F-22 Raptor stealth fighter is made in the United States. The aircraft was originally planned to be used as air superiority fighter for fighter aircraft used against the Soviet Union.

F-22 Raptor stealth fighter is made in the United States. The aircraft was originally planned to be used as air superiority fighter for fighter aircraft used against the Soviet Union, but the aircraft is equipped for ground attack, electronic warfare and signals intelligence. This aircraft through a long period of development, prototype versions were named YF-22, three years before it was officially adopted named F/A-22, and eventually was named the F-22A when it officially came into use in December 2005. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the prime contractor responsible for producing most of the airframe, armament, and the assembly of the F-22. Then his partner, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems manufactures the wings, avionics equipment, and pilot training and maintenance.

History

Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) is a contract for the demonstration and validation program that made the United States Air Force to develop a new generation air superiority fighter to face threats from outside the United States, including the development of the Su-27 aircraft-grade Soviet era.

In 1981, the United States Air Force to map the requirements to be met a new fighter aircraft that is planned to replace the F-15 Eagle. ATF planned to integrate modern technology such as advanced metal and composite materials, advanced control systems, high-powered propulsion systems, and stealth aircraft technology.
Proposals for the contract was filed in 1986, by two contractor teams, namely the Lockheed-Boeing-General Dynamics and Northrop-McDonnell Douglas, which was elected in October 1986 for the demonstration and validation phase for 50 months, which eventually produced two prototypes, the YF -22 and the YF-23.

The aircraft is planned to be the most advanced U.S. aircraft at the beginning of the 21st century, therefore, this aircraft is the most expensive fighter aircraft, at a price of U.S. $ 120 million per unit, or U.S. $ 361 million per unit when added to the cost of development. In April 2005, the total development cost of this program is U.S. $ 70 billion, causing the number of aircraft planned to be made down to 438, then 381, and now 180, from the initial plan of 750 aircraft. One of the factors causing this reduction is due to the F-35 Lightning II will have the same technology as the F-22, but with a cheaper unit prices

Production

F-22 production version was first delivered to Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, on January 14, 2003. Final testing and evaluation conducted on October 27, 2004. At the end of 2004, there have been 51 Raptor is sent, with 22 more booked in the fiscal 2004 budget. Destruction of the first production version occurred on December 20, 2004 at the time of takeoff, the pilot ejected safely after a few moments before it crashed. Investigation concluded that the fall of power interruptions when shut off the engine before takeoff causing damage to the control system.

F-22 Armament

F-22 is designed to carry air-to-air missiles are stored internally in the fuselage so as not to interfere with its stealth capabilities. Missile launch was preceded by opening the valve arms and missiles are driven downward by a hydraulic system. This aircraft could also carry bombs such as Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) and Small-Diameter Bomb (SDB) is more recent. In addition to internal storage, this aircraft can also carry weapons on four external points, but if it is used will greatly reduce the ability of stealth, speed, and agility. For backup guns, F-22 carrying automatic cannon M61A2 Vulcan 20 mm stored in the right side of the aircraft, the gun was carrying 480 rounds, and will be discharged if fired continuously for about five seconds. Nevertheless, the F-22 can use this gun when the fight without being detected, which will be needed when the missile is up.

Stealth capabilities of the F-22

Modern fighter aircraft are wearing contemporary Western features that make them more difficult to detect on radar than previous aircraft, such as the use of radar absorbing material. In the F-22, besides the use of radar absorbing material, shape and form F-22 is also designed, and other details such as the hook on the aircraft and the pilot’s helmet also been assembled for tersembunyi.F-22 is also designed to emit infra-red more difficult to be tracked by a missile “heat seekers”.

However, the F-22 does not depend on the radar absorbing material such as the F-117 Nighthawk. The use of this material could raise the issue because it is not resistant to bad weather. And unlike the stealth bomber B-2 Spirit that requires special hangars, the F-22 can be given regular maintenance on the hangar. In addition, the F-22 also has a system called “Signature Assessment System”, which will indicate when the aircraft radar footprint is already high, until eventually, require repairs and maintenance.

Afterburner usage also makes aircraft emissions more easily captured by the radar, it is thought the reason why the F-22 is focused to have the ability super cruise.

Helpful information for joining the military by a guy in the process.

Joining the military is an exciting and rewarding life choice. To some it brings honor and pride, others it brings security and adventure, or all of the above. Although this option of life is a very respectable one, does not mean it is not a scary choice to make. Making the transition from civilian life to military life and taking all the steps in between can be daunting. It is my hope to leave you with some relief, guidance and knowledge regarding your decision.

Research, research, and um… research some more!

It is always best to go into major decisions knowing what options are available to you. Thankfully the military is not shy in the information it allows for new recruits, although you may have to do a bit of digging to find certain specifics.

www.usmilitary.about.com is a mainstay for learning what the military has to offer. This website has all facets of military life posted including: Choosing a Service, Talking With a Recruiter, pay charts, job listings, etc. I would recommend browsing around and seeing what you can find.

After choosing a service, it is best to understand everything required to join, i.e. height/weight, vision, medical issues, etc. Each branch of the service has an outstanding website all of which have live chat with recruiters. The sites can be found here: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard.

      2. Contact a Recruiter

Meeting the recruiter for the first time can be intimidating, trust me. The first time I walked into the Air Force Recruiter’s office there were four or five buff tall guys in uniform… I almost walked out! Go in, knowing why you are there and know that they want you there. Dress decently as first impressions go a long way, and remember to be courteous to them. They are professionals doing a job and trying to help you out in life. They will ask you a few screening questions such as, any serious medical conditions you may have, your height and weight, if you are married, if you have ever done any illegal substances (don’t worry if you have, this does not automatically ban you from enlistment). After words they will take your height and weight and set you up with an appointment to take the asvab if you have not done so in the previous two years.

Stay posted for further steps as I am writing these articles as I go through the enlistment process myself, something of usefulness I am hoping others can learn from. In the meantime, after you have found your service of choice, search for branch specific forum boards as unofficial information from people with experience tends to give better in depth accounts of life in the military.

Good Luck and until next time!

Can not imagine that the jet below the most expensive in the world.

Jet is meant here is the F/A-22 Raptor, the nickname is reminiscent of wild animals like T-Rex the dinosaur movie. (Note: F / A symbolizes the jet characteristics, ie, as combatants and attack aircraft, fighter and attack). This is a jet that has been coined 23 years ago, and now the most expensive fighter jet in history. Raptor has now entered the ranks of the Air Force (Air Force) U.S. (USAF).

Get plenty of records that can be made for the F/A-22 Raptor. As reported by Tim Weiner in The New York Times (and published in the International Herald Tribune, 28/10 / 2004), by the U.S. Air Force marks the scene of the Raptor called the new history of air power. He is the most technologically advanced fighter plane ever built, as well as a flying stealth antenna (stealthy, invisible radar) that can capture enemy intelligence, and it’s done dropping smart bombs, and shot with a speed of 1,600 km per hour.

F/A-22 RAPTOR was developed in 1981 to meet the needs of the U.S. Air Force advanced tactical fighter aircraft will also have ground attack capability to replace the F-15 Eagle.

In that year, of course, the Cold War paradigm is still very strong. So, which is included in the mandated mission to the Raptor is a “break through the Soviet radars without being detected, and shoot down Soviet aircraft if World War III broke out.”

In fact, F/A-22 tempo requires 23 years to move from drawing board to production line, and into the ranks of the U.S. Air Force fighter squadrons. This means the F/A-22 came as times have changed. Cold War is over, and the USAF has now become an air force without a duel. While the enemy who used to have to face now also has become the air force which was struggling to maintain its glory. (See Andrew Brookes reports on Air International, August 2004.)

During the wait is nearly a quarter century, the F/A-22 was almost doomed five years ago, that when members of Congress from Republicans trying to kill him. The author himself, Lockheed Martin, which is the largest military contractor in the U.S., apparently was just able to feel calm now.

In addition to Lockheed doubt the ability to realize the required capability, the reason for the killing F/A-22 course money. With the price of 258 million dollars per aircraft, F/A-22 obviously much more expensive than any fighter aircraft ever made. The price was four times the price that had been mentioned by the U.S. Air Force, and five times compared to the price of the F-15 that he would replace.

Price aircraft manufacturing is supported by no less than 1,000 subcontractors in 43 states in the U.S. is derived from total orders worth 71.8 billion U.S. dollars to 277 jets, so that each aircraft worth 258 million U.S. dollars. Of course the price per unit was going to go down if the Pentagon to buy more. In contrast, the price will be more expensive if the Pentagon bought for less than 277, or if the plane should be upgraded in the future.

HISTORY F/A-22 might be reminiscent of the aircraft B-1B Lancer bomber and B-2 Spirit. Both are also designed to penetrate Soviet radar, but when it finally appeared, they face the times have changed. B-1B instead included in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. B-2 is now the aircraft (bombers) the most expensive in the world at a price above $ 1 billion (Rp 9 trillion) per unit.

However, with the sophistication of technology has, who is now to be faced by the F/A-22? Soviet jets, and now Russia, the technology is not there the same level with him. Then the countries that are now judged to threaten the U.S. does not have a jet fighter that can match the F-15 Eagle.

Naturally, if the question arises, whether the F/A-22 aircraft is fit for the future. At least that is expressed by Jacques Gansler, a former official at the U.S. Department of Defense during the reign of Bill Clinton.

Year after year, writes Weiner, Raptor shift from the plane, which will be purchased in large quantities by the AU, the plane is too expensive to be purchased in large quantities.

Lockheed party himself explained, the plane take long to make because of the sophistication of the technology mandated by him, but also because the opposition Congress and the resignation of payment. Two decades ago, the U.S. Air Force plans to buy about 760 Raptor, is based on the initial price of 35 million U.S. dollars per unit. A decade later dropped the plan to 438 aircraft orders, then a 339 at the end of the 1990s, and now only 277. Military experts said such a development “Death Spiral”, which with the passage of time and the increasingly high cost of making a weapon that can be bought by the Pentagon to shrink in number.

Indeed if to mismanagement, such situations can make orders not so manifest, as where a contractor may make an order which is very expensive for its development, but then just bought a little. But the leaders said Lockheed, fortunately escaped from the Raptor can dive into the abyss of death, although in 1999 his fate is really critical when the U.S. House Armed Services Committee that was chaired by Republican politicians threatening to kill the program immediately.

WITH the entry of the F-22 Raptor in the ranks of active service, in addition to Lockheed happy of course the U.S. Air Force. Lockheed itself, which this year is expected to reap sales of 35 billion U.S. dollars, still make the legendary F-16 jet, and is developing future combat aircraft Joint Strike Fighter F-35 that would not only be used by the AU, but also by AL and Marines. This aircraft, which will be made by the thousands, by Lockheed executives had predicted would reach the status of “world domination”, because in addition to be used in the U.S., the F-35 will also be used by the British, a number of NATO countries, Australia, and most likely Singapore.

Back on the F/A-22 Raptor, Lockheed may still be asked to monitor the performance of sophisticated homemade jet, the last two years still showed problems in avionics or aviation electronics. In fact, it is also related to its ability to detect enemy fighters far beyond the pilot’s field of view.

Now, 23 years after being developed, began serving Raptor. One raised production aircraft (roll-out) from the Lockheed plant in Marietta, Georgia, 27 October, and the most expensive fighter in the world then join to the 27th Fighter Squadron at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

By operating the most advanced jets and the most expensive, the U.S. Air Force is much more left in the world. The Air Force for procurement of four Sukhoi jets just have to face controversy crowded, must also see that how far the differences between himself and the USAF. But not only the Air Force who mumbled so, because other countries will also be a similar comment. That is what explains why the U.S. is the only superpower in the world.

2. As you have learned to read word for word, your eyes move several times on each line, and fatigue your eyes and it also slows down your reading.

During the last world war, the U.S. Air Force had a big problem: the pilots did not identify the enemy planes fast enough.

The laboratories of the U.S. Air Force began therefore developed a secret weapon: tachitoscope.

A device that could project an image at 1/500th of a second!

Obviously it was expected that pilots can not see.

Surprise, they not only saw the image but could also identify the aircraft.

Better yet, if they planned 3 images 1/500th of a second each, they identified a perfect model of each plane. Incredible!

They developed a mandatory training with this tool to all the drivers and the drive was kept secret until the end of the war.

But the discovery did not stop there.

They tried with WORDS.

Same, the subjects could read the words at 1/500th of a second.

Does that mean that one could read 500 words per second? Is it that you could multiply and mentally? The prestigious Harvard Business School began to test new methods of reading based on these future discovery.

Today this method is no longer reserved for the army and is accessible to everyone wishing to improve!

Indeed, what surprises most people who learn to read fast, it’s how easy it is to progress, even if initially it feels unable to do so.

Here are some of the pitfalls that prevent your natural talent for great reader-Growing:

1. As you learned to read aloud, without you knowing it, you continue to use your vocal cords imperceptibly reading.

However, this movement is less muscle faster than your thoughts. It slows you down.

2. As you have learned to read word for word, your eyes move several times on each line, and fatigue your eyes and it also slows down your reading.

3. I’m sure you do not know your time fixing. It is a major obstacle to reading flash. The eye rests on the kinds of steps – and of course we can change that.

Sincerely,

Jean-Marc Gros

HAARP stands for High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program and is research project funded by United States Navy, United States Air Force, DARPA and the University of Alaska.

Officialy, purpose of HAARP research project is to analyze the ionosphere to enhance radio communications and surveillance.

The main instrument of the HAARP station is Ionospheric Research Instrument, IRI which is used to super heat the upper part of the atmosphere; the ionosphere.

Many people in the United States and around the world think that there may be something else, more sinister to the HAARP, and that HAARP may be weather control, directed-energy weapon capable of causing earthquakes and other “natural” disasters.

Quick Facts:

1990. – HAARP program began

1993. – Work on the HAARP station began

2007. – IRI (Ionospheric Research Instrument) was completed (main contractor BAE Advanced Technologies)

2008. – Cost of HAARP was $250 million tax money

There are related HAARP facilities in Puerto Rico, Norway and Russia

HAARP station is strictly forbidden area.

For starters, the U.S. Air Force will pay $ 3.5 billion for the development and delivery of 18 planes by the year 2017.

Analysts said the choice was a surprise Boeing, EADS is considered a favorite. In fact, the first bid to change the tanker aircraft were held into the scandal.

EADS will wait for the official announcement of the U.S. Air Force before deciding whether to lodge an appeal, having at its disposal ten days after contract award is announced.
