In reality, hypnosis originated at the dawn of human civilization. Even early man had the ability to day-dream and wonder, naturally projecting images of the hunt and procreation into reality, his objectives uninhibited by logic and driven purely by instinct. The simplicity which once beset the evolving mind created the perfect mental environment for self-hypnosis to work. Little has changed over forty-two thousand years; except perhaps that now we measure and study ourselves more consciously, even if this means going against the grain and natural progression of hypnosis.
