Think of all the pictures and descriptions you have seen or read about The Universe. Recall all those starry skies you’ve seen. It really is a wonder. All those galaxies and nebulae: stars growing in clouds of gas, eventually fading or exploding as super novae, to later form new stars. Solar systems forming then dying, generation after generation.

Put aside all your religious beliefs. Just look in child-like awe at that vast expanse of space. It would take one of our current rockets about 80,000 years or so to reach the nearest star to our Sun (Proxima Centauri).

Yet there is one thing that is the crowning glory of this great Universe: Life! Better still, life that is intelligent and sentient. Life that has a brain. Individual beings that are self-aware, empathic, able to think, compose music and who knows what else.

I have often wondered: what is The Purpose of our existence? When I was about eighteen I decided that “Survival” was the first priority. That’s fine as a starter. You have to breathe, drink, eat and be sheltered before you can do anything else. Yet surely we don’t exist just for the sake of existing.

Recently I read that there are some sea creatures which are, biologically speaking, immortal! That’s good, but what do they do with their lives? Something for another blog perhaps.

There has to be a “Higher Purpose” to all this. The best I can say is that Evolution has taken us in a certain direction. In short, Evolution has produced bigger and better brains. Life as we know it is still a work in progress. All we can say is that, collectively, we are aiming for higher intelligence, talent and general mental prowess.

Perhaps in the fullness of time we will produce people who possess telepathy, telekinesis and other mental super-powers. Eventually there may be folk who can make almost anything happen just by thinking things into being.

Who knows what mental powers might evolve in the future? For now, however, all we can do is cherish and encourage all forms of intellect and talent. Our collective “Purpose” is simply to improve things and help people to improve.

Let’s not forget: this also means educating people to be compassionate and loving. A high IQ is little use to someone without good Ethics and Morals. Anyway, IQ is a rather limited measure of intelligence: let’s not restrict ourselves to just that.

Progressive Improvement should be our aim: in the broadest possible spectrum of “human” intellect and emotional development. That is “The Purpose”. I rest my case.

Oh, and before I go: this whole philosophy I call “Lifism”. Sort of “Humanitarianism” Plus. Of course, most good religions contain plenty of Lifism. Yet I would like to think the above is the essence of this philosophy, with no strings attached.

 Paul stood up.  He ran his eye across the hall. Even at the age of 57 he looks horrifying as in 80’s when he was the top hitman of the world.

 “Friends we all know what is going around the globe. When internet and so called information age came we all believed it will benefit us. But  it turns out to be a nightmare for us. We are being watched by Police day and night. Since we all are connected to net at some point or other investigative agencies are finding it easy to eavesdrop on us and collect evidences. In almost all cases reported recently it was the internet which played the villain. So we should find a new medium for communication…. Or else……we are going to have tough time ahead. So………. any ideas? ” 

Nobody was talking .Some low voices here and there.But no one stood up………….

“What about telepathy?” Everyone looked back. It is Robert,the smuggler . 

“You mean like they do in magic” A fat guy asked

“No its not basically magic there is a science behind that. Many people have done research on it”

Paul -“….And any success?”

“I read about  a couple. They started researching in telepathy in 1980. But there was no success initially. So the research institute dropped the project. But the couple did not give up. They spent all their money on this,  went around the world hunting for people who knows about telepathy. And after  so many years long hard work, now they can communicate with each other  using the technique…..Most importantly they can teach others about this.”

Paul-“So how did you know about this?”

“oh It was in the newspapers last week”

“That could be a fake news. Most of them are just fabricated for publicity.”

“Ya may be . But we can give it a try. Since no one have any other solution”

Paul looked around . He knew everyone have accepted that.

“So we will check if they possess such skills. If it is true then………..”

 There are strange happenings that have no explanation. The chance that an individual will come across these strange happenings do appear remote, but that does not detract from the fact that there are men in this world who have powers that cannot be explained. Some men do have  extra sensory perceptions which they have developed themselves or as a gift of god.  How do these men read the mind or look into the immediate future ? I think of these ideas very often. I started to think about it more when I found your new companion. We regularly send messages to each other at the same time. Now, what I mean, why does not he call me, the telephone rings. We say the same things in exactly the same times. We understand each other, side, literally.

In fact, it is feeling pretty good and I believe that this telepathy between two people is quite possible, but only with full confidence and knowledge to each other. And I believe that such telepathy helps a lot to the endless and sincere love between two people.

But what do you think, dear readers, whether it is possible to read thoughts, or mine is just an empty bare coincidences? Perhaps no one has even had the same situation?

As it happens, all of us communicate this way sometimes. For example, you’ve probably picked up the phone intending to call a friend when they call you before you can even finish dialing their number. You may have also had the experience of knowing exactly what someone was thinking, only to have them confirm it when they speak. In some cases, this is just a coincidence, but these are such common occurrences that many suspect that there is more to these phenomena.

One way to keep motivated as you learn to communicate telepathically is to quit while you’re ahead in your practice sessions. When you and your partner have had some success but you’re not yet tired from the mental effort, stop. If you can’t make a telepathic communication in about 15 minutes of trying, then you should set it aside until later.

I think one of the most misunderstood things about the paranormal is that it may be normal. Things we don’t understand and perhaps simply don’t possess the technology yet to be able to fully understand the phenomena out there. If we did, wouldn’t those paranormal investigators be out of a job? Their area of study would just be “normal investigation”, nothing “para” about it. Nevertheless, their work must be done as the modern and mainstream accepted sciences want no part of it for the time being. Whatever is happening across the world, regarding all types of paranormal events and phenomena, it’s pretty clear something is going on. Unless the entire planet is in varying states of hallucination and hysteria, and let’s hope we find out if that’s true if it’s indeed happening…

I present another look at the strange happenings in our world. Perhaps, only the fantastic can be proven by the fantastic. Our world’s ecosystems are interconnected through the efforts of plants, animals, and the world around them to keep the circle of life moving. The paranormal maybe connected in the same way. Connected, both in it’s own separate existence from us, and with us moving in concert with our known ecosystems and life cycles. So, in my approach to this large area of the paranormal, I try to think of ways to connect the dots of the paranormal in such a way that they don’t contradict something else already existing, either in the world as we know it or maybe something that exists to us only in folklore.

To knock a few off the top, the existence of UFOs does not contradict whether the Loch Ness Monster exists or not. Both could co-exist at the same time. Likewise prophets and their prophecies don’t contradict the existance of ghosts. The cryptozoology field itself has a natural basis for everything in it to be true, just undiscovered. In another direction the idea of enhanced consciousness and levels of spirituality naturally contradict nothing in the psychical world. Science is moving in leaps and bounds in certain aspects of this area and it may one day be proven, but for now, telekenesis, telepathy and other mind powers remain in the paranormal category. No “mind power” contradicts any of the above either, it too can exist at the same time. To change directions again, Scottish legends of Little People could fall in a number of categories. It could simply be cryptozoology being a race of pygmies in different areas of the Earth.

It all must be approached with a healthy bit of skepicism of course. There are hoaxed tales and hoaxed evidence to all of the above subjects I listed. The thing to remember is that we’ve got tens of thousands of years of folklore, stories, legends and our modern sights to draw on for information. I believe all the pieces are there to solve some of the puzzle. We just don’t know what the big picture is supposed to look like. The vast majority of this field makes the average person take a leap of faith too far for them most of the time, but if enough people don’t do it, how are we ever to going to the bottom of our planet’s mysteries?

For instance, the prelude that you always fast forward or fast-jump him, so why confuse you anymore. Or old-old-old script that runs after every single game – I know by heart moments and lines, but not move a finger in another direction and it does not remove an extra to change him. And there are …

I had a pet black cat, dead now, I’m sorry to say, whom I gleefully named thirteen, and who delighted in being evil-tempered, living up to his name with everyone he encountered, apart from me, another point that sometimes had neighbors looking sideways at me, as though they felt that I had been born several centuries out of time, for I was surely a male witch and thirteen my devilish familiar, at least that was the impression I sometimes got.

I will not say that I do not harbor certain irrational fears, like the fact of avoiding walking under ladders, or throwing salt over my shoulder if I spill any, but I can give absolutely no sensible reason why I automatically do these things, putting it down to an unsuspected indoctrination, through childhood, from the commanding presence of a mother who was superstitious to the point of paranoia, god bless her, and undoubtedly passed some of that on to her kids.

Logic does indeed dictate that there are things in heaven and earth that defy scientific explanation, and many of these phenomena must have given rise to some odd beliefs, because they could not be explained away. To this day, I will never know how she did it, but the bond between my mother and her kids was so strong that, if one of them got injured, however far away they were, she knew at once what the damage was, and what to do about it, long before the injured party appeared, weeping and wailing.

It must have been some kind of telepathy, but how it worked only heaven knows. Then again, a week before her early death, from a massive heart-attack, she called all six kids, one by one, into her bedroom, to tell them that she was going to die within seven days, that she would be going to a wonderful place, and to foretell the course of their future lives, which she did in every case with uncanny accuracy.

Me she told that I would travel the world, seeing ll that she had wanted to but never could, would marry late, have two kids, one of each, that I should marry three times, not finding happiness, or my artistic muse, until  i was around forty years of age. Every single thing she prophesied came to pass exactly as predicted, and I began writing seriously only after being encouraged to do so by the love of my life, my third wife, whom I met when I was 41 years old.

The two kids, from an earlier, unsuccessful marriage,are well grown now, but I will never know how this gift of second sight, with which my mother was blessed, could have allowed her to so accurately map out my life for me, yet she did.  This is just one of the small, but fascinating anomalies in nature that man still cannot get a handle on, and perhaps he is not meant to yet, for if evolution is an ongoing process, nature may not think humanity yet ready to be shown the true power of the human mind.

It is within that realm of hidden abilities and talents, locked away from our conscious minds, but occasionally breaking through in tiny bursts, that the world of superstition has its foundations. My sincere belief is, that when Gaia determines her human children to have grown up enough to be capable of handling the awesome powers that are currently dormant, she will set them free, but until then, we will still be trying hard not to break mirrors, or understanding the creepy feelings of deja vu that occasionally make us shiver.

As Mulder famously said in the X-files, the truth is out there, but how long it will be before we know it remains to be seen. In the meantime, I shall continue to poke fun at the, to me, ridiculous fear of the number thirteen, aware all the time that walking under that ladder might be the death of me!
