’s fingers one by one. Soon becoming a housebreaker, Desalvo joined the US Army in Germany, marrying a local girl who divorced him for serial adultery and a high sexual urge.

Indeed, Desalvo claimed to always have an erection – the answer to his previous crime spree as the Measuring Man, so called because he’d con women into thinking he could make them into models, his advances beginning with measuring them up. It is believed he may have committed 300 rapes before finally turning to murder.

HAROLD SHIPMAN
Harold Shipman is thought to be Britain’s worst serial killer, killing a possible 215 people, mainly elderly patients, with overdoses of diamorphine. Born in Nottingham in 1946, his mother died when he was 17. It is thought his fascination with death began here. Marrying his wife, Primrose, in 1965, he first began practicing as a GP in Hyde, Greater Manchester, in 1979. Six years later, an investigation into death rates among his patients led to no action.

Investigated again in 1998 after another GP expressed concern, he is known to have killed three patients before his arrest. With many bodies exhumed, he was tried at Preston Crown Court in 1999 and found guilty of fifteen murders. Arrogant and unrepentant, Shipman hanged himself in his cell in January 2004.

Ted Bundy’s original name was Theodore Robert Cowell then to Louise Cowell on November 24 th 1946. For almost all of his life he thought that his grandparents were his parents and his sister was his mother. All through his highschool years he suffered from accute shyness. This followed him to college, he had many friends though but he never wanted to go out with his friends. He also dated but kept to him self all the time. In 1967 his world was turned around when he met the women of his dreams. She was independent, and very wealthy and beautiful. These times of his life that he had the best days was when they were together they loved to go skiing, they spent many weekends doing it. He fell so in love with her and felt that he needed to do what ever to impress her. He got a scholar ship to stanford, which the thing that was not impressing was how long he was there for. A year later in 1968 she figured out that he was going no where in his future which also meant in her eyes that he was not husband material. So she decided to end the relationship leaving his heart shattered into pieces. He was still so in love with her that his obssesion towards her haunted him for years. The breakup made him feel so depressed that he dropped out of school. During that time he figured out that his grandparents where just his grandparents and his sister was his mother. This news left him devestated, leaving him to relize he needed to do what was right and get his life straight and go back to school. He ended up getting his degree in psychology.

My view on the most notorious killers of the 20th century.

Recently, I have spent time researching serial killers and their motives so I decided to write an article on it.

Number 1- Ted Bundy

Image via Wikipedia

Number of victims- 30+

Main target- Women

Motive- Necrophillia

Years active- 1974-1978

In the 20th century, no killer has had their name mentioned more than Ted Bundy. His ability to attract young women was probably his greatest weapon. He had a charming demeanor as well as good looks. He used this to attract them to his car, then drive them to a secluded location where he would torture them and eventually kill them. He often visited the corpses several times and performed sexual acts for hours at a time. He even called himself ”… the most cold-blooded son of a bitch you’ll ever meet.” That is why he is the most notorious serial killer of the 20th century.

Number 2- John Wayne Gacie

Image via Wikipedia

Number of victims- 33

Main target- Young men

Motive- Sexual pleasure and the thrill of murder

Years active- 1972-1978

John Wayne Gacie is possibly the most evil man to ever walk the planet earth. Gacy used multiple methods to lure his victims including: business deals; settling employees wages; threats at gunpoint; and sleeping gas. He would then take them to his house where he would rape, beat and eventually murder his victims. He would then bury them in the crawl space under his house. Between December 1978 and March 1979, 29 victims were recovered from Gacie’s property. He would later go on to lie and claim that someone else put them there. That is why the “killer clown” makes the number two spot on this list.

Number 3- Tommy Lynn Sells

Number of victims- 70+

Main target- No specific target

Motive- Thrill of murder

Years active- 1980-1999

Tommy Lynn Sells is less known than the two people above him on this list, but is responsible for far more murders. He has claimed to murdering over 70 people. Not many people murder for the pure thrill but this man is an exception. Although he was involved in sexual assualt; he claims his main motive was the pleasure he gained from killing. His main weapons were his hands or a knife as he said something along the lines of “gun’s are dangerous.” This is a man who really enjoys killing. That is why I had to include him on this list.

My paper for forensics, a college class.

A serial killer is a person who carries out a series of murders over a period of time. What causes these men and women to begin and continue their streak of awful murders? How does one cope with the “blood on their hands”? What determines their punishment for the crime they did?

Serial killers, such as Ted Bundy, Genene Jones, and Robert Hansen, follow a certain routine to qualify for the definition of a serial killer. To be a serial killer, the person needs to follow a certain routine over a period of time, with a single victim each time. These men and women are usually smart and elude detection. Though this strikes fear throughout, another type of murder creates an awareness within the community. Mass murderers usually kill several victims in an amount of time, such as minutes, hours. Their normal crime scenes are shopping malls, restaurants, and government offices. Unfortunately certain people fall to the conscienceless action, for example families, or random bystanders.

Serial killers have different motives for their actions. They could be for sex or lust. Sex murderers kills often out of fear or wanting to silence their victims‘ words. However, lust murderers harbor deep-rooted fantasies thus want to commit their inner desires. The “Southside Slayer” killed twelve women prostitutes with a small handgun, thus causing a worry in the town. Ted Bundy, a well known killer, victimized forty young women between 1964 and 1978 in the Pacific Northwest, including Utah, Idaho, Colorado and another odd spot Florida. He sexually assaulted the women before and after death, then murdered them with a blunt instrument or strangulation. Robert Hansen had a “severe inferiority complex with girls”, so he started rape and torture young women. These women included seventeen prostitutes, nude dancer, and women that made him feel weak. He was known as Alaska’s worst mass murderer.

For gratification, some murderers seek other ways such as animal torturing, or using young persons. Genene Jones seeks enjoyment by murdering six children with injections of succinylcholine, a hard to detect drug that paralyzes. Her victim that convicted her, Chelsea McClellan, a fifteen month old, revealed the rest of the victim’s evidence. Normally murderers who carry out several killings are psychologically unstable. In younger years, killers might have felt a sense of rejection, failure, and loss of autonomy. They are disoriented enough to think killing is a “recreational sport”.

In return for their wrong doings, serial killers are given a punishment. Modern thinkers believe that death is only way to deter a criminal from striking again, yet others think this option is too cruel and expensive. It’s the last resort to deter people from -committing particularly heinous crimes.

“We generally cannot incarcerate people for crimes they have to commit.” (Hickey,1991)

The decision to kill or not is not always decided by the thoughts, it could be decided if the state has the penalty. Other options for the killers are to take the plea bargains they were offered, which often lead to confessing and a lesser year sentence. Some criminals get a life sentence without parole, meaning no possible chance of being free again. Most serial killers or mass murderers are highly unlikely to have liberty to outside life. From 1995 to 2000, seventy-one executions averaged per year, a twenty-one thousand percent increase from 1966 to 1980.

In the end, most well known serial killers are captured and executed within the year or a couple of months after. If not, their actions taken in the prison will be worse than what would be produced, such as a riot, if they were still alive. Their minds are unstable for their actions they created. Thus they are either dead or not in the real world

Image via Wikipedia

Serial crimes – many episode criminal acts (at least three), which makes the subject of non-obvious reasons with strangers with a certain interval, sufficient to happen emotional cooling offender.

Serial killers should be separated from the mass (for a short time, killing lots of people without emotional periods of cooling) and on the chain (for a long time, killing lots of people without an emotional cooling periods).

The term “serial killer” appeared in 1976 to describe the personality of Ted Bundy. The most famous serial killer is Jack the Ripper. Any mention of these people is a trembling man in the street, and the name Chikatilo has become almost a household name in our country.

They say it’s mentally abnormal people, who in childhood were abused and humiliated. But in fact about serial killers have a few myths that we consider.

All serial killers lead lives of hermits. If you think that these people lead a life, cut off from society, then it’s time to change the point of view. The main reason for that murderers are not so fast, is just that they are well hidden, living as good citizens, nice talking to neighbors, go to parent meetings children. For example, Dennis Rader of Kansas, killing 10 people in history he is known as “BTK” (from the word “bind, torture, kill”, meaning to bind, torture and kill). During the trial, Dennis calmly talked in detail about the last moments of life of its victims, not at all excited at the same time. In ordinary life of a murderer and has two children, having worked for higher education officials, as well as a hobby led the church choir. Robert Pick ton for twenty years has killed nearly fifty women, had a pig farm, supplying meat throughout the county. In his testimony, he admitted that he added to the pork meat and their victims. Robert also was married at home reading the Bible and attended church regularly.

To blame bad parenting and poor family. Such an assertion is not for all the killers of this type, not over all abused in childhood, although such a myth about them, and widely distributed. For example, serial killer Ted Bundy confessed to raping a thirty women, being a foster child, grew up in a respectable religious family, the school was a good student. In an interview with a psychologist maniac admitted that his family was exemplary, he loves his parents, which for him is an example. The whole family are regular churchgoers, alcohol and smoking are not welcome, children have never witnessed quarrels between them. However, this ideal situation is not saved the company from a serial killer.

If a serial killer began its work, then stop, he cannot. This myth is born thanks to a Hollywood cliché, thanks to which it seems to us that the maniac has continued relentlessly to kill until inquisitive detectives he was not caught. In real life, not so. Cop psychologist Peter Brown in his book on serial killers said that in life, geek something can change, it’s something and stop it in the bloody work before police caught him. Such an event could be change in marital status – death of a relative, the beginning of family life and so on. Already mentioned Dennis Rader committed his murders from 1974 to 1991, and was taken only in 2005. 14 years before catching the offender has not committed a single murder. The reason for this, is the fact that Dennis found that the similarities in the murder of feeling he gets when engaging in masturbation, then, is the occupation and divert the killer from his murderous activities.

The motive for the crime is just sex. Indeed, this is the motive for some of the criminals, but not major. In 2002, it thundered Washington sniper who killed ten random people in the U.S. capital. According to one version of the serial killer had planned to shoot his wife, and the remaining murders were to be the cover of the crime, according to another version of the motive could be money – in one of the places the police found a note demanding $ 10 million to end a series of murders. For murderers who were abused in childhood, an important factor in crimes is a sense of their own power and control over their victims. Other motives may be hallucinating, so schizophrenic, Herbert Mullin, who killed 13 people in the U.S., said that he so ordered some “voices” to prevent an earthquake. Often the killers tend to missions – they believe that their actions cleanse mankind from the mud – Jews, prostitutes, gays. Usually, the killers belong to several types, having more than one motive for their actions.

All serial killers – insane genius. Many people think that along with the deranged mentality these criminals possess high intelligence, which helps them carefully and long to hide from the law. Psychologist Peter Brown said such a statement without foundation. As evidence of the case are FBI and materials processes convicted serial killers. Almost all of them had IQ at the lower threshold of average or slightly above average. Yes, and mental illness were detected in a minimum number of convicts. Therefore, this myth is untenable.

Serial killers are killed indiscriminately, just anyone. Falsehood is the claim that serial killers kill just those who fall under the hand. In fact, most of the criminals choose their victims carefully; usually affected people feel something in common. Typically, the killer chooses those. Who seems to be the easiest prey, often they are people other than sexual orientation, and sometimes victims can recall the murderer of someone from his past.

Serial killers are constantly moving long distances, which is why the police cannot catch them. According to this myth of the killer literally cross the continents, thus remaining elusive. It is often assumed that the criminals know the police investigation methods, so they can successfully conceal their tracks. However, Peter Brown, says that few maniacs travels over long distances, choosing victims over large areas, usually a killer acting on “their” territory with a very vague ideas about methods of investigation. For example, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in 1978 and 1991 committed at least fifteen murders of young guys, having a sexual motives. Police still believes that not all victims were found. All of his victims the killer found in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In gay bars, he was looking for young people in the role of a gigolo, which clearly no one will subsequently seek. Later, the killer lured future victims to his apartment or a house inherited from her grandmother, where they solder or befuddle drugs, then killed. Body maniac cut into pieces, some parts still and eat.

Women do not become serial killers. A typical portrait of the perpetrator – a white male, but in this series, there are also women interested in their stories, of course, increased. However, even harder to find a sinner. The FBI believes that 15% of violent crimes committed in the United States is the fairer sex, the total number of serial killers in the U.S., 8%. It is believed that this killer is as dangerous as men, but not so conspicuous, that allows them to wield a long time. Developed a typology of these offenders even. Thus, the “black widows” murder their husbands, lovers and people with whom she had a relationship of trust. Usually, the offense occurs with poison, for 10-15 years at the hands of a woman dying is usually 6-8 people. The second category – the “angels of death”. Typically, these women work in hospitals or nursing homes, to try on the role of God, choosing from patients who die prematurely. On average 1-2 years for 8 murders. The next category is “sexual predator”. This lady over 30 years old, who moved a lot and have a passion for carnal pleasures, their favorite weapon is a gun in the middle of their criminal history lasts 3 years for which they manage to kill 6 people. Much rarer avenger who choose to be the victims of family members or someone who has a symbolic meaning for them. Murder for the money remained in the 18-19 centuries. Part of the reason women’s crimes and cannot be determined. It is worth mentioning that a third of the serial murders of women committed in groups – the classic examples are the Bonnie and Clyde, who is 30 years of the 20 th century have killed 16 people.

Serial killers in real life, no matter what cannot. Noteworthy is the story of Jack Unterveger, who was serving a 14 year sentence for the murder of a prostitute, wrote in the conclusion of the book “Purgatory, or a trip to the house of detention”, which became a bestseller in Germany and Austria, later published another book, “Prison.” In Vienna, were placed two of his plays. After liberation in 1990 Unterveger became talk show host on television, but soon continued series of assassinations, which was not immediately disclosed. It is interesting that while at liberty, the perpetrator even participated in the police raids as a journalist. Another serial killer, whose name remains unknown, got into the habit while in jail bird watching. Soon he was in custody was the major experts in ornithology, to release him even petitioned colleagues!

Although the field is estimated at not more than 3.4 million pounds, the businessman was forced to abandon it and is so horrified by what has happened here that are not even thinking of selling it to not throw the bane of other innocent people. Lee Roberts, a British expert who has investigated paranormal phenomena hundreds of such cases (exposing many fakes) and led the team that investigated the site after the businessman fled, saidhe is the only place that was really fear, even during the day. Strange noises, screaming, slamming doors, smashed windows, shakings - poltergeist entire arsenal was unleashed with the fury of the Muslim domain.

Another spectacular poltergeist case that happens lately is that of serial killer Ted Bundy, who was executed on January 24, 1989, after it killed over 30 women. Bundy’s spirit would come back to terrorize guards and inmates at the prison in the state of Florida, USA, where the killer spent 11 years behind bars for life and where he received the death penalty, electric chair. Bundy confessed in detail how he killed 30 women, and after he was sentenced to death, has been trying to prolong its life, promising them that police and prosecutors will recognize other crimes and will indicate where the bodies are buried.

These, however, refused to give them more time and made him so even today we do not know exactly how many crimes committed by Bundy – although police Americans have dealt with the case estimated that they would not be than 35, there are voices saying that Bundy would have made 100 victims. Today, it seems that i was in the dark cell psychopath, the prison hallways and the room was electric chair , there are numerous poltergeist phenomena – strange noises, whispers, knocking into the walls. Or so says some of prisoners and some guards.

How do I find sex offenders in my area?

As a young mother or even as a young adult that discovers responsibilities, you should ask yourself more complicated questions than what to wear at the next party. You might look for house improvements, taking responsibilities, and proper social behavior. You should also know that there are many reasons to worry about criminality, and this doesn’t mean to look for Ted Bundy in your neighbor house. However, sex offenders are common these days, so you might ask yourself: How do I find sex offenders in my area?

You might get your answer by a simple Google search, but you might not find all the important dates. This is because usually researching for this might be costly, so the authorities doing this job might want some of their money back. However, don’t worry, as the amount for finding sex offenders in my area could be very low.

First, you should search for some lawsuits about sexual offenders. The accused person might get free because of some legislation-interpreting mistake, but this doesn’t mean that the offended person is not dangerous. Watch his history and find out what is he doing now. Usually private detectives and non-governmental initiatives are doing this, so you will surely need a small amount of money to get that kind of information. Just think at the fact that you are helping them to find more sex offenders in my area by paying them, so your money aren’t lost in vain.

You might also get maps of sex offenders in my area and that is great especially if you are living in a somewhat dangerous neighborhood. Keeping these maps up to date might also be costly. You might find some free maps online, but the most accurate of them are paid. This is also because the investigators will need money for their researches, so don’t be reluctant to pay a little amount for their cause. Be sure to instruct your kid to avoid those people and areas, and make a complete education about foreign persons. Get him to a specialized program if you find this problem important, as they could learn useful things for there. Your kid is not the only person that needs protected for sex offenders in my area, so be sure you know them also. Get a map and information of sex offenders in my area, for a small amount of money and be sure you are protected from any threats.

There is, and always will be, an opposite of all things; lightness and darkness, positive and negative, day and night… good and evil. The question to all criminals is; “how does it feel knowing that you are the opposite of all that is good... and that you are considered to be the lowest form of life on earth…ever?

Criminals are, and always will be, lost… and the lowest forms of life in existence. They have no heart or conscious because they prey upon the innocent, the trusting and kind hearted. They take advantage of anyone who trusts their fellow man and who believes… and who are good.

I have personally looked into the eyes of such people as, Richard Ramirez, Ted Bundy and other infamous criminals who have stepped far beyond the line of evil… gone past normalcy and who have shed innocent blood and I can honestly tell you… that there was no soul in these people. The spirit fled and was gone from them and they appeared to be empty inside. I was truly shocked and stood in awe at what I saw in their eyes.

Warning to all criminals

Even the laws of nature follow rules and know right from wrong. That means that even the lowest form of existence understands that there are laws that cannot be broken… yet… the criminal continues to break those laws.

Let this be a warning to all criminals who feel that committing illegal activity is OK because of survival or any other reason. I promise that there will come a day when you will face your victims, answer for your activity and the reality of your crimes will condemn you… forever.

It isn’t so much the act of committing the actual crime, but the design, the plot and plan behind what you are doing. The lives you are destroying and the destruction that happens afterwards… the tears and pain you cause is what is the most damning.

Hey criminal, does it not matter to you that one day you will face your victims? Does it bother you that one day the truth will come out and you will be exposed? Does it matter that you will pay for what you do and pay, oh so dearly for the pain you cost?

Why not accept this warning and change your ways? Why not do what is right and ask for forgiveness, change your ways and live forever in peace?

Conclusion

Criminals… there is another choice, but it is up to you… take it from one who sees the damage you cause and the tears you make happen in the lives of those who are good. The pain in children who are innocent… who do not know better and in those people who only expected the right and good things to happen in life because they believe in human nature.

I am asking you to have respect and figure out another way to endure… No one owes you… find another way and I promise that life for you will be… OK.

When we hear the term "psychopath", we tend to think of people like Charles Manson and Ted Bundy, the mass murderers and serial killers we see on the news. But most psychopaths seem like regular folks; they blend into normal society and can be termed as "socialized psychopaths" or sociopaths. Generally, you can't identify one until you've gotten to know them quite well.

Have you ever sat in total bewilderment, mulling over some of the things your significant other, friend or co-worker has done or said? Do you find yourself often wondering how they can be so totally oblivious to the pain they cause others or seem so cold and uncaring about what others are going through? It may be that you are involved with a sociopath (or socialized psychopath). Before you get yourself worked up, I must say that sociopaths are generally not potential mass murderers, but a close professional or personal relationship with a psychopath will likely be damaging to the other individual.

Sociopaths are often difficult to spot because they have learned to mimic feelings and emotions by observing those around them. They have a good idea of how most people will react to a certain situation, so they will react in that manner. Without the advantage of watching others, they would have no idea of how to interact with their fellow human beings.

One of the more obvious characteristics of a sociopath is that they give the impression of talking “at” you and not to you. You are really not important, and it doesn’t matter if you are interested in what they have to say. They just have the need to unload their vast “knowledge” on someone and you happen to be the most convenient. They are very self-important, and are willing to use and manipulate others to achieve their own selfish goals. They feel entitled to certain things and have no qualms about lying, cheating or stealing to get those things. In a sexual relationship, you are treated much like a cardboard cut-out or blow-up doll; you are just an object for their personal gratification and your likes or dislikes matter not at all to them.

The next big tip-off is the sociopath’s inability to emotionally connect with others. Sympathy, empathy, and remorse or regret for mistreatment of others are all lost on the sociopathic individual. He (or she) cannot understand your pain or sadness, and any attempt to display emotion or sympathy will come off as contrived and very unconvincing. This is especially true when your emotional turmoil comes at a time that is inconvenient for the sociopath. That is to say, your feelings and need for sympathy are interfering with the things the sociopath is trying to accomplish. Typically, the sociopath wants you to feel sorry for him instead, so that he can use it to his advantage.

Since your garden variety sociopath doesn’t spend much time dealing with feelings or relationships (which take up much of a “normal” person’s time), he is often bored and, therefore, needs constant stimulation. He needs to be going somewhere or doing something all the time. Sometimes this leads to the sociopath taking unnecessary risks in order to garner some excitement in his life. Also, the less time spent being concerned about people and their problems gives the sociopath more time to plot, plan, and scheme about how to get what he wants from his victims.

The sociopath is a natural “taker”. He is never a giver unless, ultimately, the giving results in someone feeling obligated to him. He has no problem leeching off those who care about him. All aspects of life, to the sociopath, are viewed as games to be won at any price.

To date, there are no real treatment options. Most psychologist agree that therapy makes them worse because they use the therapeutic interactions to learn more about human vulnerabilities they can then exploit. They learn how to manipulate better and they learn better excuses that others will believe. The best advice to date is this:

If you are in a relationship with a sociopath; get out as quickly as possible. For a list of traits associated with a sociopath, follow this link:
