			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><p>In the Windsor Heights suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, one can find what is believed to be the only sculpture on earth created &#8211; supposedly to scale and in extraordinary detail &#8211; of what the creator claims to be an adult specimen of the legendary creature commonly known as Bigfoot.</p>

<p>Clifford LaBrecque, 73, commissioned the sculpture as long ago as 1976, claiming that it three months were needed to get it from his head into that of the sculptor, the fiberglass-and-fur model costing $9,000 at the time, and according to the owner, accurate in every detail</p>
<p>This striking model, dominating his dining room at 8 feet tall supposedly depicts accurately what the 73 year old recalls of sightings and an actual physical encounter on June 18, 1977, between 9-10 p.m. near a woodpile behind his house.</p>
<p>LaBrecque claims to have observed, before the scuffle, on most nights a Bigfoot specimen that was on occasion accompanied by what appeared to be two juveniles. He argued with a Des Moines newspaper over Bigfoot photographs copyright should the newspaper act on his tip and obtain photographs, having decided that, on June 18th he would shoot the larger Bigfoot.</p>

<p><p>It had been in 1977 that he first laid eyes on Bigfoot, one night looking into his back yard to see what he thought was the neighbour&#8217;s dog on the wood pile, till he realized that height of the wood meant the creature must be something much bigger.</p>
<p>That set a series of sightings in motion that would lead him to spend countless nights looking for more evidence of the creatures.&nbsp; He does fully understand that some people are very skeptical, though he has a video which he refuses to make public, swearing blindly that it is of the creature in the natural habitat.</p>
</p>
<p>There was a showing of his &nbsp;Bigfoot model at the 1977 Iowa State Fair, and it did indeed attract many visitors, some of whom told stories of their own Bigfoot sightings.&nbsp; LaBrecque himself has been the subject of ridicule for creating the Bigfoot model before actually seeing it, though to him that sighting merely confirmed all that he had previously heard..</p>
<p>This Bigfoot story has only come to light again because a news reporter showed renewed interest in the creature, sighted four years ago, supposedly in a rural area near West Plains. To this man, and many others, Bigfoot really does exist, but how you feel about this legend only you can decide.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Barbadian pop superstar Rihanna was ordered to cover up by a Christian Irish farmer who took exception to her &#8220;inappropriate behavior&#8221; while filming a music video on his land. The controversy has erupted in Northern Ireland and was even discussed Tuesday, September 27 by lawmakers in the province&#8217;s elected Assembly in Belfast. Rihanna, who was born in Barbabos but has Irish ancestry, is in Northern Ireland this week for sold-out shows at Belfast&#8217;s Odyssey Arena.</p>
<p>The 23-year-old had been given permission to film a video for the song&nbsp;<i>We Found Love</i>&nbsp;in a muddy barley field owned by farmer Alan Graham.</p>
<p>He explained Tuesday, that he &#8220;didn&rsquo;t know who was coming. If the name &#8216;Rihanna&#8217; had been mentioned, well, no disrespect, but it wouldn&#8217;t have meant anything.&#8221;</p>
<p>However, Mr. Graham said when he went to get his tractor on Monday, September 26, and saw the singer stripping down to a bikini top; he stepped in to end the shoot.</p>
<p>Mr. Graham&#8217;s wife has shed more light on the incident revealing that Rihanna had gone topless. &#8220;What she was doing became more inappropriate when she started to go topless, that&#8217;s what her husband was objecting to &hellip; things were getting out of hand. There was a man as well, and the behavior was getting more inappropriate. It wasn&#8217;t the sort of thing Mr. Graham wanted young people to see on his land. (We) are Christians,&#8221; Mrs. Graham said. Mr. Graham said he &#8220;asked the film crew to stop, and they did.&#8221; He insisted that &#8220;there were no hard feelings.&#8221;</p>

<p>I often wonder if the continuous release of sex tapes, music videos and naked pictures featuring artistes are attempts to stay in the spotlight that have gone too far.</p>
<p>I am especially ashamed of the bunch whose names have been making the rounds because this activity. Their talent is not what is making them the hot topic, it is instead the act. They are now being critiqued for their talent as porn stars rather than as entertainers.</p>
<p>I wonder if they are so desperate to make it, that they have chosen to lower themselves in the eyes of the public. Let us face it, artistes are admired as role models by many children and adults and what they are caught doing on these tapes and videos is disgraceful and leaves a lot to be desired.</p>
<p>Their fellow artistes, who keep quiet and allow this rotten few to misrepresent the industry are no better as they do not recognize that because of their silence, they are allowing themselves to be judged equally with them.</p>
<p>I know the entertainers could not be doing this if the society was not accepting of it. The widespread acceptance and interest in these pictures and videos only emphasizes how far gone we are as a society.</p>
<p>When we will get up and say enough is enough and yes the media in some cases has been the avenue putting it out there, but if you do not consume it, they will not do it. So it is full time that everybody recognize that they have a responsibility to play.</p>
<p>Becoming an adult does not only mean, you can do what you want when you want. It also means you need to be responsible, you need to have self respect, you need to put a value on your life and determine what you are willing to do to maintain this value.</p>
<p>Based on the low standards of some artistes by their actions in the business, I am beginning to feel that some entertainers have got it twisted and are selling themselves cheap to make money. There is a funny thing about cheap things though, they seldom last long.</p>
