Who says there’s only mermaid in the story – a fairy tale? Hannah Fraser is one person who would say no! Women from the continent of Australia has received designation as a mermaid being able to hold their breath up to 2 minutes and dive to a depth of 45 feet just by using an artificial tail that resembles a mermaid tail.

Interest in the Mermaid Hannah first experienced when he was 3 years old. Little Hannah Mermaid fascinated with the figure after seeing the movie ‘Splash’, starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah at the time he was 9 years old. He then began experimenting to create a tail like a mermaid tail and dreamed that one day he will be able to swim with the fish – fish in the sea. And the result, a mermaid tail has successfully made the first time.

Hannah is now 36-year-old has managed to make a mermaid tail for better and have a swim with the whales, dolphins, stingrays and even sharks. Hannah currently works as an actress and a model with her husband, Dave Rastovich, also a marine observer. They were even concerned about the amount of destruction of whales under the guise of a scientific study.

”It’s sad and we want to go somewhere to get in touch with the pope and to warn them of danger like that,” said Hannah.

Reported by Dailymail, in 2007, Hannah swim in the sea in Taiji, Japan, with 30 people consisting of surfers, celebrities and musicians, in an attempt to stop the cruel slaughter of thousands of dolphins – dolphins are carried out by local fishermen.

”Half of dolphins have been captured and others are roped off in the middle of the bay that will lead towards the fishermen.” He recalls.

Mermaid Hannah’s life is interesting filmmaker Rob Benavides to lift it into a masterpiece. Hannah and Rob hope keperduliannya life on life in the sea can inspire many people to be able to love the sea and its contents.

Everything you ever wanted to know about fingerprints! Ten top tips!

We all have fingerprints and we all know that they are unique. But how unique are they really?

1. As well as fingerprints, we have toe prints, palm prints, and foot prints. All of these are unique.

2. Any two of your fingers have different fingerprints. So fingerprints don’t just say which person made them, they say which finger (or toe, etc.) on which person made them!

3. Even identical twins, who have identical DNA, have different fingerprints. This is because fingerprints aren’t caused purely by genetics, but also by minor environmental influences in the womb.

4. Other animals with unique fingerprints are chimpanzees, gorillas, and koalas. A fingerprint from any of these animals is so similar to human fingerprints that even experts can be fooled.

5. As well as unique fingerprints, you have unique irises (the lines in the coloured parts of your eyes) and a unique pattern of hair follicles on your head.

6. Fingerprints are thought to help us grip things when our hands get wet. Our skin absorbs water and swells up, but fingerprints keep the tips of our fingers rough so we can still hang onto things and not slip off.

7. Zebra stripes, tiger stripes, and many animal irises are as unique as fingerprints.

8. Fresh pineapple juice contains a naturally-occurring chemical which wears away fingerprints. If you leave your hands in pineapple juice overnight, you will wake up without fingerprints. There are also ways to surgically remove fingerprints. Of course, since so few people do this, it actually makes you easier to identify by police (yes, it has happened).

9. If you scratch your fingertip badly, the scar will remain in your fingerprint forever. Unless, that is, you scar yourself as a baby before you are 6 months old. This is because most minor injuries up until this point in life leave no scars due to the healing abilities of newborns which we lose as we grow older.

10. There are different categories of fingerprints. Have a look at your fingers to find out which ones you have. There are: arches, whorls, loops, and double-loops. The loop is the most common, but on a few of your fingers you might have something else instead.

It is always best to aim to be the best that you can possibly be. Blossom like a sunflower and with each day radiate into a glowing spectacle and become prettier and unique as you grow through time.

When speaking about personality, what do we mean? According to Webster New World College Dictionary, Third Edition, 1996, this refers to personal identity and individuality. A person demonstrates habitual patterns and quality of behavior as expressed by physical and mental activities and attitudes. These are distinctive individual qualities. It is the sum of this behavior which seems distinctive and individualistic qualities meant to make a favorable impression on others. Moreover, it is characteristically complex. Such a person’s personality is embedded in his feelings, thinking, and actions that make him unique.

Becoming a more appealing person

It’s important that such a person learns to build on his social skills. Essential is his ability to interact with others. It is not enough to flit like a butterfly from person to person saying, “I’m your friend. I love you” It is not enough to do charitable work and pat yourself on the back and say that you are a good person. It is not enough to participate in walkathons and be happy that you have joined the fight against the ravages of cancer or muscular dystrophy. It is more than these things. Your personality should bring you face to face with these problems in profound ways. You should meet these with such maladies. Listen to their stories – really listen, empathize and be open in providing a helping hand.

Learn to be a good conversationalist. Work on your speaking skills and enunciate your words properly. Listen to those social leaders that you deem effective role models. These could be discovered through talks, seminars and workshops. Visit museums, art exhibitions, and the theater. Be well informed about popular culture. But try never to become despondent and bury your head in the sand like an ostrich. Not everything you hear will be flattering nor suits your taste. You do not have to agree with all opinion leaders, but you should strive to cultivate opinions of your own. Hold on to the way that you view the world and look at it differently through a variety of prisms. If something makes greater sense incorporate it in your belief system.

Expand your horizons

Learn new things. Some people will attest to the fact that it is not too late to spread your wings to be those things that you never have been. Did you always want to be an artist but never had the time to? If so try dabbling in painting. What about trying your hands at being a sculptor? Learning to play that piano or guitar may reveal hidden talents or it could be just for fun. What about picking up a new language? Does French, Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin sound appealing?

Develop your love of other cultures. Do some traveling. Which parts of the world did you always want to see. Look into more profoundly how life and culture are in countries other than your own. Let these discoveries tickle your imagination. Obtain foreign recipe books and try out some dishes, or at least sample foreign cuisine especially in many urban areas where there are immigrants. It is not unusual to find these restaurants, e.g., Italian, Greek, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, and Caribbean.

Cultivate your uniqueness

Stand your ground. Be a person of integrity. Do not lie, cheat, steal, and exploit others, or be “wishy washy.” These will be many moments when you will be tempted to do so. Resist it. Believe in a higher power beyond yourself and keep searching for man’s elusive answers. Continue asking questions like: Why are we here? Why is pain in this world? What forms do evil take? What happens when we die? Be familiar with religious figures, e.g., Spinoza, St. Augustine, etc. Review the teachings of religious texts. Have a basic understanding of the major religions of the world. Delve into philosophy, ethics and science and take note of enlightening passages and contradictions.

Read fiction and non fiction works. Purview history, art, medieval and modern literature, and enjoy romance novels. Read for fun. It does not always have to be profound. Like a flower see yourself blossom like a beautiful sunflower on a summer’s day. Take long walks outdoors along trails in public parks, or on the seashore. Listen to the birds chirping and feel the wind as it caresses your face.

Always eat right. Get a good night’s sleep and be at peace while doing yoga exercises. Never give up on life. Always look on the bright side. Embrace life with your own uniqueness and fully enjoy it and relate appropriately to the sad moments. Such attitudes will foster the best that you have to offer of yourself, community, and the world. It is your responsibility to enhance your personality.

Followers of this strange religion called “Kopimisme” and they believe in sharing and copying all types of information will increase knowledge. Kopimisme also carries the “Copy Me” as a tagline.

”Culture is something that makes people feel better and make people appreciate their world in a different way. Knowledge is something we have to copy without legal entangled. It makes us better when sharing knowledge with one another, “says Isaac Gerson, 20, founder Kopimisme.

As quoted by USNews emergency, more than 3500 people on Facebook like Kopimisme and thousands of people have been doing file sharing sacred ritual. This religion has spread and has branches in 18 countries.

Formal meeting between the followers must be implemented in a completely free of anti-kopimisme observation and using the symbol of the pyramid with the letter K and his people have to say the sacred words “Copied and Seeded”.

Religion is said to have reached America and opened a branch there, sources said that a 25-year-old student at the University of Chicago became the head of the branch.

About 450 people have registered at the church Kopimisme and 30 of them are actively practicing the religion that includes symbols Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, a keyboard shortcut to do the copying files.

No wonder this strange religion emerged in Sweden, these countries are party pirate (pirate party) who has two parliamentary seats and Sweden also has the largest portal site for illegal files, The Pirate Bay.

”There are many people like me, who always holds kopimisme ideals, but I have not heard of the official church,” said Lauren Pespisa, web developers in Cambridge.

Although many followers kopimisme ritual “sacred” every time downloading and sharing various kinds of multimedia files or ebook, but they also regularly meet in the chatroom to discuss religion.

Many of their followers who are activists of the internet and make file sharing illegal, if successful, the founder Kopimisme will be happy to help in any way.

The Gateway of the Most Important Seaway of the World
The beach is unique in its beauty and tidiness

The great tourist of Venice City, Marco polo served the King Kublai Khan of China for 17 years. He was not only the special advisor of the King but also the center of his grants. Kublai Khan was the super power of his age and his court was the super court. But Marco Polo was getting fed up of this court and recalling his home very much.

He requested the King for leave, which was accepted reluctantly. Then he started his journey with his father, uncle and 600 people in yachts to his way back home to Venice city of Italy. He entered from China to the Indian Ocean through Malacca, since it was the only way that joins Indian Ocean to South China Sea.

It was also the most important seaway 8 centuries back as it is now, where big trading ships used to transfer merchandize from China, Japan and other countries of the Pacific Ocean to India, Middle East, Europe and African countries. That’s why it is also known as “World’s Seaway”. One of the gates of this seaway is “Malacca”, which is also the city of Malaysia and on the other side is “Sumatra”, the important city of Indonesia.

The cool snowy breeze still blows the same way as used to in 1292, when Marco polo had to settle for five months along with his sea caravan in Sumatra waiting for the settling down of the climate. But even the worst thing that Marco polo had to face was the sea piracy, which he had to face many times. This problems is still alive, but at that time the weapons were not as sophisticated as they are now.

Marco polo writes, “Only 18 people could reach safe and sound to Venice among 600 people. My father and uncle were also among them. Though our clothes were turned into rags but diamonds were still fixed on them, which Kublai Khan had granted us at the time of our departure”.

The Malacca is situated 148 kilometers west of Kuala Lumpur. There is a never endings series of forest between these two cities. The trees in the forest are mainly rubber producing trees. A scar has been made on the tree trunk and a vessel similar to cooking pot has been attached beside that scar for collecting rubber in the shape of thick juice which afterwards turns into rubber.

Rubber is the main export of Malaysia but the arrival of artificial plastic has reduced this export to much extent because of its cheaper rates. The road from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca is not a Motor way rather it is a Highway having very low traffic. Few small cities lie between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. Malacca in fact is the smallest city of Malaysia. It is totally an autonomous state.

After the renaissance in Europe the adventurers and tourists headed towards East. They were in the search of new worlds and also wanted to earn lot of money. Marco polo, the great traveler had already mentioned in his account of journeys that Europeans were always interested in the treasures.

That’s why the discovery of America, the discovery of the ruins of ancient town of Latin America, search for treasures in Africa and even the search of the remains of pharos are all dependent on the European’s treasure hunt obsession. These adventurers used to go out in search of treasures with the help of old decay maps and marks and saw dreams of becoming rich overnight. They started their search from Portugal and Spain due to the fact that the then Muslim Arab governments who were equipped with the then most modern shipping and sea voyaging techniques, used to teach the inhabitants about these techniques.

This is the reason that the fortune-hunters of the European renaissance spread in the world from these two countries (under the influence of Muslims sea knowledge) and not only ruled the world but also given birth to a new western culture, which is still alive. It can easily be judged now that how big civilization becomes helpful to other, if positively applied instead of mere opposition.

Alfonso de Albuquerque, the famous Portugal’s adventurer of the history, headed this way on 15th April from the newly formed Indian Portuguese colony Goa along with 1200 people and 17 boats. After reaching Malacca, he took control of it till the end of August. Before Alfonso de Albuquerque, Malacca remain under Muslim regime for long, since Arab sailors and traders reached there earlier, spread Islam and set the Muslim regime in this Far East area which was under the ruling of the local Sultans.

Arab’s Muslims were very expert in shipping techniques and thus received much popularity in Spain. They were fully aware of the sea and its passages. Their sharper eyes recognized the importance of the Strait of Malacca and its gateway. They had the sense that for trading from Far East and China through sea, it would be essential taking control of this seaway.

Therefore, Muslims continued ruling over there since 1300 when at last in 1511 Alfonso de Albuquerque took control over there. Alfonso de Albuquerque defeated the then Muslim ruler Sultan Mehmood Shah and turned Malacca into a Portuguese colony. But Portuguese could not get hold of it for long and soon in 1641 Holland captured the Strait after defeating him.

They ruled till 1741 until famous British East India Company got hold of it. Now, Britain had been the Super Power and it was fully aware of the sea secrets. The Britain was preparing to control the world and thus their hold over the strait was essential. The Indian Ocean and the nearby countries was its target. They could get the raw material from there that could run the factories of the new world and new civilization.

Malacca seaway is 805 Km long. It is today considered the most important trading and military center. You can easily guess its importance by a single oil product that around 18 million barrel oil pass through it daily. It would be worth mentioning here that now another island Singapore has gained much trading and military importance on this seaway. Its seaport lies before Singapore.

More than 10 million ships pass through Malacca Strait yearly and more than 1/3 of the trading goods of the world pass through this Strait. America, China, Russia, India, Britain, France and all the nearby countries take care of this Strait, especially American 7th and 6th Sea fleet play an important role in keeping it open, since America is Nuclear Power and have fully ammunition loaded ships and submarines, which remains underwater.

Malacca city have seen the change of ruling nations again and again in the last five centuries. Therefore, besides Muslims Mosques, you can see Churches, and other worship places of Portuguese, Dutch and Britain Style. Similarly, population also consists of many nations, but the majority is of Malay residents who are Muslims, whereas Christian and Sikhs also reside there.

The Malaysian government has taken special care in safeguarding the remains of Portugal, Dutch and Britain so as to make the city more attractive for the tourists, especially for the European tourist. That’s why European tourists are seen here and there visiting the city happily.

Perhaps the most attractive thing in the tourist industry can be that there would be something present for the foreigners that could help them bringing close to their civilization. That’s why the Muslims countries who have kept the ancient reminiscences safe are earning pounds, dollars, Euros and Yen from them and making their countries prosperous. If the Nation has confidence, the old remains cannot harm its identity. These old remains are the gateway of the history and even if destroyed, they will remain safe in the books.

Malacca is a small city. The most interesting center of it is an old castle named “A’ Famosa”. It is a reminiscence of Portuguese age. Seemingly it depicts the Western Civilization, but people who are aware of the construction art, can see the glimpse of Spanish Muslims art in it as well. Malacca city is situated on both sides of the River Malacca. There is so wonderful panorama of old and new buildings that cannot be found elsewhere in Far East or South East Asia. That’s why UNESCO titled it as “The Great Work of Global Heritage”. Another wonderful thing is that all the people of different nations and religions are living there very peacefully. Any type of anarchy is extinct here. A’ Famosa castle might remained the center of war sometime in the past but today it is the most attractive place for the world’s tourists, because all kinds of facilities like Hotels and Theaters etc. are present here under one roof.

Turning of military castles into economic castles is common in today’s world. It is common in Europe as well. This custom has been adopted my many developed Muslim countries that has opened the gates of employment and earning foreign exchange. These castles are also a wonderful source of bringing coordination and harmony among nations. But, unfortunately, weak, frightened and nervous nations think it their great feat destroying such type of castles and others alike ancient reminiscences.

Alfonso de Albuquerque, after collecting treasures and wealth from Malacca returned back to Goa. The name of the ship he was traveling in was “Flor Do Mar”, which sank in the Indian Ocean due to heavy storm with all his wealth and treasures. The model of this ship has been kept at one of the crossings of Malacca so that every visitor must see and take advice from it.

Malacca city has a great contribution in spreading Islam in the Far East, since Muslims traders and merchants from India and other Muslim countries came there for trading purposes and also brought their civilization and religion with them. Great number of Malaya people accepted Islam in 1500.

Although it was ruled most of the time by Portuguese, Dutch and Britain but the majority is of Muslims. Islam spread to all over Malaysia from there and the ancient Mosques are witnessing about it even today.

The Malacca beach is unique in its beauty and tidiness. Blue sea is seen just in front, the bright sand and high cleanliness makes the beach captivating. Its beach has now gone farther from the sea as land has been taken to make room for the inhabitants, but the natural beauty of the beach has not been reduced even an inch.

The same strong wet winds of the age of Marco polo give visitors a new feel of freshness. These winds are blowing from America, Japan, Australia, China or Indian Ocean. Really a small city of Malacca and its Strait that joins many parts of the world is now among one of the wonders of Nature.
