Recently I was around a little girl in the neighborhood. She was sitting in the dirt with a garden trowel. She was digging with the trowel and throwing dirt over her head. Actually, she was spilling half the dirt in her hair.

I inquired as to what she was doing. She stated she was looking for some buried treasure. She said, “you know, like the pirates have.” So I asked her if the treasure was like a new pink dress. She said yes enthusiastically. It was obvious to me that she had no idea what buried treasure was.

To me, treasure is the freedom to live with the person you care dearly for. Of course they aren’t buried. But no one, hopefully, would want to steal my treasure. Dogs have the perfect buried treasure in a bone. We once owned a dog that would bury her bones for later enjoyment. If you were watching her out the window when she was burying a bone, she would dig it back up and move it. It was no wonder there were paths of dirt all around the fence edge of the backyard. At least you knew where you could safely walk. And we probably lost at least two lawnmowers in that backyard due to hitting bones with the blade.

Traditional buried treasure brings to mind old coins and pile of precious jewels. Modern day pirates are certainly not likely to score such a good haul. I believe most everyone’s life is full of treasure if you know where to look. Treasure is in the eye of the beholder, Do you know your treasure and where it is?

My life as a woman what would you do and say on the behalf of all partner's.

One of the most life-affirming, love-enriching messages you can send to your loved one is the message,”I treasure you.”

When someone knows they are treasured, they feel important and valued. This encourages them to treasure you back, to remain loyal and loving, and to feel as though your relationship is satisfying. When you get right down to it, letting someone know they are treasured is one of the greatest compliments you can give–and one of the best ways to say”I love you.”

The best way to let someone know you treasure them is, you guessed it, to tell them. Be sure to let your partner know, frequently, what you like about them. Be specific. If you like their smile, their laugh, something they do, whatever, let them know. Don’t make the mistake

of assuming that your partner already knows what you like– they may not. You may not have told them for a long, long time.

One of the by-products of letting your partner know that you treasure them is that the positive aspects of your relationship are reinforced and strengthened. Your focus on your partner’s positive traits, habits, and behavior keeps your attention on what’s right with your relationship and what you enjoy about each other.

It helps you dismiss the imperfections and keeps you from sweating the small stuff.

In the USA, this day is celebrated by many as an iconic moment in history, which it undoubtedly was, but the boy king who became the legend was nothing much in life.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tutankhamun

Tutankhamun, boy king, was actually not much of an historical figure, made famous by British archaeologist Howard Carter, who discovered his completely intact tomb in 1922 on November 4th, which is why this date is King Tut day in the USA.

This boy king, son of the so-called heretic king Akhenaten, wildly unpopular with his people for doing away with the god Aten and replacing him with another dubbed Amun. This abandoning of traditional gods was a big mistake, causing chaos throughout Egypt, a nasty situation for the nine year-old to take charge of, when his father died.

The lad put the old religion back in place, restoring Memphis as capital city, then rejecting the Tutankhaten name, changing to Tutankhamun to honour the old god. His nine years in power had little historical importance.

The young man was driven to repair the damage done by his father, at the same time having his tomb built in the Valley of the Kings, whist ensuring that the building of the temple of Karnak continued. The fame he enjoys today is a direct result of the staggering amount of treasure found in his tomb.

Archaeologists had never before found an intact tomb still containing treasures, and this one contained Copious amounts of jewellery, chariots, thrones along with food and furniture items. That iconic, and incredibly heavy death mask, inlaid with coloured glass, carnelian and lapis lazuli, and made from two thick sheets of gold is utterly priceless.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tutankhamun

The much vaunted curse of Tutankhamun came into being when dig sponsor Lord Carnarvon died from pneumonia, media of the time telling warning ‘Death Shall Come on Swift Wings To Him Who Disturbs the Peace of the King’, written on the tomb wall and taken to imply that trespassers would die, which some naturally did, though Carter himself reached 65 safely.

The boy king’s life, because of his lunatic father and religious disaffection was barely recorded at all, records erased by historians of the time. In 1336BC at nine years old he became pharaoh, married his half-sister but had no surviving children, dying in 1327BC quite suddenly after less than nine years on the throne, possibly from an infection after breaking a leg.

People in the USA commemorate the finding of this tomb every year on November 4th – King Tut Day – the magic and myth surrounding the life of ancient Egyptian rulers still fascinating society to this day. Tutankhamun became a legend, not through what he did in life but what he left behind.

Who are Freemasons?

Have you ever heard the name of Free masons.? Some of you may know about them but mostly know about them as a good society. Free masons is society , which represents themselves as a good society of people. Lets take a deep look in the history.
This society was developed in the era of Moses(as)(not actually in the era of Moses but nearer to this era). This Society belonged to the Pharaoh era. They believe in the god name Horus. Horus was their God. Horus was born in 25th December. His brother killed his Father for some reason. So to take the revenge, Horus started a war against his own brother, in this war his one eye was damaged but he won the battle. From this battle, he was known to people as one eyed
Now , The so-called religious people(MOLVIS,) says that Anti Christ has One eye (proof from above statement). They think that He is one man who is gong to come In donkey and will cut off the necks of people. That’s their stupid belief. But if we take there belief in symbolic language, we can unlock some things.
Horus in pictures , is represented as a eagle face and has one eye. He died , but his Society remains. There Society made these Pyramids. ( because as you know they were masons, and as name indicates “FREE MASONS”. But we don’t actually know who made the pyramids. Because it’s a very deep secret. Many Conspiracy theories tells us that Aliens could have built those Pyramids.
Time passed by , and they became more stronger. They were expert in black magic in the era of SOLOMON. They did black magic on people and harmed them. Solomon took the action and buried the books under a mosque AQSA in Jerusalem. Now in the present world, this Society is destroying the mosque slowly and slowly to gain the magic books back. In fact they were magician`s. This society was mostly magician , who did black magic. The pirates in the old era , was their men. You wont believe but Pirates were actually free masons, due to their symbol of Skull and a black flag.
In this modern world, They have Masonic lodges , where people come and become their part. If you want more proof about them, then lets move more deeper.
Many religions, represent Anti Christ as he has One eye. This society has same symbols. They have their symbols everywhere. Take the example of 1 dollar note. Every currency has its own historic place , but American dollar note has an Eye and one pyramid on a 1 dollar note. What is that?. The pyramids are not in America , but still the one dollar note is showing one eye and a pyramid.

These are their symbols. They are freemasons (Anti Christ). Lets go more deeper. Free masons always make a building or a house or anything in triangular shape. Because, negative energy comes from the pointed object. If you are a scientist , you must know that everything release energy. One is Positive and other is negative. Negative Energy always comes from triangular or pointed object. (Pyramids, Empire state building, Burj-u-lkhalifa…). Have you ever seen a mosque or a church in pyramid shape or pointed shape? “NO”. they are always build in Round shape or rectangular shape but not pyramidal shape. They are everywhere, but our eyes are close. Because we people don’t know the truth. Because we people have wrong beliefs in our mind. Because we people leave everything to God and we ourselves do nothing.
These Free masons has only one purpose on the earth, to make people believe that there is no GOD in this universe. They want to remove GOD from your life, because they themselves believed in a man (horus) as GOD. They had not only one God but many GODS. In this modern world , there main weapon , is to control your mind, through media, through lies and through wrong deeds. And in fact they are controlling us, from day to night, from week to months, from years and so on. There are 5 senses of our body.
1-Sex chakra(sense)
2-Belly chakra
3-Heart Chakra
4- Voice chakra
5-Brain chakra
Now first , we will discuss the Sex chakra. These people are controlling our five senses and we even don’t know. Lets have a look at the sex chakra. These free masons have there biggest weapon as TV. Or media.
Freemasons shows us Sex films. Sexy magazines and some other disgusting things through the media to control our Sex chakra.
Now lets move on to 2nd sense, belly Chakra. They have made restaurants , like KFC. burger shops, sweets, candies for kids so that they eat according to their choice only. Because their choice is kids choice and our choice. That’s how they are controlling our belly chakra.
3rd chakra is Heart chakra. We know, that every man , even a 2 year kid know that what is a Gun and how it works. From the beginning , they fed us war, crimes and other bad aspects of life. Through which they are controlling our Heart Chakra.
4th Chakra is Voice chakra. Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said
“near the end of the world , people will speak lies, SO BEWARE”
They are feeding , lies into our lives, wrong incidents, and wrong news through media. By which we get wrong information We start speaking lies to other people because of them. That’s how they are controlling our Voice chakra.
They are feeding our brain , with terrorism , war and no peace at all. That’s how they are controlling our brain Chakra. Free masons are very dangerous people, they work on the rule like “Trust no one , deceive everyone”. No one can finish them, not until the Judgment day. They will remain in this world until this world goes down. They always make there sign on everything possible. For example. (eye, pyramid. Etc). They show there signs through films, as you can see in matrix, there is a Masonic sign in one of the scene. They are all over the media and all over the world. Star movies, National Geographic, AXN, HBO, ABC and other channels are controlled by free masons society. Free masons use others to do their work. They use innocent people. They control them and then waste. Now lets move on to some big people of this world , who were Freemasons and we didn’t knew.
George Washington and his whole descendants are free masons. Including Obama. Obama is the 11th cousin of George bush . Free masons always choose their president or a leader from one sibling only. They don’t marry their children’s out of the family. Lady Diana was also the member of free masons, but when she was in love with some one else, who was out of their family ,the free masons killed her and him in tunnel.
Benazir, was also free Masonic. When she returned to Pakistan, free masons killed her, because she left their society. You cant imagine, what they are capable of.
Hitler was also the free mason and you wont believe , but Christian Benedict POPE is also a free mason. I can prove it. I saw one of his photos in which he was wearing a crown, on which there was a eye, and a pyramid on his shoulder. Free masons has a secret type of handshake, and if you notice one thing, that all the leaders of America and these free Masonic people, shake their hands by same method . Hillary Clinton is also the free mason. Look at the flag of Israel, and you will see two triangles(pyramids).

That’s free Masonic symbol. Now the big problem is that the people who know about free masons , think that this society is a Jewish society. Jews people declared that they are not free masons, but free masons are destroying every religion, and creating differences among other religions to create a war. They are destroying homes and countries, but they are not Jew, neither Christians , nor Muslims. They are that people who don’t believe in God and they just believe in this vision. They show worldly pleasure to people to forget God.
Another, wrong belief of Christians and Muslims is that a Messiah will come and will make a force and he will going to finish free masons. The messiah has come and also have been passed away. But Muslims don’t believe in it. Because they don’t want to believe anything. They are still waiting for the Messiah to come, but he wont come, because the real Messiah has already been come and had passed away. He has a separate Group from Muslims, called Ahmadiya Muslim Community. In short they are call Ahmadis. Muslims believe them as infidels. They think that Their Messiah is a prophet and Hazrat Muhammad (saw) said that there wont be any messenger after me. Holy Prophet is the Seal of Prophets. But Ahmadis don’t believe that their Messiah is a prophet. The God promised in his Holy book that near the end of the world I will send you the Messiah, the 12th imam. Shias , a group in Islam believe that Messiah has came but due to unfortunate conditions he has been lifted up in the sky and he will return one day with Jesus Christ. Can you believe this myth in this modern world that Two people are coming down from above to save the world?.
I don’t know who can believe in this story but I don’t and I thank God every time that he has given me a clear mind. Muslims called Free masons as Dajjal and in English it is Anti Christ. No one is coming to save us from Free masons. We have to save ourselves. The messiah had came but they don’t believe in it. Now who are the real infidels?. Those who believe or those who create stupid myths?. They read Holy books as it has been written. But they don’t research on every word that God says. They just read it and call themselves as a very pious man. These are the people who will get nothing in the world and in the end. Muslims has make their religion , a hell place . Look at the flag of Saudi Arabia. Muslims “Kalma “ is written above the Sword. That means , there are no such people in this Islam , who has peace. They just want to fight on the basis of language and God. These people always create differences. They say that a muslim name should be a Arabic name. but name is name, even its in greek language or hindi language. Name is a name. whether, it’s a English one or a Arabic one. The biggest problem is Language in our world. Different languages, different religions, different gods and different people. But if we look closely , everything is same . Christian God is same, Muslim God is same as Christians . Jews God is same as both of religions , the difference is only in language. Jews and Christian says God and Muslims says Allah in Arabic. Hindu says BHAGWAN. These Three God are same , only the language is different. As I said that , these people always create difference because these people don t want to see Humans together. Remember one thing, God is for everybody not for Muslims or Christians. He is only for Human beings, because Human beings are the living things. The prophets just gave a message to these people , that believe in God, but beside believing in it they made religions and there business started. The message remain un- revealed. Easy come and easy go, that’s how living things live. YOU have to do everything yourself, as I said you don’t want to rely on other shoulders. Now you will ask one question, that Why these, Molvis and Freemasons are destroying our lives? Because they choose to do this. In the beginning , I said that everything happens from your choosing. You have to finish that slavery and you have to become free. You have to make your mind free for thinking and processing. You have to believe.
Despite the negative side of free masons. There is a positive side of Free masons too. They have a large hand in History and National Treasure. It all started with the Free masons and will end with the free masons. They have built the buildings, pyramids. Why?. They have symbols in these kinds of historic things to remember that where the treasure is. They have drawn the symbols everywhere. Take a look at the statue of liberty in Paris. There is a carving on it like “The twins stand resolute…..”. This is a coded message about the resolute desks. One is currently in Oval office in Washington and other is in Buckingham palace. These desks were made by Queen Victoria from the timber of HMS Resolute ship which was wrecked in a storm. These two desks are very historic . Maybe There is something in those desk. Theories tells us that a Chinese box puzzle maker Malcon made the drawers of these two desk. Why did the queen appointed a puzzle maker to made the drawers?. Maybe the treasure is real and it is of course real .Where did they hide the treasure ? Is City of Gold real? Legend tells us that City of Gold is real. In 1527 a Spanish ship wrecked at Florida coast. Their were Four survivors from the ship and one of the man named estaben saved a local tribe from something.. Lets skip to the end, In the honor, the locals of that colony took him to their sacred city. The city of Gold. But when estaben tried to find out again where the City of Gold is , he didn’t find out.. and conspiracy theories as the film “National Treasure” tells us that Mount Rushmore is a cover up to hide the city of Gold. But on the other side John booth Wilkes, who shot the president Abraham Lincoln. The legend also tells us that he was the member of legendary KGC group(A treasure hunting group) .The reason of murdering him that Abraham left the Free mason society is not enough but there can be other reason too. Was he too involved in protecting the treasure? No one knows what happened that night, what was the reason they shot Abraham Lincoln. Maybe something happened but nothing happened. About the President Book. I assume it is real. The book exist. As far as I have made the research The president book in which he keeps all the secrets of the Nation(USA) exist. No one knows where it is but only the current president of USA. These symbols and things can lead us to greatest treasure ever.
And on the far side, my research tells me that maybe the declaration of independence was the coded treasure map, through which United States came into existence. There are some secrets which should be kept hidden. George Washington , a great man, when moved to Mount Vernon, maybe he made a tunnel in his lawn. There is a map of that tunnel which was made by George Washington by himself. He was expert in drawing maps. I believe that every free mason who was a big man or a leader took part in protecting the treasure. I mean take a look at the bald Eagle. The seal of USA. The eagle has a possible link with Horus. Because Horus was depicted as an eagle in myths. From Benjamin Franklin to Abraham Lincoln , From Queen Victoria to Resolute desks and from Free masons to Native Americans , there are some secrets which are currently hidden. Which I will try my best to find out.

Have you ever heard someone say the phrase "Separation of church and state."? Followed immediately by someone declaring "That never appears in the constitution!"
Well today I want to point out that separating the gay man from Christianity never appears in the Bible, but what does the Bible tell us to separate our selves from?

Today I wanted to talk about what it means to be a gay Christian, because on both sides of the spectrum, it seems like at first glance, there are only two choices: Deny who you are and pretend to be a straight Christian; or be gay and live a life of sexual, immoral, anti-family, agnosticism. The labels “Gay” and “Christian” are said to never be able to co-exist. Why?

There are several passages in the Old and New Testaments which directly and indirectly speak on the issue of homosexuality. The Old Testaments passages include the specific “Man shall not lie with another man as with a woman,” Which is found in the very long and extensive list of rules that were in place to make the Israelites “holy” or to show them how much they could not be Holy. According to Hebrews, chapter seven, it was useless anyways and made no one perfect, but only faith in Jesus Christ is one made perfect. (There is also an interesting phrase in that chapter that states: “For when here is a change in the priesthood [Christ] there is a change in the law as well.)

The other most famous passage is Sodom and Gomorrah, in Genesis Chapter 19, where God had already proclaimed destruction and judgment on the cities for their sin. Abraham’s brother Lot had moved into the city, and two angels in human form came into the city. Lot quickly welcomed them into his home for protection, knowing the city was full of scoundrels who would treat them wrongly. Not long after welcoming them into his house, men and woman from all over the city came to his door, after finding out about his guests; they desired to mistreat them in the most horrible of ways. Sodomy and rape was a form of humiliating your enemy or foreign people in that culture, and it still is today. The city was not a homosexual or gay city; it was simply a sinful city willing to be violent rapists towards newcomers. Being gay was not the reason the city was destroyed. It was an excess of the sins of the heart: Pride, selfishness, gluttony, laziness, inhospitality, and they did not take care of those in need within their own city. (Ezekiel 16: 47-51) Compare this to James 1:27.

Obviously the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were not gay cities, but their sinful choices and lifestyles lead them to want to mistreat others in the most degrading of ways. Being gay does not mean you have this desire automatically, or that you have to follow all the stereotypes of gay people. The majority of gay people are regular everyday people like you and me, we have jobs, not gay jobs, and we have hobbies, not gay hobbies. We have talents and gifts that can be used for God’s glory. God does not look upon you and say “what a beautiful voice… too bad I can’t use it since it’s a gay voice.” No, God looks to see if we are prideful, kind, loving, selfless, and obedient. If we are not these things, whether gay or straight, we are liable to experience the same consequences of judgment laid out by God to Sodom and Gomorrah.

The New Testament warns against the “sexually immoral” and “men who practice homosexuality” as not being able to receive the kingdom of God. We will take the words literally here for arguments sake, but do know that there are great big issues with the translations of that word “homosexuality.” I challenge you to find those details; it’s easily findable via our good friend Google.

If we take these literally, I think we can define both sins from each other through context. Obviously sex is not a sin in itself, but when does it become a sin? If we take King David for an example, he was rewarded by God with great success, treasures, multiple wives and concubines because of his faithful heart to God. God never mentions anything negative about David’s sexual relations with more than one wife, or those who were not his wives, Why? He did not steal them, or rape them, take them against their will, but he earned the status of being able to have or acquire these things, because he was a righteous king. Yet a day came when God did punish him for a sexual sin, with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11.) Why would God suddenly punish him for this sex? If you read the story, you see that David lusted, stole, lied, lied some more, committed murder, and lied to cover it up. These kinds of “from the heart” are what determine God’s judgment.

So according to the context of David and the context of the New Testament passages what is living “sexually immoral?” mean? It must be sexual acts committed in the lust of those heart sins. Can a gay person commit sexual sin? Absolutely, just like straight men can. So what are the “Practicing homosexuals?” They must be men having sex with each other according to their lustful heart sins, fueled by pride, lust, lies, addictions, etc.

So if a homosexual man is not practicing these things, does it still make him a candidate for God’s Holy wrath?

What we’ve done here in our church culture is separate the church from the gays, which is a dangerous unloving decision. By defining “gay” as a sin, regardless of a man’s actions and character, you have committed the sin of Sodom, unloving the people whom you should welcome and take care of. Gay people will not cease to be gay, but they are in need of fellowship, love, bible learning, friendships, spiritual growth, and when someone refuses to offer these because they are attracted to the members of the same sex, that person or that church is in danger of the wrath of God, because these are the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. Accepting gay people does not mean you have accept the truly sinful lifestyles, but think about how much more willing Christians are to put up with the sinful lifestyles of straight people. Separation of church and gay cannot exist if Christians wish to be known by their love. The longer the separation exists, the harder it will be to claim gay people for Christ.

Take a moment to Read 1 Corinthians 7:17-23, specifically verse 20 that says “Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called.”

What we should separate is the gay from the sin. You can be gay and not give in to sin; you can have loving relationships not based on idol worship, promiscuity, and lustful desire. You can have family values and serve Christ and be gay. If this is true, then there is hope for you straight people too! You also can be straight and have real loving lasting relationships, family values, and serve Christ.

Begin to see what you want to be. Speak what you want to hear. Change your life with words of Light. Change your world with Words.

That’s how it works, it’s not a mystery and yet it is. Be consistent though, and behold just what you want to see, eliminate the rest.

Look past what seems to be. Reach out and touch what is just beyond, and hold what doesn’t seem to be.
Don’t be afraid to move out now, this word is meant for you. Reach deep inside for that buried dream. Expose your treasure to the Light. You are equipped, as a warrior: bring forth now and live your dream.

Write your dream for all to see, make your vision plain. For maybe one right here will see, the One who holds the very key that will unlock your dream.

What are some of the advantages of being in a relationship?

Just like my previous article about advantages of being single. Like I’ve said, different people have different views on the same topic. Being single is great but being in a relationship is also great! It all depends on how a person look at things. There are many advantages of being in a relationship too such as:

There is always someone to share your joy and sorrow.

The times spend together with your love one are times that you would not exchange for anything in the world.

There is a special bond between you and your partner.

There is always someone that you know you can rely on in any situation.

There is always someone that is missing you and someone you can miss.

There is a person who is building their future with you.

There is a person who is working as hard as you so as to have a better life together.

You know that you are never alone because there is a person who will always be there for you.

These are just some of the advantages that are in my mind now but there are many more. I am sure for those who are in a relationship will understand the joy and happiness that I am talking now. Be it single or in a relationship, we can be happy because it all boils down to our own thinking. If you are in a relationship, cherish your partner because it is not easy to find someone that you love and he loves you back the same. If you are single, wait for you Mr or Ms right to come along. You will never know when are they going to appear in your life, so be happy and not worry!

There's no second chance in life.

People often hope and wish for a second chance when they make a mistake in life. But there is no such thing as second chance. All we have is just one chance, screw it up, and that’s it. That is why it is important to never do something that you will regret, regret doing something that you should or leaving a bad mark in your life.

Some people will say, “If I am going to be a human in my next life, I will definitely do a better job.”. But, there is NO second chance. Even if you are going to be human again, it is going to be a whole brand new life. You cannot remember a single thing from your previous life and naturally, you are going to make mistakes again as all human make mistakes. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes.

If you have failed in certain areas of life, start again. Do not say you’re too old to start again, etc. It is never too late to start. Some people’s lives only started when they are 50 years old or even later. The only thing that is stopping people trying is fear. It is the fear of failing again. But never be afraid, because without trying, you will never know whether you will succeed or not. One day, everyone will succeed, regardless of time used, it depends on yourself and the effort you’ve put in.

Remember, there is only ONE chance in life. Even if you have a chance of being human again, it is a totally different thing. Do not pend hope in your next life because you are bound to make mistakes again. So, treasure the life that you have now and try until you succeed!

To die twice is not a commonplace occurrence. Yet this is what happened to a hero of the boudoir, who was in the revolutionary France at the height of his popularity, and figured in the dreams of all the fine ladies of Marie Antoinette’s Court. His name was Jean François Autié, his alias Leonard, and he was a barber by profession.

He was nicknamed “le Marquis Leonard” to distinguish him from his brother, “le Chevalier”, whose office was confined to the cutting of hair. In 1791, his gigantic headdresses, two feet in height, adorned with a collection of accessories and supported by a framework of steel wire, were very much “en vogue’. Leonard gave them ridiculous names, like “valgalas” or “toquets en lubie”, which the ladies thought enchanting.

“If Leonard was not a perfect imbecile, with neither refinement nor taste,” the historian G. Lenotre wrote in his book The Flight of Marie Antoinette, “he must certainly have been a profound philosopher, and have spent hours of exquisite enjoyment in observing the measureless folly of those brainless grandes dames, whom he treated with the rudeness of a slave-trader, being repaid by them with all the more idolatry and admiration.”

Image via Wikipedia

When a woman was of sufficient importance to receive his ministrations, the artist would arrive – always in a hurry – and take a quick look at his client. He would appear to study the figure of the patient for some minutes, and then, as he felt the inspiration come, he would pounce upon the first objects that came to hand: a cabbage, a scarf, a sponge, some apples, a child’s toy boat.

With these accessories he would build up his extravagant edifice on the head of his delighted victim. Thus it was that the Duchesse de Luynes presented herself one day in the royal circle with one of her chemises in her hair, an idea which was thought to be “quite too delightfully foolish”, and that Madame de Matignon made her appearance with her locks dressed a la Jardinière, carrying on her head an artichoke, a head of green broccoli, a pretty carrot and a few little radishes. Rousseau had made nature fashionable; or, as one of the ladies put it: “Vegetables are so much more natural than flowers, are they not?”

The noblest and the most charming heads passed through the hands of Leonard. Every day his fingers gently touched those pink and perfumed necks that were so soon to be torn by the steel triangle of the guillotine. In the days of the Terror this man must have been tortured by horrible visions every evening as he read in the gazettes the account of the executions of the previous day. Visions, for instance, of the horrible basket under the guillotine in which were heaped the long curls, fair and dark, that his own golden comb had so often smoothed.

Leonard was a precise little person, with slightly prominent cheek-bones and a pointed and rather turned-up nose. The way in which Leonard became mixed up with the flight of the royal family and the drama of Varennes is rather obscure. When one reads the narratives of his contemporaries, it always seems that something is left unsaid…

As G. Lenotre describes it: “On the 20th June, 1791, at a quarter past one in the afternoon, Marie Antoinette, being on the point of sitting down to the table with the King, sent for Leonard, who lived in the Tuileries in his capacity of valet-de-chambre to her Majesty. He lost no time in presenting himself in the salon where the royal family were gathered. He saw the King chatting with Madame Elizabeth in an embrasure, and the Dauphin playing with his sister.”

The Queen, who was leaning against the chimney-piece, signed to the hairdresser to come near, and said in a low voice: “Leonard, can I count upon you?”

“Ah, Madame,” Leonard answered, “dispose of me as you will. I am entirely devoted to you!”

“Here is a letter,” the Queen said, who appeared much moved. “Take it to the Duc de Choiseul in the Rue d’Artois. Give it into no hands but his. Put on an overcoat and a round hat, to avoid being recognised. Obey him exactly as though he were myself, without pausing to think, and without the least opposition.”

At two o’clock, Leonard reached the house of Choiseul, dressed in white silk stockings, silk knee-breeches, a large riding-coat over everything, and a wide-brimmed hat that shaded his forehead and eyes. The Duke opened the letter, nodded slowly and then burnt the note in the flame of a taper, and led away the stupefied hairdresser. In the courtyard was standing a closed cabriolet, and Leonard, seeing that he was expected to enter it, drew back.

“I can’t go away,” he said.

“Oh, I only want to take you very quickly to a spot some leagues from Paris, to fulfil a special commission,” the Duke answered.

“But I have left my key in the door at the palace! My brother will not know what has become of me, and I have promised Madame de Laage to dress her hair. She is expecting me, and my cabriolet is waiting in the court of the Tuileries and oh my God… How can I arrange for all these things?”

Choiseul laughingly assured him that the necessary orders already were given, and that he would be ableto dress Madame de Laage’s hair another day. As he was speaking, he drew the barber into the carriage and lowered the blinds. And they started off at a great pace along the road to Bondy.

At Bondy some post-horses were ready for the cabriolet, which went on without delay to Meaux. At every stage Leonard’s astonishment increased, while repeating continually: “But Madame de Laage is waiting for me, Monsieur! Where can we be going?”

Beyond Meaux, the Duke informed him that he was being taken to the frontier, where he was to carry out a mission of the greatest importance, concerned with the Queen’s service.

“Oh… In that case… Certainly, Monsieur!” Leonard moaned. “But how shall I get back? I am in silk stockings and breeches and I have no money!”

At Montmirail the travelers had some supper; then they lay down in their clothes on a bed, but by half-past three in the morning they were again on the road. They changed horses at Chalons, and an hour later arrived at Pont-de-Somme-Vesle, where they were awaited by forty hussars.

“Now I can reveal everything to you,” Choiseul said. “You must know, Monsieur, that the King and his family should have left the Tuileries at midnight. Before two hours have passed they will be here, and the hussars will escort the royal carriage to Sainte-Menehould, where another detachment is stationed. At Clermont there are quartered some dragoons who will close the road, as soon as the royal family has passed. They will stop all traffic until the King has safely reached Montmedy.”

The luggage-carrier of the cabriolet in which Choiseul and Leonard had travelled from Paris contained a garment worn by the King on state occasions, his linen, some of the Queen’s jewels, and Madame Elizabeth’s diamonds. Leonard melted into tears and declared he was prepared to die for his good master and mistress. He ended by drying his eyes and sitting down to the table, where he dined at considerable length.

Why, among all the tried followers who composed the royal circle, was this brainless and feeble puppet chosen mixed up in the affair? There is but one plausible answer: the wig-maker was not one of the “usual suspects” and so could start his secret mission totally unsuspected…

Image via Wikipedia

At Pont-de-Somme-Vesle the peasants were crowding round the hussars when a rumour arose that a levy by force of arms was imminent. A riot was the result, and Choiseul, convinced that the royal carriage might appear at any moment, tried to gain time. But the King’s arrival had now been delayed by three hours, and it became a question whether he had not been stopped at Chalons. Perhaps even he had been prevented from leaving the Tuileries.

In the face of the hostile attitude of the peasants Choiseul took it upon himself to withdraw the troops. He retired with them across the fields, leaving the road free, after having instructed Leonard to continue his journey in the cabriolet to Montmedy, and to give information of the unfortunate turn of events to the officers of the detachments at Sainte-Menehould and Clermont. He even entrusted the barber with a note to show to them: “It does not appear as if the Treasure would pass to-day. Tomorrow you will receive your orders.”

Together with Boucher, the valet of the Duke, Leonard took the road to Sainte-Menehould. “Lately but a simple valet,” the historian G. Lenotre wrote in his book The Flight of Marie Antoinette, “he now found himself without any preparation charged with a mission which made him in a certain degree the arbiter of the King’s fate and of the destiny of the nation. We must remember that, except his own protestations, we have no certain evidence that he was devoted to the royal cause, and future events were to give abundant proof that he did not allow himself to be inconvenienced by scruples. This is the kind of man, then, that we must imagine travelling towards the frontier, carrying with him the King’s coat, which was worth a fortune, and the Queen’s diamonds.”

At Sainte-Menehould Leonard showed the note written by the Duke and advised the officer of the hussars to unsaddle their horses and go back to their quarters. At Clermont, the commanding officer paid no attention to him and his note. At Varennes, where he arrived at half-past nine in the evening, two young officers were stationed in command of some men who were keeping some horses in readiness for the royal carriage: the son of General de Bouille and M. de Raigecourt. It was a magnificent night, and the two officers were sitting on a bench before the Grand Monarque hotel, when Leonard’s cabriolet drove up. He immediately assumed an air of great importance and declard that he knew everything, and was in charge of the Queen’s jewels. He assured them that the King must have been stopped at Chalons and informed them that there was a riot going on at Clermont. He demanded some horses and went off at last… but not with the valet of Choiseul, but with a postilion.

The disorganization that was spread along the route, the missing relay at the entrance to Varennes and finally the arrest of the fugitives… it’s a chain of fatal circumstances which cannot be explained if we ignore Leonard’s strange action in the affair. “One chance remained to him of being useful to the royal family,” G. Lenotre remarked. “If he had hurried on to Stenay, where the two regiments under the elder M. de Bouille were stationed, his tales and false information would certainly have decided the latter to take his troops along the Chalons road; but on leaving Varennes Leonard’s postilion missed his way, and did not find out his mistake until he had travelled seven leagues, and was at the gates of Verdun. He was obliged to turn back, and only appeared at Stenay late on the following day, when the King’s arrest had been an accomplished fact for some hours, and there was no longer any hope of helping him.”

Did Leonard gave his postilionorders to miss his way? And was that the reason why he could not voyage further on up the road with the valet of Choiseul?

Leonard was questioned by General de Bouillé, but he was unable to answer a word… He could give no information to the King’s journey, or of an arrest in Chalons. “His ideas were so much confused that everything he told us was very vague, even with regard to de Choiseul,” the General wrote in his diary.

However, Leonard handed over to him the casket of diamonds… and de Bouillé gave it into the charge of one of his officers. But on the following day the officer was found covered with wounds and almost dying. As for the casket, it had disappeared…

Image via Wikipedia

Proceedings were instituted against all the agents in flight of the royal family. It was a curious fact that Leonard was not indicted, and that he seemed to be in no hurry to return to France, although he would have incurred no danger in doing so. Leonard lived for three months in somewhere in the Ardennes, without anything being heard of him. He abandoned the comb until the 10th August.

It might be thought that on the establishment of the Republic he would be ranked among the “suspects”, but no… He obtained employment at Versailles in connection with army remounts, and was occupying this peaceable position when at last the Terror laid its hand upon him. Leonard was arrested in July 1794 and condemned to death. His body, together with some others, was thrown into the common trench of Picpus, and was registered in accordance with the statement delivered to the executioner.

In 1814 however, Leonard returned from Russia, where he had spent twenty years. Indeed, Jean François Autié, who was guillotined with every official formality during the days of revolutionary Terror, was still alive at the time of the Restoration. In the “Quotidienne” of March 16, 1838, his nephew protested against the publication of some very apocryphal memoirs which were attributed to “le Marquis Leonard”, and declared “that he had never been parted from his uncle after 1814, the year of his return to France, until the time of his death.” He died, finally, at the age of sixty-two, in 1820. His second death certificate was among the public registers of Paris before the fire of 1871…

...pairing what you love doing the most with people you love the most - a perfect combination.

While writing is often seen as a very solitary art form, as my career path broadens, I realize that when you collaborate with other artists you enjoy the BEST of both worlds. You get the opportunity to share what you love doing most with the people in your life you love the most. It’s truly a win-win situation for all parties involved.

When people spend time with friends and loved ones they’re often sharing a new experience: travelling to a new place, seeing a new performance, etc. So why not pair your passion with those most adored people in your life? It’s truly a match made in heaven and an ingenius best use of everyone’s time.

And what’s wonderful is that everyone I’m befriending these days is an artist who would like to work together or has a similar vision of “one love” regarding the world: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” (-Mahatma Gandhi.)

As many of my readers know, my ultimate dream is to finish a novel series and be the next JK Rowling or Agatha Christie (the most widely read authors in the world – you must say your dreams to make them come true). But, as “they” say, along the way everyone needs to “stop and smell the flowers” so why not stop with treasured friends who you can collaborate with as well to create even more beauty in the world!

Just a final note: always make sure though, when collaborating with others, that you keep your greatest dreams close to your heart and mind as well. It’s up to you to keep them in sight and make them all come true.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” ♥
(-Harriet Tubman)
