Bomber, Terrorism, Terrorist, Bomber, Sentence, Prison, Al Qaeda.

The man who smuggled a bomb in his underwear aboard a commerical airliner on Christmas Day in 2009 is sentenced to life in prison. This man has pleaded guilty for his role in what officials determined was an Al Qaeda plot. The man was from Nigeria, named Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, who says he wants to take revenge on USA for oppressing and killing innocent Muslims.

The humorous part is that during his sentence Umar argues ” a life time sentence in prison is cruel and unusual punishment, as well as unconstitutional.” So first the man himself is going to bomb a aircraft with over 200 people, and potentially would of killed them is calling the punishment cruel, and were being unconstitutional for saving another future attack from Al Qaeda? Well if this isn’t screwed up then what is, huh.

This man is 25 years old, before had pleaded not guilty to eight charges against him, which include attempt to use a weapon of mass destruction. Theres cruelness in just mentioning to use a weapon of mass destruction on others, just because your what trying to be a constitutional man and divine your own thought?

So you can all decide for yourselves whether this sentence was right or not. I think there should be no trials for these types of matters, because if its caught on tape, with over 100 witnesses on the plane theres no need to hire lawyers, and waste time, just slam down the hammer, and sentence him to life time!

For those who know me and the Cosmic Code jurisdictions, no explanation is necessary; for those who do not, none will ever suffice…

Dr. Turi

Dear Readers;

The merging New Scorpio Dragon’s Head rules power, sex, drama, serial killers, serial rapists, the cops, the FBI, the CIA, secrets information, terrorism etc. Indeed privacy will soon become a story of the past! My visions of such an occurrence, posted last year in my prediction page is becoming a solid reality.

DEATH DRAMA HORROR!

HOW WILL THE DEADLIEST, DRAMATIC, POWERFUL DRAGON WILL AFFECT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE NEXT TWO YEARS?

DHS reading your tweets and Facebook posts? Paul Callan calls it ‘very, very frightening’

“An electronic privacy group has a word of warning: watch what you tweet. Oh, and keep a close eye on your Facebook wall. Why? Well, the Department of Homeland Security might soon be watching–monitoring social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. What are they looking for? Not necessarily signs that you might be involved in terrorism.”

Where ever Pluto or Scorpio is located in your chart anything dramatic and deadly including the police WILL enter and happen to you! The stars do not lie and my predictions are real! Becoming a Cosmic Coder level 3 will prepare you through my 2012 Moon Power book daily guidance and predictions to deal with it, if you can not afford a consultation and avoid the penalty produced by ignorance. Where is Scorpio and where is Pluto in your chart?
Be safe, be aware, be prepared do not become a victim of Pluto!

Prediction #6. Many large financial Corporations will be forced to reevaluate their deceptive maneuvers and methodology. Expect a merging of old and new banks to survive their own financial implosions. New banks, new names, new opportunities and new credit cards technology will flourish after the collapse. A new ID system and secrettechnology produced and sold to unaware consumers will make privacy totally impossible.

Your investment is well worth your life and those of your loved ones…Prayers are never enough and wisdom is your real and only option…

Gary Busey has filed for bankruptcy, a move his rep calls a strategy to help the actor and reality star gain a fresh start. According to documents filed in California on Tuesday, Busey, 67, has less than $50,000 in assets while owing creditors anywhere between $500,000 and $1 million in debts. The decision to file Chapter 7 is part of a larger strategy, Busey’s rep said. ”As with many great American institutions, i.e., General Motors, American Airlines, and others who have utilized the strategic business plan of bankruptcy, Gary’s filing is the final chapter in a process that began a few years ago of jettisoning the litter of past unfortunate choices, associations, circumstances, and events.”

Such a move would enable the actor to head down “a new and clear path toward peace, happiness, and success with his career and his wonderful new soulmate, Steffanie, and their son, Luke.”

Partnerships: This lunation means a great new start, relocation, and a promotion, even the start of a brand new life. Those changing stars do not care about your sadness, guilt or anything else; don’t turn back, move on to your future. Your situation or feelings do not match your wishes; changes must take place. You’ll be glad you did it. Remember life is a constant process of change, so go for it.

Family and Friends: Mom may get in touch with you, and your past is calling you back. The moon will make the children quite emotional; they will need your attention and will be demanding. With the Sun’s vitality invest some time with them and do something special; they will cherish these days in their heart forever. A surprising new involvement with a child or love is ahead of you. A friend surprises you with an invitation; restaurants will be busy, so you’d better make a reservation if you do not want to stand in line for a table.

Love Affairs: Control your feelings about the past and let them lead you towards your future. Some relationship might end with sorrow, but the stars are on your side. Promote your next section of life without delay. Expect some surprises too and go full speed after your desires; anything incredible can happen especially during the weekend and you shouldn’t stay home. These surprises should be positive and unexpected and there is much to gain if you interact with others. Visit friends, socialize or throw a party to celebrate this great solar and lunar energy. It’s time to do your Cabalistic candles ritual, white for the purification of the spirit, green for the purification of the physical, and blue to pray and ask favors of your guardian Angel. Don’t forget to burn some sage and the use of the circle of salt. This lunation has the potential to bring about one of your greatest wishes. Again, don’t waste it, go out there now, push and have faith. If you were born in July, a younger or older person born in January, November or March won’t be able to resist your magnetism.

Travel and Communication: Expect news from brothers and sisters; be part of the action and communicate with those you love. Use plenty words of love and care for others; somehow you’ll be rewarded. Bring your camera; great things and great surprises are imminent.

Environment: Many people are forced to relocate during this celestial energy, sometimes due to nature’s destructive forces. Typhoons and other water disasters are to be expected. Let’s hope the new moon will alleviate drama and make the transition safe for many souls.

Famous Personalities: Famous and powerful personalities will be ending or starting a very important part of their love lives. Some will have finished their work on this physical plane, and will work as guides for whom they cared on earth.

Events: Foreign governments will have to make important decisions soon. This type of energy was present on October 20, 1997- Typhoon Winnie killed 140 people in east China and forced relocation for many. Under the same star pattern, in June 1995, worried about its capital’s growing population, the North Korean government reportedly began moving hundreds of thousands of people out of the city of Pyongyang. DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) – June 2003 – Monsoon floods battering parts of Bangladesh have claimed 45 lives in the past four days, washed away many houses and displaced thousands of villagers. Thus, as predicted in Moon Power for these dates, thousands have and will have to be forced into a new part of their lives due to forced relocation.

Shopping: Only real estate endeavors from your past are protected; a new house bought now could bring much trouble to the new owners. If you do so, make sure to do a candle ritual. Burn white, green and blue candles, and mix them with incense to clean up some psychic residues left behind by disturbed souls. Some of your local stores may also be affected and may rebuild or close down completely.

THU., FRI., SAT., SUN. — FEBRUARY 9, 10, 11, 12:

RULERS —Mercury (Gift of gab/siblings) and Venus (Good taste/sweetheart):

Work, Career and Business: The Moon is now waning (negative), and opportunities to further your position in life will depend on your interaction with others. Social contacts will pay off at a later date if you use Venus’ gentle touch in all you do. Remember the power of your own thoughts; don’t be crippled by your own fears and anxieties, or you may attract setbacks to your life. Go after what you really want and don’t be afraid to communicate your feelings. Expect some deceiving developments soon. Contracts will be signed and will bring great financial rewards if you decide clean up and start again.

Partnerships: Do not assume the worst without first finding all the facts, nor break your spirit by suppressing all faith in your abilities. Mercury could make you talkative; listen to your partner a little more. Keep an open mind and be receptive when direction is being offered, especially if the person in question is older than you. Being patient and working harder to attain your goals is the key. If you are inquisitive enough, secrets of a financial nature may be revealed to you. Important legal paper work to clean up your past may be on the way for you to sign; be confident in doing so as the future has better to offer.

Family and Friends: Use your exceptional insight into the secret motives of a friend close to you and avoid all unnecessary gossip. Be patient and practice diplomacy with loved ones. During a waning moon, Mercury may promote intellectual challenges, even confrontations. Use plenty of words of love to those for whom you care, and keep your eyes on the children. Friends may ask for financial favors; provide help, but watch your own security.

Love Affairs: Those stars above your head are tough, but your knowledge is well placed; use your will in all occasions. The kind-hearted touch of Venus can only alter those nasty stars if you have faith in the right people and yourself. Avoid being too critical about someone you value; no one is perfect, not even you. Learn to love yourself and concentrate on the qualities you and others possess. If you were born in August, an Aries will help you but a Scorpio could be giving you trouble.

Travel and Communication: Venus’ diplomatic powers will be felt in your words and will further many of your requests. Just remember that no one attracts bees with vinegar. Invest in your own thought power and do not expect too much from others. Many souls will be forced to deal with the past and some will have take a long and difficult journey. You will learn about people getting in trouble with the law or getting a divorce soon.

Environment: As usual with the waning Moon expect dramatic news soon with Mother Nature. Let’s hope that with the gentle touch of Venus, nature will be quiet. Many environmentalist groups will be active; some may get out of hand while trying to get their message out.

Famous Personalities: A prominent person will promote a new diet or a specific product. It will use only natural goods and be very eastern in conception. Some will announce health problems.

Events: Some disturbing, even shocking news will arrive soon pertaining to unhappy people willing to start trouble. College students or the post office may make the news.

Reality of terrorism in Pakistan.

democracynow.org – The CIA’s drone campaign targeting suspected militants in Pakistan has killed dozens of civilians who had gone to rescue victims or were attending funerals. So concludes a new report by the London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism. It found that since President Obama took office three years ago, as many as 535 civilians have killed, including more than 60 children. The investigation also revealed that at least 50 civilians were killed in follow-up strikes when they had gone to help victims. More than 20 civilians have also been attacked in deliberate strikes on funerals and mourners. We speak to Chris Woods, award-winning reporter with the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. “We noted that there were repeated reports at the time, contemporaneous reports in publications like New York Times, news agencies like Reuters, like CNN, that there were these strikes on rescuers, that there were reports of an initial strike and then some minutes later, as people had come forward to pull out the dead and injured that drones had returned to the scene and attacked rescues,” Woods says, “We have been able to name just over 50 civilians that we understand have been killed in those attacks. In total, we think that more than 75 civilians have been killed specifically in these attacks on rescuers and on mourners, on funeral-goers.”

A short Article on Terrorism.

I was watching a documentary on the possibility of Parallel Universes and it came to a point where it said that 9/11 in one Parallel Universe would not have been caused by Muslim extremists but by Christian extremists. So this got me thinking about terrorism and how different people view it.

I mean think about it. You get extremists in every organisation from pressure groups such as Greenpeace to Politics. Religion is no exception.

“One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter”

This saying is so true. Yeah they may be terrorists to us but to many others they’ll be extremists fighting for their peoples freedom.

I’ve heard many of the older generation comment on this saying rather racist things about terrorists and how you’d never find a white man doing this. Well they’re wrong aren’t they? I mean what are the Ku Klux Klan if nothing but white terrorists? They terrorise anyone who isn’t white don’t they?
Well what about William Wallace? Yes William Wallace, the famous Scottish Hero and protagonist in the film Brave Heart. Why do mention him? Well to the English was he not a Terrorist? Did he not raid and , plunder may an English town and village? Exactly!

People and the NDAA confuse me, why do people think it says what it does not say?

There are so many people who screamed, and hollered, and yelled that Obama lied, he is a bad president, uncredible, and even the anti-Christ. But as soon as he says something like “Moreover, I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens.” People take it to mean that Obama is telling the truth, and that he is saying that the law actually gives him power to arrest US citizens forever.

First of all, obama also said this in the same speech ”under section 1021(e), the bill may not be construed to affect any “existing law or authorities relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States, or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States.” My Administration strongly supported the inclusion of these limitations in order to make clear beyond doubt that the legislation does nothing more than confirm authorities that the Federal courts have recognized as lawful under the 2001 AUMF.” so what he is saying seems to be “We CAN’T DETAIN US CITIZENS”.

Second of all, he could not detain us anyways because it is against the constitutional rights, and he sure can’t torture us because that’s against the constitution, 4 treaties, and even the power of the UN. No bill that has ever gone through the whole process has ever made the constitution invalid. If that was possible, than Gay Marriage would be more likely to pass over the states constitutional amendments that ban gay marriage. Saying that it is impossible for gay marriage to pass while the constitutional amendments of the states are still there, chances are, they cannot detain us indefinitely under the same rules. This whole “martial law” thing is a joke.

Lastly, the LAW, NDAA 2012 law, states that it will only arrest non-citizen, terrorist suspects. Especially those involved in the twin tower bombings. They quite plainly say, many times in this law, that it does not effect citizens or legal aliens.

Even if Obama said up front that it gave him the power to arrest American citizens, does not make it so. We had presidents say terrible things about homosexuality, abortion, war, but just because they said that does not make it a fact. The facts lie within the law! And if it was unconstitutional, the supreme court would have already struck it down by now.

Our government cannot agree on anything, so it seems crazy and delusional to think that they all banded together to agree to detain random American citizens for no good reason. The NDAA does not say it, Obama did not say it, and the supreme court did not say it… and there is laws and regulations against it… so why do you believe it?

SOPA & PIPA displayed some very dangerous miscommunications fortunately democracy’s light shone again. Social networking actions cast a light protecting U.S. civil society, leadership and economy.

It was no surprise a return re-established principals of U.S. Government. The internet a free domain the last frontier among many American’s and those around the world presents opportunity for employment. No, where else does it produce more success stories that even pre-teens become millionaires at great ease that many chose mastering access. There presently exists nowhere else costing a cup of latte one can begin operate a web page for business or personal pursuits. Such a low investment all is needed are ones creative energy and the world is your oyster at end of your fingertips. Unfortunately, like any domain there exist an opportunity that overshadows this positive stimulating force for the global economy. A presence committing criminal acts like in any social disease that exists anywhere in society and at any time in our history.

The bills SOPA endorsed into legislation via (Rep) Lamar Smith intent to curb copyright infringement was an engrossed sloppy written form of policy in order to end piracy – it required that sanctions to end distribution once informed by copyright holders to stop or end distribution ones known. What the bill truly enacted was punishment without due diligence. The U.S. hold little true jurisdiction outside current international laws to prosecute foreign nationals that pirate material but they do have the ability to prosecute those subjected such as internet providers, website holders the nature or environment to do so. Including permitting imprisonment and sue for injunctive relief.

The bills PIPA endorsed into legislation via (Dem) Senator Patrick Leahy intent to curb copyright infringement via foreign piracy acts that would order website holders to shut down offending links and enabled if the original distributor via foreign operators couldn’t be acquired to serve reparations the a filing can be served against the party or parties involved not limited to the website but may include internet provider and other site advertisers in conjunction with the posting of infringed property.

Both bills in no terms offers reprieve of egregious miss-service upon the U.S. Information Technology Industry though developed protecting intellectual property revenues and employment for the U.S for copyright, trademarks and intellectual property industries. Both bills endanger employment creation and revenue market growth of the U.S. IT industry. Despite purposes it either unintentionally creates a hostile takeover for free market economic trade development. As in prior distribution of foreign generated properties were licensed for distributed via Motion Picture Industry, Recording Arts Industry or Publishing Industries of the United States. New technology now provides the vehicle for the Information Technology Industry to provide the same operations at more competitive cost enabling opportunities once limited many foreign markets from freely engaging in global marketization.

These bills had the potential reducing global market share equality and reducing new domestic and foreign policies for economic stability. The worst foresight retracting current practices of economic free trade agreement contracts already in effect. This not only limits free trade but also a corridor of non-profit activities into stabilizing reach as well as increased investments into already pressed undeveloped global markets in dire need of capital injections. It will reduce the ability of unused resources either products or employment opportunities to generate new revenues.

The one feature that these bills do encourage is illegal free market opportunities such as possible infrastructure avenues for criminal and terrorism funding acts. Upon the nature of both bills that if a responsible party enacting the activity not acquired then the target as responsible contributor via international piracy the Information Technology Industry and third party investors. This further distorts protection of revenues and employment opportunities for the U.S. via direct attack of the U.S. IT sector toward events such as extortion/blackmail or terrorism via massive hackers attacks. Grievously discriminates judicial rights towards damage reparations and protection was not language into either bills toward the U.S.IT sector due to deliberate or criminal intents. A very gross ill conceive oversight upon both bills that may damage foreign investments into the U.S. economy via our IT Sector as it destabilizes confidence providing services and investment or future economic growth.

One piece of wording that seems very disturbing is yes there are international copyright/patent and intellectual property laws that are tied in with sanctions against a nation in foreign trade agreements that don’t comply but PIPA enlist the fundiing and training of special agents plus support staff, it is no secret some speeches on national security via Leon Panetta have been in regards the greatest terrorist threat “Internet Security” yet these broaches or enables this area of attack creating a due cause of reactive backdoor policy for targeting hackers in foreign countries in possible sting operations. The wording is there for the potential devices enable homeland security deliberate intent or backdoor policy for a threat to occur. This would be a good frontal assault against terrorism and attacking operations such as Wiki-Leaks or other whistle-blowing internet content offering defamatory content. The possible language enables damaging diplomatic relations around the world creating a tactic known as arsonist hero syndrome policy.

There is language slightly suggestive requiring internet providers a course of severe actions self-policing users beyond normal committing crimes against privacy engaging in unwarranted monitoring that deeply implies as a medium search and seizure conduct on part of any internet provider in order to protect business operations as they hold also accountable to third-party business which include advertisers in all industries subjected to lawsuits or prevention of counter lawsuits hedging loss. The very threat shutdowns and retribution lawsuits are conducive enough encouraging law-breaking via internet providers for self-preservations.

This language via both bills are too lucidly dangerous that would creating issues not solutions endangering various industry sectors against another stripping other third party market shares in content advertisement among all economic sectors. The means forceful attributes another potential vehicle enabling hidden funding toward backdoor policies the PIPA Bill endorses in criminal justice prosecution costs. Now if the language or either of these bill s were less an issued with industry against industry discrimination at the cost of taxpayers. It would not have received a massive negative response as many knows the proverb “the big print provides but the little print takes away.”

This oversight was not ignored via internet content providers, contributors and users. The positive influence that did result in these bills was the reigniting democratic process where minority and majority voiced sovereignty. Leadership failed identifying IT sector has unlimited boundaries: government, non-profits, e-commerce, and consumer finance. Overshadowing architectural social infrastructures enable networking among peers creating co-ops, unions and joint corporations re-establishing economic security. Networks structured under various region demographics and unlimited industry sectors would be impacted. The internet provides an opportunity small business, large corporations and non-profits toward collaborative effort towards larger market shares in job contracts or re-aligning aid more effectively around the world.

In effect the pulling of both bills achieved one action a message safe guarding from faults and protecting our democracy. Despite naysayers attacking our petitions as feeble minded stunts the blinded passionate self-preservation for intellect property couldn’t see that we protected them from the stumble in a blackout. The beauty displayed through “We the People” defined a new registry of watch dogs servicing democracy. Wise investment the users, content contributors and business operators pushed so determined for not impeding anti-piracy but restructuring both bills. Arguably viewed as hacking our federal government they missed paradigms addressing intellectual attributes exist beyond traditional industry.

There exists a new economic player no longer a tool utilized solely for business and government as a desktop calculator. It was close call sacrificing opportunities overlooked in a disparaging economy and sacrificing international economic relations or international diplomacy. Seeking future political dockets for concise language that doesn’t imply conjectual communications that even foreign nations took notice with great alarm. Yes, there are negative issues browsing global networks closing communications ends future global economic success as lost dreams in the dark. Despite foreign piracy and terrorism many foreign nations still view the U.S .as the beaconing light for opportunity, hope and democracy that is the light a few screens desire never go dark!

The West should not have allowed Muammar Gaddafi to be murdered in cold blood.

It is hard to feel much sympathy for Col Muammar Gaddafi, despite the fact that his end was gruesome even by the brutal standards of the Arab world. Now that the Libyan dictator has been laid to rest in his anonymous Saharan grave, we can safely discount the interim government’s initial assertion that he was killed by crossfire when his captors came under attack as they made their way to a hospital in Misurata. The grim truth is that Gaddafi was murdered in cold blood, after his captors had indulged in an orgy of violence against his defenceless person, including sexual assault. So much for the brave new world of democracy that David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy promised us once he had been removed from power.

Given Gaddafi’s well-documented support for international terrorism and his savage repression of his own people, the instinctive response of many of us will be that he had it coming. Moreover, the vengeful justice meted out by his captors means that we will be spared the discomfiting spectacle of Gaddafi standing trial for war crimes at the Hague, where embarrassing questions were sure to surface. Mr Cameron has had much sport at Tony Blair’s expense over his dalliance with the Libyan despot. But only last November, the Coalition sent a high-level military delegation to Tripoli to negotiate an arms deal: among the numerous items on Gaddafi’s shopping list were high-velocity sniper rifles.

Gaddafi’s demise is convenient for all concerned. Western leaders can sleep secure in the knowledge that their indiscretions will not be exposed, and the newly liberated Libyans can get on with the business of rebuilding their country, free from his baleful shadow. Who now cares that the killing of Gaddafi amounts to a war crime, and that the perpetrators should be brought before the International Criminal Court? That, after all, was the fate that awaited Gaddafi, had he survived the chaotic journey to Misurata, after his summary executions of anti-government protesters earlier this year.

Last night, the country’s new rulers suggested that Gaddafi’s killers would be put on trial. Let’s hope they’re as good as their word. For apparently, we find that the rebels have conducted their own summary executions. Apart from murdering Gaddafi and his son Mutassim, the rebels are accused of killing 53 loyalist fighters whose bodies were found in Sirte with their hands bound behind their backs and a single bullet wound to their heads. There are fears that hundreds more may have suffered a similar fate. Yet no one in London or Paris is making any serious demands that the perpetrators be called to account. All that really matters is that Gaddafi’s regime is history, and that the task of rebuilding Libya can now begin in earnest.

A similar disregard for the norms of international justice was evident last May, with the assassination of Osama bin Laden. The testimony subsequently provided by the team of US Navy Seals that carried out the daring raid on his hideaway in Pakistan demonstrated unequivocally that they had no interest in capturing the world’s most wanted man. From the moment they landed at his Abbottabad lair, they had a single objective – to kill bin Laden. As with Gaddafi’s death, no one questioned whether President Obama, who personally sanctioned the “kill” mission, had acted illegally. What counted was that bin Laden was no more, and the world was a far better place without him.

Another example of the West’s growing appetite for extra-judicial killing was evident in the recent drone attack in Yemen that killed Anwar al-Awlaki, the al-Qaeda mastermind behind a number of plots, including the infamous underwear bomb in Detroit in late 2009. On this occasion, questions were raised about the mission’s legality, not least because the victim happened to hold American citizenship. But the human rights lobby’s assertion that Mr Obama had broken the law by ordering the assassination of a US citizen made little headway against the majority view that a significant threat to America’s national security had been eliminated.

Indeed, so long as human rights activists seem more concerned with upholding the interests of terrorists at the expense of governments trying to protect their citizens from attack, public support for such extra-judicial killings will only increase. In Britain, the Home Secretary was recently forced to release two British Taliban suspects after they were apprehended by an SAS team in Afghanistan. The two were accused of planning bomb attacks against Britain, but were released when human rights lawyers threatened to challenge the Government’s actions in the courts. Theresa May had no alternative other than to let them go.

Cases such as this make the argument for increased drone strikes against terrorist targets all the more attractive. As one senior security official told me: “What’s the point risking your life to capture these people, if they’re going to be set free within a few days?” The public’s tacit support for summary justice is reflected in its unquestioning acceptance of the killings of pariahs such as Gaddafi and bin Laden.

Sadly, it could also lead to more trouble in the years to come. As we know from Guantanamo, the failure to observe proper legal procedures can become a gift horse for the human rights lobby, with a number of former British detainees having recently become millionaires as a result of their detention.

When it comes to taking out the bad guys, I fully support the heroic efforts of all those involved in tackling terrorists and rogue dictators. But I also want us to make sure that all the actions we take are legally justified. Otherwise, we are storing up a multitude of problems for the future.

Timelines are always good ways to understand important events in history, especially when it comes to revolutions. If we look back at European history, we can see almost exact correlations between the 1848 revolutions and those happening in the Middle East today. With the success of the American and French revolutions in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, everyone followed these as models to revolt against their oppressive governments. Each revolution sparked a new one in another country; however, very few of these revolutions succeeded. The most notable of which that succeeded was Greece’s separation from the Ottoman Empire (with the aid of other European powers).
European and East Asian countries, as well as the U.S, have kept a still tongue on the topic of the Middle Eastern protests. With a majority of the world’s oil coming from that area, as well as the necessity of the Suez Canal for oil and other trades, taking sides on such a sensitive subject could prone disastrous for each country’s foreign policy if they choose the wrong “side” to be on. Not only that, but the sensitive information held by these crumbling governments could cause further polarization and dissent within the world economy and world conflicts.
The beginning of protests and demonstrations began in Tunisia on December 17, 2010, later intensifying in January, with more Tunisian revolts and thousands of protesters calling for Mubarak’s removal in Egypt. These, and other oppressive governments refused to let their power go, as they sent out loyalists to fight the protesters. Tunisian’s early protests began a regional dissension with the governments in the Middle East, pre-empting Egypt’s first protests on January 16.
Egyptians were inspired by the Tunisian revolts, and ultimately called for the end of Hosni Mubarak’s 30 year dictatorial. After weeks of constant bombardment of protests, Mubarak was taken out of office on February 11, leaving the military in control of Egypt.
Algerian protestors planned a march on their parliament building, yet were met with Algerian police blockades which injured 42 activists. Many other protests have been evolving since and continue from the problems created by the 1992 civil war.
Bahrain, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories, Sudan, Syria, Oman, and Yemen citizens who were fed up with their governments and did not trust them used previous and still occurring revolutions to fuel their own protests. Of course, with the world watching and hoping for the best, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has signed a deal under which he will step down after months of unrest in Yemen.[1] Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi had been killed in action by the Rebel troops, where the new governmental system is beginning to take place, and Tunisia has already casted its first election.
Recently, Libya and South Sudan have gained their independence from their oppressive regimes. South Sudan splitting from Sudan was probably the most notable event to occur, as before, the Genocides in Darfur were an untouchable problem to the international community due to the anarchic state of the world. This means that Sudan was its own sovereign problem, and any Governmental attempts to intervene would be a violation of Sudan’s sovereignty. Since the split, the International community (including NGOs and IGOs) has been able to pledge their support of the oppressed South Sudan. Because South Sudan now exists as its own sovereign power, it has the ability to ask for and receive aid from the international community. Libyan rebels had confirmed the death of Gadhafi around a month or so ago, and have been on the fast track to starting up their Islamic infused Liberal Republic government system. As previously stated, Tunisia has already had their first elections and the world is very optimistic about the outcome of the first Islamic state to obtain its independence.

The odd thing about the entire Arab Spring is that Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has voiced his favorable opinions of the protestors (who can also be seen as a model by the Occupy movements all across the world); however, Ahmadinejad has proven to be hypocritical as he is not a legitimate ruler. Not counting the voter fraud, Iran’s president really only has power over Kabul (because of the government’s weak and unstable structure), as well as being oppressive (cutting out people’s internet, phone, TV, etc…), but he is blatantly hiding behind the idea that because Iran has “elections” that it is a democracy; when in reality it isn’t a true Democracy per it’s major modern influence, Emmanuel Kant, who authored the Democratic Peace Theory. His writings state that a Liberal Republic (I.e. – the US) consists of a separation of powers, Independent judiciary, and individual rights honored. By all means Iran fails this mold, and only further shows Ahmadinejad’s illegitimacy.

Last but not least, Pakistan – possibly the biggest threat to the world today. The major problem we have is how to deal with this uncooperative state in the midst of it being a nuclear state. The Middle East, in general, has had a long history of being exploited for various resources and political reasons by the European and Western worlds. These, as well as the uncontrollable economic, cultural and political forces of Globalization have ended up severely infringed on not only the sovereignty of these states, but also the traditional Islamist culture they wish to keep. While many embrace the various aspects of Globalization; however, various factions and political leaders have taken this nationalist spirit to an extreme via a backlash of globalism. These backlashes have resulted in instability in nearly all aspects of government, as well as spikes in violent protest (a.k.a. – terrorism). While terrorism can be born regardless of state or nationality, Pakistan stands out among the crowd. Considering the aid received from various nations in Pakistan’s quest for independence from India (succeeding via the Partition of India in 1947); one would think with such international support that Pakistan would be more stable and peaceful.[2] Despite the long-term attempts to have peaceful, diplomatic relations with Pakistan, it remains the epicenter of dealing with terrorism, as well as one of the most violent, unstable nations there is.[3] [4] As Pakistan remains a nuclear power, along with containing 15 nuclear power sites within its borders, the international community therefore must carefully craft their approach to this unstable state.[5] While many argue that violence / military action is the only way to deal with people like this[6], a full scale war would prove to be disastrous in the end (note the aforementioned nuclear missiles). We, instead, must use diplomatic means of re-structuring the Pakistani government’s egregious world goals. Various economic and militaristic sanctions, revoking certain privileges granted by the U.N., along with keeping a “close eye” on the internal machinations of the Pakistani government are very possible alternatives to combat.

In the end, I would argue that most people in the world would rather see an internationally aided Pakistan revolution than continuing with the status quo. The benefits of such exponentially outweigh the drawbacks, despite claims by many media outlets (i.e. – Fox News) that the Muslim Brotherhood and/or terrorists would take the place of the fallen, corrupt regimes. However, this could not and will not happen, as according to polls in Egypt, such groups have approval ratings close to that of Hosni Mubarak’s 10%.[7] With Democratic policies setting in among the Arab Spring states, Tunisia already casting its first election, it is reasonable to believe that these people are much better off now than they were at the beginning of 2011, and the same could be said for Pakistan. As long as the international community continues to send the message to Pakistan that their pro-terrorist/militant agenda will not be tolerated, the gears of Revolution will continue to turn, and hopefully, revolution can spark and replace this corrupt and unstable government, with a new international ally, trading partner, and peacekeeper. Also considering the amount of money the world has pumped into an unwilling and immovable Pakistan, a new, Liberal Republic government could soothe the economic pains of those who loaned money by re-gaining control of their share of OPEC, the Nuclear sites and missiles. This wouldn’t only calm the fears of oil sanctions on the international community (by a corrupt Pakistan) but it would greatly reduce the international security and safety risk with more transparency and better anti-terrorism measures in place.

An analysis and views on Pakistan as a world and nuclear power. I look at Pakisan's long history and how events up to now have shaped who they are as a state today, and how we can solve such problems as a global community.

The Middle East, in general, has had a long history of being exploited for various resources and political reasons by the European and Western worlds. These, as well as the uncontrollable socioeconomic, cultural and political forces of Globalization have ended up severely infringed on not only the sovereignty of these states, but also the traditional Islamist culture they wish to keep. Considering the aid received from various nations in Pakistan’s quest for independence from India (succeeding via the Partition of India in 1947); one would think with such international support that Pakistan would be more stable and peaceful. Despite the long-term attempts to have peaceful, diplomatic relations with Pakistan, it remains the epicenter of dealing with terrorism, as well as one of the most violent, unstable nations there is.[1] As Pakistan remains a nuclear power, along with containing 15 nuclear power sites within its borders, the international community therefore must carefully craft their approach to this unstable state. While many argue that violence is the only way to deal with people like this, I argue that a full scale war would prove to be disastrous in the end (note the aforementioned nuclear missiles).

A majority, if not all, of these aforementioned problems can be attributed to the pseudo-Democratic system (or Federal Parliamentary republic) that Pakistan has in place. This governmental system is similar to that of China and Iran, where it appears to be a “Democracy,” but it isn’t the kind of democracy we typically think of, which is a Liberal Republic.[2] Pakistan (and other states) uses this façade to trick states that provide economic and military aid to not think twice about where the money is going to or to whom. Now this statement has gradually become less true as intelligence agencies within the major European and Western powers have discovered the corruption and misuse of money. In 2008, an anonymous tip to The Guardian news reported that probably around $3.8 Billion of U.S. aid alone were wasted or misspent by the Pakistani Government, which is calculated around 70% of the aid given between 2002 and 2007.[3] While the U.S. has been the major source of aid to Pakistan, they have also taken large loans from IGO’s and NGO’s such as the IMF, Election Support Group (ESG) and the U.K.[4] [5] [6] [7] While more and more money goes to the Pakistani government for anti-terrorism measures, we continue to see substantially less amounts of it going where it’s supposed to. In conjunction, we’ve also seen a rise in the amount of terrorists crossing in and out of Pakistan, or in Osama Bin Laden’s case, living there peacefully in a large house for 5 years right next to a major military base in Abbottabad.

As far as Anti-Terrorism goes, the Pakistani government has been not only lying about intelligence pertaining to whereabouts of terrorists wanted worldwide, but they had duped most of the world into believing it, as every time the US or India accused Pakistan of giving terrorist groups a safe-haven, they denied it.[8] Despite the overbearing evidence found from Operation “Neptune Spear” about Pakistani links to Osama Bin Laden, intelligence on other terrorists in Pakistan, etc… Pakistan still denies it’s involvement in aiding terrorists, and they, along with Fidel Castro[9], Ismail Haniyeh[10], and Amnesty International[11], condemned the international community (and the US itself) for allowing the U.S. to violate its sovereignty and assassinate people within its borders. Attorney General Eric refuted this by stating the killing was done in national self-defense, especially after Bin Laden took the blame for the 9/11 massacre of 3,000 peoples. As aforementioned, Pakistan has become substantially more and more aggressive with the international community, and seemingly gave up all stakes in the fight against terrorism. The fact that the U.S. had to keep this raid almost a complete secret among its own government, allies, and Pakistan[12] leads to the conclusion that Pakistan is not to be trusted, especially when considering that Pakistan ‘gave China access’ to the downed US prototype stealth helicopter used in the raid.[13] Not only did Pakistan go behind the entire world’s back by knowingly or (unlikely) unknowingly harboring terrorists, but they also obviously cannot be trusted with money, as seen by reckless spending of Anti-terrorist loans/funds, or information. Contrary to Pakistani claims that US intervention is the sole facilitating force of terrorist growth in the region, AFPAK foreign policy news notes that terrorist groups like the LeJ, LeT, and LeM existed long before US and European involvement.[14]Because of the corrupt nature of this government, it’s not a problem of lack of aid, because there is plenty of military and economic aid being pumped into Pakistan by the IMF and other countries. The unstable and corrupt government is the major problem that has, and continues to be a constant threat to not only their historical enemy, India, but the entire world.[15]

If abusing anti-terrorist aid, aiding terrorists wanted worldwide, and being an overall aggressive and corrupt state wasn’t enough, Pakistan has been a Nuclear power since 1972, and contains around 15 Nuclear (power) sites within its borders.[16] This recently became a very hot topic worldwide when GOP Presidential Candidate Michelle Bachman quoted Goldberg & Ambinder’s (writers for Atlantic Monthly) report in their Pakistan dispatch. According to them, at least six of Pakistan’s nuclear facilities have been targeted by terrorists, and that (according to satellite imagery & other sources) there are at least 15 other plants around Pakistan in which jihadists can obtain some kind of nuclear materials or even warheads.[17] Bachman, along with President Obama, and other world leaders have acknowledged this very real threat, and because of the nuclear nature of this situation, every move made by a state towards Pakistan must be done ever so carefully.[18] China especially believes that nearly any type of deficiency of international support in Pakistan would imperil the entire stability of the state.[19] Pakistan’s growing violent tendencies is further proved by their direct backing of the Afghan Taliban-allied Haqqani network linked to the September 13th attack on the US in Kabul.[20] The fact that a nuclear state with a corrupt government and weak nuclear security is aiding terrorists isn’t only a US or India problem, it’s a real immediate international threat.

As I mentioned earlier, while the international community (including numerous IGOs and NGOs) have given vast amounts of economic, humanitarian, and military aid to Pakistan, most of it has been misused and poorly appropriated. Over the years, numerous countries have become pessimistic and therefore unwilling to pay their dues for peacekeeping in the UN. Recently, the UN and IGO/NGOs has generally stayed passive and seemingly unwilling to intervene in Pakistan, mainly because they have yet to find a course of action that would take the neocolonialism aspect out of humanitarian interventions, and therefore a possible violation of sovereignty. In the past, states have attempted to use sanctions against an unwilling Pakistan (per India’s request) to change the course of governmental actions; however, they seem to have failed as Pakistan still has direct links to supporting internal and external militant groups.[21] [22] [23] It would be ideal if there was an entire restructuring of the government via some sort of revolution by the people, akin to that of the Arab spring. In light of the Arab spring, it seems that a large amount of people in North Africa/the Middle East are keen to the idea of Democracy now with the expanse of the social networking capabilities. Using our own, NATO, UN, or diplomatic means to persuade the people to revolt against their corrupt government, again, is ideal; however the problem lies within keeping the current regime from undermining those efforts and retaliating. Many Europeans and Westerners argue that the age-old campaign of attempting to push Democracy in the Middle East will not work; however, that is not the case. It is quite clear that a real Democracy can be born and thrives from and by the people as seen by the Arab spring.[24]

Using the Arab Spring as the example again, the decades old dictatorial and corrupt governments fell to the will of the people. I believe that the educating of the Pakistani people of Democracy and the other successful movements across the Middle East can change the old consensus to want a removal of the current regime. Much like the Libyan campaign of NATO and other economic and militaristic forces aiding the rebels, success can be guaranteed with the same kind of fervor for a Liberal Republic. A way to accomplish this would be more harsh economic and militaristic sanctions (internationally enforced) on the current Pakistani government to not only get the gov’t to act more for its people, but to show the Pakistani people that their government isn’t doing things for their best interest, and rather the world has had to pick up its slack. Like the Arab Spring revolutions, we would need to instill a sense of Nationalism and Globalism at the same time in the Pakistani people so they not only have a sense of community within their borders to want their Government to be more responsive and helpful, but also feel that they are welcome in the Global world today. Some, like Senator Lindsey Graham, argue that this government is too corrupt to negotiate with, and military action must be used in order to end their aiding of terrorists.[25] While we did have to go behind Pakistan’s back to use military force against Osama Bin Laden and kill known terrorists, no state can risk a war with Pakistan, as its nuclear capabilities in the hands of terrorists, or the current government is too large of a risk for large casualties. Not only that, but if the current regime were to fall via war, Terrorist cells would easily be able to infiltrate and obtain nuclear weapons.[26] The proper approach would be for negotiations, sanctions, UN, NATO, US and other states enforcing their presence in Pakistan to act better, and/or whipping up a revolutionary movement.

I would argue that most people in the world would rather see an internationally aided Pakistan revolution than continuing with the status quo. The benefits of such exponentially outweigh the drawbacks, despite claims by many media outlets (i.e. – Fox News) that the Muslim Brotherhood and/or terrorists would take the place of the fallen, corrupt regimes. However, this could not and will not happen, as according to polls in Egypt, such groups have approval ratings close to that of Hosni Mubarak’s 10%.[27] With Democratic policies setting in among the Arab Spring states, Tunisia already casting its first election, it is reasonable to believe that these people are much better off now than they were at the beginning of 2011, and the same could be said for Pakistan.

Which of these three is the worst tyrant in the history of the world? Using the allegory, Animal Farm by George Orwell, this paper explains the savagery of all three and leaves you to decide which is the worst of all time.

Tyrannical leaders similar to Napoleon led their countries into times of war, despair, and economic depression, and during these times the people’s quality of life deteriorated significantly. Although they may differ in their methods used to rise to power, dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Muammar al-Qaddafi abused their political power and forcibly oppressed their citizens to make irrational decisions that brought harsh repercussions.

First used by the Ancient Greeks, the term tyrant commonly refers to a violent, ruthless, and unreasonable ruler who independently gains absolute control over his nation and uses a multitude of different strategies to gain supporters which become loyal to the tyrant (Tyrants). Under this definition, Napoleon of Animal Farm can easily be proven to be a tyrannical mastermind as he also came to power by force rather than election. In addition, he exercises the use of propaganda with the help of Squealer to trick the less intelligent animals into believing that conditions were improving as they were obviously becoming much worse than before Napoleon ruled. Much like this method, some politicians may use false promises of restoring peace, granting freedom, or solving economic problems to procure a large number of followers (Tyrants). This utilization of misinformation and trickery is simply one of many tactics which tyrants employ to increase their authority and control. After coming into power, by using the manipulation of propaganda and the blind loyalty of many supporters, a tyrant can pass his or her own rules or amend existing ones to further establish their dominance over the people. Most of the time, the new regulations would only benefit the oppressive ruler and ultimately cause the circumstance of life for common people to plummet (Tyrants). In the course of history, infamous authoritarians such as Adolf Hitler have used these tactics to assert themselves as tyrants and hurled their nations into times of anguish and hardship.

Early in his life, Hitler became intrigued with the ideas of anti-Semitism and mass political manipulation. These beliefs are what enabled him to quickly escalate his social status until he created the Nazi party in 1932 and received enough recognition that President Hindenburg appointed Hitler as chancellor (Adolf). He made great use of his enormous support base by eliminating all other political rivals and then appointing himself as Fuhrer when the president finally died (Thomson). During charismatic and motivational speeches, Hitler made promises to fix the economic problems Germany was faced with from the depression, (promises which he would not keep). He exploited these fabricated assurances to keep the nation loyal while established his own police force and an immense system of propaganda, which allowed him to achieve complete control (Adolf). With these in effect, Hitler was free to do as he pleased while the people were unaware of his decisions, causing very little opposition. As the economy remained in a global depression, Hitler had no way of restoring stability and therefore he blamed Jewish people as a scapegoat for all the complications which he could never fix. His Nazi party which he created to gain many of his followers supported this nationalist plan, and the persecution of Jews throughout Germany soon ensued (Thomson). Using his propaganda system, Hitler convinced the people of Germany that they would need to prepare for war, and then six million unemployed citizens were put to work. The erratic decision for Hitler and his brainwashed army of Nazi soldiers to invade many nearby countries in Europe caused world a war to be waged on Germany. As Hitler and his army campaigned across Europe, conquering huge amounts of territory, he employed his “final solution” plan to imprison and kill all the Jews in each new land he took under his control (Adolf). This had major effects on the people as the Green Police shut down all Jewish businesses and worked to instill fear in the citizens. As Hitler and the Nazis made their way into the Soviet Union, they were faced with such heavy opposition from the Red Army that he recruited everyone from young boys to old men into battle with very little training (Thomson). As many people began to see how Hitler’s plans were causing conditions to sink tremendously, assassination attempts were conducted by some of his highest military officers. This internal disunity caused enough turmoil for the American soldiers to invade Germany, eventually conquering Berlin and brought the war to an end (Adolf). Hitler’s inability to successfully come through with his plans shows how tyrants’ ineffective manners of authority lead to disastrous outcomes, not only for the tyrant, but for the entire nation.

While some rulers slowly evolve into tyrants using manipulation, others quickly establish themselves as corrupted and irrational leaders, but usually both ways cause a similar end result. Muammar al-Qaddafi, a pious Muslim and Arab nationalist, began plotting to overthrow the Libyan king as early as when he graduated from college. He entered the military and speedily climbed through the ranks, until in 1969 a group of officers and he seized the king’s monarchy and took control for themselves. Qaddafi was pronounced the commander-in-chief of armed forces and chairman of the new governing committee, the Revolution Command Council (Muammar). He immediately began employing his radical nationalist ideals by creating many harsh and restrictive rules which conveyed his personal Islamic principles. Policies such as the removal of foreign military bases, expulsion of Jews and Italians, monopolizing other countries’ oil resources and a ban on alcohol were approved without consensus from the Libyan citizens. This caused Libya to be partially isolated by those Qaddafi wronged and made the Libyan citizens suffer trade implications and some sanctions to be placed (Wallechinsky). After 1974, Muammar was becoming more known in the international prospect for his erratic and unpredictable actions. He began financing a wide range of terrorist organizations and had teams of Libyan agents go to murder exiles in foreign countries (Muammar). Qaddafi’s increasing terrorist activity brought growing conflict with the United States government and in 1986 British warplanes bombed several cities in Libya, killing or injuring multiple civilians while they were attempting to kill him (Wallechinsky). Other such acts which caused his people to suffer was the establishment of cleansing committees, which were originally intended to help people in the workplace be equal. Instead, the groups operated to identify and kill anyone who opposed Qaddafi and could make an attempt to revolt (Muammar). Muammar al-Qaddafi was quick to develop tyrannical behaviors and abuses his power to oppress his people, while only focusing on his own values, which causes the populace to suffer greatly.

While tyrants and dictators both establish themselves into rule by ways of deceit, half truths, and military utilization, the natures of their rules are radically different though they both result in deteriorated living conditions for the people. Such as how Hitler used the Great Depression to gain supporters and then caused World War II to destroy most of Germany. Similarly, Muammar Qaddafi overthrew the government using his military control and when he came into power he allied himself with terrorists, which brought forth destructive bombings on Libya. They both made unreasonable decisions which brought harm to their people when they were only focused on furthering their power and trying to accomplish personal goals.
